Captivate

Recently I was running to the problem of my interactive video skipped one of my 4 overlay slides. When previewing locally in HTM5 browser mode, all the overlays were showing up correctly, but after publishing and running from the server, one of the overlay slides was skipped by the interactive video. At one time, all overlay slides were showing correctly, another time, one of them was skipped by the video. Sometimes, I saw all 4 overlay slides correctly, while my colleague saw one of them missing. This missing overlay slide appeared very unpredictable and random to me, sometimes it showed, while other times it was skipped, not always the same overlay slide. As a result, there is no guarantee that all overlay slides will always show up for all users. By the way, all my videos are embedded within Captivate instead of streaming from remote sever like Vimeo.

I am having problems installing the NeoSpeech text to speech (Captivate Voices 64 bit).I have downloaded it successfully, but when we install it, it says we need a feature that was on the DVD or the download site. I downloaded Captivate from Adobe, and don't have a disc. I used the "Click here to download" and downloaded the Captivate 8 Voices_x64 file.When I try running it, I get this pop up warning: "We've encountered the following issues. Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file. Hello All, Please excuse my ignorance, I am new to Captivate. I have been tasked with creating interactive training videos of our asset management software. When I used the live preview on my iPad last week everything was fine, yesterday I tried it again and buttons have moved. Hello all,I am really puzzled. I have tried so many times to get Adobe Captivate to recognize that I have installed the NeoSpeech voices. No luck!What I have tried:1. Run CleanPreferencesWin.bat multiple times.2. Reinstalled the NeoSpeech file multiple times3. Started up Captivate in Admin mode.4. I even copied the VT folder inside the \Adobe Captivate 2019 x64 folder.If this VT folder (with all the voices) supposed to be in a specific location?Perhaps the only thing different about my installation is that I have all my Adobe applications in an Adobe folder.In other words, Adobe Captivate is installed here:D:\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2019 x64The voices here (a copy of the VT folder is also in the folder, above):D:\Adobe\Adobe Captivate Voices 2019 x64UPDATE:The same is true for the Assets. Hi,First of all, please note that I am a beginner user of Captivate and I use version 5.5.For now, I managed to create some simple fill-in-the-blank quizz slides, each of them containing one unique question. I also manage to add "marked blank" text in each fill-in-the-blank box (right click > mark blank). I would now like to add some fill-in-the-blank questions (actually, that would just be some drop-down lists) in a slide, in order to place them wherever I want on the slide.Is it possible and how should I proceed?ThanksRegards

I want to move the default location of the eLearning Assets folder that comes with Captivate. The reason for this is provided below. There doesn't seem to be a way to delete/modify this folder without it reappearing in the same place later. Anyone know a script or other hack to either delete or permanently move this folder? The Why: I use OneDrive on my Mac and it backs up my primary Documents folder. Captivate keeps it's Content folder (with all of the default common assets) in the Documents folder as well, but it has these horribly named files for each character set—ex. ["1253-Brad.png","1254-Brad.png","1255-Brad.png","1256-Brad.png"]— located at the top level of each character set folder (Brad is located at: Documents/Adobe/eLearning Assets/Characters/2484). OneDrive constantly throws up errors because these file names are incompatible with it's naming conventions. I will never use the characters or any of the other included assets in the Content folder. Okay, I am new to Captivate and am trying to use one of the 2019 Asset Library slides - specifically the one for Hotspot as part of the Alliance Responsive theme. When I add the slide to my project, I can easily see all of the hotspots and change the background and text on the main text captions. Where I am struggling is changing the text that appears when you click the hotspot. I can see that the action is set to a script and in the Advanced Actions, it clearly shows that when you click the icon, it is to display another title and content (for example, for hotspot 1, named Content_01).When I preview the slide, I can click each one and different text appears correctly....however, I cannot figure out where that text exists for me to edit it and include the content I need to include.Where is Content_01 in the project/slide? It is not on the timeline and I have looked everywhere I can think of. What am I missing on where to find those so that I can edit them so it appears w

In the latest version of captivate I see that the mouse klick animation are not working.Bug or am I doing something wrong? 

EDIT: I was wrong--I think all the course DO show up in review mode after you complete the quiz at the end (I hadn't actually filled out the quizzes for most of the lessons that I reviewed). And I found the settings I needed in Moodle, so I believe I am set. Thanks! Hi all! My employer has a bunch of Captivate courses in one mega class, using Moodle as our LMS. Some of the courses show up with "Review Mode" in the left hand corner upon opening, while others don't. I have completed all of these courses before, so I'm not sure why only some of them do it. My employer would like none of them to do it, but they would still like the learner to be able to pick up where they left off, which you can currently do in the courses that don't say "Review Mode." I compared the Publish settings in Captivate for a course that shows up in Review Mode and one that does not, and they appear to be identical to each other. But the settings in the same 2 Moodle courses appear to be the same too. I

I feel really stupid. I recently updated my Captivate 8 to 8.0.1.242 and now I can't figure out how to change the color of my smart shapes. I don't see the fill or stroke settings. Is there somewhere new I should be looking? Shouldn't they be under the "State" area? All is see is the opacity setting.

Hi, I'm a javascript/CSS beginner, using the Captivate 2019 updated software. I recently upgraded from Captivate 9 to Captivate 11 (Captivate 2019, v 11.5.4.613). The YouTube widget is missing from Learning Interactions (and this widget is essential to my projects). I have the same issue whether I download the application onto a MacBook Pro (running Mac OS 10.14.6) or a PC (running Windows 10). I see all the other Learning Interactions, but no YouTube. When I look on my MacBook hard drive (in Documents > My Adobe Captivate Projects > Adobe > eLearning Assets > Interactions_11_5), I see the .wdgt files for all the other widgets, but no YouTube.wdgt file). Does anyone have any ideas how I can get this widget?

I have a SCORM package developed in Captivate. Everything works as planned but we recently found that if a user re-attempts the score resets to Zero. It doesn't preserve the previous attempt as with the normal quizzes (built-in).

I'm pretty new to Captivate and am struggling to figure this one out... My employer has a program with a bunch of different courses in it that they offer every year. They asked me to take the existing course files and make some minor edits. When I preview the files or upload them to the LMS, they are too tall to be seen in the browser without scrolling down a little bit. I tried using the original files, without my edits, to compare and they do the same thing. However, when I go to our LMS and play the same courses that were offered last year, everything looks right. Why is this happening? My guess is it relates to an update that's happened since my employer last uploaded SCORM packages to the course? Any ideas how to fix it? I experimented with changing the aspect ratio, and it seems to fit the screen at about 1144 Width and 643 Height, but then it cuts off the top of the master slides with the logo. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Hi all, thanks so much for being here. I have a weird thing happening where multiple quiz slides (and the results slide) are stacking up on top of each other.This is my first time really using a master slide, so I think it has something to do with that, and also somehow the setting "display for the rest of the project".Essentially, I added a master slide to control the appearance of buttons and the feedback bar, without having to change it every single slide individually. The first quiz slide looks good, then when I move on to the next (2nd) quiz slide, I also see the information from the first slide as well.When I move on to slide 3, I also see slide 1 & 2. You get the idea. Since it is a master, I can not delete the content on a lower layer, nor can I uncheck anywhere "Display for the rest of the project"If anyone has any insight, I sure could use the help.This file was originally created using the function "New Captivate file from Template"I have the original master slides saved

Good day fellow captivate users! I am boggled by this phenomenon I find in one of the Captivate Projects... I have created a click to reveal tab interaction, with 4 buttons/tabs each triggering an advanced action, including changing a state change of one block object, and each tab has a 'clicked' state with a different coloured shape making the tab stand above the others: Here is the view of the layers panel - the block lies above the tabs: BUT in the published SCORM, the 3rd and 4th tabs pop up above the white block when clicked and the state of the tab changed: I did check - the block opacity is 100% in all the different states to be triggered, so it is not disappearing, as you can see by the grey outline. What am I missing here?Help appreciated!

How do you create computer base training(CBT) and web base training (WBT) using Captivate 3 or 4?  I know how to record from an application, but how do you put it all together into CBT?  What other tools do I need?

Hello, Several years ago I learned about this hidden feature in Adobe Captivate, but as of today it stopped working. The feature I am referring to is (Ctrl + Alt + Up arrow/Down arrow) to control spacing, and (Ctrl + Alt + Left arrow/Right arrow) to control kerning. I'm using the most recent version of Captivate 2019. For those of you who are not familar with this feature check out Paul Wilson's video. The last two comments posted on this video are experiencing the same issue. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7c5I3KXot3A. Anyhow, the problem isn't with Captivate. When I remote into my work machine with my desktop it works fine, but when I remote into the same work machine using my laptop it doesn't work. I just started using the laptop today, and that is when the issue started. I'm using Windows 10 and like I said the most recent version of Captivate. I'm guessing Windows 10 or the Dell laptop has some default setting that isn't recognizing these shortcut key

I made a smart shape turned into a button with an image fill (29 x29), and the fluid box is a height of 35px with padding of H-2 V-6px. When I drag the shape into the fluid box it resizes it larger (35x35). How do I keep the fluid box from resizing shapes or images?
