Once I process all of my photos, my workflow is to delete all of the “rejects” and then rename the remaining photos sequentially. I use the following workflowSelect all photos Library | Rename Photos File Naming: Custom Settings Edit… [Custom Text] - [Sequence # (0001)] Custom Text: “DATE EVENT LOCATION” Start Number: 1 [OK] Expected Result All files are renamed like “DATE EVENT LOCATION - 0001.cr2”, “DATE EVENT LOCATION - 0002.cr2”, ... Actual Result Most file are properly renamed About 20 out of 4,000 photos from a particular shoot will be renamed (for a reason I don’t understand, hence the bug report) with a post-pended “-2” “DATE EVENT LOCATION - 0700.cr2” “DATE EVENT LOCATION - 0701-2.cr2” <--- unexpected result “DATE EVENT LOCATION - 0702.cr2” This is on a MacBook Pro M4 Max (stock with 4 TB internal) running Tahoe 28.3.1(a) on Lightroom Classic 15.2.1. This appears less professional than I would like and makes it seem as if there is a “original” v
Hi everyone,I am entering in a student photography competition and I just want some feedback on my photos before I submit them. Thank you in advance
I purchased a subscription for Lightroom and Photoshop. However, recently when I try to open the Lightroom desktop version, nothing happens—it doesn't open, and no error message appears. The same thing happens with Lightroom Classic. Meanwhile, Photoshop opens and works normally.
When Rename Photo is applied to a virtual copy, the Example line in the dialog uses the virtual copy’s metadata, but the actual rename uses the original’s metadata. They should both use either the virtual copy’s metadata or the original’s metadata. (I think it’s more useful and less confusing for the actual rename to use the virtual copy’s metadata, but assuming the current behavior is “as designed” rather than “as coded”, then the Example line should be fixed to use the original’s metadata.) To reproduce on LR 15.2.1 / Mac OS 26.2: 1. Download and open the attached tiny catalog. It contains the original x.jpg and a virtual copy of x.jpg. All the editable metadata fields of the original contain “j” (for JPEG) or the number 1, while those fields of the virtual copy contain “v” (for virtual copy) or the number 2. 2. Select the virtual copy and do Library > Rename Photo. 3. Edit the template to contain just the token Title. Observe that Example: says “v.jpg” (since the virtual copy’s
Currently the Previous button is useful, PROVIDED you only want to apply those setttings on the next image you select. But what happens if you are scrolling past multiple frames of the same scene and then decide you want to apply those ‘previous’ settings, then you have to go back to that original edit and copy/paste it. It’s a total waste of time, especially if, like me, you use copy and paste to store your preset look adjustments to speed up workflow (so you don’t have to go up and click on the preset for each image for large volume event / product edits). Please modify the Previous button so it doesn't forget the last edit when you click on more than one other thumbnail (as happens now) and the workflow will be supercharged. Or at least make this AN OPTION YOU CAN TOGGLE on/off on the PREVIOUS BUTTON. I cannot tell you how much going back and forth this would eradicate - with Copy/Paste for your preset look together with previous for the last ‘entire’ edit (incl. crop / remove, etc)
Can I export full size jpeg to an external hard drive instead of burning to CD or DVD?
Create collection in LR not working. I click the button, nothing happens. Even with Smart Collection too.. no error message or anything. I’ve tried to reset the preferences, I created a duplicate/new catalog. Nothing is working. Also, I can duplicate a collection, but I cannot rename it..
Hi everyone,I'm having an export issue in Lightroom Classic. When I export a processed photo, the result is brighter and has less contrast than the original in Lightroom.I've tried exporting as a 16-bit TIFF using all available color spaces (sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB). When I re-import the exported file back into Lightroom to compare it side-by-side with the RAW, it is still brighter. This confirms the issue isn't coming from a Windows viewer or a display profile.Even the histograms in Lightroom are noticeably different between the RAW and the exported TIFF. Has anyone encountered this or have any ideas why this is happening? Thank you in advance :)
When trying to import a large amount of RAW files from a folder from Google Drive Client into Lighroom Classic, it hangs and stop reacting and has to be stopped by “killing” LR Classic. To verify if that problem has to do with the large size I tried the following steps:Moving the folder with large size(23 GB) from Google Drive to another location which is not on Google Drive → LR Classic Import works fine Creating a new folder whith much smaller file size on Google Drive → LR Classic Import works fine Trying to import large folder(23 GB) from Google Drive → LR Classic hangs and stops reacting I verfied:Files in Google Drive are fully synced Google Drive latest version installed Version info:LR Classic 15.2.1Windows 11 x64 25H2 26200.7462Google Drive Client 122.0.1.0
Hello 🙂 Coming back from a trip abroad I wanted to finally edit and export my pictures. Problem is, when exporting said pictures, it seems to crank up the contrast. So when I modify a picture in lightroom (simple and classic both have the issue), I don't have the true colours up until the export is done. Like working blindfolded... My screen is setup with a Display P3 ICC profile, I export in PNG with the Display P3 colour gamut. I've tried veiwing hte pictures with different apps and it still renders the same. So export problem. I tried to look online this issue, activated soft-proofing and nothing changed. I don't want to go insane, please help me 🙂 (you'll find a screen capture of said difference)
I've connected my Canon EOS 6D Mark II to Lightroom Classic via Tethered Capture mode. Everything seems to be working fine i.e. camera is recognised by lightroom, I see view from my camera in Lightroom GUI, trigger is responsive, I can take a picture with GUI trigger etc. The only issue is that pictures are not saved in the destination folder. They are only saved in the Camera's SD card. The same functionality works in EOS Utility software then something must be wrong with Lightroom Classic itself. I’ve tried removing SD card, changing destination folder, changing format to jpeg only, virtually everything I could find online. There is nothing in camera settings that I wouldnt have tried. Would you be able to help please?
Let me add text notes to photo, stacks of photos, and directories of photos so that I can record shot and processing details. I'd like to be able to print the notes along with an image thumbnail.
When I open ‘all foto's’it states 45480 pictures. When I select select all it states 45107 pictures of 45480 selected. Where are the 373 pictures not shown?

Running Mac Studio M1, 26.4 and LRC 15.2, Nik Collection 8 When exporting an image from LRC to Silver Efex (Nik Collection 8) the image returned is not opening in b&w. Anyone else experiencing this?
Hello, unfortunately I am unable to denoise photos using Lightroom Classic on Macbook Air M1. When I click denoise, progress bar shows and then after a few seconds(progress bar is in aroud 1/4) is disappears. Then efter clicking denoise it instantly unclicks. Reinstalling lightroom didn’t help. I don’t see any errors in logs(Lightroom started from command line).
Using latest version of Lightroom Classic with the Nik Collection 8 set of plugins, however, Silver Efex is causing some issues. After sending the image from LRC to SFX for editing the image sometimes doesn't display in B&W back in Lightroom.Anyone else experiencing these issues? Running a Mac Studio M1, Mac OS 26.4.
When I make selections in Printer Settings (in Printer Options in the Print dialog box) - selecting Media Type or Color Mode, for example - the settings do not stick, that is, after closing and reopening the dialog box, the settings have reverted to defaults. And when I print, some colors are off, suggesting that my settings did not stick after closing the dialog box. BTW I used the appropriate ICC profile and media type for the paper used. I uninstalled/reinstalled Lightroom Classic (saving preferences, etc.) and that did not fix the problem. Can someone please help? Thanks, Steve
Need some help, I am sure its probable my error but some how I "lost" the size adjustment slider on the botom of the grid view screen. I can still adjust the size with +/- keys, but the bottom of the grid is missing and tab.shift tab... do not bring it back. Thanks Bob
Dear Adobe Lightroom Support Team, I hope this message finds you well. I would like to formally request the addition of full Arabic language support in the Adobe Lightroom application. As one of the most widely used photo editing tools globally, Lightroom serves a large and growing user base in Arabic-speaking regions. Currently, the absence of Arabic language support creates usability challenges for many users, particularly those who prefer or rely on Arabic for navigation and workflow efficiency. Adding Arabic as a supported language would significantly enhance accessibility, user experience, and adoption across the Middle East and North Africa. Given the importance of inclusivity and localization in modern software, I believe this enhancement would provide substantial value to your platform and its diverse user community. Thank you for your time and consideration.I look forward to seeing future updates that support Arabic language integration. Kind regards,Hatem Alshammari.
I have in the past created and used still frames from videos... For some reason I cannot seem to get to my still frames... I see that I have made one and it has it stacked on thee same place as the short video... I used the control click to get to where it gives options like "Unstack" etc.. I have tried clicking many options there to get thee photo to stand alone so I can edit it and export it as a still photo, but to no success. Please help and please be as specific as possible. I am not a brilliant computer person, so screen shots and the like are often very helpful. Thanks so much for any help you can provide. T
Lightroom Classic 15.2.1 fails to import video files from my Sony a7RV (4K 10-bit HEVC 23.98fps 50Mbps) on my MacBook Pro 14” with M4 Max. The background process dynamiclinkmediaserver (version 24.0.0) crashes immediately upon probing the file, causing an "RPC connection terminated" error (-10001) in the Lightroom output (when I run LrC from Terminal).System environment:Lightroom Classic Version: 15.2.1 (though this has been happening for me since the end of December 2025 using whatever was the latest LrC version at the time) OS: macOS 15.7.4 (Sequoia) Hardware: MacBook Pro 14", Nov 2024 (Mac16,6) with Apple M4 Max chip Camera: Sony a7RV, 3840x2160, 23.98 fps, 10-bit HEVC, 50 Mbps.Steps to reproduce:In LrC, choose File → Import Photos and Video… Select a source folder containing video .MP4 files with the characteristics described above. Lightroom Classic already supports USB tethering for a wide range of Sony cameras. Adobe uses Sony's proprietary PTP extensions, which are documented in Sony’s “Camera Remote Command” documentation.Sony has released an updated version of its “Camera Remote Command” documentation, which explains how to add PTP-IP network support for cameras supporting Camera Control PTP 3 (models released from 2020 onwards: A1, A1 II, A9 II, A9 III, A7R IV, A7R IVA, A7R V, A7S III, A7C, A7C II, A7CR and A6700).Please add PTP-IP support to the current Lightroom Classic tethering code, so that users of modern Sony cameras can tether their cameras by Wi-Fi, built-in Ethernet or a USB-C-to-Ethernet adapter (depending on the networking support in their camera). Not only would network tethering support be a worthwhile feature enhancement, but adding network tethering will help to overcome user frustration and Adobe’s support burden from the USB driver clash between Sony Imaging Edge and Lightroom Classic on Wi
I tried Lens Blur on a few different images, it seems to super bog down my system, so I end up not using it. The weird thing is, even after I unckeck the "apply" box my system still runs super slow. If i do anything in develop mode I get the spinnig beach ball, or a super long delay time before seeing the results of whatever I'm doing. For example, if I drag my contrast slider down, I don't see the slider move to the left unill about 6 seconds after I drag the slider down. -This only happens when working on the images where I auditioned Lens Blur (but end up not using it) How do I fix this?
