A side chain functionallity in Premiere would save me so much time. I understand that is a feature in audition, but when I'm just trying to use a compressor to duck music under a voice, sending the files into audition and back again is such a time suck. I still use audition if I am doing any major audio work but being able to side chain in Premiere Pro would be fantastic for those quick functions. I'd also have the ability to tweak it as I go if I change my mind instead of baking it into the audio files and sending it back to Premiere from Audition.
Especially with the advent of Productions, I'm making tons of Projects. Typically one for each scene of a film. It's really tedious and time consuming, however, because the folder/font size and the metadata display properties of a duplicated project do not carry over I need to change it repeatedly for each. Metadata display is particularly tedious because I after I load the metadata display settings, that in itself doesn't save the order of the different columns. All in all it adds up to about 20+ seconds for each bin project. Given that I make upwards of 60 projects, this ends up taking a significant amount of time. Time I'm not moving forward on my edit, and also a very automatable process.
I frequently am turning "Selection follows playhead" on and off, depending on what I'm doing (on for color grading or off while using keyboard ripple trim editing). I do this just as often as I toggle snapping or linked selection. Would love if there was a toggle in the sequence panel controls, in the red highlighted area in the screenshot below:
FilmImpact's powerful suite of tools includes one must-have tool for every vlogger - Motion Tween. It will animate your layer from the A side position/scale to the B side position/scale with a tween which you can control the easing of. Basically it removes the need for keyframes when doing zoom ins and outs. However, while it will work to move from one part of the image to another with a position adjustment, the borders of the image disappear when doing this. This is of course a FilmImpact problem that they need to solve, but it's also a Premiere limitation. Premiere doesn't think like After Effects does. If you take a clip, zoom in on it, then put Transform on an Adjustment Layer above that clip, the Transform effect will only see the visible pixels and ignore the fact that there are pixels to this clip outside the boundaries of the visible frame. That's the main issue that is being addressed here, because of how Premiere looks at what is happening on the clips in the frame it limits what you can do with them. Just want to bring this up as a point of interest. I know FilmImpact is in discussion with Adobe, I've talked with FilmImpact, but the issue is more than just supporting a single third party developer. This limits us from using Adjustment Layers in the most effective way inside of Premiere.
When LR tries to export a photo that's corrupt, the export hangs and never completes. It should produce an error message instead. Worse, there isn't a way for a plugin to detect and recover gracefully. The call to rendition:waitForRender() will never return, even after the user cancels the corresponding task in the progress bar. Several of my plugins rely on exporting photos, e.g. Any Vision. To reproduce on LR 13.2 / Mac OS 14.4.1: 1. Download this tiny catalog: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/48dtex70opjseeyhsm0hn/corrupt-bug.2024.04.25.zip?rlkey=hrf6fsoogaklqw77so3n723a0&dl=0 2. Copy the script "corrupt-bug.lua" from the catalog folder into the Scripts subfolder of the Lightroom settings folder. 3. Start LR. 4. Select the one photo and do File > Export, exporting it as a JPEG. Observe that the export never completes, with the progress bar showing: Also observe that the following error appears when LR is run from Terminal with the -traceback switch: 2024-04-25 18:36:11.364 Adobe Lightroom Classic[91358:6685632] openNegative: <AgErrorID>dng_error_bad_format</AgErrorID> 5. Restart LR. 6. Select the one photo and do Scripts > corrupt-bug. Observe that the export initiated by the script never completes (it should display a message when it does): 7. Cancel both export tasks in the progress bar by clicking their "x". Observe that no dialog is displayed by the script, indicating that the call to rendition:waitForRender() has never returned, even though the export has been cancelled.
Hello,I often work with the polygonal lasso tool. The problem is that if you click too quickly 2 in a row, well the selection closes. This could be interesting for people who are looking for this.As far as I'm concerned, I'm NOT looking for that at all. When I make a selection with the polygonal lasso tool, I sometimes close the selection by mistake, and then I have to start all over again (there's no going back once the selection has been closed...!!!).Where is the option to disable this behaviour? The option doesn't exist, is it possible to add it as soon as possible please?MANY THANKS 😊 PS:A similar request here (2010 already… !!!)https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/how-to-undo-unintended-double-click-in-a-long-selection/td-p/2640701
The only thing I'm missing in Lightroom CC is opening photos as layers in photoshopI want to get in Lightroom CC button which I could choose "Open as layers" in photoshop. I really don't like Lightroom Classic, and think CC version is much better, but it's not completely finished. At this moment this's most missing function for me.
We need to be able to convert SRT to VTT. Too many platforms use this, for this to not be addressed. Zoom, Webex, Youtube. Now a coworker announced it can be done in Davinci. Adobe needs to fix this as it has been discussed alot for years.
Please give much more options for Lens Blur boheh.like these: https://www.diyphotography.net/9-lenses-special-bokeh/I especially looking for swirly Bokeh options like vintage Helios lens.Custom bokeh (we upload bokeh pattern image) would be the best.Is it possible? 🙂
I was trying to remove a distraction on the corner of the image, and was only selecting what was visible in the crop and the remove tool was giving me weird results. Took me a while to discover that's because I was not selecting the full object till the actual end of the image, which was ocluded by the crop. What I think a better behaviour should be is, to show the whole uncropped image when you're applying any of the Healing/Remove/AI fill tools, with some minor overlay of what's cropped. If you're using those tool on a portion of the distraction you usually get weird results. Here's some Remove Tool results by selecting what's visible (after the crop) I can cincumvent this by drawing a much larger area outside the cropped frame to get good results. But... Not a bug but annoying: Notice how the pin is now greyed out. I can't select it as it's center is outside the limits of the crop.
It makes it visually harder to edit. Feels like making a puzzle that has pieces that doesn't fit each other.
Die Bilder hängen voneinander ab. Somit ist es schwierig nach einem anfänglichen Fehler noch die Kurve zu kratzen. Zudem ist ein löschen des Verlaufes nicht möglich.
Currently you cant share brushe strokes as a smart material across different models that have the same UV space Unlesss you paint in the 2D view. It would be awesome to paint in 3D view but cement the stroke detail in UV space so when you change a model that has the the same UV layout the brush strokes dont move if the mesh position changes. The work around currenrtly is either painting in the 2D view, or painting in 3D and then exporting those strokes out of Substance and then back in to create a smart material. which is super annoying. I have worked in games for 15+ years as an artist and was shocked this isnt a feature considering how much re-use it would mean for texture painting. Possibly its a bug?
There is no proper way to have reverb tail off naturally, other than with weird workarounds that are very clunky to work with. It's one thing that reverb applied directly to a clip or even on the track ends as soon as the clip ends (and therefore doesn't function as a reverb), but when it's sent to a submix track the reverb should tail off naturally like it does with literally every other programme. Premiere Pro really should have the proper tools to finish audio properly without workarounds.
could you plz make a scroll option on the with layer panel so when yo uhave more subfolders yo ucan still see it as it is now i cant see any ting after subfolder 3 . only like T ( text ) then 1 letter and ..... i realy hope we see that soon. just talk to you surpport he told me to write here
Please allow for a clip to be remapped with the linked audio track also synced up to it (ie if you make the video clip 200%, then the audio should also go 200% AND if there's a keyframe from 100-200%, then the audio should adjust accordingly)
Currently within the Marker Panel, one can:renameretimeadd comments to...markers. But the ability to change a marker's color is only available if you double-click on the marker and open a separate dialogue box (which freezes the rest of the progam). I think it would make sense for right-clicking to open a list of marker colors, allowing you to change them on the fly:Note: Right-clicking currently does nothing in the Marker Panel, so I think this would be a good use for it.
I would like to see an easy (one key press or effect) that allows for easy looping of a clip between 2 key frames or the layer duration. It could even have added features such as loop amount (which tells the clip to loop 3 times before continuing)If I have a section of a clip of comp or layer that I wish to loop, it tends to only be available with many steps, such as precomposing and enabling time remapping and then setting of a loop expression, with inane one-frame-shorter-than-you-want-so-you-dont-get-a-flicker approach. How much easier would it be to right click and select 'loop'!or Add an effect to the layer that allows you to set a couple of loop keyframes (default would be current length) and then added options there?Maybe even a oneclick button on the timeline that loops whatever length of layer is visible? It is such a common recurring part of animation, I am dumbfounded it is not already an intrinsic feature of AE.
For some reason, the Creative Cloud app doesn't list the full app names by which overwhelming majority of users identify the apps. For example, InDesign 2024, Photoshop 2023 etc. While I happen to know what InDesign version numbers mean (18, 19, etc.) because I deal with it daily, for the rest of the apps they don't mean anything to me. I have no idea what "Illustrator 27.x" is until I specifically look it up or compare to another listed version to make a conclusion that it's Illustrator 2023. We just had a user on an InDesign forum who wasted at least an hour because he couldn't find InDesign 2023 recommended on the forum. I can't blame him. Nowhere in the Creative Cloud app is indicated that InDesign 18.x.x is actually InDesign 2023. So please correct this omission and list the complete app names so users could easily and correctly identify the desired version.
I would like the ability to set a default bin for audio recordings made within Premiere Pro. Currently, recordings save directly to the project folder, which can lead to a messy project structure. Having the option to specify a default bin for these recordings would greatly enhance organization and workflow efficiency.
Please can you add. Source/record monitor switching. This will enable us to see the timeline of the source monitor which makes editing so much simpler and faster. Avid has had it for decades. Switching between the two is a joy and enables much faster editing and saves so much time.
Hello, we would like to ask when Premiere Pro subtitles will be available in Lithuanian? And maybe the program itself will be in Lithuanian? Many countries have subtitles in their own language, Lithuania does not. And it is very inconvenient. [title edited for clarity]
As a video VFX artist we are using photoshop alot for edit imagery, clean up plates, removing objects ect.But when you drop a LOG video file (10bit/12bit/14bit) color into photoshop it will always be a 8bit composition! Would love to have a function to keep working in Float, so you can export to AE/Nuke and keep all colordata!
Hola, quisiera que se pudieran guardar en la biblioteca colores seleccionados en After Effects, para que estén disponibles en otras aplicaciones a través de la biblioteca. Gracias.
I have more and more projects where the text needs to be translated into a different language. My text assets are usally a mix of MOGRTs and Premiere text. Now I have to manually copy and paste the translated text for each entry into the Text > Graphics panel. It's great that you can see all editable text from the timeline in the Text > Graphics panel, and even great that you can export that to a single file. The ideal scenario would be auto-translation built into Premiere, where you could cimply selet a lanaguage and have all your text automatically translated. Next best after that would be the ability to import the translated text file I exported back into Premiere and have all my text magically update. Any likelihood these workflows are on the roadmap to speed up translation workflows?
