Bridge

Hello!I love Bridge and use it every day. Is there a way to permanently lock the sort feature in Bridge, making it impossible for it to change itself unless I change it from the dropdown menu? Specifically, I want to disable Bridge's ability to auto-change the sort to 'Manually'. Here is an example: If I grab a file to drag and drop to a new folder or an external program like Illustrator but realize I grabbed the wrong file. If I don't let go of that file in the exact right position, Bridge automatically assumes I would like to reorder my folder and changes the sort to 'Manually.'  I just don't like how it automaticly changes and would prefer it to only change from my direct input. Thank you for your help!

The path bar on the Mac version is just black unless you click into it. If you didn't know to click on it you'd never know it's somewhere you can type/copy/paste. Nothing draws your attention to the fact that it's something that can be edited. Can you make the box have the blue border all the time, or make the background a lighter color so that it makes users think "I can edit this"? Thanks.

Bonjour, je ne comprends pas pourquoi lorsque je renomme un mot-clé parent avec Adobe Bridge il me cré un doublon Parent avec tous les sous mots-clés mais non coché. J'ai remarqué que si je renomme le mot-clé parent alors que rien n'est coché dans les sous mots-clés ça fonctionne... Dans l'exemple j'ai voulu renommer Thème par THEMATIQE puis par THEMATIQUE (j'avais oublié le u). Dans Lightroom le panneau mot-clé est tellement plus efficace je ne comprends pas pourquoi adobe Bridge ne s'en inspire pas...     

I have a library, I think, that is called "gallery" ,  I cannot find a way to locate that library on my PC.  How do I find it.  Plus, is there a way to show the complete path to a photo on the screen.   I am using BRIDGE

I have noticed a problem for several years that when I download photos from my Nikon cameras (D7200 and D850) two images are downloaded for each one.  I have checked the storage on the camera and there are only single images, so the Photo Downloader is responsbile for downloading double images.  I use the software to download images from my DJI drone and only single images are downloaded.  I've seen that this is a known problem for years.  When are you going to fix it?

I've received a folder of 30,000+ photos in dozens of subfolders. I want to use Adobe Bridge to capture a list of all keywords (and only those) already assigned to this photo collection for archival purposes and future information augmentation. How do I do that in Bridge without resorting to other tools?

I've searched for hours for a remedy to my problem with this.Just opening photos in bride or even photoshop to batch process Raw images to jpegs, no adjustments, all i'm doing is trying to resize.In Bridge, the file preview won't load fully, and lets say maybe 50-100 images from a 700 image session just don't load. I used two cards and shot redundant, ssme issue on both brand new formatted before session cards.Can't open the raw file in paint, can't change the extension, just can't do anything. And my client looking for photos from a particular part of our session is getting antsy.Attached is a few of of about 100 straight that won't work.Hopefully I can find some help. Camera is a Sony A7IV

How to add words in the description field on multiple selected photos without deleting previously inserted parts

What is meant by this line?  Can we just have keywords as one of the filters?

Once I select a second keyword, it removes the first keyword.  Each time I select a new keyword, it removes the previously selected keyword.  The only way around this is to click on a new photo/video and then click back on the file that I am working on.  If I want to add 10 keywords I need to do this process 10 times.  

In Adobe Bridge I use a META data field called 'IPTC Core Description'. I use this because I store unlimited text.I need to include this field in my search criteria but the field is not listed. How can I use find and include  'IPTC Core Description' .I do not want to use 'search all metadata' as this picks up to many other fields and confuses the search.

Not seeing the Auto-Layout option for Bridge 2025.Only Horizontal or Vertical are available and one has to be on.It's not letting me check or uncheck both options. Running Mac OS 15.1.1 on Macbook Pro

I used to use an action to resize and change a NEF to jpg. This consumes Photoshop when working on 3000+ images. I recently discovered Workflow in Bridge but I receive the error "Destination cannot write", but on checking the folder, it is not write protected. It works OK when the original file is a jpg.I'm using Beta Bridge 13.0.2.630.

Hi,I am using the latest version of Bridge (CC) and would like to export a list of selected files, including Keywords, Rating, and File Location if possible.In a previous version of Bridge, I had used a script to do this. However, since then it seems that this functionality has been discontinued. Is there any way to do what I want in this "Professional" software that we are paying so much for? 

I've seen solutions for this for Mac in this community forum but not PC. Bridge will see the drive but when you click the arrow to expand, nothing happens. Tried restarting, resetting preferences, nothing fixes it. The drive is accessible from Windows Explorere just fine. Thanks if you have solved this for the answer. 

Hi.  I'll say first that I've found the Downloader to be quite inconsistant, even cantankerous over time.  It's hit or miss and has to be in the right mood to function.  For the past 3 weeks the Downloader has failed to detect my iPhone 14 pro.  I've refreshed the device list;  uninstalled/reinstalled Bridge;  reset Br preferences;  I'm using the same cable and port as usual to connect to my PC, but I continue to get the same result:  "get photos from:  <none detected>;  no device found".  During the past few years I've been able to coax the Downloader to function, but this time, it seems, I can't, and this situation is interfereing badly with my work.  If anyone has a suggestion for getting around this obstacle, I'd be very interested to learn about it.  Thanks. 

Is Bridge included in the 20GB Photography Plan ??

I just lost basically a days work because of something my Macbook does that I have never experienced before. It’s a new M3 MAX with 36GB ram running Sonoma 14.4.1 I had 198 images in Adobes ACR. I had done extensive work on  about 100. Went to save out as tifs 74 files at which point it said Bridge run out of application memory and Bridge, which is where I send my raw files to camera raw from, was consuming 64GB memory. It then appeared to crash but just go to sleep and then asked me for my password with ACR no longer open and just the Bridge interface showing. I have had the application warning about 4 times since I bought the laptop and had taken to making sure that no other apps were open although Chrome browser was and email. This never happened on my trash can Mac although it does have 64GB of ram but more importantly it never ever happened on my 2015 Macbook pro which only has 16GB ram! I have spent years sending sometimes 500 or more files to camera  raw and never

When trying to enlarge a photo, the zoom area does not display correctly, see attached. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!

I UPDATED CREATIVE CLOUD A FEW DAYS AGO. BRIDGE WON'T OPEN. MESSAGE SAYS, "BRIDGE 2024 IS DAMAGED AND CAN'T BE OPENED". A SECOND MESSAGE SAYS, "THIS APP WAS DOWNLOADED ON AN UNKOWN DATE". HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM?

Why does Bridge jump to the bottom of the window after renaming a batch? It is confusing and distracting to stop and locate the newly renamed photographs, especially when there is a large batch. The view options are set to sort by Date Created. Does Bridge take it upon itself to reset the view options to something—who knows what—so they end up at the bottom of the window? Please fix this, as this multi-automatic unwanted action occurs repeatedly while renaming batch photographs.
