Lightroom Classic

In Develop module/Soft Print mode, My "Create Proof Copy" button is AWOL (LrC 13.4, Mac Sonoma 14.5). To send photos to a print house, I need to modify them so they will print accurately. I want to maintain a copy of the original and a copy (as .dng before export as .jpg) of what I send to the print house. Ideas? Thanks!

I had to create a collection that contained photos from many different dated folders. Then I wanted to delete all those photos. As it's not possible to delete a photo from viewing a collection (which seems strange to me but anyway...) I had to use the "go to folder in library" option and delete from there. However that leaves the navigation pane halfway (or more) down the list of folders, when I want to be back in my collection. So I have to move the scrollbar all the way to the top, expand the list of collections, select my collection and repeat the process. It was really tedious. Is there anyway to either (1) collapse all the open folders with a keyboard shortcut so I don't have to scroll up to the top again or (2) use a keyboard shortcut to go to collections in the navigation pane?

Lightroom Classic is really slow, everything including zooming, masking, panning.. Yes I have last drivers, yes I have studio driver, yes i setup driver to prefer max perfotmance, yes i have extra catalog for each shooting, i7 9700K + RTX4060Ti + 64GB RAM, fast SSD.. and this software getting more and more slow with every update. Is there a way to speed up LR?

I have multipul backups but cannot seem to load any of them it happened with a window mad swiich and to add insult to injury i cannot find the windows hard drives that i pulled when I took the home tower out.any any help will bless me. this has been devastating. 

I would like to remove the -2 at the end of my photo file names after moving them, that gets added if I did not clean out my import folder. Is it possible to automate this?

I just purchased a new camera, Panasonic Lumix FZ80D. I wasn't able to upload photos to Adobe Lightroom Classic and figured I needed to download to the latest version of the application. However, the download failed and I got the message that I wasn't able to overwrite with the same version. I'm sure I wasn't using the latest version but now I can't check because I can't open Lightroom at all and get the message "The application Adobe Ligntroom Classic can't be opened." What do I do now?   Doris    P.S. I have a MAC

Raw defaults aren't applied to a Denoise DNG when the DNG is imported. To reproduce in LR 13.2 / Mac OS:   1. Download, unzip, and open this small catalog in LR: https://www.dropbox.com/s/ewd4kyct5pqw4t9/raw-defaults-bug.2024.05.19.zip?dl=0   2. Do File > Import Develop Profiles And Presets and import "Exposure = 5.xmp" from the catalog folder.   3. Set Preferences > Presets > Raw Defaults > Global to User Preset: Exposure = 5.   4. In the Library Folders panel, right-click the folder "raw-defaults" and do Synchronize, with Show Import Dialog Before Importing. Ensure that Build Previews: Standard and Develop Settings: None are set.   5. Observe that the raw default preset Exposure = 5 has been applied to IMG_9340.DNG (an Apple ProRAW photo) but not to DSCF2425-Enhanced-NR.dng (made with Denoise).    6. Edit DSCF2425-Enhanced-NR.dng in Develop. Observe that Exposure = 0.   7. Click Reset and observe that Exposure is now 5.

Have been noticing since installing LRC 13.4, performance on my M1 iMac is very slow and now is causing serious crashes.   HW: iMac M1, 8GB RAM, LR catalog lives on an external M.2 drive.  Been using this drive and hardware for several years without a problem.  Disk Utulity shows external drive is fine. I have a large catalog (~2,5TB) setup on the M.2 with 1 folder per year, and subfolders using the YYYYMMDD_TITLE format. Since installing 14.6.1 yesterday, I tried to access a 2019 folder.  LR indicates there is noting there and I get a spinning beachball.  In a minute or two, LR crashes AND I get a notification that the external droive has been ejected.  My iMac requires a reboot for the M.2 drive to be recognized agaion. Acccessing the past couple of jobs/subfolders in the 2024 folder on the M.2 is OK ... slow ... but no crash. I can access the entire M.2 drive through Finder, and with other image programs such as NX Studio (Nikon

I am experiencing the spinning wheel every time I try to export a photo from Lightroom. This wasn't a problem until I loaded some presets. Now I'm not sure how to save my work or fix the issue. Does anyone have any ideas?  Thank you in advance!

Hi guys,My camera always sees my Extreme Pro Sandisk 128 GB memory card. My LRC on the other hand ... not always; it sometimes takes cajoling. Is it a matter of aging copper contacts (or whatever they are called)? Or is it jut dirt?  Any ideas?  Thanks a lot.

Hello! One of the files in my LRCC catalog on macOS ("lightroom catalog-v13 previews.lrdata") is very large, already over 25GB, and I don't have many photos, around 1,000 to 1,500 RAW files. In creativecloud I have about 5GB occupied. It seems that this file increases in size exponentially. How do I get lightroom to run on Widows 11? The error is 0x8007016A which deals with Onedrive, I tried what was suggested which was to remove the CURRENT file. So, I now have LrC v13.5. Fine, but I do not see any mention of that in the community, Nothing in Announcements. And via a Google search, nothing in any Adobe Page, or anywhere else. (/edit/ see followup bellow)    And, as visible in the first screenshot, an update to Lr, and to ACR. Bonjour à toutes et tous,Lors de de la fusion d'un panorama ou de photos HDR, l'image finale ce retrouve dans un dossier à part de celui de départ, alors que mes photos sont bien dans le même dossier, et si je coche de créer un pile une fenêtre s'ouvre m'indiquant " Les plies ne peuvent pas contenir des photos stockées dans des dossiers différents" alors que toutes les photos comme je l'écris plus haut  sont dans le même dossier.Je ne comprend pas pourquoi le panorama ou la fusion HDR ce retrouve dans un dossier à part a lors que dans mon finder la photo est bien dans le même dossier.Je suis sur Mac OS Ventura la dernière version ansi que LRC.Y a t'il un paramêtre afin que le panorama ou la fusion reste dans le dossier d'origine dans l'explorateur de LRC ?Merci à toutes et tous de votre aide.

Today I used Generative Remove AI in Lightroom for the very first time. Nevertheless I have now encountered a problem. Since then, every time I click the Erasure Tool button my photo changes from color to black and white. Does anybody have an idea what's going wrong? Why can I no longer edit the photo in color (the problem occurs both in Generative Remove AI and in the old situation as I was used to). In short, when I click the Erasure Tool button the photo immediately changes from color to black and white. Thank you very much for your cooperation!! Hi everybody, I'm a Lightroom user with a MacBook Pro 2,3 GHz i9 8 Core Cpu and 16 Gb Ram. I'm experiencing a very high usage of CPU and RAM even if I'm just scrolling through the gallery (like 160%), and if I edit some images, sometimes I get that my photos appear to be glitched, with red and green stripes on them, but only the photos, not the entire screen. HiI recently edited some headshots in photoshop using the raw sony files I had everything set to SRGB. Im using a Dell Monitor which is set to display as SRGB and my macbook pro which I also have set to SRGB display. Both macbook and monitor image looks the same.When I import the file into lightroom for the final colour edit changes it to looks the same and I have set the export as jpeg/SRGB. On my monitor and macbook my picture looks as intended the issue is when I open the same picture file on several of my phones the image is completely over saturated and the image is ruined.My understanding was setting everything to srgb was the safest way to export images to be viewed on multiple devices. But this is not the case for me or am I do something wrong? I sent the files via we transfer for the client to look at which she downloaded via her phone and the same issue happened she appeared way to saturated in the images. How can I fix this?

Hello, I have several photos in Lightroom Classic with only the smart preview downloaded even though the original exists in the cloud. Is it somehow possible to force LrC to redownload those pictures or to reset a collection to download the images again? Thank you!

I ht Auto in the develop module and it takes several seconds before anything happens.  I hit R to go into crop mode - same thing. I am on an M1 Macbook pro with 64GB of memory.  This has never happened before.   Help?

Some of my lowest-light photos have had this sort of colored-noise problem (artifacts?) showing up for the past few months. Any idea what is causing it? It's been since I got a new Macbook Pro (M2 Max) and also around the time that Denoise AI was introduced. It doesn't look like typical noise, and part of my problem is that my photos look great in the develop module when I'm viewing the full photo, but if I zoom in or even go to the library module it shows the artifacts. It also shows them on exported jpegs, so it's really making me questsion all of my editing choices if the final output isn't necessarily matching what I'm seeing in the Develop module. So far I've tried adjusting the picture profile, playing with different types of "previews", and adjusting manual denoise settings. I've also tried turning on and off the graphics processor setting in the performance tab.I've attached two jpeg exports of a photo (one without any denoising, and one with Denoise AI), as well as t
