Since the latest Lightroom Classic update, I’m experiencing a bug when exporting files.Workflow:1. Open catalog with DNG files edited by a collaborator2. Save metadata (Cmd/Ctrl + S)3. Export JPEGs in high resolution to the same folder4. Use “Export → Format: Original” to copy those JPEGs to a new external folder (not added to catalog)Issue:In this last step, Lightroom randomly generates .acr sidecar files for some images in the destination folder.Important:- This did NOT happen before the update- Source folder does NOT contain any .acr files- It only happens when using “Format: Original”- It does NOT happen when exporting JPEG normally (low resolution or re-encoded)- It only affects some files, not allThis seems related to metadata writing or sidecar handling.System:- Lightroom Classic version: 15.3- OS: Mac 26.3.1 (25D2128)

Lightroom V. 15.3 tether capture only works in live view with my Canon R6 II, not photo capture. Using Windows 11 current version.

Since the latest Lightroom Classic update, I’m experiencing a serious issue with importing exported JPEG files.Workflow: I work with DNG files in a shared workflow (catalog opened locally after being edited remotely). I export JPEG files (same filename as the DNG, e.g. IMG_1234.DNG → IMG_1234.jpg) into the same folder. I try to import or synchronize that folder to include the JPEGs in the catalog. Issue: Lightroom does NOT detect the JPEG files when synchronizing the folder. In the Import dialog, even when selecting “All Photographs”, the JPEGs do NOT appear. The option “Don’t import suspected duplicates” is disabled. Dragging the JPEG files directly into Lightroom also does NOT import them. The files are visible in Finder and are valid JPEGs. Additional observations: This did NOT happen in previous versions of Lightroom Classic. It happens consistently across multiple folders. Renaming the JPEG files (e.g. adding a suffix) makes them importable again. Exporting JPEGs

Merge to HDR in LrC 15.3 is stalling (beach ball) or not responding.  I frequently merge HDR images for Real Estate photos and today, after updating to LrC 15.3 I had to Force Quit from LrC multiple times to regain control of LrC.  I stacked my bracketed shots and used CTRL+H to merge.  LrC did process a couple before stalling.  After multiple attempts resulting in Force Closing, I tried using the menu commands, no change.  I then uninstalled 15.3 and reinstalled a fresh copy of 15.3 and the HDR problem continued.  Finally I uninstalled 15.3 and downgraded to 15.2.1 and the Merge to HDR function worked as expected.  

Add New Mask, then select Subject. Some idle time, then no result. Have rebooted, same results. I recently just reinstalled both lightroom classic and photoshop on my windows 11 laptop after dealing with a subscription issue. They both worked fine with minimal issues prior to deleting them but after reinstalling I just can’t seem to get LRC to open at all and always leads immediatly to a crash report on startup. Photoshop launches just fine which is very strange. If someone can help me with this that would be great. I will copy the crash report if that helps (it’s very long for some reason). Even if changes are made to this screen you cannot move on, PC restart is only way out of screen.I can no longer import images!

Usually, the photos that need attention for noise reduction are those taken with high ISO.  How high varies a bit with the camera, but generally I want to consider applying noise reduction at ISO 1600 or higher and sometimes even ISO 800.  And the best time to apply noise reduction is at the very start of processing. Given these considerations it seems odd that LR does not provide any help in locating the high ISO images in a collection or folder.   Ability to sort on ISO would be extremely useful; alternatively, a way to filter on high ISO could serve much the same need.  Neither of these options would seem to present much difficulty since ISO is recorded in the EXIF information.

I hope this is the right place to post this question on the forums.    Now I have a shiny new Asus OLED PA32UCDM ProArt monitor.  Although this is Calman factory calibrated, I am doing a “check” hardware calibration of this new monitor in wide gamut mode with a new meter and Calman software. It will write to the monitor LUT, however it does not generate an icc profile to install in windows.From my recollection, since I am using the ProPhoto colorspace in Lightroom and Photoshop, it utilizes the icc profile to translate the colorspace requested to the current state and capabilities of the monitor.After I do my hardware calibration the monitor will be very well calibrated.  But it will be running with the default installed icc that does not really know the current status of the cali

I have major problems with Lightroom Classic. It runs very slowly. Importing, using library and developing are very slow. Some develop processes, for instance crop and remove, are difficult to use.My machine exceeds minimum system requirements. I have 32 GB RAM, 64—bit multiple-core processor, Lightroom and operating system (Windows 11) are on same solid-state drive. Fotos are in my own machine, not on a network drive. There is more than 20% free space on ssd drive. The graphics driver is updated. I have increased the Camera Raw cache size to 20 GB.Photoshop runs normally and machine works normally with other programs.I made another catalog and opened LrC with it. Performance was OK. My thought is that there is something wrong with my normal catalog. Quand j’active la synchro dans LrC sur une collection, seulement une partie de la collection est synchronisée et visible sur Lr desk (7 photos sur 14 dans un cas, 11 sur 12 dans un autre). Aucun message d’erreur de synchro signalé. Aucune photo en cours de synchro. J’ai réinitialisé les préférences, redémarré… Rien n’y fait. Quelqu’un a-t-il une solution ?

I import my photos into Lightroom Classic in RAW. My export settings say JPEG, yet recently I noticed when I export multiple, some of them stay in RAW. The end of the file says .jpg, but the file itself is RAW. I did this multiple times, and different pictures would be in RAW, so I know it’s not related to the specific file. In this case, I exported 20 photos and 2-4 were in RAW. I tried exporting 200 photos, and 8 were in RAW.Screenshot of export settings attached. (Note: When I unchecked Resize to Fit, 15 out of 200 exported in RAW.) 

All apps are up to date. Lightroom will not launch for some reason. 

When attempting to sync settings in the develop module, the crop, straighten and aspect ratio selections are grayed out. When I click on synchronize, the crop is applied but. If you don't want to synch the crop, there doesn't appear to be anyway to deselect that option.

This post applies to Camera Raw and Lightroom Classic.   Dust Removal is no longer in Early Access status and can be found in the Remove edit panel for Camera Raw & Lightroom Classic. Dust Removal helps with removing distracting spots on an image that may be caused by dust on a camera's sensor.   Once enabled, your image will be scanned, and any detected dust spots will be automatically removed using Content-Aware Remove. For refinement, you can select one or multiple spots to delete or refresh. Batch removal is also supported; simply select the "Dust" checkbox under "Remove" in the copy settings dialog.Please note that scanned negatives are not in the scope of this feature at this time.    Dust spots on scans tend to be located in the focal plane, with the negative and very sharp, while sensor dust is typically positioned out of the focal plane and therefore not in focus. I’m noticing that the left hand panel in Lightroom Classic scrolls really sluggishly and jerks / jumps around.   I’m running MacOS 26.4 and it has been like this for quite some time (not just on 26).It’s really hard to scroll precisely, you have to sort of wait for it to catch up.   Rather annoying.

As of today, I also still have this issue (by now we’re in 15.2.1) and the usual recommendations of “resetting your preferences” or even right out deleteing the files or copying them from a known working machine have not fixed this issue for me.Even complete system OS wipes and fresh reinstalls of the software after setting up the OS (reasons for OS reinstall unrelated to issue), with no traces left of the prior install, have fixed this for me on my system. So the logical conclusion would be this is coming from an catalog corruption. But interestingly, creating a new catalog in a fresh install on a just set up OS (Win 11 Pro) also does not fix this issue.For me the issues extend three-fold:I can’t color label my images in the gallery EXIF / IPTC / Metadata in general never loads in the grid view side panel (and knowingly exists since it’s e.g. shown in MediaInfo or ExifTool) The loupe info display doesn’t work (likely because metadata is never finished reading on the files)So 9 months

I have re-organised Lightroom, moving all my images to an external drive and they are now sitting in well structured folders. All seems to have gone well, but when I look at Lightroom, it says there are 483 photos in the old folder Users/myname/Pictures. However, there are no thumbnails of these images. When I look in the folder using Finder (I’m on a Mac), I cannot see an images.
