Not Correct log Sweep signal created.Open for Voting

I was trying to generate a logarithmic sweep (log sweep) signal. Specifically, I wanted to create a log sweep starting at 50 Hz and sweeping up to 15 kHz over 5 seconds, while maintaining a constant signal level of 0 dBFS from start to end.Of course, I set up a 48 kHz sample rate with 32-bit float. However, when I check the generated file, the sweep clearly exceeds the intended 15 kHz limit and continues all the way up to nearly 20 kHz. Additionally, once it goes beyond 20 kHz, the level drops by about 3 dB and the signal continues at that reduced amplitude. This issue doesn’t occur in other audio editing programs. I also tested it with Python code, and there were no such problems. So I’m wondering — why does this only happen in Adobe Audition?

Enable editors to crossfade nested sequences in AuditionOpen for Voting

A common workflow (at least for me):I cut together a sequence of clips in Premiere. I need to apply video transitions to multiple layers of video content, so I nest the layers by selecting them and right-clicking to select “Nest...” I now transfer the sequence to Audition to do final audio. I can’t apply crossfades to nested sequences in Audition. The process of nesting them in Premiere removes their handles. The clips in the nested sequence have handles, Audition should be able to “see” that. I shouldn’t have to do any additional preparation in Premiere or keyframe the fades in Audition to accomplish this.

Need suggestions to optimize my export workflow

I am editing and mixing an album of classical music that I recorded over the course of a week. I have finished editing every piece, and every piece has its own multitrack session. Each session contains 12 tracks (mics), and each track contains 20-50 splices, depending on the piece. Each splice may reference a different file of audio recorded in the initial multitrack session (there were lots of stops and starts so they could listen back to their takes). I assume this is pretty standard so far. I need to figure out the best way to export these tracks WITHOUT effects and mixing. Since I tend to mix as I go, each session and each track has active effects, gain adjustments, and stereo panning adjustments, depending on the track. I have maxed out what my MacBook Pro can handle before slowing to a painful chug. My goal is to export each track AS IS with no effects, no gain adjustments, no stereo panning. Then, each track will become a single file that I can work with more easily. I can then

Audition 26.0.0.56 Won't open 25.3.0.71 SessionsOpen for Voting

Returned to work from vacation to find Audition had updated itself while I was away. New version is 26.0.0.56 Build. When I try to open sessions I produced in Audition 25.3.0.71, Audition comes up with the Can’t find all Media pop-up and wants me to link to the Media. When I try to link media (even if I manually try to link the media by right-clicking on the clip and selecting Link Media, it doesn’t work. I cannot seem to open old sessions with the new 2026 version. In my workplace, (radio station) I have to save all sessions to a OneDrive, accessible to all producers across the country, so anyone can work on anything. I have not tried to open an old session from my local HDD. (yet) I have reverted back to Audition 2025 so I can complete my work. Audition 2025 still opens everything normally… even from the Company OneDrive.

Help with Mac Audio...not Audition specific

My Mac is hanging when attempting to open any audio app. When attempting to open any Audio app on my Mac, i’m getting very long stalls.Audition stalls at “Initializing (AUui)” but will load after about five minutes.Reaper stalls at “creating Midi client”...I haven’t waited to see if it eventually opens.GarageBand opens, but reports “Error initializing CoreMidi” and warns “MIdi Services not available.”and the Apple Midi Setup stalls when Window>Show Midi Studio is chosen. I’ve cleared any caches I could find, deleted prefs, and replaced my Library/Audio folder with a TimeMachine backup, but the issue persists. I’ve unplugged my vocaster and my Korg nanoKontrol and deleted midi drivers. Any tips?Apple M2 Max, OS 15.7.1

Audition 2026 stops recognizing audio interface after repairing waveform with iZotope RX Connect

I have a Steinberg UR22C that can operate as both ASIO and MME. When operating as ASIO, Audition will stop recognizing the interface after applying a spectral repair operation with iZotope RX Connect. It didn’t have this issue a couple days ago. I perform these steps as follows before it stops recognizing the interface in ASIO mode:I switch from the multitrack view to waveform view I highlight the section I need to repair, choose iZotope RX Connect in the effects list, and hit apply The track opens in iZotope RX, I perform the repair, and click Send Back I open iZotope RX Connect again in the effects list, then hit apply The waveform is repaired, but when I switch back to multitrack view, Audition will stop recognizing the interface in ASIO mode. If I close Audition, unplug/replug the interface, and open it again, it will recognize the interface, until I perform the operation above again. It does not seem to exhibit this issue when operating in MME mode, but this mode is not a viabl

Device becomes unrecognized after using waveform spectral editor or iZotope RX 11 Connect featureOpen for Voting

I will got to the waveform editor, select the section I need to edit, and apply the RX Connect Repair plugin. I edit my clip, send back through iZotope RX, then click apply for the changes to set. After the changes are applied, Audition will stop recognizing my audio interface. I will have to close Audition, unplug my device, plug it back in, and restart Audition. I will usually have to reset it in the device manager as well. Starting happening after a Windows 11 update.

Wave display bug when scalingOpen for Voting

In multitrack editing, if you use audio track stretching, the wave is displayed incorrectly when scaling. In my work, I need maximum precision down to the beat, but due to a display bug, I cannot achieve this, since at one scale the wave is in one place, and if you change the scale a little, the wave is already in a different place. This bug was not in version 2023, but appeared starting from 2024Windows 112023 23.6.1.32024 24.4.1.3

Audition 26 mixing up and inserting different files into one after becoming unresponsideOpen for Voting

Hi, yes Audition 26 makes wat should be an easy peasy job into a nightmare. It looks like a beta version, not ready to be released yet. It is messing up my files, my work too and deeply regret to have uninstalled Au24 and Au 25. The last sweet event was yesterday. Using AU 26, I opened a file I recorded using a Zoom handheld recorder and began to edit it, then suddenly, Au26 froze, it was ciclying doing something for a long time, closed by itself and when I opened the file again to work on it, Audition 26 had done 4 things:1. it mixed up that file with another one I had on the same SD card, inserting it in the middle of my working file.2. It deleted the last 5-7 minutes of the original audio file AND3. It created another one with few seconds of the original one, with a greeting, repeating it in a loop for 29 minutes. 4. There was no back up savedNow, the initial file has to be on air tomorrow and I am on leave but working, using file recovery applications trying to find any copy on t

26.0.0.56 Regularly Corrupting Audio Files on SaveOpen for Voting

I’m regularly getting an issue where there are errors on processing or saving in the latest version of Adobe Audition which corrupts the audio file itself, leading it to only showing silence. For example, I had 20 short audio files I just ran a volume normalisation process on, I got an error during the process, saved the files, then reopened them to discover all were now silent. This is REALLY bad. It’s one thing for bugs to happen, but when they actually destroy the audio file being worked on at the same time, that is seriously bad news. I am very fortunate that my pipeline has constant backups at every stage of the process.

Audition is corrupting the files I record. New issues started 2 days ago.Open for Voting

I have recorded 12 & 45 minute voice overs files for a documentary. I also recorded a test today. It was fine for a few minutes, then I got the same error message I have attached. It appears the waveform is there, but there is no sound. I pulled the file up in another DAW, WAV or MP3, and the audio is gone. In another DAW thee waveform has vanished. The wave in flat. It played back just fine last night when I saved and closed out.

import session markers ("Bereichsmarker") from WAV into Multitrack

I’ve inserted two WAV files directly next to each other on the first track of a multitrack file (two recordings of a single concert, one before and one after the intermission...). I’ve already added section markers with song titles to the WAV files. I’d like to carry these section markers over to the multitrack file. No problem transferring the markers from the first clip, e.g., via CSV. However, I can’t insert the markers from the second file starting from their position because they’re always inserted as absolute markers, which overwrites the markers from the preceding first file. No way to do this, right?

Adobe is randomly gradually fading up and down while I record. I listen to the playback and I hear it fading down to the point where it's unusable.

I record audio from my mic to an audio interface into my computer and to the DAW (Adobe Audition). I can’t figure out why it’s doing this but I’ll record and then when I step back to playback the recording there are places where the audio will fade out and back in (Also shows on the waveform). You can see in the images shared that the audio goes down considerably, I maintained my mic distance and placement, and maintained my speaking volume throughout both of these. The second screenshot is where it is the worst, but since it is a private audition I can’t share the audio file. The first one I just went to NESCAFE’s website and read coffee facts for the sample. I’ll upload that one as an mp3 as well. Any ideas on what could be causing this issue? I have tried switching the buffering size from 512 up to 1024, which seemed to have no affect. I have it set to ASIO (I’m on Windows). and the sample rate is 48kHz, which matches the system settings. My recording setup is as follows:Mic: Neuma

audio preferences pop up randomly

After the recent update of Adobe Cloud to Auditiion 2026, I constantly get the pop up of Audio Preferences, even though I haven’t changed anything. Now it stops in the middle of recordings and is killing my productivity. Seems its just come about with the upgrade to 2026. I want back to 2025 but that didn’t seem to solve the issue. Ideas, fix, patch? thanks

Popup stating audio devices has changed

Hi teamI was on vaca for 2 wks, started up adobe audition versuin25.3.0.71 and now I'm getting a popup window about every two hours or so stating: 'The list of audio devices connected to the operating system has been changed. Do you want to open the Audio Hardware preferences? I did not have this message before my vaca. I click yes, and I have to re-choose Device class: ASIO / Device: Focusrite USB ASIO etc and then also correct my Audio Channel Mapping Device Channels.  What is causing this to happen and how do I fix this so that it doesn't happen again? I'm hardwired into my router and I have a new laptop. Thank you all!

Ability to edit transcripts in the podcast on adobe.com and then download the raw files, which include those edits for multiple participantsOpen for Voting

I'm using podcast.adobe.com to record my podcasts, but you cannot edit the transcript and then download separate audio files for each participant which include those edits. I think that should be a standard to help with the workflow. It would also be nice to be able to import this directly into Adobe Audition for additional processing.
