I'm trying to edit the audio from my Sony PXW-Z150. It's 4k video with 4 channels of audio in a .mxf file. It opens just fine in Premiere, but when I try to open the file in Audition there is simply no audio. The tracks are all there, but no audio is present. I have searched forums and found 1 post from 3 years ago dealing with this exact issue, but it was supposedly resolved with an Audition update at that time. I have tried copying the file and placing it in a new sequence but when I export to Audition, the same thing happens. Any help would be very appreciated.[mod note: the identical question you asked in the old thread has been removed to save multiple replies and potential confusion. One instance of any question is sufficient!]
I've researched extensively about this and still cannot get my Windows 10 PC to recognize two separate channel inputs. It works on my MacBook Pro.I have a Behringer stereo mixer with two microphones plugged into it. One mic is panned left, one is panned right. No matter how I configure Audition, it will only record the left-panned mic, albeit on BOTH tracks. The second mic doesn't pick up anything. Both tracks are set up correctly. How do I fix this?
Thank you all very much for your suggestions and replies. This compiling of three ADAT tapes synced into one session worked the very best doing it with my ears. These (synced) sessions have 30/35 minutes of 24 track audio of a musical recording. That's ok. To make things simpler into the total process I wanted to make separated sessions for each individual song from these longer lasting tapes. Export a mixdown isn't the solution since it looses the original 24 track sources. To keep things simple and also keep the original sources original, so it would be nice to export the selection together with the original 24 tracks of that selection. I tried a few possibilities but... lost the original tracks of that time selection. Does anybody know the solution for this??? Again thank you for reading this and hope for the right answer. Regards, René
Hello all,Please Teach me how to find one paragraph repeated several times in the song with Audition?Thank so much
why does my spacebar shortcut randomly stop working sometimes? seems like ive had this issue for a very very long time and cant figure out why. i cant pinpoint exactly when it does it. when it started happening just recently i restarted the program, and it worked for about 2mins and then stopped again. any help?
I just recorded my first interview in Audition and thought everything went great until I went back to review and edit later and discovered that I somehow recorded over the second half of the interview by restarting a new recording over the existing recording. The first 7:38 is there just fine, but at that point a new recording of random studio noise starts. I must have somehow hit the record button later and made it start at the 7:38 point, essentially recording over the last half of my interview. Is there any way to disable recording over an existing recording? So that I can't make this mistake again? I honestly have no idea how I moved the playhead to the 7:38 mark (maybe I was reviewing the track?) and then started recording over it. I remember clicking off the "R" (Arm for Record) button on each track, but I must have somehow actually started a new recording rather than disabling new recordings. Is there any chance my original recording is saved anywhere or does recording over it co
Dears,I have never purchased this version before. But I would like to use it and how can I get this authorization of this Audition3.0.Because this version is just for customers who have legally purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 from offical list as " Adobe strongly advises against running unsupported and outdated software. Only customers who have legally purchased CS2 or Acrobat 7 and need to maintain their current use of these products can use the serial numbers provided during download."If I need to use this version. How can I do? If I download from official website directly and use it? Is it legal? How to be legal to use?Thank you very much.
Hi.I'm working on a film, editing in Premiere Pro.One scene has problematic audio and we'll need to re-record some voice and pretty much rebuild the audio track for that scene in Adobe Audition.I exported the scene as an MP4 for work in Adobe Audition.I exported it with audio, since the audio track does contain some sounds and voice that I would want to use as a reference track for syncing. When importing the MP4 in Audition and playing it in the Audition timeline, the video and audio are not in sync. Seems like the video is lagging behind the audio by a fraction of a second. When playing the exported MP4 in VLC Media Player — it's totally fine, so this leads me to believe that this is an Audition issue rather than a Premiere issue.Does anyone have any ideas why this might be happening?Audition CC 2018 v.11.1.1.3Windows 10i7-6700HQ32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 RAMFocusrite Scarlett 2i2 Audio InterfaceThanks!
Hi. My audio was around -17 dB (one track). I ran it through Match Loudness (target -16, tolerance 1, max true peak -2). Now my audio is -11 perceived loudness. Why? Match Loudness always feels wonky to me. I guess I have to manually lower my audio? Also, if if I adjust volume in multitrack, I don't see those changes reflected in Amplitude Statistics. I'm also trying to monitor with the Loudness Radar, but that seems off to me, too. When I raise the volume, I've seen the opposite reflected in Loudness Radar. I'd love some tips on how to accurately monitor my audio.
I'm a podcaster, and I've been using Audition to record and edit my podcast for years now. I've never had this issue before. I recorded an episode a week ago and I've been trying to edit it for awhile now. Every few minutes that I'm working on it, the whole application hangs. If I click on anything it grays out and says it's not responding in the app title bar. If I wait it out, it eventually comes back, and I'm able to edit for a few more minutes, and then it will do it again. I have over an hour of podcast to edit and this constant hanging of the application is seriously eating into my time and nerves. I've rebooted, saved a backup of the session files, cleaned off my data and cache space to give the application plenty of room, and checked to make sure everything is up to date. I even reinstalled the previous version of Audition and tried using it. I don't know if I've done something to corrupt the session file, but I'm 18 minutes into my editing (which has taken me a couple hours or

Hi all, sorry if this was posted about already, but I cannot find anything regarding recording and saving a sound remover process as a favorite for later use during a batch process. Each time I go through recording a sound remover process, I get a prompt stating that "A new favorite could not be created because no supported actions were recorded." This does not occur when recording a noise reduction process, so I am curious as to why I wouldn't be able to make a preset for sound remover.
Hi,I'm just coming back from the recording of an interview and I discovered a problem on my sound track. All the file long, I've got some sorts of holes every 10 or 15 seconds. They are very short, around 40ms, but it's audible.I've tried to fix that with the spot healing brush but that don't really smooth the signal or plug the holes.I don't know how to fix it, but I've got the exactly same record with an other microphone (in a lower quality but without the holes problem). I hope that, maybe, there is a solution to repair a signal, bases on a similar other one... ?Thank you
Hey so I have two audio clips. One is from a video with background music added in later that I can't seem to remove and the other is said background music. Is there any way to use the background music as a guide for the program to remove the same music from the video's audio? Thanks so much
Just upgraded our work machine and it's Windows 10. We downloaded the latest version of CC and Adobe Audition. Now whenever we record a track the clip background while recording is BRIGHT Red. This is annoying. Is there anyway to change this? I like the way it was in previous versions, where the background color was dark or neutral and just the waves where red.
Dear readers,Within my company we create e-learning. With this e-learning we record our own voice overs. We have a proper soundbooth. Now I've found out that my workflow is pretty time consuming. And since I'm not a professional sound engineer It might be possible to improve my workflow. If you read this and have any suggestions or ideas please be so kind to advice me on this. My workflow is somewhat like this:We start with a proper script for the voice overIn the studio we record the voice over. With a template document (in multitrack mode) with proper set of effects in the effect rack with noise gates etc. After recording i have to split my recording in a LOT of seperate files. And here's my issue.I go through all of the recordings and mark the right best with range markers. This is incredible timeconsuming I can be busy for appr. 4-6 hours work on audio for 8-10 minutes clean audio and placing and naming the markers correctly. This can be up to appr. 40-60 rangemarkers. After being don
I need to synchronise one audio track with variable playback according to another audio, which is perfectly fitting video file. The problem is that in one audio file playback was changed to acceleration and deceleration randomly, withing 5% of original time playback of each part. It's almost not noticeable, but when add an audio to video file, it becomes unreal to see this garbage. I have another audio file, that fits to the video perfectly. So, the question is, how can I adjust and restore the synchronisation of my audio track to video, using the one with perfect synchronisation? How I see that, but don't know if that functionality presents in Audition:1. I put 2 tracks into Multitrack mode2. Using some markers I check the points or visible audio peaks that both tracks have3. These peaks are the same for both tracks, but not synchronised. I check these audio matching points in both files.4. Using some functionality, Audition changes one file by stretching and compressing fragments of au
OK, here is the scenario:I record audiobooks for audible in a small home studio, so, files have to be saved and uploaded to them with very specific parameters, basically they are:==========================.MP3CBR16 bit-depth192khz bit-ratemono==========================I record in .wav 44.1 16bit....==========================So, I record in WAV and save to MP3 in the parameters stated above, the PROBLEM is when I re-open the saved mp3 file the bit depth always changes to 32-bit !!Does anyone know why this is happening or even better, how to fix it?
I am running Audition CC 12.1.0.182 on a brand new MacBook Pro running OS 10.14.4 with 8GB RAM and 500GB flash storage.I use Audition to denoise audio files, and it has been working swimmingly until today. Now, almost every time I STOP playback, the program freezes and tries to use over 60GB of application memory. It is fine loading noise prints, denoising files, saving, opening, and even playing. It is only when I stop playing that the RAM goes crazy. I restarted my computer and it worked for a few files, then started acting up again. The files in question, by the way, are only about 50MB for WAV files or 300MB for MOV files. (I start with the MOV files and save as a WAV after denoising. It has not mattered whether I am using the MOV file or the WAV file, it's freezing either way.)I have two screenshots attached, from two different files, one with just the Force Quit window, and one with the Activity Monitor. What I found is that the program is running fine, less than 1GB of memory gen
Some time back, I downloaded a couple of trials of the latest and prior latest additions of Audition in the event I might need something more robust than my standard audio editor of choice, Audacity. I had used Audition in the past from a friend's computer, so I knew it had better capabilities than Audacity for several things, plus I have issues with frequent crashes/ freezing with Audacity. Anyway, being limited to a 7 day trial, I hope to be able to finish up a job I started yesterday in short order. Please note, and this is important, that I want to apply the following edits to a one hour audio file recorded off of a public radio broadcast. It is a one shot recording... nothing can be rerecorded in any capacity, but there are some very specific edits that I need to be able to do that I believe is beyond Audacity. Here is what I need to do:1) The background hiss varies throughout the file since the radio carrier wave became stronger and also faded
Has anyone experienced problems with showing all markers in all files?Prior to the update I was able to create CD Track markers in individual files and when I create a new CD Layout with "show markers of all files" selected in the markers panel, I could drag and drop the tracks from multiple files into the CD layout and then burn a new CD.Now once I create a new CD layout the markers disappear for all of the audio files and they are not visible when the CD layout is selected in the Files panel. In order to see the marker list I have to toggle the show markers of all files off. I learned that I can select all tracks for each file independently and insert into CD layout or Multitrack session but this has been quite unreliable.I have reset the preferences. And looked through the all the preferences for any reference to markers and came up with nothing. Any help would be appreciated. I really do not want to go back a version because I like to stay current with my updates but it is looking
So whenever I export my mono tracks from Audition using the "export to Premiere" feature in Adobe Audition. The tracks are exported as stems to Premiere, but some of the stems are in stereo while others are in Mono. This drastically changes the levels I set in Audition whenever I export to Premiere. There seems to be no discernable pattern to it. I am using Premiere and Audition 2018 btw.
Hello everyone! I'm working on my documentary and finished the video editing process. Now I need to smooth out dialogues and music in Audition. My Premiere Pro project is divided in folders. Each folder has a sub-folder for it's corresponding audio. When I open the premiere project in audition, it's shows me those exact folders but they're all empty apart from one. One of the sequences I can select is the entire project and selecting it opens a single audio file so I cannot edit the tracks individually. It seems as if I did something wrong with the folders. What did I mess up in my project?? Thank you all in advance
I am working with a 3 minute video and about halfway through the mic started buzzing. No problem I thought, I went through my audio editing progression and used the noise reduction process to get rid of the buzzing. And it worked. But, the buzzing still persists when the voice peaks. I can't seem to get rid of it even by isolating frequencies, and I can't find any information on how to do it online. Here is the .wav file, you'll start to hear the buzzing around 15 seconds in. I haven't done multi-track recording for a while. Been working mostly in Premiere as DP/Editor and using Audition for fix-up.I am recording my band tonight and yesterday purchased Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 USB Audio Interface. I installed the drivers. I configured ASIO and made sure I assigned and armed the tracks in Adobe. (I using Asus VivoBook PRO 15.6" 4K UHD Touchscreen Business/Gaming Laptop, Intel Quad-Core i7-7700HQ 16GB DDR4 256GB SSD+2TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 USB Type-C Win 10) I received intermittent results.1. The meters would not show input even though I could hear myself in the mic from the Interface.2. Upon re-boot and Windows diagnostic, I would get a wave form start recording, but then it would stop displaying during that recording session.3. Restarting the project (even after ensuring the tracks were armed and assigned). Again, I would not see a waveform record.4. Sometimes one track would record, but when I armed another tack the same way, I got no input.T
