I upgraded my version of Bridge CC to cc version 2017. When I click on the icon it starts for about 1 to2 seconds and then shuts itself off. I have a iMac running OSX Sierra. I tried to reset the preferences to no avail. the version I upgraded from was Bridge CC2015. This issue initially started when I tried to install the output module for bridge CC 2017.
Using Window 7, with CC17 - everything seems up to date.I am using Bridge's batch rename to rename mov clips. When I select all of the clips in the folder and perform a batch rename one clip is left off. This happens repeatedly on multiple different folders of movs I've tried. While I can easily rename the single missed file it is now out of order in the name's sequenial listing. I have double and triple checked that all the files are selected when I perform the batch rename.Any ideas or advice?thanks, jeff
When I select and double click a group of *.NEF files in Bridge CC (2017) I get the following popup message: Metadata write operations pending. If you continue and apply Camera Raw settings, they may be overwritten by pending metadata write operation. Not sure what this message means, but if I continue there appears to be no problem. Any info on this would be appreciated.
We are having the issue with not being able to see our Camera Raw files in bridge. They do open in photo shop, but the files are not visible in bridge. We are currently updated with the latest bridge as well as camera raw settings.Camera raw file is from the Canon 5D Mark 4.We also tried to clear the history in bridge, including the cache.Any Suggestions?
I have both the Creative Suite 6, and Photoshop CC on my computer. When I use the "Load files into Photoshop Layers" tool in Bridge CS6, it loads my TIFF files into layers in Photoshop CS6, but I'd like it to load those layers in Photoshop CC instead. How do I accomplish this? In Preferences, I have the File Type Associations for TIFFs set to Photoshop CC 2017.
Hello! I can label and star rate every file on my hard drive except the audio files from a number of sfx libraries I got from different websites. Neither hotkeys nor label menu or rating column work. What is that? Some bridge settings or some kind of embedded protection these audio files may have? Thanks for your time.
If you close out Bridge while you have Raw files converting, the dialog box of the conversion remains open. Is there a way to re-open Bridge while the conversion is still happening? Thank you
I just installed Photoshop with Bridge for a week's free trial. Before I consider purchasing it, however, I'd like to know if there are any features to remove print (specifically, type) from a photo in my pictures folder. I am having a hard time trying to figure out how to do that. Please tell me how to do that. Thanks.
Hey there,So I am very unfamiliar with Adobe Bridge. I have read up on it and I understand that it allows for a more efficient way of organizing, naming, and cataloging photos and other digital assets. The thing I wanted to know was are the tags and labels you apply to files on Bridge universal? So if you were to upload an image that was handled on Bridge onto Flickr, Barberstock, or some other photography platform, would the image's information and metadata be retained? Thank you.
Hi BR forumI can only set up 21 favorite posts/items in Favorite panel in Bridge CC - I have tried to reset preferences but to no avail. Is there anyway I can get more than 21 items in Favorite panel...?
I was working on a batch of photos in Adobe Bridge when I accidentally hit my hard drive cord, which lost the connection for a second. When I went to hit 'Done' a message box came up that said that the files couldn't be found, and all of my edit work was lost. At least everything since the last time I hit 'Done'. It was two hours of work and hundreds of photos that I had to redo. I spent awhile searching for some kind of autosave or recovery option but none seems to exist. Am I missing something? Is there a way to have an autosave on like there is in Premiere so that if something happens, the work will be saved as I go? Or is there a way to recover that data so I don't have to redo it all? I can't seem to find an answer to this. If someone could help me, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks,- R
In the Bridge select The image to include in the contact sheet then choose Window ,Workspace, Output The Bridge I am using dose not have the Output where can I go to access it
After an update 2 weeks ago to Bridge CC (2017) I've not been able to open or use the program. I also attempted to add on the output setting for creating pdfs - perhaps this is an issue? Please help. It might be my most used program (I'm a photo editor) and I can't figure anything out.
I am using Adobe Bridge 2017 on a Mac. What does the New Window command do?I thought it created a new window to import photos in but it didn't seem to do anything form my vantage point.Where should I go to delete these new windows? Thanks[Moved from the non-technical Lounge Forum to the specific Program forum... Quite often when I select a directory in Bridge I have to wait a minute or more for it to allow me to select a subdirectory. I have to wait for the program to show the thumbnails for everything in the selected directory. Needless to say, this causes huge wastes of time when all I want to do is get into a subdirectory. Is there a preference somehwere that tells Bridge to prioritize showing subdirectories (and, ideally, filenames) BEFORE generating thumbnail images? Such an option would be a tremendous speed-up for my workflow. If it matters, I'm on Windows 10. And I've had this same problem with both CS6 and the CC version of the Adobe suite on several different computers. Thanks, rgames
Bridge has been slow and freezer 8 out of 10 times this is after the last update
Hello,I would like to know if it is possible in Bridge to transform/export collections into "real" windows files?I explain : I have some photos that I'd like to put into differents files, without creating a duplicate each time, for example I have a head of Augustus, and I want it to be in an "Augustus" file + an alias in a "Museum name" file. This is exactly what Bridge does in Collections, but now I want to have access to the files in my windows documents and not ony in Bridge, to sum up to export/transform those collection into real windows files with alias inside... if it is possible!Thank you so much for your precious help!Paulineps. I'm using Bridge CC 2017
I work for a company that has yearly print ad campaigns. The InDesign ad files are provided to me by our parent company. All I have to do is resize the ads for each publication we advertise in. It adds up to several hundred ads of all different sizes each year. Each InDesign document is sized to the ad dimensions (as opposed to the ad layout being placed in the middle of an 8.5 x 11 InDesign page, for example). All of the ads are stored in one folder. When I have to do a new ad, I would like to be able to quickly see if I have already done an ad in the requested size or close to that size. It would greatly reduce or eliminate the time it takes to resize ads.I thought there would be a way in Bridge to quickly see the dimensions of each ad (in inches). In Bridge / Preferences / Thumbnails / Details, you can click the checkbox to show thumbnail metadata and select "Dimensions (in inches)", but it appears to only show dimensions for JPG files, not InDesign files. Same with Bridge's Metadata
everything is in the title, i can't manage to installe properly the pdf module on bridge CC 2017, the menu is present but totally empty, please, anyone could help me on that?Thank you!!!
I have no idea what I have done. I'm using Bridge to put together an InDesign project, and I had all my photos as thumbnails in View. Granted, I thought these old eyes would benefit from a larger size of thumbnail. However, while I was dragging a photo from Bridge to ID, I accidentally somehow got hold of the photo and made it way larger. Since I don't quite know what I did in the first place, I don't know how to make the preview photos smaller. I don't necessarily want them to be an inch or so high, as they were before, but I don't want them this big.See screenshot:
I've gotten started with some Bridge scripting and got kind of frustrated with the un-intuitive ways to fill out these metadata fields, so I went on a mission to create a helpful abstraction object to help me set the fields.I noticed that actually most of the solutions were using the external XMP lib object and dealt with manipulating the XMP from the string inside the image files, and the remainder were about the Bridge scripting commands to get the same data from the 'metadata' object which appears to be some kind of magical thing where by a namespace is set and then a key value can be retrieved so long as someone already knows the key ( which are all listed in the raw data, and by adding own text and finding it you can get all the fields, etc.).So, as the external lib method seems rather verbose, I decided to go with the metadata object of Bridge. Here's the object I made and it appears to be working. At least this works to set my few fields for now, is the method going to be a whole
Can anyone write something up for me? I will admit I cannot do it myself, I do not know Javascript.I need to add keywords and a description to 1000's of images. I have a text file formatted as such for each 100 images. The script would need to ask for an input file (or I can hardcode the path into the script) and then apply to the current folder of images shown in bridge.Text file example:1000 - Bright Sunset Over City. (sun;city;sky;mountain;) .1001 - Dawn Behind Mountain And Lake. (sun;mountain;water;sky;) .1002 - Bright Red Sunset, Light Edged Clouds. (sun;sky;tree;clouds;) .1003 - Tree Framing Sunset Over Bay. (tree;sun;lake;bay;) .1004 - Sun Behind Gull On Pilings. (seagull;sun;sea;pilings;) .images are named 1000.tif, 1001.tif, 1002.tif etcRunning on a Mac with CS3 and CS4.Thanks,Chris
Macbook Pro laptop, OS X El Capitan, 10.11.6After upgrading from CC 2015 to 2017 I had to reinstall three custom panels. The procedure is, Applications-> Adobe Bridge CC 2017-> Adobe Bridge CC 2017 .app-> Show package contents-> Contents-> Application Data-> Custom Info Panels-> 4.0-> Panels. In the Panels folder, I can see the custom panels are there. In each of the three folders I can see the files, manifest.xml, properties.xml, bin and loc. When I open Bridge and select Ctrl+I, only two of the custom panels appear. I attempted to install this panel a number of times. I even deleted all three custom panels and added them again, but for a reason unknown to me, this one particular panel will not show up. When I had CC 2015 installed, all three panels were visible. It was only after removing CC 2015 and installing CC 2017 that this problem began. It doesn't make sense why Bridge will not display that particular panel. Sure hope someone has the answer because I rea
When I open bridge and select some (amount doesn't matter) RAW pictures for editing in Camera RAW it works fine. After editing ('Done' in ACR) I return to Bridge and select a new set of pictures for editing.Opening in ACR then crashed Bridge and disables the 'Use Graphics Card' option. This is very annoying. If I close Bridge after every edit and restart, it all works fine! But that's not a good workaround by my opinion.Leaving the 'use graphic card' option off is slower and delays my workflow.Using CC2017. I updated my video card (Radeon R9 290) to the latest driver. My ACR is of the latest version. This started 2 ACR version updates before. Therefore it was working fine all time.It looks like video RAM is not freed up for some reason (or cache). I can't get my hand on it.Can somebody help me with options or tips?
