I am using a MAC Studio M2 machine for video editing. Once I updated my OS to Sonoma 14.6.1 and Adobe Premiere to 24.6.1, I began having issues with importing video files. When I import a .MTS (AVCHD) video in Premiere Pro, there is an audio drift of approximately 20 seconds. I did not have any issues when the OS was Ventura 13.6 or an older version of Sonoma and Abobe Premiere was 24.2.1. I am not sure what the issue is at this point.
I have been having this issue when using Premiere Productions. I have found that occasionally certain Waveform clips will randomly have one of the media source channels unchecked (mono audio, seperate channel for each mic). So I have to click the clip, then manually recheck it again so I can hear the audio. It doesn't seem to be correlated to anything, and it happens very randomly. It is very annoying as sometimes I check the sequence, but when I go to export it, the channel has turned off again and there is no audio. I've tried clearing the media cache a few times, but it doesn't seem to help long-term. I also can't keep clearing the media cache as it takes a while to build it back up. This has been happening on all versions of Premiere 2025. I am currently on version 25.1. I am using a Mac with Sequoia.
Dear Adobe overlords & fellow war-torn editors,I’m at my wit’s end. Premiere Pro – that beautiful, chaotic beast – has once again pulled the rug out from under me. I’m on version 25.2.3, and suddenly the Export window has just… disappeared. Click it, nothing happens. Not a flicker. No error, no warning. Just dead silence. Like shouting into the Grand Canyon with a render queue. The only thing that still works is sending the sequence to Media Encoder – which feels like dragging a dead horse uphill when I just want a fast in-timeline export.Things I’ve tried, in a haze of caffeine and rage:• Restarting Premiere • Rebooting the entire machine• Resetting preferences (the digital equivalent of a rain dance)• Updating to the latest version (of course)This is not the first time something inexplicably breaks after an update. In fact, I’m starting to believe Premiere is less an editing software and more of a cosmic experiment in testing patience. No major system changes on my end – just
When I increase the coding settings from 4,2 to 5,1 - which is necessary to export UHD - the export seems to add HDR metadata that it otherwise doesn't do. When I watch it on my smartphone, the video is oversaturated. My PC displays it correctly and also the thumbnails on my phone are correct. Just the video is wrong. All else equal, 4,2 leads to a correct display. So it seems I am forced to export HD.The HDR10 checkbox is unchecked, export color space is Rec 709, NDR (Nits) is set to 100, Profile is High, I use hardware-encoding.My system:Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-14900K64,0 GB RAMRTX 4080Windows 11 Enterprise (Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22700.1077.0)
HelloI am trying to customize the subtitles of a premiere pro 2025 video project. However, all I can choose is the font type. There should be e.g. a slider for font size and several options, like e.g. to vary the line spacing. None of which is displayed - pls.s. screenshot. I have also tried to display the functions by trying all settings via View and Window. With no succes. Do I correctly assume that these functions no longer exist in 2025?
[adobe PP 2025, 4/23/2025]I created what was practically an photoslideshow in premiere pro with some video. Im used to renders going generally fast but not this one. The slide show was an hour long so I wasnt shocked it was taking some time, but after about 8 hours it only got half way. No error, no messages, I wasnt doing anything else on my computer, but it seemed like the rendering just straight up stopped. I paused it, waited 10 minutes and restarted it and it seemed to give it a bit more life, but still extremely slow, from the render preview it would move maybe 1 photo every 10~20 minutes. This was via both media encoder, and 'export media' from PP2025. Via export media after 24 minutes it just seemed to stop entirely. Eventually I got fed up and closed it, loaded the latest version of Adobe 2024 (thankfully still on my PC], and rendered it there in less than 40 minutes. In terms of what I was rending, again just photos and some videos that totaled 1 hr
After updating my premiere to version 25.2.3 it became very slow to generate peak files when importing files from the Panasonic camera from the stream folder with the .mts extension, it is taking a long time to load as a result of it having become slower to generate the peak files, this happened to me after this last update, before I imported my video files to edit they loaded super fast as there are many files imported at once I noticed that it became much slower in this last update I don't know if it is a bug but it became slower to load the files, I did not test it with other cameras because this week I only recorded with the Panasonic but almost certainly it will also be slow to load other cameras like the Sony with the .mxf extension.
Here's a video for Productions-based issue, maybe I'll post a better video example later.TL;DR In a Production, I brought a "Project-1" Clip into a "Project-2" Sequence, but can't paste the Lumetri Color effect from the Clip to the Source level in "Project 2". I can go back to "Project 1", apply Effect to the Source Clip in a Sequence, & it trickles throughout.1. Issue: In a regular Premiere Pro Project, I'm able to copy/paste an effect (like Lumetri Color) after adjusting at a "Clip Instance"-level to the "Source Clip"-level.HOWEVER, in a Premiere Pro Production, Cross-Project Media Referencing for Source Clip-level effects doesn't work across the board. I have to open the media in its Origin Project & apply Source Clip-level effects there (in a Sequence NATIVE to that Project) for it to trickle to the rest of clips throughout the Production.I'm unable to apply the Source Clip-level effect in a Project that doesn't have that media as an Origin.App: Premiere Pro 25.2.3 (Build 4
I am facing a peculiar issue with rendering in Adobe Premiere Pro after upgrading to a new system. My current specs are: CPU: Intel i5-13400FGPU: NVIDIA RTX 4060RAM: 16GB On my previous lower-spec laptop, although rendering took longer, I was able to successfully render projects that included a PNG logo as a watermark. However, on this new, more powerful system, I am unable to complete rendering when the PNG logo is included in the video project. When I remove the logo, rendering works perfectly fine.Additional Information: The PNG file size or resolution should not be an issue as the same logo worked without problems on my older laptop.I have tried other troubleshooting methods, but none have resolved this issue.I attached screenshots showing the error messages received during the rendering process. Questions: Could this be related to specific settings in Adobe Premiere Pro, NVIDIA GPU configurations, or BIOS adjustments?Has anyone faced similar issues with PN
Hello,I'm experiencing severe performance issues in Premiere Pro when working on a complex project on my PC. The project includes a 10-camera nested multicam sequence and 50 audio tracks. All proxy files are encoded in Apple ProRes Proxy.I’ve tested the project in both Premiere Pro 2023 and 2024, and the results are the same.My Playback is smooth, even in multicam view. However, editing is extremely slow — moving clips on the timeline, clicking, trimming, and other basic interactions have major delays. Proxies are active, and High Quality Playback is disabled. I tested the exact same project on a Mac, and the performance is significantly better. Timeline interactions are fast and responsive, so the issue seems to be related to PC performance or configuration, not the project or media itself. Ex: Moving a big chunk in my timeline: 68sec with PC. 30sec with MacWhat could be causing this lag on my PC?Are there known settings or optimizations specific to PC that could resolve this?&nbs
Dear Adobe Premiere Pro Team,I hope this message finds you well.I would like to report a bug I have encountered in Adobe Premiere Pro that significantly affects timeline playback performance.🐞 Issue Summary:When the Essential Graphics panel is open and set to the "Browse" tab, the timeline playhead lags and stutters during playback. The playback is not smooth, and the delay is noticeable. However, when I switch away from the "Browse" tab or close the Essential Graphics panel entirely, the playhead behaves smoothly and the timeline playback is restored to normal.🔍 My Assumption:I suspect this issue may be related to the way motion graphic templates are loaded or rendered in the "Browse" section. This might be causing performance degradation while the panel is active.💻 System Info:I have attached the following for your reference:A screenshot showing my system specificationsA screen recording demonstrating the issue in real time✅ Steps to Reproduce:Launch Adob

"undoStackIndex is not an option"Getting this alert in the Events window regularly since the 25.2.1 update. This alert is regular and random, so steps to reproduce it are hard to pinpoint.
In the latest version of Premiere Pro (25.2.1), the "Set Gain to:" value does not remember previously added gain anymore. To replicate: 1. Right-click on an audio-clip in the timeline and select "Audio Gain..."2. Enter any amount in the "Adjust Gain by:" option.3. Click "OK".4. Right-click on the same clip and select "Audio Gain..."5. The amount you previously entered in the "Adjust Gain by:" option should appear in the "Set Gain to:" option, but it doesn't. In previous versions, the gain dialogue box would remember previously added gain amounts. This is currently broken and makes it impossible to figure out if one has already added gain or not. This seems to be happening both on Mac and PC, though I personally have only tested it on Windows 10.
Hi, Folks. Am I the only one?Using a video that was recorded using OBS, then Remuxed to .mov, I tried Generative Extend for the first time. The video was of myself on camera sitting in my "office" at home. While the result was amazing, I did see a visible "pop" or change in video levels and chroma hue at the edit point. I was able to confirm the level changes using the Premiere Lumetri Scopes. Video levels increased about 5 IRE and Chroma shifted slightly towards magenta.Footage is 1920x1080 Full HD at 30p. Thank you,Bob K.
When I edit from a sequence of raw material opened in the source viewer and then opened in edit window to my master sequence all works fine. But when I make a duplicate of my master sequence the workflow is broken. Premiere pro cuts kind of the whole sequence B again in my master seqence and nothing from my source sequence. Also Premiere ignores my in and out markers in the master sequence.I always have to close all sequences and reopen them again to make the editing work again. That is a real pain, if you have opened many source sequences and you do duplicating your master sequence for backup reasons a lot.Premiere Version 25.1Steps to reproduce:- open one master seqeunce- open a sequence in source monitor and then open it with the wrench icon in edit window- mark in and out in the source sequence and cut in master sequence -> all is fine- then in the bin duplicate the master sequence (not renaming the opened master sequence)- now set in and out in the source sequence an
Hi, this is an extension of an issue I posted in a previous discussion.Since the previous bug was documented, the issue has developed. We have discovered that Canon C200 C-LOG 3 footage in the same project shifts in colour when opened on different Macs. We have three Macs used for post-production in our office (we are a video production company):1. An Intel iMac from 2019 (running Sequoia 15.3.2 and Premiere Pro 25.2.0 - Build 147)2. An Intel iMac from 2017 (running Ventura 13.7.4 and Premiere Pro 25.1.0 - Build 73)3. A 2023 M2Pro Mac Mini (running Ventura 13.7.4 and Premiere Pro 25.1.0 Build 73)We have created a test project containing one piece of C200 footage. All colour management other than 'Display Color Management' and 'Extended Dynamic Range' is off. The project is located on an edit server; we all opened the same project on each Mac and screenshot our waveform and program monitor (see screenshots). On both of the iMacs, the footage appears on timeline, displaying an identi
Issue SummaryThere is a specific compatibility issue in Premiere Pro (tested in both official release and Beta on Apple Silicon Macs) when using Apple ProRes 422 proxies for DJI 5K HEVC 10-bit footage.DetailsSource footage: DJI drone, 5K resolution (5472x3078), HEVC (H.265) 10-bit, D-Log profileProxy format: Apple ProRes 422 (QuickTime), generated at HALF resolution (2736x1539) or even standard 1920x1080Hardware: MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon (M4 Pro)Result: After proxy creation and activation, playback freezes entirely in Premiere Pro—even after full render (green bar).Same ProRes proxies play smoothly outside of Premiere (e.g. in QuickTime). In Windows, using the exact same source footage and ProRes proxy settings, Premiere handles playback perfectly. What works:Osmo Action 4K footage recorded in HEVC 10-bit D-Log works fine with ProRes 422 proxies, even at 1920x1080.DJI 5K footage also works perfectly when proxies are encoded as H.264 (at 2736x1538 or 1920x1080), even on Mac.Conclusi
When previewing timeline the sequence plays fine but then when I pausse it the preview goes black. Only happens on MPEG4 file. Have all the latest drivers installed. I dont have the option to change what hardware to use to render. I have an A770 Intel Arc graphics card. 1. Premiere Pro 252. Windows 11 workstation3. Import video file. Play then pause.4. Expected result is for the preview to not go black.
Steps to reproduce: In any other Creative Cloud software: 1. In the Window menu, click a deselected option. That window or panel opens in the software, and its entry in the Windows menu becomes checkmarked.2. In the Window menu, click a selected (checkmarked) option. That window or panel closes in the software, and the checkmark is removed from its entry in the menu.In Premiere Pro:1. In the Window menu, click a selected option.Expected: Like all other Creative Cloud software, the window/panel should close, and the checkmark next to its entry in the Window menu should disappear.Actual:The software performs a sort of "bring to front"/"highlight panel" behaviour. The panel remains checkmarked in the Window menu.Any time, in any software (Creative Cloud notwithstanding), if the user clicks on something with a checkmark next to it, the expected behaviour/established convention is for the item to become unchecked (and for its surrogate to disappear, close, or become
HI. I see this issue already happen in the 22 version, but, at least for me, i happening again. The color of the work area bar is the same as the color of the timeline wich make it invisible. What can we do?Thanks
When I use the text function on Premiere Pro and want to include emojis, the emoji is always higher than the rest of the text. It's never in-line (like when you send a text message). Is there a way to fix this and does anyone else have this issue? Currently, I highlight the emoji and manually move it down (reducing the line spacing of just the emoji). However, I have to do this pretty frequently and it's inconvenient. I added pictures below to describe better what I mean. For reference, I've dealt with this problem for at least the last year. Thank you! iMessage Example: Premiere Pro Example: Full Premiere Pro Timeline:
Please help! I have a project I've been working on for a long time. I was using the voice enhancer as I went. It crashed a few times but I muddled through. Now for some reason it tried to apply all the enhancements again at once. When it did my PC immediately shut down. Now whenever I tried to load that project or any of the backups, the PC immediately shuts down. I started the project in 2024. I've tried launching in 2024 and 2025 and same thing. Please help if you can.
