It would be handy if After Effects could have a gradient fill option for text layers.I would imagine options for whether the gradient would map from the top to the bottom of each letter, from the maximum possible letter height to the minimum possible (so that it’s even across a whole line), or across the entire existing block of text - even with multi lines. The big difference between this and applying a gradient effect would be that the gradient would move with each letter as it animates with text animators. Right now, there is no good way to do this.

As discussed in another thread, I want to propose that Lightroom (Classic) stores data for AI denoise, AI super-resolution etc. not in the XMP sidecar file but in a second sidecar (maybe .acr). Only the pure setting (AI denoise/superres/... used/not-used & intensity) should be stored in the XMP file next to other editing settings. We like to have the XMP for better transportability of single photos. The goal is just to keep it efficient and lightweight. Reasons are: Other file formats can save 50%+ storage capacity (as they allow for more efficient binary storing of that data instead of text-encoded storing in XRM). Large XMP files slow down every other action that gets stored into the XMP (as the XMP file gets re-written after adding keywords, changing descriptions, changing exposure settings etc., which takes several seconds each, if the XMP is several MBs big due to AI-data). Advanced backup strategies can be used, if the ai-data (that could be re-calculated at any time) is stored seperatly from settings and metadata. PS: I also want to highlight that there is another slightly related proposal that addresses a different issue regarding the handling of the ai-editing-data within the catalog folder.
By default, Premiere creates a nest with the same resolution as the sequence it was created in. The problem with this is that if you are working with video/images that are higher resolution than the source sequence, and you nest them in the sequence, scaling the nest does not preserve the source media's resolution. For example, nesting a 4k clip in a 1080p timeline effectively converts it to 1080p, resulting in a drop in video quality when you increase the nest's scale. The typical workaround is to scale/reposition the clips within the nest (instead of the nest itself), change the nest sequence settings after you create it, or skip the nest feature and create a new sequence with your desired resolution, adding what you want nested to it, and then bringing that sequence into your main sequence. These workarounds involve way too many steps for something that should be simple. After all, a nest is just a regular sequence and has all the same settings as any other sequence.I propose adding resolution settings to the pop-up window when creating a nest. You can manually change the resolution or have it autodetect the highest resolution clip that is being nested. If the resolution is changed from the default, there should be additional options to resize the clips/media being nested (None, Scale, Fit, Fill), and how you want the nest resized in the main sequence (None, Scale, Fit, Fill).
Please make the "interpret footage" feature pass down from hi-res native footage to attached proxies. For example, if native camera footage is interpreted from 60fps down to 23.976fps, then the 60fps Premiere-generated proxies should be interpreted that way as well.
Basic sound edition like pan and volume in form of a bezier curves on a waveform view. We have it in Audition and it was in the Sony Acid Pro. Why launch Audition for one track when all I need is basic volume control change channel. or
Hello the team, It would be nice in the development module to set some options for the previous button. What I expect the most from this is the ability of applying ALL the parameters from the previous photo to the current photo, EXCEPT the cropping settings.Regards,Yann
Multi-select and batch manage multiple selections within a single mask Description:In the current masking panel, it is not possible to select multiple selections within the same mask. For example, when a mask contains several selections such as Object 1, Object 2, etc., I cannot Shift-click / Ctrl-click / Cmd-click to select multiple selections and perform actions on them together.Currently, we are forced to: Move selections to another mask one by one Delete selections one by one Invert or manage each selection individually I would like to have the ability to: Shift-click / Ctrl-click (Cmd-click on macOS) to multi-select multiple selections within one mask Move selected selections together into another mask group Delete, invert, or manage multiple selections at once This would greatly improve efficiency when working with complex masks and multiple detected objects.
I'm starting to use the improved color management tools, but I've found that making the color setup a sequence based rather than a project (or production based) option is frustrating. First of all, who (or why) would anyone want to have a project where they mix color setup workflows? I can't think of a reason why this would be needed. Perhaps there might be a small number of situations where mixing color setups in the same project is appropriate, overall, I think most people only need to work in one color setup workflow (the various rec 709 options or the various wide gamut options). As I'm editing a project and I've changed my color management workflow midway through editing, I'm having to reset the color setup of about 80'ish story sequences (all of my multicam clips, then all of my edited story sequences, and then my compiles of edited sequences…🙄) and convert them all from standard rec 709 to Wide Gamut (Tone Mapped); to get them all into the same wide gamut tone mapped color setup, instead of checking one switch to switch everything over in my project to the Wide Gamut color setup. In future, my basic sequence settings will be set to Wide Gamut by default (as part of my template sequence settings); but I think it would be better to implement the working color space option at a project (or production level)
You wanna play with the big boys in VFX? Good. This would be a nice step up to the plate. AE has no support for deep images, and its 3D is atrocious. You would need to fix a lot of the issues just to get this working, let alone usable.
It's on the tin. Raw formats and image sequences need proper import and handling via options that are readily accessible, as well as LUTs, color management, and colorspace transforms. How am i supposed to import linear raw EXR from blender without converting to log or rec709 or AgX? Why aren't there standard LUT import and exports?
Hi,In Premiere Pro, there is currently no native way to automatically select all vertically time-aligned clips in the timeline (audio and video) when they are not linked, which is a very common case when working with external audio recordings (wireless mics, boom, etc.).Typical scenario: A video clip linked to its camera audio Multiple external audio tracks perfectly synchronized but not linked Selecting the video clip does not select the aligned external audio clips Linking globally is not usable, as it results in selecting large portions of the timeline What is missing is a vertical selection tool or option, based on: time alignment the duration of the selected clip with optional track filtering or local linking after selection This feature would be extremely helpful for documentary workflows, multi-track interviews, and intuitive rough-cut editing. Thank you for your consideration.
AE's 3D tools are stuck in 1996 because they are a discreet effect and controlled as such. Proper 3D VFX workflows require a good deal of flexibility, an entire monitor full of options, shaders, baking, export forms, VFX standards adherence, 3D data I/O, etc. Worst of all, AE isn't even true 3D. It's 2.5D, and the decrepit codebase can't really be changed without essentially building a new software.Heck, Adobe owns substance 3D now, but to my knowledge has no software that really integrates with it, and instead has left it a messy toolbox of loosely related software with similar UI, and each has one main feature that most 3D software just put together to speed things up. instead of trying to jam 3D into compositing software, make 3D VFX a new software, and make importing the renders, or rendering linked data, very robust. We're talking better handling for image seuences, color space transforms, LUT's, EXR handling, deep image format, 3D track export, the works. Maybe something that can actually compete with... well, at least be compared to modern workflows.
It's pretty cumbersome to have expressions work with dropdowns because currently you can only get the number value of a dropdown. Here's an example:if (thisEffect("dropdown").value == 1) value = 13;else if (thisEffect("dropdown").value == 2) value = 50;else if (thisEffect("dropdown").value == 3) value = 100;Now let's say you use the dropdown to control 12 properties. Then you make some mistake or you decide to change the values of this dropdown. Have fun.SOLUTIONA solution would be to have a .textValue property of dropdowns. Here's how that would work with the example:if (thisEffect("dropdown").textValue == "Style 1") value = 13;else if (thisEffect("dropdown").textValue == "Style 2") value = 50else if (thisEffect("dropdown").textValue == "Style 3") value = 100Now the code is a LOT more readable and easier to work with.
Currently with scripting, Dropdown Menu controls are write-only, by using setPropertyParameters() with a text array to change the list of options. It would be helpful to have something like getPropertyParameters() to output the existing control options as a text array, so that the controls are read/write.
Dear Lightroom team,I am a long-time Lightroom Classic user and I am very interested in using Content Credentials in my daily publishing workflow. Currently, Content Credentials are still in Early Access and, according to the WP/LR Sync developer, they are not yet available through the external Publish Services / SDK interface. My use case: I publish images from Lightroom Classic directly to my WordPress site using the WP/LR Sync Publish Service. I would like to have Content Credentials attached to these exported images as well, so that the same trusted metadata is preserved when going through a Publish Service, not only through regular exports. The developer of WP/LR Sync has confirmed that they are not blocking this in any way and that they are waiting for Lightroom to expose Content Credentials to external Publish Services.Could you please consider:– exposing Content Credentials to the Publish Service SDK / external services, and– sharing any roadmap information on when this might be available?I believe this would benefit many photographers who rely on automated publishing workflows, especially for CMS like WordPress.Thank you very much for your work on Content Credentials and for considering this request.Kind regardsGeorg Berg
I would like to see a native AI-powered multicam editing feature in Premiere Pro that automatically switches between camera angles based on who is speaking. Currently, I rely on third-party plugins such as AutoPod to achieve this, but having this functionality built directly into Premiere Pro would create a more efficient, stable, and integrated workflow — similar to how the Stabilize effect works today. With video podcasts becoming a rapidly growing and mainstream content format, this type of automated multicam editing is increasingly relevant. A built-in solution would significantly improve editing speed and accessibility for creators and professional editors working with multi-camera interview and podcast formats.

The Paste Attributes window should have a checkbox of "Label color", so that you can choose also pasting the clip's label colour above all other attributes or effects you'd like. I know I would use it all the time.
