InCopy

Hallo, ich habe ein Problem in Indesign. Egal, welchen Umbruch ich mache, der Text spring IMMER in den nächsten Textrahmen. Egal, ob ich die Tastatur nehme oder es über das Menü einfüge. ALLE Umbrüche springen immer ins nächste Textfeld.Kennt jemand eine Lösung?

Hi, when exporting a PDF from InCopy, the images are pixelated. (Readable, but not as sharp as they should be.) There's definitely no issues with the quality of the image files—I tried multiple sizes/types/resolutions. To test, when exporting from InCopy as an EPS, everything looks perfect. Also, exporting the same file from InDesign (to PDF) looks great. It seems the issue is with the PDF export settings in InCopy, but it doesn't give you much to change, and no quality setting. Has anyone seen this? If we can't export to PDF from InCopy, I won't be able to convince my coworkers to use it. I'm a longtime InDesign user, and never had PDF export issues with my images being blurred. Thanks! 

This is the first time our team has encountered this issue with InCopy. So far it is limited to just this document and we cannot find a solution. We have numerous other documents, all created the same way, and none of them have this problem. This specific document, when first opened in InCopy, is automatically viewed in "story mode" and looks fine. When switching to "Layout View" it shows the "A-Parent" page, which only has the header and is void of text. This creates a lot of confusion for everyone. What we would like to know is. How do we get it to stay defaulted to the regular pages with the text when switching to layout view? We just found the little selection tab in the bottom left corner but the majority of our end users are not tech savvy and would easily get confused by this. Is there a way to fix this?  We have no idea why it is doing this nor how to correct it.

Hi, I'm the second person at our organization dealing with a frustrating problem, after recently getting a new MacBook Air (running Monterey 12.5.1) and downloading InCopy 2023 v. 18.0.  For years, editors in our organization have been using InCopy seamlessly with designers creating publication files in InDesign and housing them on Dropbox for easy sharing.  About two months ago, one editor on our team started having an odd problem, though. When opening an indd file using InCopy, text was generally viewable -- until it was linked. Then it disappeared. With so much missing text, the files became unusable to that editor. Strangely, I was using a previous computer at the time and didn't have the same problem. I could access the same files and see and edit all of the linked text.  Fast forward to today and I have the new computer referenced above. Now, I've opened a file using InCopy where I could previously see the text. Now, that it's linked however, th

Why after CheckOut and then CheckIn icml file increase file size from ~50-60KB to ~3-4MB ?

Surely there is a reasonable way to move from Layout to the same spot in Galley, but after multiple attempts over the years I have not found an answer. Switching to Galley then having to scroll through hundreds of stories in an effort to locate an overset is siimply inefficient, much less frustrating. Please tell me there is a simple way to switch from Layout to Galley and land at the same story.

Hi there - Suddenly I find that I can no longer package Assignments for Incopy to email. Makes a package, but no iDat file is created and I just get a red triangle with no info! Can this be down to (bleep bleep) Sonoma? Regards DaveT

I cant see the right hand section of my document 

InCopy is showing text all spaced out and it hides almost all of it unless you scroll down, when the rest magically appears. I've tried updating InCopy, restarting my Mac and even deleting InCopy preferences but none of it worked. The only view that shows it even close to normal is galley, but even then it has one line on the first page and the rest of it on another page. Screenshots attached.

InCopy is not allowing a hyperlink to a page to be created. The menu pops up and everything is showing as it should but the Ok button is greyed out. All the other Link to options appear to be fine, it is only the link to page option that is not working. 

Running InCopy2024 on Mac OS 13.5.2. I was able to open a file and edit it, but as I saved the app crashed. Since then, then app opens, then crashes at the Missing Fonts window. I've tried opening other files with the same result. I've tried removing and reinstalling the app and the Creative Cloud app, and nothing seems to help. 

Can multiple users work within an InCopy file simultaneously? Obviously not within a "checked out" frame - but in other parts of the document?

Has anyone else had a problem with InCopy V19 (2024) crashing when the track changes are viewed?

Hi all, I just updated to Incopy 2024 and I noticed that the magnification widget that was located on the topmost bar is gone. Does anyone know how to get it back? I uninstalled and reinstalled the program to no avail. Thanks!

Have InCopy/InDesign versions 17.4.1 & 17.4.2 been deprecated in Creative Cloud?If so, where can I get the installers for these version?Thanks,Balazs

Can anyone advise on this error please?InCopy.exe Cannot load the CTRLCHANGES.PLN plug-in. it is dependent on the CTRLLICENSEMANAGER.PLN plug-in, which failed to load.

Hello, I am hoping that someone can offer some guidance for this issue. I am working on a PC running Windows 10. In InCopy when I am editing the content, if I hit Enter, it creates a page break and the lines get overset even if there is still room in the text box.  Is there a solution for this so that hitting Enter moves the text to the next line rather than creating a page break? Thank you!

Hi. I need your help because the info on Adobe web-site did not fix my problem.  Last week I activated a free-trial version of InCopy for a week, ending on december, 26th, and starting the paid version after that date.  Yesterday and today I tried over and over again to cancel my subscription, following the instructions on the Adobe Support page, but on my Adobe account I cannot find the subscription to InCopy. I find indeed active a subscription to Creative Cloud, but I cannot stop neither this one. Hi all,We are trying to figure out the best way to sync files between 4 people. Right now we are uploading and dowloading files to Teams, but this creates many copies and is quite cumbersome. With Creative Cloud Files being discontinued, does anyone have any recommendations on how the 4 of us can sync InCopy and InDesign assignment files without having to continuously upload and download? A server-like system would be great. Thanks.

Hello all,  I currently design a small magazine using InDesign and the editor makes edits via InCopy, naturally. We use Dropbox to sync and save files. As a freelance designer, I love to travel and work remotely. My question:Has anyone ever had trouble using the InDesign/InCopy workflow while being in a different country than their editor? (I've had no problems while being in different parts of the United States, of course, but I want to make sure I won't have any of those problems if I'm in Spain and my editor is in the US.) Many thanks!

Hi, my indesign colleague and I share a dropbox.  I can open the assignment he puts there, but it will only save to a folder on my computer that the program creates.  I've tried deleting that folder, but it keeps reappearing.  when I copy that folder to dropbox, it won't open.  I can't save the assignment from incopy to anywhere, it saves automatically only to that folder.  I can't even find anything online to explain how to save elsewhere. . . .

In upgrading to CC InCopy and InDesign, we changed our fonts to comply (New Century Schoolbook to  SchoolBook). Unfortunately, compostion titles (i.e. The Washington Post and our newspaper's name) revert back to New Century Schoolbook when typed and refuse to change to the new fonts, no matter how much we try. Is there an easy fix of going into the program to change those fonts so they show up correctly?
