Hi, I am a medical professional and I am recording audio to create youtube educational videos. I am recording in a large room with a lot of hard surfaces which I have reduced as much as I can. I still have a fair bit of room echo in the recording. I have seen mentioned in some youtube videos discussing noise reduction that the spectral decay settings in the advanced tab can be used to reduce room echo/reverb however, I am unsure as to how they work. I have trialled different settings but I'm still unsure as to which settings are best to use. My questions are:1. How does the spectral decay function act to reduce reverb?2. Are there default settings that are likely to work well for the scenario I have described of a large room with a lot of hard surfaces and that could give me a starting point?
I've done this a million times and now forgot how. I've added markers to a file and want to export tracks as separate files. Just can't remember how to make ranges. Please help. Thanks.
Hi AllI am trying to record my audio (from my microphone) and my desktop audio for a podcast in a multitrack session. The desktop audio is going through my default output device so essentially all I need to do is record the audio from my output device but I can't find a single tutorial explaining this or whether this is even possible. If I am correct this would allow me to record Skype, Discord, Spotify, or any sound that I play through my default output device.I do not have an audio mixer.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Zach
I'm a little stuck right now. Adobe Audition is recognizing my MBox, but I can't get any audio into the program. When I click on the "Arm for Record" button, there's no feed coming in. What could I be missing to get a signal in? I've double-checked settings and everything seems to be correct, but no signal to even set levels with. Thanks,Dean
Is it possible, after a volume keyframe has been set, to adjust it accurately by typing in a number somewhere? If the vertical size of the track is small, the volume increments are quite large. i.e. I can't set it to, say, -3.5 dB exactly. The only way to do it is to enlarge the track, which is cumbersome. In Premiere, the same problem exists, but Premiere offers a numerical method as well, so that I can set an audio keyframe at an exact level. Thanks for any suggestions.
Hi,I need to create a CEP panel that will help to trigger a save for the recorded file in a format supplied by the CEP panel. Below is the reason to creating this panelWe have a common desk where voice-overs are being recorded. Now when someone records and exports/saveAs, it normally saves in the last audio format that was used. Which is fairly good, and saves the users some hassle. Now the problem arises when someone changes this format, it keeps on remembering the new last format and not the default format we need the users to save in. So is there anyway within Adobe Audition that will always save in the default format regardless of what the previous user selected (audio format). We tried looking for within Audition but couldn’t find an answer to this and then also looked at some scripting aspect of it to do some Extension (CEP) for this purpose which forces the user to save in the proper format. Is there any documents that can help explain to access the save functionality from CEP w
I am a professional photographer and an Adobe CC subscriber. I want to take existing music on CDs, save the tracks to my hard drive (preferably retain the track name and data) and then mix the tracks with either still or movies.I used Audition a million years ago when it was Cool Edit Pro and briefly after it was purchased by Adobe in different projects. Audition is the first tool I thought of when considering this new project using existing music I have on a large collection of CDs.Is this the correct tool for this project. Remember, I have not used Audition in a million years. 🙂Can Audition save audio from clips found on the internet. Can Audition save tracks or full CDs that are either MP3 or MP4.If Audition can save tracks or full CDs can it retain the title and artist information.I am sure audition is the best tool for doing the mixing. But is it the tool for getting the audio off the CD to the hard disk. I have not found anything that shows how to do this in any of the hel
Hello,I have been using Adobe Audition CC on my laptop for years. Is there an Adobe Audition app for Android devices? I am asking this because I am thinking of getting myself a tablet.
I have many audio files, that need to adjust amplitude. Please see before image. I need to decrease some parts are over than -6 db to -6 db. But some parts aren't over -6 db, don't need to change. Is there a way to do this fast?Thank you
I'm trying to get an effect on my voice similar to this character from Warfrme, called Ordis. I included a link to collection of his voice lines. I'm MAINLY after the effects of his standard talking, as well as the static hitches, but the bass distortions and other modifications would be nice to know as well. Does anyone know what sort of effects I'd need to layer and adjust to get these effects? Thanks in advance!Warframe: Ordis Quotes 2 - YouTube
Hi,I know this is an old AA version but it does what I need it to so haven't bothered to buy a newer version.Actually used the original programs before Adobe bought it.,I have a zoom 16 interface which I use via USB with the latest correct drivers and most times it is fine and it all works.Every now and then, when I start AA or open a new file, I get a panel saying there has been a change and then the ASA4ALL driver automatically inserts itself. It takes forever to get the Zoom driver back so I can record again.I use the zoom driver with ASA not MME and when it works it is great. How can I stop it automatically bringing in the ASA4ALL driver please?Thanksoz
I seldom use Audition, so this might be an easy fix. I'm trying to make a mono lav track stereo...and I know how to do that. BUT..when I run the track the Waveform window all is as expected. When I look at it in the Waveform window, i see the track and when I play it I see the input meter moving but no output. I've clicked the mute/unmute button as that is the extent of my knowledge. Any ideas?
I need to add the same intro and outro to several episodes of a podcast (around 200 mp3s). Do you know any way to batch process this? Just open each file, add the intro, add the outro and save it.Thanks.
Greetings all,One of my sessions won't bounce ("multitrack mixdown"); I always get "severe error code 0000000B".Other sessions work fine; it seems to just be this one.I've tried mixing down both the whole thing and a time selection. (I'll put a list of other things I've tried below, along with my computer deets.)I've looked around and see that others have gotten this error too, but not, that I can see, while bouncing; and whatever it was was apparently fixed in an update.Any ideas would be welcomethanks!Squidocto---I've tried:-saving the whole session as; both in the same location and on a separate hard drive-changing the session file name-deleting the backup files-checked the permissions for all files in the session folder-unchecking every box in the "essential sound" dialogue-tried various configurations of formatting in the multitrack mixdown dialogue (audio formats, bitrates, etc)iMac (27-inch, Late 2013); OS 10.14.53.5 GHz Intel Core i7; 24 GB 1600 MHz DDR3Zoom Tac-2R
Hi everyone. So I recorded something with Audacity, now I want to export this wav. to a 16-bit mp3 audio file, however it shows it's 32-bit (float)...Why is that and how can I actually create an mp3-file that's 16-bit?https://imgur.com/a/fDbuU7GP.S. It's for a short voice over narration (never done this professionaly before) and now my client tells me they want me to send them an mp3 audio file with the following specs: 16-bit, 44.1 KHz, 128 Kbit/s.
Hi - I'm literally trying to record my first ever Podcast - I have two questions1) Ive used Skype to conduct the interview and recorded in Callnote - when played back it sounds OKProblemWhen I import into Audition it sounds awful and full of echo QuestionWhy does it do this - what do I do to fix?2) When doing an interview for a podcast - there will be two 'talking tracks' me and the interviewee and the interview will be conducted through Skype. Question:Can my side of the interview be recorded direct by Audion, or is it both sides though Skype/Callnote?A million thank yous for anyone one who can help hereNathan
any idea why i would be experiencing a slight delay when switching from multitrack view to waveform view and vice versce? i feel like this has just started happening out of nowhere. is there any kind of way to make audition pretty much have priorities over the cpu on the computer?..
Hey everyone, I'm a filmmaker who edits in Premiere and does all my sound editing and sound design in Audition. I'm about to send my most recent project to our sound mixer who works in Avid's ProTools, as I've done many times before, but I'm getting a warning message from Audition after the OMF is complete that I've never seen before. It says:Clip duration is longer than source. This OMF might not be compatible with Avid products. And, as you can imagine, my mixer has not been able to open the OMF in ProTools. Does anyone know what this error message means? For additional detail-- I have tried both Encapsulated and Referenced OMFs, and have had the same result each time. I've speculated that the "clip duration is longer than source" is referring to a stretched clip. But, I didn't do anything like that in my session as far as I know. So, if anyone has tips on how to search for clips that may have been inadvertently stretched, please let me know. Also, if anyone has any insight on OMF comp
LG
Cant seem to figure it out or find it on the forums. Thanks
The Vietnam War (2017) (TV Mini-Series), has a fantastic music that goes into the background of narration and it's hard to hear, it's really shame not to put it in subtitle files for episodes which I make, and the narrative, not the other audio is the bundle. So, my question is how to eliminate narration and get just music in Adobe Audition 3.0? Thank you
Hi there,After seeing the demo of the new #VoCo project, I'm quite interested in becoming a beta tester. I'm a Creative Cloud user, and I do freelance editing, mixing, composing and sound design work for major market public radio and podcast companies (New York Times, Gimlet, WNYC Studios). The VoCo tool looks like it could be a game-changer in the world of dialog editing, and I'm intrigued to learn more ASAP!Many thanks,David Herman
Is there a way to "trigger" Audition to record only when audio is detected then stop recording when audio stops with automatic rearming? Almost every other recording software (Audacity, Sound Forge) has this feature. It is something that I really need to have.
Which is it best way to remove boompole bumps from the recording?I have those dialogues recorded with a boompole for a documentary, and sometimes there are fast bumps, really very low frequencies.I did various attempts with the "spot healing brush tool" to paint that frequencies but it didn't worked. I mean it works only if the bumps are the the middle of the dialogues (in the pause), but if the bumps are under the dialogue the brush don't works. I tried to change the size of the brush or to zoom into the waweform. "nothing", many hours of attempts, I mean sometimes it works but it's very rare (so I still used to try) but I have to be very lucky).do you have a better suggestion please?thx
Is there a way to have audition start recording when it first detects a sound(i.e. when I play the first note of a song)?
