I am sure you are well aware of the following problem, but I could not find a solution online and it does not seem to be fixed? When working with Arri Alexa Mini LF footage (ProRes/.mxf) there is a color shift when exporting in ProRes 4444 (trillions). I used the official sample footage from Arri: https://webgate.io/directlink/b043cddb9c4658e0 Clip: F003C003_190925_MN99.mxf I tried everything, different software versions, hardware accelerated decoding on/off, different computers, depth, premultiplied/straight... There seems to be a slightly different problem with Premiere as well. I think it might be a problem with how the file is interpreted by AE because it seems to help to re-encode in ProRes 4444 with DaVinci first. Also AE shows the file as millions of colors (if I understood correctly that means 8bit) what would be wrong in that case. The Arri Alexa series might be the most important cameras right now and it would be really important to hav

Frame in after effects Frame in Premiere Pro Frame in VLC media player This glitch/distortion also comes through on any render to any H264 codec. These are MXF files from a Canon camera, imported from my internal storage, not an external hard drive. Lumetri color and a warp stabilizer is on the AE footage, and when i turn off the stabilizer effect, it goes away on that frame, but shows up on another frame. On a different piece of footage, the warp stabilizer appears to have no effect on which frame the glitch appears on: warp stabilizer on warp stabilizer off frame in VLC media player

After Effects is causing a memory leak. The problem started yesterday.I encountered a similar issue a few months back where Beta programs were the cause, I no longer have any Adobe Beta programs installed due to that issue.Starting in safe mode with 3rd party plug-ins and resetting preferences has made no difference.The issue starts once I open any project and continues until AE is terminated or crashes due to a lack of available RAM.I've updated the GPU driver and that has not fixed the issue.Windows 11 is also up-to-date.I'm working on a Windows 11 PC with the following build:Intel Core i9-12900K 3.2 GHz 16-Core ProcessorMSI MAG Z690 TOMAHAWK WIFI DDR4 ATX LGA1700 MotherboardGeForce RTX 3080 10GB LHR 10 GB Video Card64GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory I use Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign every day; none of these programs are having any issues.

Hi all,This is a problem that I have from day one. I have 3 displays conected directly in to 3 separate USB Type C connectors on a back side of my Mac Studio. Display properties shows always right order of screens, starting from left to right (1 left, 2 center (main display), 3 right).  But problem is that every time I restart my Mac output screen of Premiere or After Effects is placed on  left or right screen. If I open Video preview settings in AE or PP check box is on the same place that I have checked before but softvare changes monitor markings. Monitor that iss Adobe Monitor 2 now is showing preview on monitor 3. So every time I must start Preferences/Video preview and change monitor selection to get output on the same screen as before the restart. I have tried to deactivate "separate spaces" on other screens but that didnt help. Right now my settings looks like this: Can someone please help me out!?Thank's in advance

I have numerous green screen footage from .mxf files that are not being rendered. They appear in After Effects but not in the media encoder.  Any ideas?

Hello, one and all. First time poster. I am having some issues with After Effects and my iMac.I currently use two iMacs.One is at work, and the other is at home.The work one is the space grey model, and the one at home isn’t. I am having issues with the one at home.Every time I open After Effects, it completely crashes the Mac.No error message, nothing, black screen, total wipeout.I have to force shut down the machine and start again.I have projects that always open at work that will crash the home machine.I even tried scaling back one project as it’s quite large, but it still crashed the home machine.Even if I set up a new project, it will crash. I thought it might be the RAM, as when I first got this machine, there was only 8GB installed and my work one has 32GB so I updated the machine at home to 32 GB. After I had updated the RAM, I managed to open a project.Thinking I had fixed it, I opened another project, and it crashed again.I got a project to open in s

 I'm trying to run an ExtendScript (JSX) in Adobe After Effects 2024 using the command line option -r to execute the script. often encounter the problem that when I want to render from After Effects through Encoder, it doesn’t respond.•It opens, but the project for rendering doesn’t appear.•Or you drag and drop the project directly from AE, and it thinks for a while, then doesn’t respond anymore, or the project appears but when I hit render, it keeps thinking and says that such a project does not exist.•The same thing happens when I import the project directly into Encoder; it might say it can’t find it or, in general, the file I’m pointing to doesn’t load.I usually noticed that this can happen with large projects, with many compositions, or with effects like Posterize Time.

When using an OCIO config with file rules in place, it seems as though image sequences do not respect the file rules. For example, I've set EXR file types to come in as ACEScg. This works for single EXR files but not for EXR sequences.  This is what I have in the config for the file rules. As you can see, anything with EXR extension should be flagged for ACEScg while everything else will default to Raw.  file_rules: - !<Rule> {name: OpenEXR, extension: "exr", pattern: "*", colorspace: ACEScg} - !<Rule> {name: Default, colorspace: Raw} However, with this set, all EXR image sequences get missed and come in as Raw. Also, it's not just EXR sequences. I just did a test with PNG sequences and making a rule to interpret PNGs as "sRGB - Texture". Again, the single PNG comes in correctly while the PNG sequence gets missed and comes in as Raw. Since I can't attach the OCIO config or EXRs, you can recreate this by creating a custom version of the

After Effects 24.6.2 (Build 2) When a layer is deleted, the Effects Control panel displays the effects of another layer in the composition, even though that layer is not selected in the composition.The expected behavior would be for the Effects Control panel to be empty. Interestingly, the bug fixes itself after a while. Composition hierarchy:Null 3 --> Effect > SLIDER 3Null 2 --> Effect > SLIDER 2Null 1 --> Effect  > SLIDER 1 

I use After effect v24. Whenever i try to use 3D camera tracker and Warp Stabilizer, i get error: Unable to obtain dynamic link server. Please help me to solve this issues. 

I have recently noticed that the "Properties Panel" seems to be interfering with triggering FX Console. In AE 24.6.1, the biggest offenders are text layers, and to a lesser extent shape layers. Their properties panels seem to somehow impede the launch. Layers/assets with less parameters such as video/solids/art, seem to be fine.Currently the only solve, is to temporarily close the Properties Panel, and/or disable its use all together. Which is unfortunate, as the Properties Panel is great!Additional Info: I've tried on (2) diff machines (Win10 & Win11) the latest AE Beta, and have similar results. AE23 works great! I've also sent an email to VideoCopilot, so hopefully something comes of that.MP4 screenshot should hopefully be attached for clarity.

Hi, I c'ant open AE anymore. I think i deleted a file on my computer trying to make storage room available and now it's stuck. Everytime I want to open it, it says alert :  MEE_Plugins> <5> /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore And then can't open After effect following that...

Since 2-3 days I'm facing alot of crash. Is it with other's as well or there's some problem with my laptop? 

Hello, I have encountered a very odd issue where my main composition is unable to (0ms apparently) render a single frame and it appears black. When pressing space to playback, I receive the following error when pressed BEFORE the missing frame OR during export: After Effects error: bad checkout ID passed to checkout_layer_pixels (25 : 244). This happens on both 2023 (ran on rosetta so I can select more choice of 3rd party plugins) and the converted proj file on 2024.  I am on a 16GB MBP M1, Sonoma 14.1.1. The suprising part here is that the frame is totally fine in my precomp. It runs smoothly and renders it, so something is unable to communicate that frame back to my composition, clearly. 

Hi everyone,I’ve been experiencing a frustrating issue with After Effects (version 24.6.1) on my Windows 10 PC,. The problem occurs when working with video files in a composition. The entire program becomes noticeably laggy and slow, especially when pausing, playing, or right-clicking on a video in the timeline. This lag also extends to the menus, such as Composition or Layer, where there’s a significant delay in response (sometimes even freezing for 1 minute). After spending hours trying to figure out what’s causing this, I discovered that the issue seems to be related to the video file itself. If I have a different media type selected, like images or another composition, the lag disappears. So, I concluded that having this particular video file selected triggers the performance issues. The problematic video was edited in After Effects and Premiere, then processed with Media Encoder. When I imported a similar video (edited and processed the same way), I didn’t encounter the

I just finished my project and 9 files are randomly missing. I replaced the files and it says "After efffects error: Could not read from source. Please check the settings and try again." It also says that the file I replace the missing file with is damaged or unsupported and it can't be imported. Please help. 

This issue has been around for ages. The value shown also shows Auto Leading as being selected even when it isn't. This issue MAY be brought about by Text Styling Expressions that affect Leading Values even in unrelated projects/comps.

I had been facing a very weird issues with after effects and premiere pro.my last project is made of one composition of a wide screen with just a few solid color shape in the background and some pictures of peoples and there name with mix of illustrator files and text layer. All of it precomped in a small composition with just a png picture of the stage.In the preview panel, everything play good, nothing looks weird. but when i export it, i get this glitching frames, looks like artifacts or a glitches ruining the pictures or the shapes during moving, even glitches appears on parts on the PNG that doesn't have any movement at all. Also it sometimes skips frames and jump forward in time. Similar problem has been happening with a different project, it's a dynamic link timeline imported from adobe premiere pro, with 1 minute of footages, edited on 1080p.i added some Ai logo layers and some text. also plays good inside after effects, but after rendering it, i found some glitches, with

Subject says it all--any time I open a CC program (I just use AE the most so I'm putting it here, since there doesn't appear to be an all-CC forum, but it happens with any program and/or CC desktop) for the first time after restarting my computer, I get a "The font LTC Goudy Oldstyle Pro Bold was added" notification. It only happens with this one font--any other Adobe font I use behaves normally. Why is this, and how can I make that stop? It's not harmful, just annoying and perplexing. I'm on a stout Windows 10 desktop PC with plenty of memory/RAM/GPU horsepower, running the latest CC programs (but this has been going on for a while, for the last few updates).

We are encouraged by the presence of the CreatorTool field in the embedded metadata that is visible by running the unix 'strings' command on the file, but have observed some disconcerting behavior in this area. Observed BehaviorWe were surprised to find that regardless of if the project file was created in After Effects 2022 (22.6) or After Effects 2023 (23.1), the value of the CreatorTool field is always 'Adobe Photoshop 23.2 (20220128.orig.527 28d5e1a) (Macintosh)'. Note that not only is the version incorrect, but the product itself is incorrect as well. If we save a copy of the project as an XML export (.aepx) the 'CreatorTool' and 'softwareAgent'
