I'm posting a Sreenshot any suggestions?
Hi!So I don't know what's happening here - when I move my head with the camera feed, the head will move, but it will stick to the neck/body? Even if the head origin point is in the middle of the head artwork it still does this. When I check for problems there is none... Neither the head or body are independent - if the head is it acts as a independent part would.Help please?
Here is my issue. I am creating this rig and for some reason after I activate Limbs IK, the heel AND toe points are stuck to the ground and I get this weird distortion if I drag my draggable. Here is my setup: I am not sure how to handle the fact that I have two different feet directions. Maybe that's what is messing something up. But I need to have one puppet who can turn his feet both ways (mirroring). Any advice is much appreciated, thank you. Also as a second question, is there any handler for easy rotation of hands etc. in the Scene editor? What's the best way to go about to animate hands and feet rotation?
I have made 2 character animations who are having a conversation. I created and recorded them on character animation, composed some bits in After Effects and then finished it off in Premiere Pro. Everything was fine until I exported from Premiere Pro and one of the characters keeps flickering and glitching after export.
Hello!I would love it if I was able to upload a script of what is being said in the scenes audio and have character animator use that to assist in its lip sync feature. So animator would use the Audio file to try and lip sync and more or less check it via the uploaded script (to help with the lip sync accuracy). Is there a way to do this already that I have missed? I think a feature like this could save us some time in manualy going into the audio of each scene and edit the lip sync. Thanks!
I'm rigging this puppets arms, and his right arm works well. It's connected at the shoulder part of the arm and stays put right there. The other arm though, I can pull away from the body.As far as I can tell I did the same thing to both arms. What's wrong?
The properties panel is not appearing after I create the triggers.
I tried to open the Character Animator app on Beta Apps, but whenever I click on it, it does open but it becomes grey and indicates "not responding" while the cursor keeps circuling.Once the cursor stops circuling, character animator app crashes immidiately. Can someone help me with this please ?
I am a newbie with photoshop and character animator. My goal is to make an animated cartoon for grandkids.I was trying to take a generated head by characterizer(selected image) and use that on top of an existing walking puppet that I can download.I am having all kind of movement issues once I do that. I experimented with the puppet maddy but that puppet seems a little too complex. Does anybody know of another walking, head turning puppet that is simple and I could use?Any advice if I should try a different approach? I wanted to have a realistic image of a child rather than a cartoon looking head.
Hello, I have tried to set up a blink effect using cycle layers but several problems are occuring at once:Video here: https://youtu.be/Rh2R4E5AgVY As you can see I have several issues:1) The eyes don't blink together. despite having the "blink together option selected"2) Despite having a transparent artwork the pupil and whites are no longer visible Here is a screenshot of the layers I currently have (10 blink images, 5 unique images then duplicated to go in reverse) The trigger command was a test to see if it would work better on a trigger. It did not.
Hi,I have a Master scene that is comprised of separate scenes (opening title, main scene and then outro). The transition between each scene right now is choppy as the master scene just cuts directly from one scene to the next. Id like for there to be a brief black screen in between each scene. Any advice on how to add this effect between each nested scene? thanks!!
I can't get my character to walkwhat am I doing wrong?
Hello, I'm curious if there are still any Twitch integrations for Character Animator? I know there was previously an extension that would allow for Character Animator interactions using bits, but I'm not sure if it's still supported. If not, is there another way to utilize chat or channel point redemptions as triggers for CA model components? Was thinking it'd be a fun way for the audience to play with elements of the model. Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi! I'm new to Adobe Character Animator and i'm trying to get my character to walk. My character doesn't have a neck or waist so I'm not really sure where to error is, I rigged most of his body parts but as soon as a apply to walk behavor I get "TypeError: Cannot read property '0' of undefined\r\nError code: (Vec2.js:127)". Anyone know a fix for this? (Sorry, I'm posting this again because I accidentally posted this in Animate topic)
Hi to everybody,I am suffering from a movement issue. I used Rin puppet which is Adobe provides for sample, I fixed it for my own purpose, now my puppet doesn't move. I can only move my eyes and mouth. The point of this puppet was lapping hair, but after I changed the color of hair, there is no more lapping for my character. what should I do?
This may seem silly and there's probably a real obvious answer, but I was wondering how to choose the length of a scene. I was creating a quick sample video, The recording only take about 25 seconds. however when I save it to a video it's about a 1:10 long. I tried trimming what's recorded but that just makes the video after the first 25 seconds black. Is there a way to it in character animator like it is in After Effects, where you can choose the time length when you create a new composition? Or should I just dynamic link the scene into After Effects and trim out all the blank time.
I've set up my puppet with Arm IK and everything is working fine. But is there a way to alter the position of just the hands without moving the whole arm? I have a dragger on each hand. I want to be able to rotate the hands a bit without affecting the rest of the arm. Thanks!
Hello, I have created a robot in Character Animator and instead of legs I have wheels. I have been able to make the wheels rotate, however, I am unable to move my character across the screen.
Hi I’m using Character Animator 2020 3.2 build 65 & 2020 Encoder version 14.0.2 build 69I have only just started to use magnets it all works fine in the recording, but the in the exported with alpha the objects are no longer connected
Hi there. I basically copied the Blank puppet from the Adobe character animator site, but for some reason my eyebrows are not moving. My mouth moves and tilts and when I move my eyebrows up and down. My mouth moves as well as my shoulders actually. I went over the triggers but can't figure out what happened. It's like there's a trigger to tilt my mouth activated and I don't see it lol Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ^^
Hi, I am experimenting with advanced scenarios to control the Character animator. Recently, I started to move away from limb IK (arms) toward midi control and I find that it is much easier to control character this way if the character animator window is not opened. For example, I use Unreal Engine to make a 3D room and my character lives inside Problems with it:When I switch cameras and shoot the camera from the back, I need to swap ears, hide eyes, etc. – solved with an AutoIT script. They have a command “controlsend” to send the keypress to a specific part of any program that you have opened. So, I just sync the button press between the unreal engine and Character Animator and swap all required elementsWrist swap required. I need to switch the wrist based on the elbow angle, so the big finger looks appropriate – not solved, but have an idea. We can send keypress to Character Animator as discussed in #1 + we can control the hand with midi slider. If we develop some small pr
I want my character's talking experience to be more natural without having to trigger keys manually. While talking, when my character detects a sound (like "Oh", "Aa"), in addition to the regular lip sync I also want it to move it's hands (ideally with randomized hand movement animations, otherwise a different hand motion / animation for "Oh", "Aa", etc would also be fine). I looked into Layer Picker and got through creating a cycle animation triggered by audio input. I went through this https://community.adobe.com/t5/character-animator/layer-picker-or-cycle-layers-via-audio-input/m-p/10182546 and also this video starting here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVKmDLsnsiI&t=1290s I got these basic examples working and it's a step in the right direction, but I'm not there yet. As far as audio input, I dont care about loudness of the audio, I need to either show different sequences of layers 1. randomly based on any audio input being detected (loudness not being important), or 2.
I created a character but I can't invert it here, for example, when I do scale x -100, the character disappears
Hey everyone. In both the normal and Beta version of Ch I get the error "Bad Rope Operation" Whenever i try to open or save a proect. Anyone know what this is or how to fix it? I'm really hoping al my characters aren't stuck in a glitch limbo!
Using this tutorial: https://youtu.be/IKQi3Anuhlc?t=273, I got the nutcracker jaw working, but there’s a problem - the character has a “Face” behavior attached to it with Head Tilt strength set to 25%. The character gets distorted when you tilt the head because the jaw does not move with it. So, the top portion of the face and the jaw look disjointed (see the screenshot) when the character tilts it's head. Is there a workaround for this, ideally to make the jaw tilt as well?
