What have Adobe done.Bridge CC 2018 was fine. Worked well. Now CC2019 has come along.Image labels have changed - RubbishBackground colours changed - rubbishImage previews are not sharp - rubbishUsed to be able to accent colour in the Essentials/Output tabs and Keywords. Can't now - rubbishUsed to be able to adjust the size of the thumbnail with a gradual slider to suit individual preference. Now it jumps up in stages. Can't control the slider size. - Rubbish
Like in title, bridge chcnaged file types after files renames. Can i this reverse? Now i see adobe bridge doc ( in mac exec), but no as a photos....
Running CS6 Extended and Bridge CC 2019. Can't open a jpeg file in Bridge file to CS6. Click on a jpeg file would open in a jpeg viewer. In Bridge's preferences File Type Associations, the option fields all have "none". If I browse and select CS6's .exe as the association, Bridge would ask me to close an existing CS6 window and open another one. It is a mess. Please help.
Hi All,Just starting to use Bridge, and I have both AE 2018 & 2019 installed, but when I choose to place in 2018, it opens 2019 - even if 2018 is already open. Dragging works, but is slower, so I was wondering if I'm missing a setting somewhere? (Both 2018 and 2019 are options in the drop down, when right clicking). Also, this happens in Br CC2018 as well. Thanks for any help.
after completion, it comes up with a message 'unable to process' all the files? works fine with cc2018 though. It is as though CC2019 trying to open every image and then does not save and close it. Which means after 12gig of memory it crashes.
I am trying to make .pdf contacts in Bridge and it keeps changing the color to too red. I have everything synced and all the color settings are correct. It didn't use to do this until we had to reload everything. It would get the color really close.
Hi,When using Bridge, I don't want to see non image files in the browser, especially the various sidecar files that may reside in the same folder as the images. I'm aware of the different filtering and searching capabilities of Bridge but they are not sticky. I couldn't imagine that the software was unable to automatically filter out non image files.Did I miss something ?
iMac running Mojave 10.14.1.This just happened; the File dialog box now shows both "Open" and "Open in Camera Raw" are both greyed out. I can only do "Open Recent". Is there a fix for this? I used to be able to go to my Photos library, look at my Raw files, select them, and edit them. This just stopped.
Is this a lost cause. Just wondering. Because I have tried this several different ways and have been unsuccessful.var myIDinfo = new Window("palette", "Imaging_Tool_1.2b");// var applyGFX = myIDinfo.graphics;// var applyGFX_bgColor = applyGFX.newPen(applyGFX.BrushType.SOLID_COLOR, [0, 1, 0], 1);myIDinfo.graphics.backgroundColor = myIDinfo.graphics.newBrush(myIDinfo.graphics.BrushType.SOLID_COLOR, [0.9, 0.7, 0.7], 1);
I cannot find out how to set up Bridge so that it shows what I want.I want it to look like this + have a big picture in the rigth column and having metadata beneath thatAnd I want the small pictures biggerCan someone help meThanks
CC 16 and 17 installed successfully except Bridge CC does not appear in the "open with" list. Bridge CS 6 is still listed. (Windows 7, current updates).I have searched the registry and most entries point to CC 17, a couple still point to CS 6.I want to leave CS6 installed but have access to CC 17 versions. What needs changing, and where? Please reply to [personal info deleted by mod, forum policy]replies are given here on the forum, for others to see with the same problem.ThanksRichard James
Good day, when using bridge, If I try to see the actual size in the preview windows (you click on the image and it zooms in on a certain area), I have to wait 5-10 seconds for the image to load. Until then, it looks pixelated. The actual previews (via spacebar) do not have the same behavior.is there anything I can do so that I can zoom in immediately rather having to wait?thank you
I just came back from overseas and downloaded on CC all the new updates. One of which was Bridge. I now have two versions, 8 and 9 (Bridge CC 2019?). But I can't seem to find any of my keywords showing on version 8. Do we have to import them somehow into the newer version?
Hi,so far I have thought I can select (in this case) all 3 thumbnails and Bridge applies my changes to all of these photos. But Bridge applies them only to the first two pictures = to the selected photo and not to the third one, too?Or is something wrong? It's the first time I see or recognize this behaviour...thanks!carlos
After applying the latest update from creative cloud and installing cc 2019 versions. Bridge CC 2019 will not load. Appears briefly and then disappears. Anyone else had this problem?
I have the same issue as the poster here: Keywords fail to write to fileKeywords fail to write to file I select several photos, apply a few keywords, but they get applied only to a few of the files I have selected. It seems to work better if I don't try to scroll away from the keyword and wait patiently for one keyword to apply before I try to select the next one, but I haven't found a definite pattern. Like the other poster, I am able to add the keyword to all files in the end, by clicking the keyword another one or two times, but that's no way to work. This problem started with the recent update.I tried the startup script given in the other thread, it had no obvious effect.
I am trying to import photos from my iPhone using Bridge. When I select Get Photos from Camera, Get Photos from iPhone, the Photo Downloader dialog preview show only 63 photos.I also tried to import the photos using Lightroom and receive the same results. I have more than 63 photos on my iPhone. I have confirmed the higher count using the iPhone and using my iCloud account. What might be causing the discrepancy?I do want to import the other photos on the iPhone, what thoughts, suggestions, or guidance would you provide to import the other photos? Thank you for your time and help.I really appreciate the help!
Hallo!Habe ein Upgrade auf alle Produkte gemacht. möchte nun die Bibliothek, Bilder (Bridge CC) in das andere Produkt (Bridge CC) verschieben. Ist das möglich?Gruß Franz
Lately, as I've been using Bridge, I've received a message that states: "Bridge encountered a problem and is unable to read the cache. Please try purging the central cache in Cache Preferences to correct the situation." From what I've researched, purging the cache seems like a safe option, but I'm relatively new to Bridge, and I'm just not clear on what purging the cache does. I just want to make sure that I'll still have all of my images to work with and that nothing will be erased. Any help is appreciated!
I've just started trying to determine if this can work for us for managing thousands of image files...so far not so great. Why does Bridge always have to rebuild the criteria upon being opened?? Shouldn't this information be in cache??
As per the title - since updating Bridge to 2019, when I click on the Output module (next to Workspace 1) nothing happens i.e it doesn't open the module so I can't create a contact sheet. I have in the past had to load an AOM separately but I cant see if this is still relevant to the 2019 edition?regardsColin
After starting the new 2019 Bridge; after all the photo thumbnails appear and all suddenly go darker. I can open them in Photoshop and they look normal but in Bridge they are substantially darker. In the old version, Bridge 2018, the same folder doesn't do that. No matter what folder Bridge 2019 opens with the thumbnails snap to darker photos after opening. Bridge 2018 doesn't do this.I removed the new version Bridge 2019 and reloaded it. Did not help. Anybody else having this problem? How do I fix this? Sure makes it hard to review photos and select the ones that need work in Photoshop.
Hi,I have Windows 10 and Adobe CS4 Production Premium.A while a go (few months) I was using Bridge to search for something when it suddenly stopped working. I did something else and then tried to reopen Bridge, but the icon was no longer on my desktop. When I looked in Program files I discovered that Bridge.exe had also vanished. Now I'm currently working on some video editing, so I can't re-install the entire suite of programs (don't have a spare week to reinstall). Will I HAVE to reinstall the whole thing just to get Bridge back?Or is there another way? Thanks for your time,Fran
The file C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Bridge\Cache\v36\data\store is a SQLite database. It contains file paths for directories on my "C" drive and one of the external disks. I think it has names for every directory. Why does Bridge need that info?
I needed to update from Photoshop CS6 to CC so I could view my Nikon Z7 files. So now I find that my metadata extractor doesn't work with the CC Photoshop, only CS6. A forum member was kind enough to create that for me, so that my categories such as species, subject, headline, date, location, city, state, country, etc could be extracted into a text file that I could then be imported into MSWorks database, modified and refined to then import into my MSAccess database, where I keep all the info from all my images. This saved me from re-eintering all the image data of thousands of images, in all these fields by hand. This is why I hate forced updates that ruin my smoothly working workflow.
