When I try to edit the audio recorded like a picture with Audition, the button becomes white and I can not press it
I have a 45sec piece of music and I'm trying to make it into 3min 50sec. Every time I run remix I end up with a 10sec remix. Does anyone know why that's happening?
I'm on a brand new Macbook Pro (Mojave, 2.9GHz, quad core i7, 16 gigs memory, 2133 Mhz) and using the latest Audition CC. The fade envelopes/lines in the multitrack keep disappearing. I've tried restarting the laptop. I've tried rebooting Audition multiple times. Sometimes it fixes it. Sometimes it doesn't. There have also been some other weird problems in the same session, such as icons being grayed out so you can't even change to the select toolBut the biggest problem is I literally can't see the fade lines, so I can't see what I'm doing until after I release the touchpad. Then if I try to adjust the fades, they disappear again. I've attached a video showing the problem.
When I’m recording a large ensemble is there a way to automatically mute the input monitor while playing back what is already recorded?Obviously the mics are live to my speakers or headphones and it seems too much hassle to individually disable each track before pressing play! Alternatively I’m open to suggestions for a different way of working. Thanks in advance!
I'm trying to create an omf file and whenever it gets to a sesx file it says "cannot open required file" and stops creating the omf. How do I get passed this?
Hello, running into a problem where Audition will playback an effect, but won't render it when I attempt to export it. I'm using a VST plug-in called Timefreezer. I can apply the effect and preview it perfectly fine, but I when I attempt to render the file out, I only get the original file with no effects. This happens in both a multitrack sesssion where I attempt a mixdown and a single waveform file, even after I apply the effects rack.Any ideas? Thanks!
Hey all. So I've literally just purchased and installed Audition and everytime I try to open it I just get a crash report and nothing else. Is there something screamingly obvious that I, a noob, should have done on install? I'm fairly certain my machine should run the software as its only a month old and running at a fairly decent spec - any help would be appreciated 🙂
Novice when it comes to tech, soooo need a little help. Doing some simple voice-overs and some easy multi-track production. Nothing outrageous. I'm using the Omega from Lexicon, EV RE20, Adobe 1.5 and a Dell XP. All is working. But not quite right. Settings, Device Order, Device Properties...this is where I need some assistance and more. Tracks are assigned In 1 and Out 1. I start recording a v/o on track 1, its showing up in left channel and extremely low level. I can mono it, then normalize, and after that, its actually very usable. I try and record some music on a track, and its recording on both left and right channels, but mono, AND phasing issues. What happened to stereo? Gotta be Omega? Thanks for any assistance. Suggestions?
Hi, I'm using the make noise function under effect options. I'm wanting to overlay a frequency range over the default white noise options at a higher intensity. Basically, a broad spectrum sound file that emphasizes a tighter frequency range. Any pointers? Thank you! I tagged under "noise reduction" but its kind of the opposite.
Hello everybody! I'm new to Auditon and this is also my first time posting to the community forum, so if I'm doing something wrong please bear with me 🙂 I've recently started using adobe Audition to edit a podcast. I've completed editing one episode with no issues at all, but now while on my second episode I've started getting the issue where whenever I click on the timeline to get my playhead to move to that position, it takes a few seconds for it to move. The longer I have the program open and the more edits i've made, the worse the problem seems to get. I have enough disk space available for the program to be used (still +- 30gb of free space), and my memory usage is also only around 50-60%, so the issue doesn't seem to be in that. I'm editing 9 voicetracks of +- 1.5h hours in length simultaneously; this is quite a lot, so i wouldn't be suprised for the program to start getting laggy, but it didn't have any problems the first time round. The only thing that's
Hi all,I recently changed my computer and moved to Apple, and I am happy that Audition is the same on both systems One thing bothers me, though. On Windows, when I had a dialog box, like "Do you want to save changes ?", I could use the arrow keys to click on the "Yes" or "No" buttons faster, and it worked very well. But when I do that on Mac, the arrow keys work, but they only move a blue highlight from "Yes" to "No". It seems that the "Yes" option is still kind of highlighted in white, and when I press Enter, it always make "Yes" even if the blue one is on "No".I did not find any setting about that, and because I am manipulating lots of audio files it bothers me a lot.Can anyone help ? Is it a problem on the Mac OS version of Audition ?Thank you
Hello everybody,I want to create a podcast, but when I open "New multitrack session", there is no template "Podcast" in the box, only "None". I use the latest version of Audition 13.05.36. Can you help me ?Thanks for you responses.Damien
I've looked through a few posts here but nothing seems to be working (but if I missed something please let me know!) I'm just getting set up on Audition and I'm routing my mic (some kinda cheap Samson I'm borrowing) and my guitar amp through a little Behringer XENYX302USB mixer to Audition. It records & plays back fine in waveform, but when I try to record in multitrack nothing happens. I've checked that my audio inputs are from the USB source and that my audio channel mapping is as well (although I might be mapping it wrong). Any thoughts/ideas? Been banging my head against the wall for a while now.
Hi,I have a challenge for all of you. I was watching this video (https://youtu.be/8jt5U9AFINY?t=4576), which is a reaper tutorial featuring an established podcast producer. In it, he briefly shows off how he creates a feedback loop that he uses as part of his sound design for his show.I use audition and I tried to see if I could recreate it, and long story short, I cannot. I tried sending my track to a bus with reverb and thats about as far as i got. As far as i can tell, Audition wont let you send tracks back into each other like he does in the reaper video. Also I couldnt even figure out how to control the vocals so that they only go into the loop at the end. I tried every envelope, no good. SO! I would really appreciate it if anyone had any suggestions on how to create this kind of feedback. I've really hit a wall here. Thank you!!!!
Hello, Just installed my original copy of Audition 3.0 to a new laptop and it wont activate on line and the telephone numbers dont work. Can anyone let me know what i should do? Does my copy of Audition no longer work? This is probably something obvious but im at a loss. Any help will be gratefully received. Cheers, Rich.
I have been facing this bubbly sound while recording and play back. Appreciate if any one can help me for same.
I am recording an audiobook, and following the advice to "save, save, save," I am backing up my projects in three places, including a removable hard disk, Creative Cloud, and iCloud. The program lets me browse for the save location, confirms the choice, and then -- before saving -- asks "One or more media files used by this Multitrack Session are located outside of the Session folder. Would you like to copy these files to the Session folder?" Being over-cautious, I have been saying yes.... and I am beginning to suspect that is a mistake, over overkill. The save is taking longer and longer, and the program gets stuck on 99%, so I have to force quit. I notice each time the Files folder is getting bigger and bigger, with a lot of .wav files showing up as multiple copies of themselves in each sessions "imported files" folder (e.g. "characterC-sample Copy(8) Copy Copy Copy Copy Copy Copy.wav").Can I just say "no" when it asks "One or more media files used by this Mult
I'm in the swamp of sadness here. I'm about 5 episodes deep into producing my new podcast; learning Adobe Audition as I go. Unfortunately, I have run out of space on my laptop. I think what I may have done is related to "One or more media files used by this Multitrack Session are located outside of the Session folder"...I kept saying yes. Is there any way to clean up this mess and what are best practices moving forward? Thanks!
Hello! I'm just switching over from Wavepad to Adobe Audition for voiceover. I am pretty lost with a lot of this software in general. I need to change the pitch of my voice in multiple parts since what I'm recording has multiple characters. Is there a way to bulk select parts of the recording and change the pitch only for those parts? Example: I only want Character A to speak in a deeper voice. Can I select all Character A's lines and lower the pitch for ALL of her lines at one time? Or can you only make one selection of a part to lower at a time? I know you can apply it to the whole recording, but I don't want Character B to be lowered. Also, I haven't figured out how to record anything using Multitrack. I can open up past audio files in there and they play, but the quality lowers. I have pressed the "R" button and red record button, but nothing happens. Any tips would be helpful! Thank you!
So I just downloaded audition and was wanting to try it out finally because I've used Audacity for a long time. I'm more than capable with computers but i still dont know whats wrong. I have gone through multiple forums and videos for about an hour and nothing is working. -I have the audio preferences in Audition set to my microphone I want (an audio interface that an xlr mic is plugged into) that audio source is in fact set to my main audio source as well in windows sound control panel-I have my headset im using also set in Audition and windows control panel to be used-both i have set to 98000Hz which is the same in windows control panel and Audition-In my project I have the track set to be input my mic that is above and my headset it the out.- the tab on the side does not peak or move and i can not click on the i above it to hear anything.- when i switch both to the mic in my headset instead my xlr, again nothing works so it seems no matter what mic i use nothing comes out

Hi...brand new to the online Audition experience - have been using the program for yearsandyearsandyears. I'm having two major issues - maybe related, maybe not. BTW, this is a brand new computer, too, which is why I opted to move to the online version of Audition. I have the current driver for the M-Track installed and the computer tests for mic and speakers works.1. Won't record. Cursor doesn't move - error message says "Device sample rates do not match. Please check the audio hardware preferences." I've poked around the forum and in Audition and am not sure where to look for "audio hardware setup" as I'm not finding those words anywere. In the waveform view I've gone to Edit >Preferences>Audio Hardware. Am I looking in the wrong place? I can find the M-Track there and have selected it - I see nowhere to look for driver selection or the "release Asio driver in the background" checkbox. 2. The program is exceptionally unstable. So far, in the space of half an hour, I've had
Using Audition to send audio tracks to Character Animator. Trying to set up easy UI or embed audition for recording on my website. Recording will be saved through my website.
Hello--All of a sudden five days ago, I began having terrible glitches and dropouts with my audio. I am using Windows 10 and and Audient ID 14 interface. This mornng (4/22) everything was working fine. But tonight when I was recording, I am hearing bad glitches again. I have called support, they have adjusted my settings in both my audio hardware and audio recording files. Both are at 44.1/16, as are my playback settings. I can't understand why this suddenly happened? Any help would be more than appreciated.
Welcome everyone to this forum. How to synchronize a sound file - which I created in Adobe Audition - with a video file - so that there is full synchronization - the specific thing is that the original soundtrack has pauses. However, in a sound file created from text - a speech synthesizer - by creating a sound file - it does not create gaps - as it does in the original soundtrack. With kind regards Luke
