After Effects

HI. Im trying to create a pixilated dissolve effect so that I can introduce a logo onto the screen. But im having trouble making the effect only apply to the mask and not the whole screen.  

Does anyone know why some properties and functions are not showing in my After Effects? Is there any solution?

assinei o teste de 7 dias, e jogaram um plano anual logo apos meus dias gratuitos, sem meu consetimento, nem ao menos me deram o poder de escolha de escolher qual seria meu plano apos isso, eu planejava usar 1 mes, mas tive uma pessiam experiencia c esse golpe q vcs dão jogando a assinatura mais cara em formato de contrato para tirar 150 reais de multa caso o cancelamento. 

iam using the latest updated After Effects, in the new updated version, iam getting a White block shape  appearing behind vectors in After Effects after importing from illustrator, and i cant attach  the illustrator work file here in the community post,

So I am trying to export a video that I made in element 3-D on after effects. I am just learning the program and messing around. I am trying to export this with a transparent background, but when I do so inside Premier Pro or OBS studios the black background reappears. I’ve rendered it with QuickTime eight bit plus Alpha channel. It still appears. I’ve used the Adobe media encoder and made it a web file to include Alpha channel and black background still appears please see videos for reference.. I am getting really hung up and defeated and appreciate any help

Hi everyone,I'm working on an automation project in After Effects using data from a JSON file,but I'm hitting a wall with linking my logos.The Setup:I have a pre-comp named TRING_LOGOS containing a Dropdown Menu Control. Inside this comp,I have a simple setup where the menu selects different logos. This works perfectly when controlled manually.I have exposed this Dropdown Menu to the Master Comp using Essential Properties.My JSON file sends the channel data as a String (e.g., "SPORT1"), not a number.The Problem:When I try to link the JSON data directly to the Dropdown Menu property in the Master Comp,I get an Expression Error. I realize this is because the Dropdown Menu expects an Index/Integer(1, 2, 3...), but my JSON is providing a String ("SPORT1").The Question:Is there an expression I can apply to the Dropdown Menu property that will lookup the string from the JSON, match it against a list of my menu items,and automatically return the correct index number?I have attached a video sh

I would like to report a version-specific issue in Adobe After Effects.After Effects 24.6.8 works perfectly on my system with no performance or stability issues.However, in After Effects versions 25 and above, the Composition Panel frequently freezes during work, while the rest of the interface may remain partially responsive.Because of this issue, the newer versions are currently unusable for professional projects, and I am forced to stay on 24.6.8.System specifications:• Laptop: ASUS ROG Strix 16• Processor: Intel Core Ultra 9• RAM: 16 GB• Stable Version: After Effects 24.6.8• Problematic Versions: After Effects v25 and aboveThis appears to be a regression or compatibility issue introduced in v25+ rather than a hardware limitation.Requesting Adobe to investigate this issue and provide a fix or recommended workaround.

The moment I try to drag in or manually import 3D objects into AE (latest version) this happens. I checked almost all the other posts on this issue, but none of the solutions worked for me unfortunately  I tried:  reinstalling (and reinstalling to default path), running as admin, making sure my username and AE file path does not have unicode characters, checking if the 3D models are faulty, resetting prefrences, purging cache and updating and changing gpu driver's type (game ready to studio)  specs: Ryzen 5 3600 / GTX 1660 super (noticed someone had a similar issue with this graphics cards line) but to my research, this supports advanced 3D right? What can I do further? please help!

Does AE have a transform mode that allows for selecting and transforming selected path nodes, similar to below:rotating the hand seperatly

When i try to launch After Effects this message pops up. After EffectsAfter Effects can’t continue: An unexpected error has occurred and After Effects will now shutdown.Please check you have the appropriate permissions to launch After Effects as well as read/write access to the After Effects preferences folder.If any other error messages were displayed prior to this, please review, and resolve if possible.

I tried tracking some footage but the analysis failed.  Now my preview has a red banner across it saying, "3d camera tracker doesn't work with time remapping" and I can't get it to go away.  I've even tried closing and reopening AE.  Any tips? 

There’s a playhead issue in After Effects when using Dynamic Link. In Premiere Pro, the video plays without any problems, but as soon as I return to After Effects and press the spacebar to preview the video, it plays for literally one second and then freezes. The playhead doesn’t move, and the video panel itself becomes laggy. This is visible in the screen recording when I changed the zoom level.Restarting After Effects and clearing the cache helps, but this bug happens very, very often, and every time I have to reopen the program. My PC specs:Windows 11Ryzen 9 9950X3D64 GB RAMRTX 5070 Ti I’m using the latest versions of the software: After Effects 25.6 and Premiere Pro 26.6.3I’ve allocated 300 GB of SSD space for cache and 58 GB of RAM. CUDA acceleration is enabled in Project Settings, and I’m using the latest NVIDIA Studio drivers (591.44). Please help me fix this!

Hi!For some time now, every time I use the "align" function on multiple layers, the order in which they are arranged in the composition is not correct.In the video below, I duplicate "LAYER1", then drag LAYER6 down.By selecting LAYER1 to LAYER6, and then clicking on the vertical alignment option, the layers should be "distributed" in order within my composition. However, this is not the case...Do you know why I'm having this issue, please?

Clicking on the ▲ menu item in the 'Window' menu registers as a click on the Title Bar underneath it. Steps to reproduce: - Open multiple compositions until the 'Window' menu requires scrolling   OR Add Script Panels until the 'Window' menu requires scrolling - Click the ▲ menu item while it's over the Title Bar Two rapid clicks will resize the After Effects window.It would be nice to be able to scroll the mouse in the 'Window' menu.  Mike

estoy haciendo una animación de un gato sentandose para la clase de principios de animación y al presionar la barra del teclado para inicar el movimiento como que me sale un cuadro donde dice, error: previsualización de un cache donde debo precisar dos o mas fotogrmas para poder reproducir. El cual, npo entiendo a que se refiere el anuncio, ¿me podrian explicarme mejor a que se refiere y como resolverlo?

Hello.I have noticed this release of the Creative Cloud is being released in Installments, which is weird on its own, but some of the software is still on the 2025 version, 3 months later.I'm noticing there are betas of app versions well beyond the 26.0 release.After Effects, for example, is already on the 26.1.1 beta.I would like for someone at Adobe to let us know when we can expect the 2026 release for the remaining apps.Cheers.
