Captivate

Hello all:I recently completed a software simulation in CpC and we are deploying it via a departmental SharePoint site. (We do have a LMS but for the moment we are fighting the "Cannot load LMS API..." battle...that's another story.)The output plays fine locally, and I was - after some tweaking of quiz settings - able to load it to SCORMCloud.According to our IT folks, they *do* allow .json files in SharePoint, so that rules out the usual hiccup.When I try to launch the index.html (or index_scorm.html) I am presented with a blank screen. (shown here) and the course doesn't launch. This issue happens regardless of browser used.Any and all guidance will be gratefully received at this end.-MarkScreenshot: 

How come my highlight boxes are not showing?When I test it from the timeline with the audio they come in at the right time but when I do preview in HTML browser it doesn't show?  Can anyone help? It worked previously when I had a yellow box there that I removed and replace with these ones as per the feedback from the SME.Thanks, 

Created a drag and drop using svg in 2019 Captivate. When the images are dropped in the correct drop targets, they shrink to about 1/3 the original size. I have experimented with snap behavior, drop target size and shape, state views, changing svg formatting in Illustrator -  you name it - but can't seem to fix this. The mp4 published file has mouse movement run fast for the first 2-3 slides. The rest of the project plays just fine. Looks like a rendering issue. But not able to fix it. Has anyone seen this? any recommendation?I have tried clearing the Cache and creating the new file. But nothing seems to fix it.

Hi,I cannot upload PowerPoint presentations into the latest version of Captivate. Will it work if I download the 11.8 version along with this one? This is the only import option I have found, and it doesn't recognize any of my pptx files.File > Import > Project Content and Closed Captions Any suggestions?

Hi, usually an Articulate user and I'm having some real issues with Captivate 12.2 in combination with poor documentation from Adobe. Question - do 12.2 users have any control over slide layout, or are we beholden to Adobes design options? As in, do we have design freedom to place items such as text boxes, images etc, or are we bizarely restriced to the design option presets?

Hello, everyone!Anyone knows if your product offers the possibility to import SCORM content during a production of a course in the Captivate, and if, after finish the production of all the lessons, if I can export them into a complete SCORM package?My second question is about responsiveness. How responsive is the content for mobile devices when I create a course with Captivate?

Hello,I can't find the information.I have two SCORM files (created in an e-learning design company -> not created with Adobe Captivate).Each file is in a different language.I want to create an intermediate activity in Adobe Captivate with two buttons (per language) so that users can select the desired language. Is this possible?Can I insert one or more SCORM files into Adobe Captivate and create buttons that link to these files? What if SCORM files are not created in the Adobe suite?I read that there is a possibility with Adobe Multi-SCORM. Unless I am mistaken, this is only possible with content created in the Adobe suite. Thank you for your help

Hi, plötzlich lässt sich Captivate 2019 (m.Lizenznummer) unter WIN11 nicht mehr installieren. Zunächst wurde auch eine fehlende MSVCR110.dll verwiesen. Habe dann die C++ Runtime neui installiert. Jetzt kommt dieser Fehler. Früher leif das ohne Probleme. Hat jemand eine Idee? Vielen Dank. Gruß Peter

Hello Everyone,New here to Adobe Captivate.  Never even worked with the older (2019) version.  Just introduced to eLearning authoring software through the new Adobe Captivate. I know that you can create a multiple choice quiz through a pre-built question slide.  However, I would like to customize my quiz.  See these two screenshots.  In one quiz, I would like the learner to watch a video before selecting their answer.  In the second (vocabulary) quiz, I would love to ask multiple multi-choice questions within the slide.    I know I can achieve both of these things by adding content blocks, video, buttons, and radio groups to a blank slide.  This is how I was able to build what I've shown above.  I also know that I can select a radio group and have the student answer reported in the quiz, assigned a point, and reported to the LMS. However, I am struggling beyond belief to assign the proper variable (in the Interaction

I downloaded the new version of Adobe Captivate, and while some things are better, I'm struggling with the lack of flexibility of the application. For example, I don't always want to fill the entire image space with a picture... i'd like to have the image "fit" within the box without automatically cropping the image to cover the entire area. For example I want the entire image to show in the attached screenshot, but no setting I change will make it fit so you can see the top and bottom of the image. I can't even adjust the height of the block within the slide! I just don't get it. I know this is new, but does anyone have any ideas?

I am creating an ergonomics training for a client, and instead of a quiz at the end, they want a self-assessment where the user answers a few questions about their work tasks and setup. The idea is that we can identify people who need a health and safety professional to follow up with them and do a more in depth analysis of their situation. I am trying to create scoring logic for how this would work. There are three questions in the self-assessment, each provisioned to not show the end user if the answer is right or wrong (I overrode the right/wrong messages with a white background and a generic message). I thought I could assign point values of 30, 30, 40 to the questions... then if someone gets a 100, we know there is no need for a followup. If they get anything below 100, they need followup, with a score of 0 being the most urgent.  My question is - will these scores reflect badly on the learner taking the quiz in the LMS reporting? Can you provision the training so t

I am using a trial version of Adobe Captivate version 12.1.0.16 on Mac M1 using Ventura.I dont see the option for importing PowerPoint.I am only seeing Import > Project Content & Closed Captions.What am I doing wrong?

With Captivate 2019 I was able to publish to html5 then upload the files that are returned to my webserver then make a link to access the presentation by typing the path to the location on the server then the /index.html to open the presentation.  I can publish to html5 but unable to make link to access the presentation from the website.  We don't use a LMS but manage courses using php and MySQL.Any ideas???

If you know you will never use that click sound ever again, this is for you.  Sure, you can disable click sounds for click boxes and buttons you've made. But you realize question slide buttons don't let you do that. 🫠 What if you're like me and you never, ever, ever want to hear that sound, ever, ever, ever, everrrrr again? Answer: You just need to delete or rename the sound file in your Finder.  In Finder: Do a search for "mouse.mp3" and locate the one in Adobe Captivate 2019 (see image below). This is what Captivate uses for default button sounds.  Delete or rename it.  That's it. No scripts, no fiddling with timeline, advanced actions, etc...  Of course, if you think you'll be wanting to use this sound for question slides in the future, this isn't for you.  

I have used Video Demo option in Captivate 2019 for recording the slides (screen recording). When I publish the video in mp4 format, the slides recorded using Video Demo option are not displayed. I get the loading icon only. Can someone please help?

I used to be able to go to the publish drop down with a responsive project, and I would see the option publish to computer.  Now my only options arePublish for DevicesPublish for Devices (App)Publish to Adobe ConnectPublish to Adobe Captivate Prime It's an incredibly simple microlearning project. Nothing fancy. I used the html tracker and no issues there.  I am not trying to publish to  an lms, I just want a link to put on a webpage. I'm at a loss. I've been making simulations from the same platform for weeks now.  There was never a problem with text entry boxes being created before. As of this morning, however, instead of a text entry box, it just shows a recording of the typing.   I tried clearing my project cache but to no avail. Is there anything else I could try? I really need this to work as my deadline is getting close.   

I am creating a training for a client who is using the content with three learner groups that work in different segments of the business. They wanted a "choose your own adventure" slide where the learner can select the segment in which they work. Based on their selection, all content that comes after is customized to their segment. This is fine - I built it this way, and it all works.  We've begun to discuss edge case scenarios where someone may switch from one segment of the business to another. In their new role, they'd need to retake the training to get the information specific to their segment. My question is... how would this work? The company does not want to reset the user's registration and lose access to their past historical data. Is that possible? If not, should I break the training into three separate trainings for each of the segments, so that if they move from one segment to another, there is a new training they can take without resetting progress? 

Hello. I've just started working with Captivate 12 (a completely new world after 15 years). I'm trying to just start by creating a test project. I've created three slides (two have videos embedded and one is a simple intro slide. I have NOT added any Next buttons or any interactions that would need to be performed by the user to advance to the next slide. Yet, when I preview the project, I have to manually have to click NEXT in the playbar to advance to the next slide. This really makes no sense and does not seem to work at all like Captivate 2019. Please let me know what adjustments I have to make so that certain slides requiring no user interactions will automatically advance. Thank you! 

We have 4 users that have subscriptions for Captivate and all 4 are getting the error above.  I created a ticket with Adobe and they had us try the following-Sign out from Adobe -sign out of captivate -rename the hosts file -rename the OBE File -Restart -log into adobe -log into captivate -run updates for adobe captivateIt got users in for a few days and now the error is appearing again.  Creative cloud is online and signed in and they have Internet connection... we have lots of other users that have full creative cloud subscriptions and they do not get errors when logging in... Just the ones with the Captivate subscriptions.  All 4 subscriptions were purchased at the same time
