There's a new option available in Creative Cloud for people who struggle with the rigid, single user concept in Lightroom Classic. Advertised as the cloud version, Lightroom (7) recently added support for local files. The typical Lightroom toolset is available – yet without prior import into a database. You just browse your local system, pick a file and start editing. The program, unlike Bridge, is heavily focused on photographer-specific tasks. Apart from RAW, only very few file formats are supported, also PSDs are only read in if they have been saved with composite layers (max compatibility checked). As also true for Lightroom Classic, there's no way to manage print or web content and their file formats. Hence, our team has to stick with Bridge 🙂.
I just tried to batch process 77 images in bridge and was told I cant unless I update my software, so I tred to do that but photoshop says my computer is to old so I cant?? I am being charged for photoshop monthly and I cant afford a new Mac so what do I do ? cancel photoshop altogether I can edit images as I've always done but cant batch process ?? so annoying
Currently it creates the folder as a single number for the date e.g. 151023. I want to get it to include - between each part of the date to make the folder easier to identify e.g. 15-10-23 (UK format). Is there a way to do this? I know I can do it manually. Thanks
Hello. Adobe bridge is constantly filling up C disk. I set disk D as Cache location, but disk C still fills up. Can you help me?Media Cache and Media Cache Files folders (\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Common) appear empty.
In the past, I could use Find in Bridge very easily by setting the parameter (e.g., "File name") and then each time I needed to find something, I could just hit cmd + F and type the number. Now I have to select the type field every single time after I hit cmd + F. Basically, there's an extra click to what was a simple workflow. Any way around this?
Is it possible (or can it be added as a feature) to add additional file types to Adobe Bridge?Bridge 13.0.3For example, the file type .afphoto This is so that we can set Affinity Photo 2 as the default editor when a file is double clicked. It is all very well going via the Open with, Browse options but that has to be done every time. And why doesn't Bridge use the Windows default associations? My Windows default app for .afphoto is set to Affinity Photo 2, but Bridge doesn't use that!?!?!?
Among the many issues with the new user interface in Bridge 13 and 14, the bright header on Windows stands out. Here are a few suggestions to make the appearance more pleasing, quickly.Adapt to theme coloursReduce the header to Single Row (see headers in Photohop, Illustrator, InDesign). Indicators for secondary windows don't need to have a second row of text, and the same goes for the file path. It was best if you made additional Bridge Windows first class citizens (as in V12), then you wouldn't need hints. Let us hide the toolbar. No Adobe program I use shows toolbars for such basic functions. In more than 10 years, I have not clicked that Bridge toolbar once - it only wastes precious vertical space.Move Workspace Tabs to the Header Revisit other areas of wasteful element arrangement (see attached gif) I crossposted this to Uservoice.
Bridge is stripping the extensions off my images. The images are turning into black boxes with the word 'exec' in them.Any ideas? The only way to get my image back is to manually rename each file and add '.jpg' after the file name. Please help.
Here are two enhancements requests for batch renaming. Both of them should require just a few lines of code and would enhance our daily workflows greatly.Let us use longer image names. The text fields offer plenty of space, yet you only offer us space for names up to roughly 25 letters. For our use-case we always need far longer names. They never fit the current field. It was an easy change to make the current field grow, when longer input gets detected.Give us a checkbox to reset the "sequence number" field. This would make work with series of images a lot less tedious. I even suggest making "reset" the default value (checkbox checked) – I cannot imagine a use-case where contiguous numbering between renaming sessions was desirable. The attached paintover shows the proposed changes.@pankajg6675616
Any chance we can get an update that adds a column style browsing style that is similar that is similar to the finder found on the Mac OS?
Noticed that when scrolling through images that Bridge is slow and laggy. Furthermore, when you click on a file, the images/sub folders don't appear. You have to go back, and then click on the file again for them to appear. Anyone else having similar issues?
When performing a search you, for some reason, don't accept empty rows. You show a modal dialogue that only adds friction. You could two things that wouldn't interrupt the workflow: Leave the empty row put so that one can use it for the next search. Just ignore it.Auto-delete empty rows. Both options were better than that nag-screen.👀@nikunj.m Mods, please leave this staff-ping in place. This handle is public anyway.
bridgeでレーティングを付けた写真を表示させ、lightroom classicに連携させることはできますか?
Is it possible to set Bridge to open -by default- only specific version illu files? If i have ver 2022 and 2023, i want to set it to open only ver 2022 files.
Since updating to Adobe Bridge 2020 I am trying to preview files in Bridge and only open the ones I want to work within Raw or Photoshop. It used to be a double click would open the file in Raw but now just a single click opens the file in Raw (for raw files) or Photoshop (for JPEG). This slows down my workflow making reviewing shots a real challenge. Help please! how do I switch back to double click. NOTES:(1) I've checked my computer settings this only happens in Bridge not in my non-Adobe programs and files.(2) Working on a Mac desktop running Catalina using a wired Logitech mouse

First of all I understand what I'm doing being a Programmer and I went through all the setting and post online talking about this issue. All Jpegs, gifs and so on are showing the thumbnail correctly however all my pngs aren't showing any thumbnails nor the image on the right when I click on it. I am using Irfan view as the way to open all my pngs and jpegs. These images are not in some protected folder and many of the images are very small. I also didn't touch any settings in Edit>Preferences> Cache/ Cahce Management/ Thumbnails.
I have Win 10 GPO's that restrict access to the C drive. However, when Bridge is installed users can see the entire contents of the C drive. How can this be prevented?
Does dragging a photo from Adobe Bridge and dropping it into InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc. decrease the quality of an image?
I believe the issue may be related to mapped network drives that are not connected. However, the new bridge (with floating windows) is unusable for me. It sometimes takes 3-4 restarts to get it to work, and I have to wait for about a minute or more before I can interact with the program because it freezes. (The network drives in my favorites are always connected, and they are treated as local drives.)
I want to export some files:--project----preview----psdthis is my folder structure, I want to export my psd files inside the preview folder while the project folder name is changing between different projects:in MacOS writing "../preview" in "Save to subfolder named" works wellin Windows, it gives to me an error: "Directory creation faild" (i'm using "..\Preview") how can I resolve this issue? Thanks!
Since installing Sonoma, i've had a few bridge issues...one was solved with the tip here to turn off some of the scripts (thank you) but now i'm finding that Bridge always opens to a folder i rarely use -- i THINK it used to open to the last folder viewed. is there a setting for this? thanks, Tom O'Connell
How do I turn off the magnifier in Bridge. It used to vannish with a click inside the magnifier. That no longer works.Adobe Bridge 13.0.3.693Thanks!
I can only add one keyword to an image. If I try adding another keyword, the original keyword is automatically deleted. I have the latest verison of Bridge. Any suggestions?
bridge needs the slightest one click to start to open images i'm just trying to select to preview, to compare and i can tell you that makes the day SSUUUUUUUPPPPPPEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR frustrating. instead of 5 seconds selecting 2 images to see them next to each other in preview and be happy... i open the images by mistake, i have to close the images, i have to select the images AGAIN of course, i fear AGAIN of course that they will open AGAIN.... :))) adobe.. please... i wanna sell everything and go live in the woods imac late 2015, OS Monterey, Wacom Intuos, latest photoshop and bridge installed. what ever is the latest, i install the latest so.. the latest as of today :))
