Hello, I am fieldtesting macOS Sonoma and I encounter a few (very) annoying bugs with the latest Adobe CC apps (all up to date). For Photoshop I have the 2024 version, for all other apps mentioned it's the latest 2023 version of the app.   Bug 1: Adobe Indesign. The page is "flickering" when moving an object with the selection tool. This flickering can be avoided when hiding the "rulers" in Adobe Indesign with  CMD + R   Bug 2: Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop (2024 release): When moving a panel to a secondary computerscreen the submenu can no longer be accessed. When moving that panel to the primary computerscreen it works just fine.   Adobe (and I do hope Adobe reads this) … are these Adobe CC related issues, or something Apple has to fix?  For many professionals this will be extremely annoying if this doesn't get fixed. Hello, I want to create business cards using the data merge option in InDesign. I am working on Mac. Indesign wants comma seperated data. I experienced troubles exporting this comma seperated file in Excel or Numbers. They tend to be semicolon seperated only. However, the easiest workaround was using Google Docs which allows the export of such comma seperated file. Then, when importing my data using data merge, any special character gets replaced with wrong characters. Like é or à get replaced with ÅÃ etc. Google told me it is an encoding issue. I downloaded the text editor Sublime which allows encoding in UTF-8, UTF-16, etc. However, any encoding different than UTF-8 results in an error when importing the data. Any advice on this?Thanks!

I have small icon that is anchored object, its like inline text object. I have imported all via XML. Icon should overlap with some numbers, but I want it to be behind text, but it covers texts. Is it possible to have image behind text while its still kind of part of the text.  

Hi I’m creating a print book cover for Amazon and hoping you can help me please with what I set bleed as in the bleed and slug dialogue box in the screenshot below, when creating the document.   My book size is 152.4 x 228.6 mm (6 x 9 inch). Amazon says the book itself if it has no bleed should have inside (gutter) margins of 0.375" inches (9.6 mm) and outside margins of 0.25 inches (6.4 mm), so I have created the body of the book based on that. Amazon says the cover with bleed should have inside (gutter) margins of 0.375" inches (9.6 mm) and outside margin of 0.375 inches (9.6 mm).  So I’ve entered those margins as you can see in the screenshot below for the cover. My question is - do I also have to put numbers in the bleed part of the bleed and slug dialogue boxes? Should it be  .125 in all 4 boxes as I have put below? Many thanks.      <Title renamed by MOD>

Hi We are typesetting a publication with two different styles of endnotes and to achive what is required we want to import some articles normally and some with the endnotes as static text. We made two presets; one with the "Import as Static Text" checkbox toggled on and the other with it off. However, moving between the two presets it is clear that the "Import as Static Text" settings is not saved by the preset, which is a suprise to say the least. Looking inside the .smp file which is created I see no preference which could be saving this setting.  I have never come across this before and couldn't see any discussion online, except when this setting was mentioned in relation to a script someone was using to import Word files - maybe to workaround this very problem. Are there any solutions/workarounds to get the preset to work? Many thanks,Iain

In ID, when pressing Alt+double click, I want to open jpg, tif, PSD in PS by default. However, in resource manager (Windows), I would like to default to Honeyview to open jpg, psd, tif when double clicking on an image. because I find Honeyview easier to look at the image. Is it possible to realize?Thanks.

I have completed my book of around 300 pages. It has 90+ chapters and each chapter starts with an image. I need advice from the community refgarding the kindle version upload on amazon.   1. Is it ok to have so many images for epub ? 2. What is the suitable process for uploading a book with so many images ? 3. Or shall l remove the images in the kindle version ? 4. Is adobe indesign EPUB format is OK for kindle amazon format ?    Thanks  

I am getting tired of trying to understand the logic of gradient tool in InDesign.... Are you somedays planning to simplify this???? Why don t apply the same logic as illustrator?

Clicking “Replace” several times seems to be normal.But click Replace All, and all the text in the back becomes H2.This question has been bothering me for a long time. I seem to have done it in two parts before.How to solve it? Do I need to do this in two steps?Apply the style first, then delete the null?Can't it be just one step?Is it possible to implement this on regular expressions?(^\s*)(^[A-Z]\.)(\h*)(.+\r)(^\s*)

@m1b It seems that not grouping is only one aspect.It's meant to make the lookup hit an end point, but I'm still having trouble understanding it.I found one that works better, with the addition of an extra \s*,it can contain multiple blank lines, where your original one could only contain one.(? :\r\s*(? =\r)|($))But I still can't fully understand it originally. There's also this (? :^|(? <=\r)\r).

I've been looking for a long time and there isn't much available information on scripts.There are some scripts on the web, they only adapt to margin, and don't include bleed. Any of my friends want to support one?I'm all about setting object styles and building shortcuts for each file now.The actual efficiency is still not good enough.Thank you very much.

InDesign 20.3.1. Mac Sonoma 14.7.6. Most recent Acrobat Pro. So I create a rectangle, use Object > Create Text Field, then set options in the Buttons and Forms panel. I export to PDF using Interactive PDF settings, with Interactive Elements set to Include Appearance. When I open the PDF (in Acrobat Pro OR Reader), it doesn't recognize the text field at all.  What am I doing wrong?

I'm currently working on a project that needs Burmese orMyanmar subtitles. I've tried using different Myanmar fonts already but I can't get it right. Do Adobe products doesn't support Myanmar Unicode or other Asian fonts? Pls help

Too Much Pain and Harm: InDesign Find Interface Input Boxes with Too Little FontI've been testing the regularity for the past two days and realized that too small a font is too painful.Friends go vote for it. 

Every time I try to move a parent page, it applies the style rather than moving the page up or down. Please help!

Hi, After opening the app and If I try working, it is getting closed. I've installed and using on my desktop windows 10. does anyone facing this issue? How to fix it?

I purchased a new iMac a few months ago and installed InDesign along with Illustrator and Photoshop.  When I added the Canto plug-in (Digital Asset Management), it now shows up displaying a weird unreadable font.  I've tried everything I can think of.  I uninstalled and reinstalled both InDesign and the Canto plugin several times.  My preferences in InDesign are set to the US Dictionary, Creative Cloud is set to download app in English (North America).  I deleted preferences.  This plug-in is completely unusable until I can figure it out.  BTW - my co-working is running the same app versions with the same Mac OS and does not have the same issue.  

I am creating a form in InDesign. I need to be able to add tracking to the text the user types into the Text Field in Acrobat, so the letters are spaced out to fit within the little tick marks. Is this possible within InDesign? I attempted to add a Paragraph Style to the Text Field, but that did not stick when I exported an Interactive Form. I have the previous version of their form where this is accomplished using a Univers Condensed font. The spacing between letters within the tick marks is super clean. I could not achieve this so cleanly in InDesign with tracking (about 1060), but I hope the solution exists there, and not something that needs to be done afterwards in Acrobat.

Hello! I have an .ai file of my logo that I've used for years, and as recently as 2 months ago. It is an all white logo with a transparent background. Just today, I copied (not placed) it into a new document in InDesign and then saved the file as a PDF. Next, I uploaded it to my website, then tested the download myself. The transparency in the logo displays correctly in the file on my PC, but when viewed online, the transparent part is all white. I've done this whole procedure tons of times and never had this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance for your help! BTW, I cleared my browsing history, logged out of  Wix, and tried everything again. Same problem. 

Hiya! I'm making a little booklet, magazine thing. I think I've generally set up the bleed OK, but on the double page spread, the image doesn't show on the inside bleed, and instead that bit appears on the bleed on the other page, which is a blank text page. I think I understand why it's happening, the bleeds are crossing over. But I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hello, Since last week I'm trying to install the 'translater PRO' plugin from the Creative Cloud. I've tried a couple of times but in remains in 'installing plugin'. Even over the weekend, no result. Error code is 1002 but credentials were given.  I've tried all the troubleshoot I could find; re-installing everything, rebooting, the lot. It is starting to drive me crazy, since my colleague on the same company sub installed it in no time.  I have a brand new HP z-book, which is well qualified, no, it's not ARM.  Can you please tell me what else to do? I need to get my document pages to go the opposit way.For example the first page has to be the last, and vice versahow can I do that??

A colleague was working on a calendar and when I checked I noticed something strange, the text was slowly wandering up a little by little with every column you go to the right. I created a new file to figure out what was wrong and te same thing happened. Anyone have an idea what is going on here, apparently you can only use whole points for vertically spacing text otherwise this happens?Tried different Indesign versions 19.x and 20.x and fonts. The only thing that fixes it, is either using whole points for all values or create outlines, then the alignement is fixed. I added an Indesign file with a generic font so you can replicate what happens.
