Adding a marker to audition is super easy - just click m and there it is, yay. However, they don’t stay where you put them. So, they are useless.I’ve added markers to a track (single waveform, not multitrack view), saved the file and come back to it later. Sometimes the markers are just not where I put them. Other times they move if I do an edit. Any kind of inserting a recording will move all the markers (or rather, keep the marker where it was while shifting the rest of the waveform along with the new insterted recording). Sometimes pasting audio into the track will mess things up. Other times it just seems to happen anyway.Any ideas how to make markers an actual functioning feature rather than a waste of time?(I’ve shared this in a group with audio narrators and many of them report the same issue, some suggesting editing from the end of the track backwards as this might be a workaround. I’d prefer to have it just work properly if possible. Tech support suggested it was due
I’m having issues with Audition. I was able to use it for 10 minutes today, but then it froze. When I tried to restart it, it will still be frozen. I can’t even send any bug or error reports. I tried using previous versions of Audition and they too weren’t working. I spent like 1 or 2 hours trying to get this software to work. I tried updating all the versions of Audition and they still freeze. I posted a video here of what I’m experiencing so you get an idea.
Adobe, fix this please! Audition 2023 burns CDs just fine on my 2022 Mac Studio with external SuperDrive, yet Audition 2024 can't handle such an advanced task?! This is ridiculous.
16-bit 92K audio files sound normal, the problem only affects 24-bit 192K audio and is a recent problem occurring this past week since the latest Audition update
When using multi track, I highlight the audio on the tracks I want to mixdown to a new file. When I choose that option, Audition is mixing down everything in the session vs just the selected tracks. Again I highlight the tracks, I right click, scroll to mixdown session to new file, choose selected clips, but it is still mixing down everything in the session. This just started happening when I upgraded to version 26.0.0.56 Can anyone tell me what I need to do or if a default needs to be changed with the upgrade? Thank you for any suggestions or fixes.
new issue with Audition. If i highlight the whole waveform and delete it, the content is cleared and the scroll bar along the top is emptied, but the main editor window still hase the waveform image in view. If I hit record this screen then clears and the recording continues, so the content has been deleted, but for some reason this ghost of the waveform remains in the viewing window until I hit record again. This was never an issue before latest update.
I have a large number of files in my Audition project, and waste time searching for the clip or music piece that I want to use. I am wondering if Adobe might add a feature where users could create "bins" or folders within the files panel where we could sort our files into sub-categories (e.g. music, bridges, dialogue clips by speaker, etc.)
Please add folders in the “Files” tab (similarily to Premiere Pro), so that we can group files and the list does not take much space (currently if the list of files takes the whole space vertically, we’re unable to drag and drop more files)
Hi, my my computer doesn't support AVX2 so I'm stuck using versions 23 of Premiere and After Effects which is fine. Luckily the Creative Cloud app allowed me to download these older versions. However, Audition doesn't have any option to download an older versions like many of the other apps do and the current version isn't compatible with my computer. So how install Audition v23 which I assume works without AVX2? Thanks,-Pete
v.26 hangs on opening until force quit.
This is actually not a bug report, but rather a feature request. For some reason it won’t let me put in a feature request. Here is the feature request that I’m asking for:It’s very common for me to work with multiple tracks that contain similar audio clips, often created through copy-and-paste. Sometimes this results in unintended duplicate clips stacked directly on top of each other.Because these overlapping clips aren’t always obvious visually, I’ve occasionally played back audio without realizing that multiple clips were sounding at once. This can lead to messy or confusing playback and makes troubleshooting more difficult.I propose a feature that either prevents audio clips from being placed directly on top of one another or provides a clear visual warning (such as an icon, highlight, or alert) when overlapping clips occupy the same time range on the same track.
I’ve posted this in Bug Reports, but no luck there so far. Audition 26.0 has become completely unusable. It launches, displays the Learn Panel, and then freezes within 5–10 seconds. The UI turns gray, the Learn Panel shows a blue border, and the app locks up requiring a hard reboot every time. This has halted my voiceover work for over 10 days. I’ve done everything possible:• Full uninstall of Audition, Creative Cloud, and all Adobe apps• Manual deletion of all Adobe folders (Program Files, AppData, CEP, CEF, WebView2)• Clean reinstall• Workspace reset with custom “NoLearn” layout• Edited AuditionPrefs.xml to disable Learn Panel• Deleted recovery files after each crash• Renamed Learn Panel extension folders• Added dummy index.html to bypass panel content• Disabled CEPHtmlEngine and renamed global CEP folder• Verified WebView2 runtime• Rebooted multiple times, tested with and without peripherals• Confirmed no GPU, audio, or driver conflict
Hi there,Everytime I use the function "Match loudness", Audition is changing the metadata (year). - If I do not change the audio format as output, it changes for example "2021" to "2021-00-00". - If I change the audio format as out (eg. m4a to mp3) I have same result and sometimes "1904-00-00" which of course is worse. Any idea about how to fix this?
Today I edited a multitrack podcast for downloading the same i had to subribe it, which I did,.ut after that, i coudnt find the group recording editing feature
Recently, after opening audition and either recording or playing an audio file. The playhead (and the entire application) will begin to lag an insane amount. Making it almost impossible to monitor anything or record. My computer is pretty beefy (4070S, 7800X3D, 32GB DDR5), and I've tried everything under the sun to try and fix this issue but no dice. I use ASIO audio drivers with my Focusrite Scarlet Solo Gen 4, I made sure that everything was matching between the two. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions to this problem it'd be appretiated a ton! I've uploaded the same video of the issue multiple times so that anyone can view it properly without issue 🙂Audition Issue (Incase video doesn't work)
Anyone else having issues with Audition not loading? Just installed on a new windows laptop and wont get past the loading screen. Gets stuck on load page with "Initializing (dvascripting). Have uninstalled and re-installed, all windows updates are current. Same problem keeps happening.
Add a key-assignable command in Adobe Audition that moves the playhead to the current mouse cursor position on the timeline—exactly like the ‘Move Playhead to Cursor’ shortcut in Premiere Pro. This would allow instant navigation without clicking, significantly speeding up editing and timing workflows.
Please add a "soft selection" to audio selection in clip view simular to photoshop selection where you blur the selection and apply an effect gradually over the area/time.Same for gain, you can do it gradually without gain envelope ... I know there is a paint brush but this does not work well for me, i want to select the full range and just gradually apply an effect (simular to dry wet).I'm optimising a lot of audio clips so i'm not going to create a multitrack for every sound. Maybe we could also drag up / down while selecting using the time selection tool, up being 100 weight, Or have a blur selection radius like in PS . IE when you lasso'd your selection you would want to blur it...have a corner button like in PS to 'round off' the selection... being a wight fadeAlso Epand / contract would be nice if you have a complex selection...Basically whatever is in PS for selection Thank you.
Hola!
For the love of everything sacred, kindly implement folders for organizing audio files in an Audition Multitrack project. It's the only program in the professional suite that doesn't support this basic functionality. Please and thank you.Stephen
both audition and zoom are set to use the same speakers and microphones - my mixing board... but it still won't record the audio in audition
Hello - i'm new to adobe and have been testing short (less than a min) mp4 files to enhance audio. I've noticed when I upload an m4a (audio only), I'm able to enhance the audio just fine. It does not work on mp4 which has a video as part of it. And I'm on the premium plan. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or is this truly a bug.
I have large MP3 files that I am gradually ‘splitting’ into individual files. To do this, I use right-click > Save selection as. When saving directly to the network drive, the save fails in about one out of three cases with the following message: ‘An error occurred while saving the file to the hard drive. The destination directory may be full or no longer available.’This is extremely annoying and has been happening repeatedly for many months. What is the cause and how can it be prevented?
Hi all, Can anyone recommend any tweaks which are available on Audtion to make vinyl files sound more livelier? I have recorded several mono 45s which are only available in stereo on CD. All clicks and surface noise etc. has been cleaned up but they sound a tiny bit flat. Are there any tweaks on Audition to make them sound a bit brighter or similar to CD sounding quality? Any advice would be greatly appreciated in advance. Thanks, Paul.
Hi I have a 40 minute podcast episode almost finished, had to postpone it for a few weeks, re-opened just now and ALL 62 FILES ARE OFFLINE. I went to Link Media, and nothing is turning up -- similarly-named files, but not the ones Link Files is looking for. I noted one oddity (see screenshot): apparently I saved the file in the wrong project folder. It went into the Thanksgiving folder, which was a previous episode. I am guessing that the .sesx file is now in a different file from its source files. Also, although all the files are missing, I notice the timeline has all the colors for each track still there... Any suggestions for a fix? If I save the project in the correct folder with its source files, will that work? Thanks for any help, and Happy Holidays.
