We are bulk processing a lot of soundfiles containing speech, normalizing them to -3dB.Everyone once in a while, something like this happens: Volume is raised to the max, which causes a very loud distortion. It usually lasts less than a second. The audio is not recorded in Audition. We are on Windows 10.Any idea what might be causing this, and how it can be avoided?
Hello,I have been podcast producing now for a few years and love Audition. Every once in a while I notice something that would drastically increase efficiency of editing. I often edit in multitrack and use the time selection tool to eliminate audio by ripple deleting. I moslty do this very fast with keyboard shortcuts and is primarily used to trim dead space and tighten up the gaps. As I have gotten more used to visually seeing these gaps, I've grown a huge desire to remove them while NOT moving the playhead to the start of the time seleciton. In other words I want to be able to EDIT ahead of the playhead while letting the playhead run in real time. I want to use the time selection tool both with and without it being attached to moving the playhead with it. I hope this makes sense and that this can become a discussion. I would love to be able to listen and remove the gaps in real time at the same time but also be able to move the playhead wi
Any idea why the mixer will not allow the sliders and I can not access any of the features like mastering
The slack in the remix option is not working. I tried with different target durations and all were off by a lot.Any ideas on what could be the culprit?
Hi there,I am in the middle of an edit with four tracks on multi track using tracks 1-4. I have somehow managed to remove track 3 but I can still hear it and it is still visable in the overview above.. can anyone help with getting track 3 back? thanks
Hi,I cannot copy part audio in another trackEg. I have a multitrack with movie + track1 + track2, if I copy a portion of the second track and paste it in the first track, this is not copied but you replace the track 1 for the same timeThis problem isn't there with a single track without using multitrackIs there any setting to change or am I wrong something? Thanks
Hi So i am making a 15sec TV commercial, but the speak has a big gap in it + the end subtle music ending in a fade. My problem is first of all that the LU is 3.0.But how would i go about lowering it without it getting all muddy.i think its to much of a jump in the audio level for that short amount of time. This got me thinking that maybe its my workflow thats way of. i process the the timed and cut voice via RX connect (plugin), do minor tweeks in AU, then create a mixdown and run that through match loudness at EBU R128 settings.
Hello I frequently work with multichannel files, and when bringing them into my editor I often times will extract the files to mono so I can work with each individually. Although my source files are multichannel, they are not necessarily tied to a 5.1 or 7.1 channel mapping. Any time I extract to mono, they get assigned a channel such as L,R,C,LFE etc and get rearranged in my editor. I was wondering if there was any setting somewhere I could disable the automatic mapping to 5.1 and just have the output channels be ch1, ch2, ch3 ext in the order they are writting in the source wav.
Pluguei o microfone USB BM-800 no meu Imac e ele foi reconhecido.Só que dentro do Adobe Audition ele diz não está funcionando.Diz que é erro de TAXA DE AMOSTRAGEM.Alguém com o mesmo problema?

Hello, im using audition for the first, because i need an audio file for a project.I need to generate a tone that changed frequency over time. for instance it needs to start at 330hz and slowly go up to 400hz over time. But i can't seem to figure out how to make this happen.Hopefully one of you knows the answer to this
I am a podcast editor and I use Adobe Audition to edit the audio. I've run into the issue of not being able to keep the sounds level. I manually go in and adjust the volume of the peaks and the quieter spots to make it more level but is there something within the program that I can, say, set the target volume to -16dbs? The audio is stripped from Skype phone calls, and while the host always has a great sound set up, the guest does not always. I'm trying to make the levels as even as possible. Is there anything that can help?
I've recorded something on my computer but want to pass it to someone else to work on (they also have Adobe Audition). How do I transfer the files?
Telephone support transfered me 4 times then just straight up hung up on me. Their remote login support said i should just reinstall Windows.
Have an important lecture on video. But the recording was with this Auto level crap on audio turned on. So, the hum when the lecturer used pauses does grow the longer the pause. As you understand, deHumm doesn't really help much. So, I have to go in and manually mute all the pauses. I know it will not sound natural. It's Ok. But may be you'd have some tips on how to auto mark the silence? I know about Diagnostics - Mark Speech, and about Diagnostics - Delete Silence. But is there a way to make a cross breed the two so to say? Mark Silence, instead of deleting it? Or any other way to speed up the process? Thanks in Advance...
Hey everyone,I'm in a bit of a pickle. My temp folder was acting up, so I followed the advice in thread I found here on this forum that said I should reset Audition to its "vanilla preferences". So I started up Audition while holding down "shift". After I had done this Audition asked me if I wanted to reset everything to my 9.0 settings and I clicked "yes" - what I didn't know what that it removed all the new presets I had made. So now I'm in a really bad situation where tons and tons of presets are gone.I've noticed that my Library/Preferences/Adobe/Audition/10.0 folder is still there and in that folder there is an Effect Rack folder. It's empty though but it's also empty in the 9.0, 8.0, and 7.0 folders. So I was kinda hoping that I could get Audition to look at the settings that should still be there in the 10.0 folder. I've attached a screenshot so you can see what I mean Does anyone know if this is possible? Or have I seriously lost all my presets? I mean, hopefully Audition
Has anyone been having issues with Audition crashing lately. It seems to be happening a lot where it will mention an error, prompt me to send an error report, and then close.
Hey all - I'm trying to export an OMF for another mixer, and when I try to export the program gets to "generating audio files" and gives me an error that says "Unable to open a required file". In the bin, my sesx file has the red exclamation next to it. I've tried everything I can think of to fix it. Anyone know a fix or have any ideas for me to try?
Adobe CC userQuestion#1: Im trying to create Adobe 5.1 music files in Audition. I created a 5.1 Multitrack and I managed to separate bass from treble into separate tracks. Then I pan the tracks for effect. It sounds okay in Audition, but when I export it to Premier Pro the panning is not saved or exported. So I end up having to repeat the panning in Premier Pro. Question #2 : The original files I am working with are in sterio. I separate the bass and treble in Audition. Bass becomes my Left Front and Treble becomes my Right Front. I put the original sterio file in the Center track. I Repeat Bass and Treble in the surround sound speakers. How do I get, or what should I put in the LFE speaker track??? Right now it is an empty track. Thanks in advance for help and suggestions
Has anyone else had trouble getting help with Audition? Mine suddenly stopped playing and recording. It's been a nightmare trying to get help.
I've just completed re-editing 180 audio files using Audition: I couldn't figure out a way to keep the PEAK software-specific files from being saved into the same folder as the audio files. In a perfect world, there would be a Preference Setting allowing user to direct these files to be save in a different folder from which the files can be opened when the audio file is opened by user.
I have audition 2.0 but when i follow instructions to install on new computer with 3.0 it says invalid SN. Where do i get new SN for 3.0 to replace my 2.0 edition?
I recently switched out my Audio Interface with a Tascam US-4x4HR and all of my sessions sound like the driods from starwars! I'm completely lost and don't know what is causing it. Any help? I'll attach a small sample.
I just upgraded to Audition 2020 and all of my custom effects racks are empty. This has happened with past updates and is extremely frustrating. I already looked in the documents folder and it is empty. Is there any way to recover these?
One of the most interesting tools in audition 3.0, was mix paste and its ability to reveal all the clicks that have removed after the clip/pop eliminator process had been applied. That was very helpful especially in ripping vinyl. Unfortunately, this is not the case regarding the latest audition editions. I have repeatedly tried to adjust the settings but I have reached a dead end. If anyone has mastered this, please do share. Thanks in advance for your helpStelios
