Confused as to what LRC catalogues etc I can delete, I do delete old backups and just keep a couple, but it's the catalogues that's confusing. Attached is a screenshot, what's safe to delete please.ThanksPeter
I opened lightroom and all previews that were present and working properly a few weeks prior were gone. A Onedrive notification shows lots of lightroom files (not the photos themselves) had been deleted. Now I'm unable to successfully run the build standard size previews command on any folder over 10 images or so. Deleting the previews.lrdata folder (as suggested in various other help topics) doesn't prompt the previews to generate or allow the command to work. Signing out and back in to creative cloud doesn't help. I know I need to get Onedrive out of my workflow but some way to see thumbnails without going through 18,000 images in batches of 10 would be appreciated.
I have the need to search for images based on their pixel dimensions. For example I want to find images that have a horizontal or vertical dimension of more than 1000px. The pixels dimensions are recorded in the metadata but I cannot see a way of searching or filtering by such criteria.
Hello,I am unable to launch the new version on lightroom on all my computers. I tried clean desinstallation and reinstallation and many other things like switch off the GPU support but nothing works. The only thing working is to put back the 14.4 version or above. Do you have an idea of the problem ? Thank you by advance for your time.{Crash report attached by mod}
When attempting simple editing in LR using masks the selected areas of the mask automatically become underexposed by 0.7 stops and the tone curve reflects this underexposure. This was being done using the people mask and idenifying the skin portions. When the mask is prodcued these areas appear black on the screen before doing anything.
So, when you stack images in LR (for instance, bracketed groups), then select individual stacks, choosing "Edit in Photoshop as Layers" performs as expected, sending the images in the stack to Photoshop as layers. However, if you select two or more stacks and then choose "Edit in Photoshop as Layers", instead of opening a photoshop file for each stack, with each image in any given stack opened as layers, LR opens a single PS file, wth the top image from each stack as a layer. For the life of me I can't understand why anyone would want this.Wouldn't it make more sense to open a Photoshop file for each stack, with each image in the stack as a layer?
Hi all, I have a huge pictures collection of my daugters from birth to 18+I've tagged them with face recognition tool within LrCI'm looking for a way to extract Faces from her from all pictures and a way to reorder them to make a timelapse video of their face evolving with age. Any idea of how to do this ? Regards
Strangely, synchronize-folder is no longer working as expected. The import dialogue appears, and it detects that there are approximately 1200 images in the folder to be imported in-place. However, the action doesn't proceed; it simply hangs and never imports the images. Bonjour, J'ai installé la v14.5 et depuis je n'arrive plus à faire les sauvegardes. (Since the version 14.5 I can't make a backup)Je suis sur Windows 11, la carte graphique est à jour. J'ai vérifié le chemin pour les sauvegardes: 😧 BackupsJ'ai vérifié la place restante sur le 😧 => 512Go sur 1.81 ToJ'ai supprimé le fichier trop volumineux des previews ( I checked the way to the backup, I have enough place of the harddrive, I delete the previews) Suite à tout cela j'ai remis la version 14.4(Back to the old version 14.4)Là j'ai installé la version 14.5.1, mais le problème persiste. (with the latest version 14.5.1, I have still the problem with the backups)Retour à la version 14.4(back again the 14.4) Est-ce que quelqu'un a une piste, une idée, ou le même souci? En vous remerciant
When importing images into LRC, while viewing in the Library mode, they look properly exposed; as shot in camera. When switching to the Develop mode, the images appear properly exposed for about 1 second, but then they switch to very dark; i.e. at least 2-3 stops too dark. How do I correct this?
Just noticed that there are two versions (2024 & 2025) of PS installed on my PC and LRc was actually linked to PS 2024. There was no any issue in the past with PS 2024 (using upto 6GB RAM) when saving edited file back to LRc. But once removed PS 2024 and used only PS 2025 (with AI removal) then LRc is now staring to crash when an edited file saved back to LRc. The crashing is clearly memory usage related - LRc using upto 12 GB RAMs & PS using upto 9 GB RAMs. At same time the GPU is using up to 14 GB RAM. I have 32GB RAM, 3GB GPU RAM with 13GB shared RAM. When adding it all togather, it is almost all 35GB are used by both PS (GPU) & LRc (GPU). Configured 32GB page files (virtual memory) to fix LRc crashing issue but now LRc is still crashing once reached to this limits. This is clear a bug in LRc when it is running in the background to receiving file from PS.
Lightroom Classic says that it is always uploading 9 photos. (It used to say 3 photos.) Clicking on the little cloud in the upper right corner of the Lightroom Classic window shows that message about uploading 9 photos. It's been that way for years and across versions of Lightroom Classic. It continues in Release 14.4 on Windows. The Preferences Sync page says there is no sync activities. Rebuilding the sync data does not resolve the problem. @Sameer K, in another thread, suggested looking at Lightroom on the web and checking Deleted files, but there are no problem files there. Optimizing the catalog does not resolve the problem. This is not a major problem, just an annoyance. Lightroom still shuts down fine.
Since upgrading to LrC 14.4 I have noticed major issues with stars, flags, colors (possibly other meta-data, but not used in my workflow). Specifically when using a keyboard shortcut (e.g. 2 to set to 2 star rating), the change in status is not displayed, unless viewed in Loupe View (keyboard: E) and can even display inconsistently in different views. I am expecting behavior like previous version of LrC where such metadata is visible in the flimstrip, develop mode (keyboard: D), and in Grid view (keyboard: G) and that the displays are consistent in all of these. LrC v 14.4 MacOS Sequoia 15.5 (24F74) on Apple M1 hardware Steps to reproduce: A: In develop (or grid) mode press 2 B: In develop (or grid) mode press X C: In develop (or grid) mode press 6 Expected outcome: A: Rating of current image set to 2 stars. 2 stars displayed on film strip, 2 stars displayed below image when in grid mode B: Flag of current image set to reject. black X flag displaye
Hey guys, I've been experiencing Lightroom Classic performance issues for a long time now. I've tried numerous "fixes" such as: going to the performance tab and doing all the recommended things to improve performance, building smart previews, optimizing the catalog, all files, and the catalog are all saved on my local drive, syncing with the cloud is turned off. still, it's a pain to use the software. I've kind of gotten used to it being so slow; however, at times it's too much. Especially considering that I have a pretty up-to-date system. I do not have any issues whatsoever with any other Adobe software. Here's a bit more information on what I mean by "Lightroom Classic running slow":Opening up Lightroom Classic from the taskbar with a catalog of 127 pictures takes about 1 minute!! In comparison to other Adobe software, fully opening a Premiere Pro project took about 15 seconds. After a minute + of opening Lightroom CC and it being laggy it starts workin
Ive read most of the previous posts on this but havent found a solution to my issue. On 2 differenent machines (mac studio & macbook pro) I am unable to get the calibrite profiles to save anywhere OR show up in LR. Im certain theres something Im missing but I really can't figure out what it is. Whecn creating the calibrite profile it says it's saving it in user > library > app support > adobe > camera raw > camera prrofiles. It will tell me 'Profile created successfully but the camera profiles folder is empty. I even tried saving it to the desktop in hopes I could manually upload it in LR as well. Doesnt show up there either. What am I missing here? (Ive also installed and uninstalled calibrite profiler several times)
can anyone tell me what happened here?
Is there any way to turn off the AI portion of syncing my edits? When I do my usual edit syncs (click my edited image, select a few more, and Sync Settings), it now pops up with this window that says "Your edits were synced, but updating AI settings may take some time." I have the option to Stop the AI sync, but I have to click it every time. It just showed up today and it's making my syncs take WAY longer. When I click Stop, my edits still sync as usual, but it's pretty annoying to have to click that extra button every time. I can't find any way to make it stop doing this. Anyone?? I'm using Mac OS Big sur, 11.7.8, Lightroom Classic version 12.4 (recently updated)
Lightroom images not updating preview with edited content within Library and sometimes the Develop module after external editing within Photoshop. This has been an ongoing issue with Lightroom Classic many versions back - it’s well overdue a fix! The current Lightroom workaround with limited success is to right-click the image - Metadata/Read Metadata from File.If that doesn’t fix it, you have to remove the image from Lightroom and synchronise the folder the image resides in to re-import the image in place again. This always corrects it. However, it makes for a very tedious workflow - So I'd love a bug fix for this! Oh, and by the way, optimising the catalogue doesn’t seem to help either. Running latest versions of Lightroom Classic 14.2 - Photoshop 26.5.0Mac Studio M2 Ultra - 64GB - Sequoia 15.4
When I am in the Library in LR Classic, it can take 3-4 seconds in between images before the tiling finishes. Would getting a new GPU with a benchmark score of 12,000 resolve this? My current GPU has a benchmark score of 6,800. Both have Direct X12. Both GPU's have 12 gig of RAM.
Hey I'm trying to open a Catalog from Sept. 2023 but it says it's corrupted... it tries to repair it and LR crashes at about 40%. I also tried older backups of the same catalog: same result. I really have no idea what could possibly have gone wrong. I never had this kind of issue.
