Hello,in Adobe Bridge CC (2017 and 2018 versions) folders view hidden system directories are visible in macOS High Sierra 10.13.3 (I think also in 10.13.2). The hidden folders are in the macOS root directory: "private", "Network", "usr", "sbin", "cores", "bin" normally these folders are not visible. Not a big deal, more or less a cosmetic bug. Does anyone know a solution or do we have to wait for a new Adobe Bridge CC update? I guess version 2017 is not updated anymore? Too bad, because of the degraded file info panel (e.g. no autofill anymore) in Bridge CC 2018 I stay on version 2017.I am thankful for any thoughts or suggestions ... thx!
Hello Adobe Friends!!! So as I am working on Adobe Bridge CS3 on a new Windows 10 Desktop operating system when all of a sudden a window pops up indicating "Adobe Bridge has stopped working" and needs to shut down and then bridge shuts down. This is happening pretty persistently. So annoying! Any ideas or help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
I loaded Bridge CC to my PC and it was great - all worked fine. I just changed to a new PC and similarly downloaded Bridge CC but now cannot amend any metadata because it says its in Read Only Mode.I looked at previous posts on this subject and it refers to a button to change to a live mode but I cannot find any such button. Can anyone advise what I need to do please. The software is great and I really want to continue to use it.ThanksRon
Hi there, previously in Bridge I was able to right click and open PDFs in Illustrator at will, but this option is missing from Bridge now, instead only showing Acrobat and PhotoShop. I'd really like to have this option again, but can't see any method to. I've tried changing the file type association in Bridge preferences, but that means that PDFs obviously no longer open in Acrobat by default, which they should. Changing Explorer file type preferences does nothing to add to the 'Open With' list, either.I'd just drag the PDFs into Illustrator, but they're placed rather than opened so this isn't an option.
Hi All,I am trying to be short.I use an online image cataloging software, which reads keywords from the images uploaded to it, and then displays the keywords. I am Hungarian, so I use Hungarian characters, like ő or ö for example. These accented characters get somehow incorrectly encoded after running through my Adobe workflow.I start with a raw file. I type the keyword "Enteriör" into the keyword field, then export the raw file (through Image Processor) into a .jpg, which I upload to my system. The keyword will look like this: EnteriörIf I first export the raw file into a .jpg, then enter the same keyword, the uploaded keyword will display correctly: EnteriörWhere could this go wrong?I have a couple of colleagues, two of us are expereiencing this problem, for the rest of us everything works fine.I have not found anything on the whole internet about how the characters of the different IPTC fields are encoded. The problem seems to only affect the keyword field, as the same word written
HelloMy System is Windows 7 / 64Bit.I update Photoshop CC from 2017 Version to 2018 Version succsessful, and Photoshop CC 2018 is running. At least I update Bridge CC from 2017 Version to 2018 Version - no error message during the update. But when I want to start the Brigde, I got the error message:Procedure entrance point "_crtCreateSymbolicLinkW" in DLL "MSVCR110.dll" not found, and Bridge doesn't start. Can somebody help me?Kind regardsNorbert Walk
I'm trying to build a script in ExtendScript Toolkit CC that will modify the date metadata for files in Bridge. I'm using "var d = new XMPDateTime(new Date())" to get the full date value. How can I removed the seconds in the value and get this value instead --> YYYY MM DD HM. I've searched the Adobe site and forums and could not find an answer.
After a hard drive crash, I had to redownload Adobe Bridge. I am in OSx 10.12.3. Now my arrows keys do not work to move from image to image, I cannot delete without dragging an image to the trash and I can't batch rename. I've basically lost so much of the functionality of Bridge. Any clues as to what is going on??

HiPlease help me regarding searching files from windows server through the keyword using macintosh workstation systems, We want to use Adobe Bridge CC application for searching data archival using keywords. For this I have implemented following steps :I have created & shared a folder in windows 2008 Standard Server & copied some CCT Files which contains (Eg. Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Jpeg, & other designer files) In that folder I have selected 6-8 files and assigned keywords like soaps, flower etc. After that I installed Adobe Bridge in 2-3 Imac's and add the shared folder from Windows 2008 Server into all 3 imacs & tried searching the files using the key word called soaps, flower etc but I am unable to find the files with keywords assigned as soaps, flowers etc. Instead I tried opening the folder in which the files were there in one imac workstation system & I again tried searching this time I am able to see all the files wit
Hi.So I have a few questions. at least one, I think, might be a Photoshop questionI've started to explore Bridge's tool>photoshop>image processor. What I want is for the processed images to be put in the "same folder" folder they come from & ideally overwrite the original images.Problem is whatever of the two options I choose for a destination, a sub-folder is created and the processed images are put there.Q 1) Is there a way to not have the sub-folder created? Also, when moving the new processed images up into the parent folder where the original images are, the original images are not overwritteneven though the file names & types are exactly the same. This is actually also a problem when I save manually from Photoshop. Files don't get overwritten unless I select the file directly. For example:if I open a jpeg, resize it & then save it in the same folder with the same exact name/ext it creates a duplicate file with the exac
I have the latest version of bridge and I am unable to get the search facility to work for keywords. It was ok in the past.
I have installed the latest built of Photoshop, Camera Raw, Bridge and Lightroom.Although it is stated on the Adobe web site (Appareils photo pris en charge par Camera Raw ) that the Sigma DP1 is supported, it still fails to preview and open the X3F files with all of the above mentioned apps.
Last year there was a discussion on installing CC which could only go on root drive, others can be installed on another drive. I have found that when Bridge and Photoshop are installed on a different drive, opening files in bridge give a fault message that 'Photoshop cannot be found on the root drive'. Is there a simple fix for this problem or does one have to live with this problem and open all files using Ctrl R and the close them into Photoshop. Not a good way of working for a high tech application.
I have used the Keywords metadata to enter paragraphs of details on each of many images, the details are unique to each image. Probably not the right way to use it, but a lot of valuable work already done. I work with people who do not have Bridge and I want to share these images with them, along with their embedded keywords. In windows explorer the keywords can be read in the Tags column, BUT only up to a certain number of characters, then the rest of the kewords data are lost. Can anyone suggest a means by which I could get this data out of Bridge and into a metadata format that could be accessed by anyone using a Windows or Mac computer?Thank you in advance!
Working on a Late 2015 iMac running High Sierra 10.13.2. For the last month, I've had a reoccurring issue where Bridge will suddenly freeze and go into "not responding" mode. After realizing that Bridge is frozen, if I click back into Illustrator or Photoshop those apps immediately give me the spinning wheel as well and go into "not responding" mode. After force closing the apps, trying to reopen results in the icon bouncing on the dock but nothing happens. I found a thread from a few years ago recommending to completely uninstall all CC apps, and the CC app itself to clear preferences. I did that, ran the Adobe cleaner tool to completely remove everything, and then reinstalled... And it's STILL happening! The only way to get things back up and running is to restart my system completely. Not something I can afford to be doing every day in on a professional design setup. Any help is appreciated!
Updating Bridge from 2015 > 2017 without updating all other CC software evenly causes Photoshop/Illustrator automation menus ("Tools > Photoshop/Illustrator") to disappear. While this has been documented in other threads (referenced below), the proposed solution is not viable because a number of plugins required in my workflow have not been updated for CC2017 and thus I cannot update to all CC2017 apps across the board (that includes PS for now).It is my hope that the links can be re-established manually. Anyone know it it's possible to take profiles or scripts from CC2015 and copy them over CC2017 files? The concept of Creative Cloud only supporting menus from other apps of the same series revision is not just silly...it's foolhardy and goes against the fundamental concept of CC -- which was to lessen app versioning and compatibility problems...Thanks at least for the ability to rollback!Other references:Photoshop Tools (Image Processor) disappeared from Bridge 2017 | Photoshop F
A week or so ago Adobe Bridge suddenly came up with a message 'unable to read the cache' and froze. I have not been able to use since. I have to select another app to get out of it then Force Quit.
I've tried to use Creative Cloud to update bridge. I get the error below. I downloaded the dmg file and it gets the same error. The suggestions on the Error 146 Troubleshooting page do not work. What do I do?146-------------------------------------- Summary -------------------------------------- - 2 fatal error(s), 0 error(s), 1 warnings(s) FATAL: Error (Code = 146) executing in command 'MoveDirectoryCommand' for package: 'AdobeBridge8.0-mul', version:8.0.1.282FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: AdobeBridge8.0-mul Version: 8.0.1.282). Please help! After editing photos in Photoshop I am suddenly unable to export them. From adobe bridge I will right click a photo icon, then select export to, then select hard drive and nothing will happen. The same happens if I use File-export to- hard drive. I have never had this happen. In the past I would batch select an entire folder and export it to the hard drive and adobe bridge would automatically convert the files to jpeg. How do I fix this. The only way around this is opening each file in photoshop and saving it as a copy on the desktop while selecting for it to be converted to jpeg. That is not a real solution though because I have hundreds of photos to export. Any insight would be so much appreciated.
Is there any way to see Image Size from within Bridge. I know that you can see it if you open the file in Photoshop, but I don't want to have to do that for each image just to see the image size. It is not an option to have it listed in the metadata as far as I can see. You can list resolution, file size and dimensions, but not image size. I want to use Bridge to upload images to Adobe Stock, but there is a 4MP minimum image size requirement. I have no way of finding the image size easily. (I could calculate it from the dimensions in pixels multiplied by the number of channels, I think, but I'm not exactly sure -- plus I don't want to have to do math!)
When viewing a PDF, how do I make the image in the preview tab fill the space? I recently updated to bridge 2018 and this was not an issue prior to the update. BTW a photo will fill the screen but a pdf will not. I am viewing high res pdf files.
I've grown very tired of this STILL being an issue. Why can't, no wait, you've done that already; instead, please make metadata update from LR to Bridge and Bridge to LR!! Enough already, just make it happen.
