Hello all,Does anyone know of a way to organize different kinds of files within the main file window in Audition? For instance, I can have a multi-track session open with upwardds of 100 individual files at a time. It would be really handy if there was some way to group all of the music files together in a folder, or separate list, so I could toggle between narration files and music files without having to do so much scrolling. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.Best,Adam
Hi there, I'm working in Audition, in multitrack, and I'm hoping to be able to highlight a clip, then drop it down to the next track as a unique file. Currently I can highlight the clip, hold down option, and drop the file down — but then if other changes are made to the file above, they can affect that clip too, because it didn't make a unique copy. Is there a quick way to do this, rather than highlighting, going into waveform view, choosing save selection, then putting that clip into multitrack?I swear I was able to do this with an older version... Any help would be hugely appreciated! It would make my job so much easier if I could just drop down unique clips in the multitrack view. Thank you! Jen
Hello,I prepare interviews on behalf of my company, the latter provided me with the Hind...g application but I just passed the budget to switch to Adobe Audition which seems to me much more professional to do all the work of postprod. Following the Covid crisis, I am forced to continue my work by doing my interviews via Discord. With my old Hind...g app in a few seconds I managed to assign Discord to one track (Other program) but in Audition I struggle to find the solution to have what I hear (Discord) on one track and my microphone on another track. Can you help me, please ? This is my configuration : W10 / Soundcard Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 USB / micro 55SH Shure Thanks for all
Hello. I figured I would share my ignorance in the hopes that it brings someone joy at being able to solve somethng easily. I am running Audition CC, current build. I have an M32r connectd via USB to my desktop. I have installed the ASIO driver (TEKNIK DN32). I can SEE that the inputs are working (levels are going all up and down and stuff) and I can RECORD and then playback by switching to MME. However, I cannot listen through ASIO. There is no option, as far as I can tell, for sending an output to headphones. Please help a beknighted soul.
good nightI would like help because we have an Allen & Heath QU-32 where we send via USB audio to the PC, we do the separate mix for live transmission. But to make the mix separated by channel, Audition only sends the audio to the table itself. We would like to send the audio to a card and then to the pc that does the transmissiongetting the way down.QU-32> audition> audio card> pc for transmission
When I drag or import the Audio file onto the Track, the initial part of the audio gets cut off, while the rest functions perfectly.Any reason why this is happening and how can it be corrected?
I'm wondering if there's a way to set Audition to record in voice-activated mode. Or if there's a way to do it in any other desktop app that the community knows about. When I'm working on a project, I'd like to talk about the process and record it, but sometimes there'd be long delays before I speak. The best way to avoid those long silences would be to use voice activation. Thanks for any help you can provide. BTW, I just discovered that we have to use one of the topic titles as keywords IN our post, in order to be able to choose a topic. If there are no words in your post that also occur in the topics list, you won't be able to post. Might have been nice of Adobe to point that out. It would save some frustration.
Do you have to use words in your topic title that occur in the topics list? No, you don't! All you have to do is select a topic at random...
I know I have next to no chance of fixing this, but I was editing the last episode of a podcast series, and the session crashed. When I tried to reopen it, all edits have disappeared. Like, even renaming tracks, everything. I tried opening backups, earlier versions ... every single one is now an empty multitrack session. Many hours of work gone. Couldn't be more puzzled ... or upset.
hello i want too extend my trial for audition please help
The livestream of my wedding went disasterously wrong! We ended up with two audio inputs into the stream, so it came out with the second audio track delayed by half a second, as the clip shows. Is there any way to fix this as its our main record of the day!
Hi Guys, I am new to audition. I have an audio file and i need to check some measurements of Loudness/Peak. The required level is, Integrated: -12.0 LUFSShort Term: -9.3 LUFSPeak: 0.0 dBTP Where to find this options in adobe audition. Regards,Vasanth
I've read dozens of posts of people having the same issues I have but I don't really understand how they fixed their issue. Everything was working just fine but any time I open up the file and try to do anything with it audition crashes. I reinstalled it, I updated my drivers. I just don't know what to do or how to fix this and it's frustrating that this happens the day I'm supposed to turn this project in and it's not even close to done. Help, please.
I'm in the process of doing audio for a short film, which we want the dialogue of characters to sound like the same syllable being rapidly repeated, like in these examples:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPeuuCbc55c&ab_channel=ThumbsUpMasterhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HEhl8kq1rA&ab_channel=QuackTeamJames I wanted to know if there was a way to set this up easilly in Audition, since it will need to be used for multiple characters and instances. A way to do the pitch-shifts like in the Banjo example would be helpful too.
I am pretty new to Audition, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I was just wondering: If I have say, a hard limiter, with the green power button on, when I export the multitrack session will the effects export along with it? Or will the clips be exported as their original version?
Hi friends I am putting the finishing touches on a podcast -- we conducted the interview using Squadcast remote interview platform, which works well but is totally at the mercy of the remote subject's recording equipment and environment. Our guest in this episode has a recurrent static/hiss that occurs on about 70% of her dialogue. I have tried all the noise reduction tools I know, and cannot remove it without creating artifacts, so I am working through it with the paintbrush and heal tool in spectral mode, manually painting out the static. This is working -- but seems like a very arduous and lengthy approach. I am attaching a sample of the .wav file with the noise in -- can any of you suggest a process that will get rid of this noise? And do you have any thoughts on what caused it? We're thinking of sending a headphone/mic combination to guests ahead of time to avoid this, but for now, I have to deal with what I have. Thanks in advance.Ro
Hi, I recorded something on my trumpet and it sounded fine, and then when I hit record again, my levels went through the roof. All I did between takes was add reverb. How do I put the levels back to normal?
I recorded an audio file. I saved it in .wav format. I see the audio file, but when I go to play it back, there is nothing. Also, I tried to take a piece of the audio and copy and paste it into a separate file and when it pastes, there is no visual audio. It just comes up blank, although I see how long the file is, (in time) I do not see the wav file, only in the orginal do I see the audio file. Any suggestions on what happened and how I can fix it?
Hi all, I am pretty new to Audition. I am working through a series of videos and am trying to clean up the audio in Audition. Each video has several audio files and so I have imported all of the files from one video into the multitrack editor. I want to do some more precise work and so I clicked "edit source audio" but now I can't figure out how to get the edited audio back to multitrack. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Hi all,I have been burning CDRs with Audition CS5. The discs in question are compilations I have made up from various CDs old and new with a lot of varation on listening volumes. As you can imagine the older CDs are quieter than the newer ones. I decided to convert all the files to -3db. The problem I have come up against is in some instances a certain song may only reach -3db in only ONE instance in that song and the remainder of the song is below -3db which makes it sound quieter than other songs on that compilation. Is there anything within CS5 to slightly boost the quieter parts of that song or is there a separate program that can do this. Any thoughts would be most welcome.
I have some old audio cassette tapes of my grandparents talking about their lives. I want to digitize them, organize them and put them online so that all of my relatives can listen/download them. The copying them part is easy. I have digitized them and have one audio file for each cassette. I am at a bit of a loss as to where to go from there. For example, what kind of Audition project would best suit my needs, and lots of other questions, most of which I don't even know I have yet. Any advice?
Hey All,Is there a way to monitor and adjust volume/record levels prior to hitting the record button? Cant seem to google this anywhere. I have never seen a platform where you couldnt do this. Just havent figured out how! Thanks!
I mainly use it to make some cuts and crossfades, and when i go to export multiractk mixdown, in settings i select same as source and constant 320 kbps but the output is still around 192. (Using Spek to view)This doesnt happen in Audacity.Reddit thread:www(dot)reddit(dot)com/r/AdobeAudition/comments/k92g6e/adobe_audition_always_lowers_the_song_quality_on/
Are there any updates available for Cool Edit 2000 or can I upgrade to Audition free of charge?
I was having no issuses with editing my voice clips, but this one clip wont allow itself to be edited, nor will it play audio. i have the most recent version of audition on a windows 10 laptop yet as i said, no issues till now with one single clip. all others play fine and can be edited and heard no problems. also the clip can be heard in premiere pro like its nothing, hence y i was able to tell it was too long as an outro and needed to be redone fully, so like i did with the intro i tried highlighting with ctrl-a and its grayed out, i try highlighting and it looks as if its making an in and out point instead, and i really need to get this done before i go to sleep tonight, and sleep is needed, as the video im making, is for the class i have in the morning.
