Hello!! So I've been experiencing this problem since I first started using Audition, but I guess I never paid too much attention to it...Happens that the volume of my Audition is waaayyy too low, like I put my speakers to 100% and I still can barely hear the audio, when other programs (ex.: Windows Media Player) have just the right amount of volume -actually 100% is a lot of volume for those apps. I also plug the PC to my Home Theater and still the same situation. It even happens when I plug in my USB microphone that allows me to listen to everything directly using a headphones jack built-in.I checked the "Volume Mixer" in Windows and the program has full volume, so I know the problem is not there. And I also know that my tracks have the right volume gain because when I export them to a MP3 file (per example) and I play them on any player, it sounds well, without that lack of volume.Any suggestions on what could possibly be happening? I hope I can fix this soon so I can enjoy my tracks
We are getting these 2 errors (see screenshots). Need HELP! We are trying to 'Capture Noise Print'. We cleared Cache. We have the cache going to an external Harddrive so not sure if memory is an issue. See Screenshot of our mac version as well. Thanks!
Hi AllI'm trying to get to grips with the parametric equalizer in Audition 3.0.Obviously there is no standard setting for all voices, but can someone kindly post a screenshot / settings that I can start with? Ideally I want to have a high and low pass, boost the bass slightly and the upper frequencies to make the voice sound warm. I'm also trying to reduce the sibilance / sharp SSSS's.Can anyone assist? Thank you in advance.
I want to be able to save my multi track with any stretched clip changed to Rendered instead of for playback. Is there a way?
I cannot find it. Where is it?

Adobe Audition updated last night and now every time I load it, windows crashes and restarts. I'm on Windows 10 Home, 64 bit, 8GB RAM. Has anyone else been experiencing any issues?I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. The same thing is happening.
I'm wondering if there's some kind of feature in Audition or a 3rd party vst that'll make vocals automatically get louder to match an instrumental, so during loud parts the instrumental doesn't drown out the vocals?[Title & text edited for clarity. —Mod.]
Hello,I'd like to do some automated editing in the multitrack view based on the content of the tracks. For example, Audition is missing basic features like "strip silence" in the multitrack view.Is that possible? And if so, can someone point me to sample code?— Charles
does anyone have any idea why its taking my audition so long to scan for plugins? ive tried closing all other programs ect to free up cpu and it still takes forever. i remember in the past sometimes it would scan super fast.but now it always freezes first by making the program not respond and after like a minute or two itll then start to scan...
I have now tried to make my first file in PODCAST. It worked fine, but I wonder you can not get the file smaller in one way or another as it would be too big to send by e-mail. I found out as exported mixdown as a wave file full of 5490 kb - and as mp3 filled 765 kb and as a wma file it filled it 535 kb. The audio file is 28.3 sec. Are there other options if I make a long podcast to sendt with email get it down in size? Thanks in advance!
I'm new to Audition and am using CC 2015. I've been looking through the forums on this for awhile but still can't work out exactly how to do the following. Would someone please help walk me through this?I have a long MP3 file, nearly 9 hours long, 500MB. I want to make some edits to clean up the recording, such as increasing the volume (it was recorded too low), removing accidental and random knocks of things in the background making clanking noises, and taking out a whole section where an engine passes by. Just one track is fine, no mixing or anything. Don't really need effects. I need to be in Waveform making these edits, and imported the file and have been working with it as an MP3 since the switch to .wav would result in a huge file. I'm on an iMac with 16GB RAM, but it's still hefty as an MP3, and some of the spectral frequency display isn't resolving very well. My end product I would like to have is a clean 9-hour MP3.Since it's so long, I can't do all the edits at one time, so I
I've searched and searched and haven't found the answer to this, and I'm sure it's an easy fix (at least I hope!).But, I'm working on editing a podcast that features a host and a guest. I've got the clips grouped in a multitrack session, but when I split them or delete a selection to get rid of a long pause, an "uhm" etc. I can't move in the second clip that is created from the split to create a crossfade, it moves everything on the track. When I delete it creates a gap that keeps me from moving the second clip independently (see image). I just want to be able to slide it over, make it overlap and keep moving. I've tried the ripple delete feature but that makes it tough if it's not a clean edit point because there is no crossfade present.Help please and thank you!
Hey. I've just installed the 10.1 update and have noticed a significant issue straight away.Volume envelopes and fades are discarded when clips are converted to unique copies. Panning automation remains. I haven't tried other kinds of automation. This hasn't been the case in past versions.I'll have to roll back to 10.0.2 until it's fixed and have advised my colleagues not to update.Joseph
Well I certainly found the limit of my CPU when it comes to running plug-ins. 4-core i7 running 4ghz. I get a few before things start jamming up the pipeline, but certainly not all of them that I want to run. I'm not sure it's a "number of cores" issue at all. Rather it seems to me that I'm exceeding the ability of a single core. CPU occupancy is in the low 20s indicating to me that a single core is doing all the work. RAM memory is not an issue and no hard page hits are occurring so it isn't going out to memory having run out of cache. Adobe Audition is multi-core aware but certainly isn't distributing plug-in processing across multiple cores.Outboard DSP is a $2000 solution, and one that I can't handle right now. Ugh.I have performed all the Windows optimizations listed in the (good read) Focusrite support website including eliminating background tasks, killing anti-virus, running in airplane mode etc. I have also tweaked the ASIO buffer size. To be fair, I can run a hand full of plu
Hello everyone,I am evaluating Audition for a very specific need but I am not used to audio software. I am not even sure what I am asking is possible to automate or not .Your help is required for me to be able of doing what I'd like to! Thank you in advance for any intervention. What I do need is an automation process to perform the following tasks automatically on the tracks that I would have added manually first:- Add a Fade IN in the 10 first seconds of all tracks- Repeat each track up to a new length of one hour per track ( all tracks have different lenghts and I would like not to have silences between the repetitions of each seperated track )- Mix all the tracks together ( superposed )- Change the speed of the track by accelerating it up to 70%- Change the amplification of the track by lowering it down to -39 dB- Export the new track in FLAC/8/24 ( with the default name or if possible by asking the name )Is that even possible ?Once again, thank you for your time, I really apprecia
So, I'm brand new to Audition. I've watched some basic tutorials and I'm generally familiar with the composition of Adobe products, so I don't consider myself totally incompetent. However, I can't seem to add any effects. When I add an effect to a track, it will appear on the Effects Rack while the dialogue to edit the effect remains open. However, as soon as I hit Apply, the effect disappears from the track and the Effects Rack. Every tutorial I've seen says only to select the effect and apply it once it sounds good, but am I missing a step?
Hey guys,I am hoping I can get a little help identifying some noise that is being introduced in an initial recording.I record VO predominantly and in the last few recordings I have noticed some fine lines of noise in the spectral frequency display. The lines are only noticeable when zoomed right into the timeline. This noise is very sporadic and not in every recording nor is it throughout a recording it is usually just a specific sentence. In saying that when the sentence is recorded again the noise is not there. As I have never seen this before I would like to know if someone has had this happen and what the cause may be. What would you suggest as troubleshooting steps.I have had a little issue in the past with .WAV corruption but this seems like an altogether different issue. Please see the attached screen shot. Thanks for your time.Liam
It took me a while to figure out how to record at 192kHz with a computer audio interface; I learned that you have to specify the interface as both input and output. I see no sense in that, but OK. Unfortunately, then I realized that my interface is too noisy at high frequencies to allow me to do what I want to do, so I'd like to use instead a high-quality ADC, which when set up to record music doesn't accept output from my computer; it's a one-way device. I tried setting up Audition with the ADC as input device and an audio interface as the output device--but Audition keeps telling me that the audio hardware has changed, and asking if I want to go to hardware setup. I go, but it looks the same as before; the choices are correct. So then I click OK and try to record again, and the same thing happens. I can't record. An audio interface is a very fine thing, but much professional recording is done with an ADC. I find it hard to believe that AA, which is something of an industry standard,
I exported an edit from Premiere CS6 as an OMF and opened it in Audition CS6, but I can't find the video. I know I'm missing something simple. Please help
HelloI'd like to record various instruments simultaneously via an Alesis multimix 16 firewire into Audition CS5. But apparently it only records the right and left stereo channel and not the individual tracks. Where can I make the correct setup? Thanks Distru
I am trying to edit my tracks but no matter what I do there is a 2 - 3 second delay when I try to do something like move the bar to a different time point, press play, adjust db level... If the song is playing and I click mute, or solo, it will only take effect several seconds later, basically most things I need to do while editing are severely delayed.I have Audition CC most up to date version, I can't say for sure when the files are from and what version of Audition I originally used but the project is not more then 2-3 years old - I use a Macbook Pro 16GB of ram, i7, great specs all around so after reading other posts I can't see the machine being the issue and I am not going past 7 or 8% processing power. I read in one of the posts that someone had issues 'calulating playback' because they brought files form an earlier version of Audition but I don't even see that message. I get the beachball, which is the windows equivalent of the spinning cursor. I tried doing m
Is there a way to add a delay/echo and reverb only to the highs and mids of a track? Adding these effects to the whole spectrum gives a muddy distortion in the lows. Also what is the easiest way to match the delay/echo to the tempo of a track? Thanks!
I am using Adobe Audition CC 2017 on my Mac Pro running OS x Yosemite 10.10.5. Audition crashes each time I cut segments of an individual track in multitrack view then merge the tracks together. I have paused (Dropbox, Google Drive) or quit (Chrome) all other programs when editing. It does not seem to matter the file or session I am working in. My system and Mac are all up to date on software updates. Any advice to resolve this issue would be appreciated. I also have the system log reports if necessary.
