Dreamweaver Code Editor Drag and Drop

The code editor in DW 21.2 has messed up drag and drop to the point where you can no longer see where the drag is going to be dropped. Up to now, a ghost edit-point cursor has shown exactly where it was going (although it was sometimes hard to see). Now it appears if there is some sort of weird icon near the mouse arrow, but NO indication of where the paste is occurring. This will force me to use an external text editor, which is just another painful step in doing my work. Don't get me wrong, external text editors are great but taking the time to force the external editor every time I want to edit a file is ridiculous. Alternately, I will have to cut/paste each move, now that drag and drop is not controllable any more. Please, undo this "improvement"!

Image + Connected Text again

Image + Connected Text againA couple of weeks ago we discussed methods to publish images and text together on the web, like in Word or DTP. I received worthwhile advices on flex-based methods for three to five images in a row.However, for me one-to-one is the most common scenario; Like an article in a newspaper, images of any size with a relevant text mass to match. I have tried the figure>image>figcaption again and it seems to work for any image size and there are no straying text pieces; orphans or “bastards” in vulgar DTP lingo. I just wanted to have your comments if you see any other inconveniences for a website!Right now, I scrutinize Jim Maivald’s DW Classroom in a book which seems quite systematic. Although a 2022 release it may still be the best source since Adobe has stopped developing DW? Of course, CSS carry on, so if you can recommend recently published book titles relevant to DW they are welcome! Thanks for all help provided here, Ingemar

Transferring Extensions/Settings between computers with different Mac OS versions?

I've been having trouble the past two months getting extension managers to work to reinstall PVII extensions and have made a couple previous posts on this forum regarding that issue. I am posting this as a new thread because I'm considering doing something else altogether but not sure it's possible.I have two computers:Main computer: 2019 Mac Pro Intel now running the final version of Sequoia, andSecondary computer: MacBook Pro M3, running latest version of Tahoe.Both computers have the latest version of Dreamweaver installedHistory:When I upgraded my main computer to Sonoma several months ago, I lost my PVII extensions. I have tried three different extension managers to reinstall including DMX zone. Two of the extension managers appear to open properly, but showed no extensions installed in Dreamweaver nor will they allow me to install any new extensions. DMX zone launches but no windows appear. The real mystery is my M3 MacBook Pro, running the latest version of Tahoe allows me to la

Methods for placing image+caption   Feb 3This website, largely targeting innovative bamboo construction methods, should work like a newspaper blog:1  Often, only one image with just one caption – Image size can vary a lot! Caption and image stay together over different screen sizes. The <figure>-<img>-<figcaption> method should work if the total figure width can be controlled, say 150px? Caption will follow image if screen size changes.2  Sometimes, 2-3 explanatory images in a row with text content connected as in a user manual - Image size could mostly be the same. Occasionally though, one image merits a larger height or width than the others in the row. Should be possible with Flex and  .figure-gallery.width {max-width:200px;…} or 30% for example. Images not loading

Although the Image no-show is a classic newbie problem with obvious causes like paths to relevant folders etc, there are sometimes also inexplicable reasons. I know the nav code is clumsy and it will soon be better organized. How to properly follow discussions with nested replies?

Hi everyone, I’m writing this after a discussion  @L e n a   had with @ingo9 about Flexbox and some articles published on Puce & Média.Out of curiosity, I went to read the related thread myself, and I have to admit I had real trouble finding and following the actual exchanges.For context, I’m not directly involved in that discussion, but I wanted to understand how it unfolded.Since the new version of the forum, I find it difficult to read threads and follow conversations, especially when replies are nested. For example, in this thread: Methods for image gallery+captions, flexbox vs gridbox At first glance, I only see one comment, while there are actually many replies hidden inside nested threads.To read them, I have to manually expand each level, and if there are replies inside replies, I have to repeat the process.As a result, it becomes quite hard to:understand the full conversation, see where replies were added, or even notice that new answers exist at all. In this case, the ori
