Audition

As I've mentioned before in these forums, I love how Audition's markers work: easy to use, portable, useful.Since these markers seem to be saved to and read from the WAV file itself, does anyone know or have experince with any iOS apps that can create markers that are readable by Audition?Please note that I am NOT asking for an Audition app for iOS, nor am I asking for an iOS app whose session files can be opened in Audition, etc. I'm just asking if there is an iOS app that can create and save markers into WAV files that Audition could then recognize. I need to load apx 18 hours of audio but it only takes just over 4:30:00 of it.  How can I load the entire file?

If I go to say add an exisiting track, or make a new track in audition... then want to hear it as I am adding a second track. The first track picks up in the second tracks recording. I cannot figure out how to make this stop. I have recorded this way a million times with audition in the past and never had this issue,

My laptop was stolen and everything's gone. Had Audition 3.0 for years - loved it - and am now using a laptop with Audition CC 2015, build 8.0.0.192 (I incorrectly called it 5.5. Sorry, new to me).Well. What a train wreck. Everything's different, and the manual is, as usual for Adobe, unhelpful. Couldn't find what I need on forums, either.1. The toolbar where I put my most-used favorite filters seems totally gone, and I see no way to add ANYTHING to that area. That just kills my productivity; I'm left with pulling EQ, Normalize, etc. from the drop-down EACH TIME. That's progress?2. I can't just click over to Multitrack or back to Waveform (why is it no longer called the more-correct Edit?) without it wanting me to create a new session! I don't WANT to make new sessions-- I want to go back and forth at will! I often want to test stuff or do quick temp things. I can't even GO TO the Multitrack to open an existing session without having to make a new one! WTF? This is profoundly stupid.3.

I have both 3.0 and CC installed on my laptop, running windows 10.. I have my sound going through an alesis USB mixer... Everytime I try to record a second track, it keeps picking up the first as well in the back. I have used audition many times this same way on old computers and never had an issue.

Hi all,I can't seem to open Audition. It crashes in a few seconds after I try to start it.I have not yet been able to open Audition at all since I installed Adobe.It always happens when it says 'Initializing (AuBackend)', but Googling it didn't make me any wiser.What I tried to get past the crash- Tried running the program with my soundcard turned on, off, enabled, disabled, disconnected, connected to different USB port. No difference whatsoever, the program always crashes.- Holding down shift when starting the program. No result.- Deleting the preference folder located in AppData\Roaming folder. No result.- Creating a "Audition Log.txt" file. Audition doesn't write to it.- Reinstall Audition. No result.- Installing older version (Audition CC). Crashes on starting up as well. (on: "Initializing Required Application Components... When I try to merge clips together sometimes they stay in their original form. Which is what I want. But other times, it smashes the sound and it's no longer in it's original form. It seems completely random. I can't figure out what I do when it works and when it doesn't work. I can't spend hours editing the audio just to have it ruined when I try to merge clips, so I try and try and try until it works. But it's extremely frustrating and time consuming, and still seems random.

Hey all, My Audition was recording fine just a few days ago and I’ve set up today and created a new file in waveform - pressed record and nothing. It doesn’t give me an error - it's just not receiving input apparently. Audio chain seems ok (mic to audio interface (Scarlett 8i6) receiving signals as normal, audio interface to Audition maybe not normal?). I haven't changed audio hardware or channel mapping. Just no signal/waveform/input. I can pull up previous audio and listen/edit as normal - just can't record.If I change audio hardware to built-in input and output on my 2009 macbook pro then AU receives input and records normally.Based on this, I'm thinking either the USB port (although it doesn't record through either of the two USB ports on the Mac so seems unlikely that both would be bad), or perhaps the USB cable from audio interface is bad - but that too seems unlikely because it is a high quality cable and is in a fixed location so it's not subject to bending etc.Cables and audio

i made a template with all channels and buses set for audio post production. And the video editor uses the same track structure in premiere.the video editor exports his project to Audition and now I want to import that project into my template with all the routing and send and insert effects for my system.for now I only see the option to just open his project but no way to load it into my template or "merge" the two projects so I can easily apply my routings I was hoping that "open append" would help but that seems to work for audio files only.anybody an idea?

Hi, I have paid and downloaded Audition, but I go to 'run' it on my computer and it won't begin its installation process. I have a windows laptop - is there something else I need to do? Bethan

In editing screen the wav forms Left and right are stackedI need to see both at same time.  My old machine shows both left and right

I keep having the strangest problem, that comes and goes, but when it comes it stays until I erase the program and re-install it.When I try to normalize an audio track, either through the Normalize pulldown menu option, or as a quick 'favorite' (normalize to -3 or -.1), it ends up erasing the entire audio track.  Is there a single Adobe product that hasn't been screwed up by updates recently? This is getting increasingly frustrating (especially as my subscription cost is about to escalate greatly). Between Prelude, Media Encoder and this...you're adding a lot of wasted time to my work day

If im in multitrack view is it possible to add effects to one word without going into waveform view and destructively editing the .wav? The only way i can see so far is to cut out the word and put it on another track and send it to a bus, or add am effect to that track. Any ideas?

Hi all, My Audition was recording fine two days ago and I’ve set up today and created a new file in waveform - pressed record and then nothing! It doesn’t say “cannot record” or anything like that - the record button has a blue ring around it but there is no input, no waveform, no timer - just blank.I’ve checked my hardware selections and they haven’t changed - it’s linked to a Metric Halo ULN2 ... I can’t see what else is the problem ...Anybody have any ideas?  Advice greatly appreciated, I have to record a voiceover tonight!!!!Thanks in advance 🙂Faye

how to fix out of sync audio and video Adobe Audition CC 2018

Hello community!I'm sure this must have an easy answer that I am missing, but is there a way in Multitrack editor to control to which track a clip gets pasted to after I've copied it? I mostly want clips to be pasted to the same track they were on, but all my clips seemed to end up on the 4th or 5th track down when I paste them. Is there an easy way to control this?any help appreciated!Kevin

How can i match the pitch of the singer's vocals with the other instrumental track with a click of a button or other ways in audition or premiere pro ? I recall this being possible 15 years ago in some basic music software. Thank you.

The slowest burn speed option I see is 16x and my car CD player doesn't like that speed. I'm fairly sure that I have burned at 8x in the past but now I see 16x and faster. I've tried several different CD brands but still no luck.Any suggestions?Thanks

Hi all,I am editing an audio track and the speaker is very breathy in his pronunciation. They are not plosives per se (and they definitely don't look like plosives on the Spectral Display), but they do stand out and sound similar to plosives.The syllables include words starting with "h" (heh-ven instead of heaven) or "ah" (ah-tention instead of attention). I've been messing around in Spectral Display with the Healing Tool and trying to playing around with the Multiband Compressor, but nothing seems to be working. I've tried simply deleting the beginning of the words, but then they sound clipped. And when I "heal" the lower frequencies, it takes out the low frequencies of the speaker's voice, leaving the words sounding hollow. Any tips? Thanks.

HiI need to reduce hiss from an audio clip about 20 seconds (all dialogue). I have applied the adaptive noise reduction effect and this works perfectly for most of the clip, except the first 2 or so seconds.I have read that it needs a short time to 'analysis' the file, but anyone got any ideas how I can get it to work on the entire clip?Thanks

Adobe Audition nad Windows 10, both up to date.The audition browser only displays HDDs that are within the PC.  It does not display network drives that appear in windows explorer displays.  I can open a network file in Audition from the open dialog, but I can't do it with the media browser.  Searching the Internet, it appears that others have the same problem, but no one seems to have a fix that works. Thank you in advance for your help.

Hey there!So...I've got an issue.I want to pan some of my audio left/right, but the "pan" knob is missing. I looked up how to fix that and managed to fix it by setting the output to 'Stereo'. Unfortunately if I want to keep it panned to the left/right AND THEN export it with a mixdown of the session - it's not possible! Why? Because then I have to select the outputs for all tracks as "Master" which instantly gets rid of the panning option. Is there a way to fix this so that I could mixdown the WHOLE session WITH the panning settings that I wish to maintain?

I, recently, had to re-install Premiere Pro 2017 after upgrading to CC2018.Now, after sending audio to Audition 2018 for mixing (from Premiere cc 2018), then using "Export to Adobe Premiere", and clicking checkbox "Open in Premiere Pro", it opens Premiere pro 2017 instead of 2018.Is there a setting in one, or both, of the programs to fix this (without digging into my computer registry)?I'm on Windows 10 pro, latest version.Thanks in advance.Wally
