Captivate

I have created a file, where the contents is available in multiple languages, each in it's own branch.  We have clients who, when they return to the training, want to fast forward and/or rewind to get to the material they want to review.  When branching is initialized, all of these controls, understandable, are disables.  Is there a way to add a button/widget, etc., to allow the user to click through the slides to get to where they want to go?

I am trying the trial version of Adobe Captivate 2019 - I have used Articulate in the past, but thought I would try this out instead.  I imported my powerpoint presentation and it appears fine.  When I try to edit it (Edit presentation in powerpoint), it says "Creating temp file", then the screen goes blank.  No film strip, no anything.  Just a grey screen.  When I hit cancel, my presentation is still there. After reading some posts, I have tried saving it as a .ppt instead of a .pptx, but it did nothing.  I have also tried opening as admin on both powerpoint and Captivate, but it didn't seem to help. I am beyond frustrated, as I have spent hours trying to fix this issue - it doesn't help that I am somewhat challenged when it comes to computer systems. I am running Windows 10 ProProcessor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500T CPU @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHzInstalled RAM 16.0 GB (15.9 GB usable)System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processorIf anyo

I keep getting this error with a project i am working on using Captivate 11.5.4.613. I already had help with creating a little test with objects of different states, that can be identified with variables (https://community.adobe.com/t5/captivate-discussions/bedingte-erweiterte-aktionen-mit-mehr-als-2-status/m-p/12031783#M291239), I hope the next step can also be done: Imagine an equation like:[A] = [B] x [C] A, B, C are objects with 3 different states (each of them: state 1 = A, state 2 = B, state 3 = C). By clicking on the objects, the states change. By clicking on "Send", the object's states shall be checked ("right" oder "wrong") - for all 3 objects at the same time. I have tried without success to create an advanced action that allows to have either B oder C in object 2+3. The equation is correct in both forms:A = B x C as well as A = C x B I am curious to learn how this can be fixed. Thanks for your ideas!

I want to create Greek TTS, I tried to install TTS voice in Mocrosoft Windows but Greek voice still not available in Captivate, could you please advice?

Hi Community,There are captivate simulations that need to be translated into multiple languages and published as mp4s. A brief of the current process is to:Create a base version.Create copies for each language from the base versionExport and import captions to update the caption text to different languagesImport the audio files of other languages and replace them on each slide for each language Publish as mp4Please advise if there is any better or faster way to do this. While using the adobe captivate default quiz settings to make a quiz with multiple pools in it and random questions from each pool. Everything is working fine but when we are taking the quiz either online or offline.1). Firstly, if the user is not selecting any choice and clicking submit button, they will get an error message "Please select any choice, in-order to continue forward", then the user selects the required choice and clicks submit.2). They will get the feedback (Correct/Incorrect), depending on the choice selected.After this is the main problem where I'm stuck for now, i.e., submit button is there in enabled state but it is layered behind an invisible layer. Hence, with no option available, user has to click that invisible layer in-order to move to next question.Any suggestions how to fix this problem? Hi, I created a blank project with a few slides and added in a video demo slide with some screen capture and audio narration. This previews fine when in Captivate but when published to video, the video slides just dsiplay as a blank screen and no audio plays. When I've done this (many times) in the past there have been no issues so why now and what can I do to rectify this issue?

Hi I'm using Captivate 2017 (11.5) I've created 2 custom themes: Custom1 and Custom2. I browsed for and 'inserted' into the project and now after having tested out each one I only want to use Custom2 theme, but when i go to insert a new slide both of the themes are in the master slide options (in PI).  Is there a way to remove a custom theme from the project ? thanks

I keep getting this error code when I am trying to publish projects.  I am trying to publish in video format.  I have copied and pasted the slides into a blank project and received the same error.  My computer was upgraded to Windows 10 and Captivate 2019.  I used to be on Captivate 8.  After the upgrade that is when all of this started.Thanks in advance for suggestions.

I know this question might annoy some. lol But here it goes. I have not had an active version of Adobe Captivate for a few years. Having said that, I now would like to republish some old Captivate files so that I can get the tables of contents to show, as well as export for different scorm packages. Can this be done by a old account of Captivate? Do I need to set it to trial version againTold you you'd be annoyed. lol

Can not find Captivate Accessibility tab to adjust Tab Order cap

The subject isn't quite right, but here's what I would like to do:I would like to set up a "go to next slide" global button that is enabled only in the last three seconds of a video (or at the very end if that is easier).  The video length on each slide varies. I'm sure this is actually an advanced action, but I'm still at a loss on how to write the action to work in the way in which I described.  Thoughts?Thank you!!

I have Captivate 2019. I imported  my video demo slides into my cptx project by going to Insert -> CPVC Slide. I also have a Title Page at the start of my project that is not a video slide. I also imported audio into Captivate for each of my video demo slides. When I preview my project in Captivate everything works properly, but when I publish my project as a Video, the title slide and the audio for each of my video demo slides are the only things that play properly. None of my video demo slides appear on the screen, there is a constant loading/spinning symobol that displays. throughout my entire project except for the Title slide. The project is saved to my local work server. Does anyone have any input as to what could be the issue? 

Exit Search     I have a 4 tab slide with an info panel that changes information based on the tab that is clicked. However on the state of the info panel, I would like to have bulleted points come in as I am talking about it on a different state.  Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.     No relevant post is found.   Post to community

HiI have two videos that are toggled show/hide by using a buttonI was under the impression that I could ad a cmdmute action on the button to mute the clip that show.But im struggeling to find this in the action. I would like that when the variable are 1 the video showing will play and the other be mutet. The vimeo are in webobjects 

Basic text is not being read in the EDGE browser. I'm previewing in HTML 5 and I've filled out the Accessibility Description with a duplicate of the text on screen. How can I preview the functionality before publish when the "Read Aloud" only reads the playback skin Nav buttons?It seems like none of the content is recognized for assistive technology, Please help 🙂 

I am new to Captivate and new to a job, and one of my first assignments is to go through old Captivate folders in our FTP (Filezilla) and figure out which files were used for the courses currently published to our LMS. There's little rhyme or reason to the naming of the folders or files. For example, we have a folder that has loose files plus folders named v1 through v5 and a folder named "vSteve." The "Date Modified" for the files are all showing up the same (I believe this is the date in 2017 they were transferred to the FTP). Is there a way to tell which files were modified most recently so I can figure out which ones are likely the ones on our LMS? I was hoping that info may be in the Project Information when I open up the file in Captivate, but no luck. Thanks in advance!

I'm working on my first SCORM e-learning module in captivate, it looks great but there's definitely been a learning curve. When it comes time for the final test/quiz I can't seem to get the correct pass/fail results. I want the learners to pass with 70%+, but it wouldn't work without 80%+ at first, even if in the quiz section of the "publish settings" I put 80%. I also tried choosing x points or more to pass, but that isn't working either. In the process of trying to fix this (deleting questions, adding new ones, etc), I seem to have made it worse and now I don't get quiz results at all-- the module skips the results and goes to the final thank-you slide even tho I did make a score slide and have the "show score at the end of the quiz" box checked in the quiz settings. Before the results box disappeared, the module started failing the tests even at 100% correct. I feel like there must be some obvious thing I'm missing.  I attached screenshots of the settings I'm usi

I am working on a curriculum and I would like the students to be able to fast forward the SCORM in our LMS.  Right now they can fast forward on the Skin but when they do, they audio stops completely.  Is there any way to allow the user when they fast forward to hear the narration in fast forward as well? I am working in Captivate 2019 and publishing as SCORM files for upload to our LMS.

I am attempting to import a PPT file to Captivate 2017 in Windows.  And, yes - I have saved it as a .ppt file. It goes through what appears to be the beginning process, but then Captivate just dissapears!! I am on MS Office 365... does that make a difference?
