FrameMaker

I am using Framemaker 2015 (Verision 13) and paste special no longer works. Nothing happens at all, it does not even paste the text. This feature is especially helpful when pasting text from other sources. Has anyone else encountered this and do you have a solution.

I have clips that are separate yet change their framing everytime I change one of them. Also, when I export the whole timeline changes framing. Please help.  

Hi everybody. I need some with bulleted list.I work with FM 2017 (14.0.2.425). Most of the time I use it on my office PC, and everything goes smoothly in this case. Recently I was forced to use it on my notebook as well. I’ve installed the same FM version and placed all fonts used in the document to C:\Windows\Fonts. I’ve checked the “Myriad Roman” font is installed on both machines. However, here the problem began.On my office computer, FM shows bullets fine (the following illustration):However, on my note book FM shows the following:I’ve also checked that Zapf fonts are present on both computers.Any ideas what’s happening and how to solve the problem?Thanks in advance

Hello, I hope someone here can help. We're attempting to connect FrameMaker 2020 to Sharepoint online as the CMS for our global teams. I have a few questions:Has anyone been successful with this? We've tried both a Teams sharepoint and a communication sharepoint. Neither seem to work, In our Adobe support ticket Adobe suggests it's an issue with a changed API on sharepoint, however if someone else has that combination working, perhaps it's something else in our system that's causing an issue. I'm also interested if you're using FrameMaker 2019 and Sharepoint, if it works, and which version of Sharepoint are you using?And finally, if you're successfully using FrameMaker 2020 with another CMS, what options should we be looking at? Thank you for your time!Mary Ann  

About the paragraph catalog, what is the "check" symbol in grey (see blue lines) ? Why have I several check symbols in grey ? Because these paragraph tags (in grey) are not used in the document.  

Hello,In an existing file, I have selected "Courant", then I have pasted text (from internet to FM).Result : all my text in FM was underlined. In the paragraph designer "Courant", I see that "underlined" is checked.In the character designer "Titre souligné" is tagged, but it should not.And I see that each time I copy a text from internet to FM, all my text is underlined.Why ? 

I posted this question also in the Illustrator community, but maybe FrameMaker users will have more insights.I'm a "reborn" AI user. I used to work with it quite expertly about 10-15 years ago. Now I'm using it again, and it seems a lot has changed.Back when I was used it in the late 2000's, you could create a drawing in AI, save it, and then import it to Word, InDesign, FrameMaker, etc, and it would ONLY import the content of the artboard, not the entire artboard with all of its white space. Now when I create drawings and try to import them to FrameMaker, I get the entire artboard, and my graphic is just a teeny tiny image in the middle of it! This will not do.How do I fix this? Is it something I need to do in Illustrator? To import graphics into FrameMaker, it's as simple as Import/Graphic. It doesn't ask you anything like "Import image only" or "import entire artboard."It seems intuitively obvious that you'd only want the CONTENT of the artboard, not the whole artboard. Not sure why

Hi All,I know from before the direction markers are hidden permanently in FM but I found out during working in FM 2015 that is not hidden permanently, its appeared with some fonts so I have to select it and apply another font like Arial to make it hidden.Can we fix this issue in future by make it hidden permanently with any font?Thanks in advance.

Hello,I tried to publish xml file so I get css and html.but it doesn't work well.as you can see above pictures, I want move num4 list to another text frame box.Is it impossible to do it in html? or framemaker doesn't support this?

I am trying to get a table of contents to display chapter numbers for a report I am publishing in FrameMaker. The report is exported into XML from Access, then processed through XSLT to get into a structured format for FrameMaker. I asked a similar question at https://community.adobe.com/t5/framemaker-discussions/building-blocks-in-toc-for-structured-documents/m-p/14390625#M82579, but haven't yet found a suitable answer so I am considering another approach. I have added a read/write rule that converts the XML into several chapters as a part of a book. reader generate book { put element "Chapter" in file; }This works, but when I pull open the document, all of the page and chapter numbering properties are wrong (everything restarts numbering). The problem is that I want to be able to pull in this report over and over as I continue building it out and add things, but to do that I would have to manually click on every single chapter and fix the numbering properties for each

Imported WMFs and EMFs look great in FrameMaker; however, in the PDF (created using File > Save As PDF), lines in the graphics disappear. PDFs and SVGs look fine in the PDF.  Is this an Adobe Acrobat issue or should I be doing something different in FrameMaker? Thanks.

In Adobe Acrobat Pro I save my PDF to my computer, create the link on a separate PDF, and no matter what I do the link will not open once saved. I did this last week with no issues, what am I doing wrong?!?!

Hi, I've got some conditional text in a text inset. I've noticed that each hidden paragraph still takes up a carriage return in the document - it's just an empty line. It makes the spacing of my document look really strange. Is there any way to keep FrameMaker from creating an empty space where the hidden text is?

Hello again,   Thank you all for your help here.   I have another question.   How do you insert text or insert a new table between existing tables that are right on top of each other in a flow?   In Word, you simply hit a carriage return outside of the table. In FrameMaker, it's a mystery.   Here's what I've got. The red rectangle shows the tiny space between the two tables where I want to insert text. But there is no way to do it, it seems. I'd also like to insert another table in that space.   How do I do this?

Hi All,In my document I have several pages with footers & headers, and some without. I'd like to remove the footer & header from a specific page in the document. How can I do it without damaging the master page for the rest of the document?

I got this error:"When you create a PostScript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts. Please go to the printer properties, "Adobe PDF Settings" page and turn OFF the option "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts."This strikes me as bad practice. I only want to use system fonts and document fonts will muck me up.That being said, I could not easily find a way to fix this with Acrobat Pro XI. I opened Control Panel (Windows 😎 and found the printer and mucked around in the various ways to get to change the PDF settings (there are several ways, and some of them present the choices as bold and not just regular). I found two separate switches for "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" and turned both off, BUT that did not work.Frustrated, I went back to FrameMaker and clicked File > Print Setup and then for the PDF printer, Printer Properties. There I found a THIRD instance of "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts"
