Audition

Hi Folks,I'm sorry in advance, as this is long.  I have discovered a work around this morning, but it's probably not right in the long run.  I'd still like to get on top of this problem.  Thank you for your time and knowledge.  I just updated to the latest version of Audition (13.0.5) on 04/26/2020 and within 24 hours, AA began intermittently freezing and crashing with intermittant latency (clipping the end of my file).  I attempted to reach support  and was directed here as they're experiencing a heavy load right now.  Here's what I'm experiencing: *AA freezes and crashes under a couple different circumstances.*It will crash when I open a current session file and attempt to correct my input/output, as it is newly defaulting to either "none and none" or "default & master". *It also crashes when I start a new session file, if I don't choose my output as "master". When I change ouptut to "main outs", which is what I use, it freez

I just re-installed AA 3.0. In edit mode, I know you can synchronize cursor across windows.I've done it for 20 years.  I can't find how to re-active this feature.  I have tried!What am I missing?  Do I need to upgrade something?    

This is a ReWire vsti plugin ReWire VST - VST plugin with ReWire Download any free 64bit/32bit vst FX plugin rename it  > ReWire Audition (64).dll  ReWire Audition (32).dllput it in your plugin folder, scan in Audition for it, now rename the original ReWire.dll  > ReWire Audition (64).dll  ReWire Audition (32).dllnow replace the one in your vst folder, load it into a track with any wav file in it.Set bars beats offset to 1:2.00 as Au sync starts on beat 2, you can slide the tracks or offset in your ReWire slave.I haven't tried it on Mac but it should work.You can also load into MiniHost or Blue Cat's PatchWork Re: Using Virtual Instruments in Adobe Audition CC CS (MIDI) I will try and get an FX plug that will load straight in.

Everything goes as normal (I selected input and output to focusrite) but get no sound when I export to any format.  Below is shot of doc settings I used.  Any help?

Hello everyone, first post to the community. 🙂 Is there a way to utilize an external microphone interface for mutitrack recording in real time? I'm a drummer and using a QSC TouchMix30Pro as my interface in which all my mic's are connected. Audition can "see" the hardware but even after viewing the tutorials, I can't seem to figure out a way to map CH1 to Track 1, CH2 to Track 2, etc etc. I've double checked to make sure the settings on the TouchMix match those in Audition (i.e. sample rate etc).I am however able to do this with my Focusrite 2i2 interface.Worth noting I can set up mapping rather easily via Logic or ProTools.Thanks in advance for the help!!

I'm trying to do sound design for a movie and need to be able to play my USB keyboard using Apple's Mainstage while viewing and recording the movie in Audition. Optionally, I could play the keyboard through Garageband and record in Audition. Please assist! Thanks!

Can Audition be installed on more than one computer? My laptop and desktop?  

I am getting ready to purchase Adobe Audition but I want to make sure there is phone/chat support. I have some experiece with AA having used it at my radio station. If I had a problem there, I just got IT to help. I don't have that option at home and I know I will need it at times. There are quite a few negative comments about the lack of support.  Any feedback will be appreciated.  Thanks, Glen Fisher

 Hello,   I'm a new user and I'm  trying to  set up  a bus using the Source Connect link plug in  and everytime  I go to add it to my  bus track Audition  crashes...  Any help?

i was working on a large session that included mp3 and wav files from many different sessions. i had been anxious to save such a large session because of lack of disk space (whether that makes sense or not unsure, happy to admit that was a stupid mistake), regardless when i would end task and then reopen audition at any later date i would always just get the pop up that "a previous session of adobe audition quit unexpectedly. you make continue the session delete it or continue ..etc" i would then restart my project right from where i left off. after the last time doing this abruptly and shutting down and restarting my computer i no longer receive the "quit unexpectedly" prompt. now i am very worried i have lost weeks of work. i have located a temp file from last night in the folder C:\Users\j\AppData\Local\Temp\Adobe\Audition\5.0 but can not figure out how to open this recovery file. please help

Hello,I have an old Behringer UB502 that I purchased years ago when I was recording with my Windows PC, and it worked wonderfully.Since moving to Apple, I purchased a USB microphone which does the job, but not great for music.Was hoping to breathe some life into the old mixing desk, but am at a loss of where to start, what to do, what cables are needed if any and any advice from anyone that could help.The software I use to mix is Adobe Audition CC.When I used the mixing desk on the Windows machine, I used Adobe Audition and was able to hear the audio from the computer via the desk, while singing into the microphone, which was marvellous.Is any of this possible for my MacBook Pro, or is a dream? 😊Thank you so much to anyone who can help.

Hi there. I am fairly new to using Adobe Audition. My audio, recorded on a fairly professional microphpone, did not originally have an echo associated with it when I was editing it in Audition. For some reason, now it has a slight echo. I must have accidentally hit a button that added this. Any feedback on how to remove would be appreciated! Any things that I can check to remove?  Thanks! 

I have a problem saving an MP3 and having the correct length after converting.For Example:I have a 57-minute WAV file when I save it at 128Kbps (Constant Bit Rate) it times out to 56:52.I am using Audition  13.05.36  however when I save it in Audition 3.0 the time is correct. (it uses the MP3PRO codex)Is there a known issue with the MP3 codex? is there a more accurate MP3 plug-in I can use???The higher the Sample Rate the closer it gets to being correct... for example, saving it at 320kbps it gets to 56:57. Thanks 

What is recommended for I/o buffer size and sample rate in hardware settings to process audio with a focusrite interface. I process audio mostly with 48000 hz 32 bit files. started having problems with V13.

 Hello all! I'm new here, but I was hoping some of you might be able to help me out. In short, I'm trying to pick apart a piece of audio from an old home movie of my dad and I singing and playing guitar when I was very young. My dad is gone now, and it's a very special video to me, and I would like to have the audio file of just him and me singing/playing guitar. In the video, my mom is recording, and my little brother is running around screeching, and basically there's just a lot of background noise I don't want. I have Adobe creative cloud and all the programs that come with that, so I was wondering if anyone on here could teach me how to pick a part this file (once converted to an audio file, of course), so I could accomplish this task. Any recommendations?

What are best settings using selected audition effects (amplitude and compression effects, filter, and EQ effects) when processing different raw ambient sounds, like birds, chirping, car engines, etc? 

I have Abobe Audition CC 2018 and I'm trying to learn how to correct pitch manually.  I'm following a youtube video ...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu2EoniPMDQ... that's based on CS6, but the interface looks the same as mine.I can set all the keyframes and adjust the pitch using the yellow line and my changes show up on my spectral pitch display in the form of the blue and green lines.   But I hear absolutely no audible difference in my audio!   Whereas in the YT example you hear it right away when he makes them.I've attached a screenshot of what I'm doing.   I've also tried closing the manual pitch correction dialog box with the "Apply" button but that had no audible effect either.Any suggestions?  Thanks in advance! 

Hi there, I'm pretty new in Audition. Have done some adjustments on my audio file but want to work with keyframes to adjust the loudness in clips. There is no line in the waveform editor for an envelope to work with keyframes. How can I activate this? This only started a couple days ago - but when I hit play during a wavform in Audition a loud peaking noise happens. It doesn't come up in the finished recording but it's more a problem with my poor ears in my headphones. Checked with audio playing out of my speakers as well and it does it too. Anyone experienced this and have any advice how to fix it?
