Dreamweaver

I've been working on the footer for my website and have all the links I need underneath the headers, but when I try to center it the longer links move over to the side and down like there's an indent. The shorter links center fine, it's just the longer ones. I'm trying to create a column based footer, where each section of links make up a column that goes across the page. @migos:     Can Adobe Dreamweaver CS6 function with the Windows Pro 11 operating system?   So far I keep trying to tweak the settings in order to figure out why I keep getting this message whenever I attempt to upload a website page modification:   "An FTP error occurred. Cannot make connection to host. The remotehost cannot be found." As background, I still use the same webhost that I've used for nearly 2 decades.   But I switched computers and uploaded Dreamweaver CS6 to it.   Meanwhile last December Microsoft uploaded Windows 11 Pro onto my computer, you know, for my own benefit.   I had not yet begun trying to use Dreamweaver CS6 on my replacement computer.         If anyone here has managed to get CS5 or CS6 Adobe to function on Windows 11 Pro, please let me know so I won't give up and switch website modification brands.   I spent over $1,000 on Dreamweaver over the years and I

Hi everyone, a) My live view stopped working after I gradually changed my website from plain HTML to PHP. The same page works fine as xxx.html, but with xxx.php I get the following error:“An unknown error occurred while searching for dynamically related files.” b) The browser preview no longer works either, and the QR code for previewing on mobile is also not showing up anymore. Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it? Thanks in advance for any help!

ALL of my media queries on my portfolio site work magnificantally when viewed on a desktop or laptop. However, one of its pages won't adjust when viewed on a moble device, while the rest will. Is there a logical reason for this? If yes, how should I go about fixing it? Matthew

When using split view, I sometimes need to locate another line of code in HTML.  I click where I want to be in HTML by clicking on the web page view where I want to edit. Sometimes when I click on a specific line, Dreamweaver returns me to the HTML code I was editing previously.One time, it happened four times in a row, I click on one part of the page, web view moves to that part of the page, click on what I want to edit, and dreamweaver returns me to where I was and not what I want to edit.This has been happening for before and after the last two updates.  Absolutely fustrating

Hi, might be being a bit of an idiot here but does anybody know how you write Arabic letters in the Nastaliq style in a webpage? For example for the Urdu language? The font families in DW to choose from, I haven’t gone through them all, but the ones I’ve tried so far all display Arabic text in the Naskh style. On older Dreamweaver versions in Creative Cloud  I do not have Dreamweaver cs6 anymore. I need it. How do i get it back into Creative Cloud?

The Blue frame that highlights elements in DW (2021) is missing for me. I am in Live View with 'Hide live Views Displays' unchecked. I've thrashed my DW preferences (windows style), rebooted the machine, saved a site to a path without unusual characters in the path and still no sign of them. My code is just two divs from bootstrap with nothing in them as I am about to do a tutorial on Bootstrap and not having the blue frame is frustrating. Any ideas welocmed, thank you. Please note I am in Live View with 'Hide live Views Displays' unchecked..

I am experiencing this issue with a simple <img> tag. The error has nothing to do with the php setting.  I experienced the problem with a super simple <html> doc. I closed Dreamweaver, and the error is gone.   C'mon Adobe! You can do better!

Do people no longer need websites? From what I can tell, the intended route is Dreamweaver being replaced with... 🤷🏻‍♂

I'm working on a site that I need to display today. The landing page is one image, for getting viewers to return. On the Dreamweaver page, I attached css that i expected to make the big png resize according to the viewing screen. It didn't work. Is there one particular instruction that should always get used for a case like this? thanks,Nicky

Asked this in InDesign recently, then realized I wouldn't really know for sure until I ask coders. Exported my InDesign PDF magazine with layout setting "Two-Up (Cover)" so it displays the standalone cover, then switches to double-page view (until the back standalone cover). There will be a standard web link to the file, so users can open it however they choose — most will use Acrobat, and have zero issues — but for the few who will open the PDF file in-browser, I noticed only Firefox seems to respect the "Two-Up (Cover)" layout setting... neither Edge, Opera or Chrome will properly display 2-page spreads natively. My first question is, why Firefox? Is there a partnership between Adobe/Mozilla I'm unaware of, or did FF just decide to include a little more PDF compatibility than the chromium browsers have? My second question is : could this limitation somehow be overcome by some server-side code trickery (html, css, php, js)? Liebe Community, bin hier neu. Habe bisher wenig Erfahrung mit Dreamweaver bzw CSS.Ich habe eine etwas aufwendigere Vorlage kreiert. Sie lief anfänglich. Doch nun bekomme ich beim Öffnungsversuch als Template eine Fehlermeldung. Direkt öffnen geht.Ich habe da einen Fehler produziert. Wie kann ich das beheben? Es handelt sich um ein verschachteltes Format. Ich bin dankbar für jeden Tipp, den ich weiss mit meinem eingeschräkten Wissen über CSS nicht weiter. I am running the latest DW 2021 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.5. I am editing pages and suddenly it stops working, then the spinning wheel of death appears and then I get the message saying that DW is unresponsive - Ignore or Force Quit.Anyone know why I might be getting this and how to stop it? I was getting this same issue before the last OS update.Thanks in advance!

My web host provider Pair Networks requires at least OpenSSH 9.0 for SFTP connections because of security problems with older versions. So far as I can tell the current Dreamweaver version 21.6 is still using OpenSSH 8.8 and therefore fails to connect. Published workarounds from Adobe only explain how to use even older versions of OpenSSH not newer ones (the current version is 10.6). This effectively makes Dreamweaver unusable for me so I suppose I shall have to end my trial and try some other editor..

I am trying to add a link in a web page to a PDF file which takes you to a particular page in the PDF file. I have followed these instructions from elsewhere on the internet and it does not to work! 😞 For example for page 4 the advice I have got is to add #page=4 to the end of the link. Thus the whole link for a file (in the same folder) which is called Script_310317.pdf would be as follows …Script_310317.pdf#page=4This should take you to page 4 of the PDF but it still just takes you to the top or page one of the file. What have I done wrong? I am using Safari.Thanks for your help,Gareth

Hello I want to move my Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 to a new computer. I tried deactivating it but get a message saying I need to adjust the internet proxy setting on my computer. I've no idea what that means! Can you help? It would be much appreciated.  I also have Premiere Elements 12 and Photoshop CS3 Extended. I have the seial number of all of these.

I'm doing a find/replace using this regex:([A-Z]{3,4}\s\d{3}) It should match patterns like this: INFO 120 or POL 312 But is also matched "ered 300" in the string "course numbered 300 or ..."  Shouldn't [A-Z] only match uppercase letters?

If I have some navigation links within a library item and they are hyperlinks to a subfoldere.g.<a href="../example/">example </a> then Dreamweaver will rewrite this to<a href="../example">example </a> i.e. it removes the trailing space and makes the link look like it is going to a single page rather than a directory. Also if you do have a page with that name it will be loaded instead of the intended directory. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Google will see these are two separate URLs and so it is bad for SEO. I could just avoid this by linking to "../example/index.html" but that is ugly and means that any future change to, for example .php, would mean changing all the links.
