Bridge

I am working on editing the metadata for a large number of photos. Several times now, Bridge has crashed and closed. Then, when I try to reopen the program, I get a message that says "The item 'Bridge.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved". If I try to open Bridge via the CC app, nothing happens when I click the button. The only solution I've found is to reinstall Bridge. This has happened multiple times already today. Any ideas?

Win 10, 32 GB RAM, fast SSDs here.When I use the keyword panel to set keywords to numerous files (mostly large psds) Bridge starts writing Metadata which is visible in the status bar. At some point, however, Bridge stops adding keywords and tells me that it creates thumbnails in the status bar (thumbnails are all there, no need to recreate them).I see this issue when adding, when removing and when combining add and remove keyword operations. Alternatively, I tried using the file info panel with all relevant files pre-selected. Again, Bridge stars doing its thing, but suddenly stops, long before it should.The keyword panel shows a dash in the checkbox, indicating that the keyword is partially assigned. If I click this dash I usually can restart the assignment (visible in status bar), but it will stop again. By repeating this procedure a couple of times one can write all desired keywords to the selection – but this all feels terribly slow and buggy. What can I do, to reliably write

I am using Bridge to manage a large number of .wav audio files. Even though Bridge recognizes and plays them, there seems to be no way to add columns that make sense for audio, such as length or bit rate. Instead, Bridge offers options such as "dimensions" or "color profile". Is there a way to add some meaningful columns to audio file lists? 

I would like to give a bunch of keywords a title, so that I can collapse them with a Toggle. I only want a name, the title should not be assignable. The help file says that brackets will do this. Not here. The keyword [Test] behaves like any other keyword. Is there anything I do wrong? English OS and Bridge GUI, German regional settings.     

How and why does Bridge suddenly decide to not show PDFs either as thumbnails in "Essentials" or singulary in "Filmstrip"? 

A lot of videos and photos that I took with an app don't have the right taken date. It's only yesterday I realised that the date of creation I put on videos in Lightroom can't be written.So I used Bridge to rewrite the right date on those videos but the Finder on mac still has the same wrong date of creation. The metadata applied in Bridge can be seen in Lightroom but not in the Finder.And I can't import them in Onedrive or Photos on mac because they read the date of the file in Finder that doesn't change. There are some families moments that I would love to get a notification from Onedrive or Photos during the correct day.Do you know how to force the date on Finder with these softwares? Adobe support keeps pushing me to Premiere Pro because of the videos. This is nonsense, even for photos the GPS isn't exported. Thank you

HelloI have a very large set of images that have previously been tagged with keywords in another programme. I managed to get the old metadatas in a text file that I cleaned.These keywords are now listed in an Excel spreadsheet, with the file name as the first column and different information for each image (subjects, sources, author, country...). So far I have managed to import the list of keywords, but I have not figured out how to automatically assign them to the different images.Is this possible? 

Any way I can synchronize setting, preferences between two PC, between Bridge?  Like export, or file import and renames? Metadata? By cloude?

Latest Bridge on Win 10 here. When I enter a string into the top right search box Bridge doesn't only search the current folder, but also subfolders. I don't want this to happen by default. Therefore, I unchecked "Include all Subfolders" in the Advanced Search dialogue.With Advanced Search open and the subfolders-checkbox unchecked I can indeed limit search to just the current folder level. But this only works as a one shot option. As soon as I close the modal window and use the search field again, I'm back to subfolder search. Also, the advanced search dialogue once again has Search in Subfolders ticked active. Is there a way for me to limit simple searches to just the current folder – persistently?

I work with Photoshop and Bridge and manually combine JPG files with layered PSD files. To begin I create a Bride collection with stacks, open each stack in Photoshop and run an action to copy the JPG into the layered PSD. Then return to Bridge open another stack and continue with the process. What are some other options to combine a JPG file to a layered PSD when dealing with large file quantities?   

I plugged my new phone(samsung s21 ultra) into the PC, and it gave me the option of opening with Bridge.  I selected bridge, but I don't want bridge to open every time I plug my phone into the PC.  Search wasn't helpful for PC systems.  Please help. How do I keep bridge from opening everytime I plug my phone into my PC?

After updating to the latest version of Bridge CC, the titles under the thumbnails are no longer centered, but left aligned. It's difficult to believe this is the intended behavior, but I can't find any setting in either preferences or tools to change it. In combination with the enormous padding around the thumbnails, it makes for a very disjointed interface. Is there a way to improve the flow of the titles? Compared to the previous interface, nice and tidy 

everytime i open bridge it is freezing up - didnt used to do this. I even updated to the newest version.Help please

Using the above version of Bridge on Macbook Pro using OS Big Sur v11.2.3.With Content Panel Open, I've selected images and tried to drag them to Output Preview but Bridge doesn't allow me to do so.I've restarted my laptop and still cannot do this.Ultimate goal here is to create a PDF of images.What am I doing wrong?

I use adobe bridge for searching using a keyword in a huge database of photos I have archived (work related). This process use to be easy but now bridge downloads every photo before coming up with search results. What I woudld like it to do is what it used to do and bring up search results before going through and downloading every photos. Is this possible?

I am not able to find the information / the possiblity to have an export or found the file on my computer (XML/CSV) that links the images in Bridge that have been tagged with keywords, and what are these keywords.For example : blabla.jpg;keywords 1;keywords2hello.jph;keywords 3etc...thank you

Hello, I've stupidly used Windows 10 Photos trim tool to trim loads of my videos and it's removed all of the metadata, including the created date - so when I try to put all of my library in order now, it has a bunch from today's date which I'd like to put back with the rest of the photos and videos to the correct time. Howerver the 'edit capture time' feature just brings up this error message when I select a video:  I've tried using third party software called 'Attribute changer 10' but when I change the date created it isn't reflected in Adobe Bridge for some reason - even after cleraring the cache for the folder. Is there anyway to do this in Bridge please? Thank you 

When using the healing brush, the brush size is automatically decreasing as I use the tool. I am on a Mac 10.15.7. The behavior occurs in the current versions of the software, as well as earlier versions. I am also using a Wacom Intuos Pro. I uninstalled the Wacom software to see if that would make a difference, but the problem continues, regardless. Any help would be appreciated!

Working with Bridge 11.0.2.123Extra -> Photoshop ->Image processor.Message: Install the latest version of photoshop to continue.But I dont want the latest version, it keeps freezing during editing, so i downgraded to 2020 version. How can I start image processor withou installing the latest version PS ?

I'm a 20 year user of Photoshop and never had this happen before. After creating HDR raw files in Adobe CC Bridge ACR and enhancing them, I lost all of the edits after moving the files (note: the xmp files are still there). I didn't even move them out of the folder, I just sorted the folder by "Type" so that all of the newly created HDR files would be put in one place and easily grabbed to move to a "selected folder" for image processing. I've deleted Adobe Bridge and Photoshop and re-installed. I did a "Ctrl+Alt+Shift" to reset the preferences for Bridge and that didn't do anything. I'm at a loss. This has been happening to the last 6 projects I've edited and then I have to re-edit and not move them in anyway in order to process into jpegs. Once I move them, the edits go away, but not all the edits. On some of the images, some remain. Sometimes it happens to only part of the images that are edited. There is no rhyme or reason. I don't know what else to do?

My stupid phone sometimes names photos 20200226_150253.jpg and then other times names them 2020-02-27 178241.jpg. I swear I haven't mess with any photo settings on my phone. So, when  I upload images to a single 2020 Photo folder, the images don't arrange in chronological order.Can someone provide me with a Regular Expression to select 20200226_  --selecting all XX(month) and all XX(day) and replace with the same MM/DD, in the format 2020-02-27  --so that I can fix all of them in one single batch rename? Thanks so much!

Hi,I noticed a recent over saturation of colors and blacks of my RAW while leaving the JPG intact when uploading images from my SD Card into Bridge 11.0.2.123. I shoot with a Fuji X-Pro3 and simulate Fuji ASTIA and have not changed a thing.  Bridge Camera Raw is killing the dynamic range, its over saturating the soft tones and altering hues and killing all shadow detail. I'm using a 2019 macOS Big Sur 11.3.1. Is anyone else dealing with this? I have read several old threads about it but were of no help. Reached out to Adobe, they were escalating my ticket but no news yet and have a deadline to meet. Will appreciate any help. Rolando
