I have created plugins for After Effects and Premiere for a new video file format which has a new file container (ie. not Quicktime or AVI) and so now I can work with these files in those programs (import, export and modify) however Bridge does not recognise these files - is there an SDK that can be used to extend Adobe Bridge to be able to work with the new Video file pes that I have - I can work in C,C++ or Javascript Many thanks, Nigel
When I created an action in CS6 to taked tiffs and process with various parameters into jpegs, when I'd run the action as a batch from Bridge, they would go into the same folder. But now in CC, they go to a set folder, and I have to change the last save function to go into the present folder, and so on, every time I want to process a batch in another folder. I think originally, it was 'save in same folder' but now it is save where last saved. Can I change that option or do I have to create a new action with all the steps I have in the other?
Earlier versions of Bridge allowed to export the cache into the folders, where the files were located. This allowed for smooth browsing through the folders, without having to wait for it to access the cache files somewhere else, or even regenerate them, because the allocated cache size had been exeeded. The recent versions don´t allow this anymore, they even reimporte cache date from the folders into the dedicated - limited sized - cache for all. Allthough it is possible to stop this, the cache for new files, automatically goes to the central cache, with now export to the folders possible anymore. The reorganisation of the cache, which seems to be going on while the user is trying to work, seem to be taking time and resources, keeping hard drives rattling and displays freezing, as soon as the PC is started. With my 300 000+ photo files on 8TB HD space, this has been going on for months now. While I can access newly added files relatively easy, as long as the
User interface scaling options are 100% or 200%, with no other choices.I have difficulty reading the font, especially in the ACR menus, and recognizing the icons using 100%, with font sizing set to its largest option, nearly unusable.200%, with font sizing set to its smallest option, makes the UI enormous, unnecessarily using up my screen real estate, also nearly unusable.See attached for screen shots.Minimal options should be 100, 125, 150, 175, & 200%.I'm quite happy with all of my other applications, e.g., my browsers are set to 100% magnification. My eyes are not what they used to be, requiring reading glasses at times, but still not requiring glasses full time. These latest UI changes leave much to be desired.
Please do you know how to solve the problem with video from Samsung phone? Bridge does not play or display them. However, they are functional in Adobe Premiere. Thanks in advance for the reply;)
I was reverted back recently to Bridge 2020 because the updates crashed my computer and now I can't see TIFF previews. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hi, my name is Thijs. I use Bridge all the time to browse my raw files, open them via ACR into Photoshop. Since around Dec 1st, Bridge is taking up 90-100% CPU for minutes, even after finishing creating thumbnails and previews. I noticed it because Photoshop was laggy. Before, Bridge would take up a considerable amount of resources to create thumbs/previews, but would settle down immediately after. To give you an idea: on a folder with 200 CR2 Canon raw files, it takes appr. 50 seconds to create thumbs/previews. But then it goes on for about 10 minutes at 90% CPU. And it takes appr 3.5 GB RAM. This leaves Photoshop very laggy, hard to work with. When I switch to another folder with only a few small jpgs, the CPU slows down to 2%. When I focus back on the original folder, it goes back up to 80-95%.The problem seems not to occur with jpgs and tiffs, so it might also be a Camera Raw issue? I'm on Windows 10. My computer is an i9 with 64GB RAM, and an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB graphics card
Attached is a sample of some illustrations I made for my book Cinematography: Theory and Practive. Several years ago, probably CS4, I think. I am not able to do this again in CS6 or Bridge 2021. How can I get back to a display where the margins between photos on as small as in this sample? Also, can I export or screen capture this entire screen directly from Bridge? Thanks
Hello ! Do you know how to open an image with Camera Raw with Adobe Bridge javascript scripting ? I manage to :- target Bridge application,- get a list of all the .jpg images inside the folder "/Users/input_directory" (i'm using a Mac),- select one image in the list (here the second image), - display the image in a new document- select the thumbnail that corresponds to the fileThe code is below : #target bridge-4.0; var files = Folder("/Users/input_directory/").getFiles("*.jpg"); var file_test = files[2]; var doc = new Document(file_test); var selectedThumbnails = app.document.getSelection(); var thumb = selectedThumbnails[0]; Do you know how i can edit the image using Camera Raw by scripting, and then export it (in raw, dng or another format) ?Documentation about Adobe Bridge can be downloaded here : https://console.adobe.io/downloads/brIn JavaScript SDK samples, there are 2 files : - SnpInspectMetadata.jsx- SnpMo
Just need to know how to do it. Using Catalina10.15.7. Until then, I'll use Bridge 2020. At least it acts normal.
Why has Bridge sufddenly stopoped displaying thumbnails for my Canon CR2 files, and TIFF Files.Displaying JPEG and PSD no problem, but Canon RAW CR2 can't see them.Win 7 64 Bit, Bridge 10.1.1.166And Bridge has also stopped displaying thumbnails for video files, in fact, If there is a video file in a folder, Bridge just freeezes completely when it comes to video. Was trying to organise video files from my phone and Bridge just gave up. Another fix by Adobe which was supposed to make things better!! has only made it worse. Again.
Hi, when i write to any data field with jpegs in Bridge there is a data writing error but raw files are writing ok.
Good evening!Despite my system meets all the requirements wrote down by Adobe (https://helpx.adobe.com/br/photoshop/kb/photoshop-cc-gpu-card-faq.html), Adobe Bridge 11.0 does not uses a single bit of my GPU resources (Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti, with 4 Gb of memory, DDR5), opening Adobe Camera Raw 13.1. and so does Abobe Photoshop 22.1. Otherwise, the latest version of Lightroom Classic, Adobe Bridge 10.1.1 and Adobe Photoshop 21.2.4 makes full use of my GPU when opening the same Adobe Camera Raw 13.1. and I do have a very acceptable performance opening Nikon's D850 and Nikon's D810 raw files.I think that it is relatively simple, a programing task, to Adobe solve this compatibility issue (or bug), on an up next update.A Nvidia GTX 1080, with 8 Gb of memory, that problably can solve my problem, costs on Amazon.com.br, about US$ 800,00 (approximately 4,200 BRL$). It's a lot of money for a not so great improvement of CC 2021 over CC 2020.My Destop Hardware Specs:O.S.: Windows 10, release 2004Syst
Since installing Bridge 2021, the CPU usage appears to rocket when I first launch Bridge. You can even hear the fans on my PC getting louder when its in use. I've found if you close it down and relaunch it, the CPU use reduces considerably. This didn't happen on the older versions. Anyone having the same issue? FYI my PC specs are:W10 ProIntel i5-9400F 2.90GHz32gb RAM
mac更新系统后br黑屏,但是可以响应操作,有人知道是系统的原因还是?
beta tested big sur all adobe worked until last adobe update/mac update frez mac
When I open up bridge version 11 and look at my photos I get high CPU Usage. Has anyone else expeirenced this and do they have any solutions
The way the review mode works is that the down-arrow key drops them out of the selection -- and when you Esc out of that, they are no longer selected. I understand that need, but in my case -- I would like the opposite. I would like to have an option for up-arrow key (or to change a setting for the way the down-arrow key works) -- where the ones I drop out of the list are the ones I want selected when Esc out. I realize that I can just drop the ones I don't want and then the ones that I do want -- would be selected. The problem is that in my particular need right now -- it would be much more efficient to drop the ones I actually want. Is there any way to do this -- or is it a feature I would have to request for the future? Thank you for your time and any suggestions you may have.
I just had some sort of glitch in bridge. It now won't display my raw files AND it changed my file types. I am a Nikon user and my files always load as NEF now the file sin bridge show as DNG. Hi guys,I just install the Adobe Bridge 2020 on my new Dell XPS 15 laptop (Windows 10 - Pro 64bit) with 16GB RAM and Nvidia RTX1650 Ti video card. When I'm trying to use BR to view my video files (*.mov and *.MP4), the entire software is freezed. Cannot do anything except for end the session in windows task manager. Anybody got similar problem and cna offer a solution? Thanks a lot.
I'm using Bridge CC 2019 v 9.0.2.219 on a iMac (retina 4k, 21.5 inch, Late 2015) running MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.2andthe same version of Bridge CC on a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) running MacOS Mojave Version 10.14.3With both computers, Bridge does not display thumbnails for video files - just the application icon. This makes Bridge fairly useless to me. Is there a solution to this problem??File types impacted are:.mov.m4a.mp4.m4v.mkvI have tried purging the cache, restarting, etc. Please help if you can! I want to be able to sort all of my video files across multiple folders by date and be able to see what they are by the thumbnail.Thanks.
I have (through my own laziness) created too many "dump" folders of images and I'd like to organise them into a series of subfolders ("0-1", "2-3", "4-5"... "A-B", "C-D", "E-F"...) obviously doing this manually will take an age as there are several thousand images to sort and file away. I have found that going View>Sort>filename doesn't always group filenames as expected, slowing me down further. I'm a total novice when it comes to scripting, which seems like the most logical approach at this point, can anyone offer up any help? Thanks in advace.
Does anyone know of a way to create a new Keyword list using previously tagged photos??I am just recovering from a catastrophic full system failure. All my photo files where on another Cloud HDD.Is there a way to recover all the keywords off those files and bring them into Bridge 2019.I utilize Windows 10 OS.I have reinstalled all my CC programs. Bridge can see all the previously applied keywords. However I don't have a text file to import from and Adobe clearly does not have an option for creating a new list by importing the info already added to the individual files.I'm not all that computer savvy about outside programs that may be able to strip that info and then create a text file to be able to import it.Anyone that can lend some great step by step procedures on how to, or even if it is possible would be greatly appreciated.ShamusJN
