Lightroom ecosystem (Cloud-based)

Aloha! I am brand spanking new to Lightroom CC, have no experience using any photo/editing apps, am not tech savvy but recognize I need to understand some in order to edit photos. I am an amateur photograper and all I want to do is enhance my photos. I've searched the Adobe site and Youtube videos looking for tutorials on very, very, basic "this is how you get started, this is how you import a photo from your Mac photo Library, this is what files are and albums are, how to use them, what editing options are available on Lightroom CC", etc. etc.  Ive not found any pertinent videos, they are either outdated or refer only to Lightroom Classic, not Lightroom CC. Can you point me in the right direction? How does a complete neophyte get started? Thank you my new Lightroom CC friends.

Hi,   I'm trying to catalogue my photos by person. I can't find a way on Lightroom 3.1 to delete all faces from particular photos e.g. blurred crowds in the background. This results in lots of random photos appearing in the keyword information for a person. I've only found a way to individually manually untag a person from a photo, but not to delete the tag altogether, and also not to untag en masse. This used to be possible on Lightroom Classic, as indeed it was possible to do the oppositie and create a facial tag - but I can't see any functionality to do this on LIghtroom 3.1.   Many thanks for your help   Andy   {Thread renamed by moderator}

Hello, I had an application on my phone that broke. I kept very important photos, and I logged in to the new one with the email I used to register in the old device, but those photos were not restored. I also bought premium and scanned it, but it still won't show me those photos. Is there any chance I can get those photos back?

Where do I find the healing brush tool in the Lightroom app? I am trying to get wrinkles out of clothing. 

I went in to work on some new photos and ALL my lightroom photos afre not accessible. I have to pay for the app now after all my hard work. Is there someplace i can access them?

I am now taking a lot of 4K video of wildlife. With Lightroom 4 I can easily capture a frame from a video and save it as a jpg.I would like to update to a newer version and downloaded the trial version of Lightroom CC. I see no way to capture a frame.I have found a tutorial that shows how to do this with Lightroom Class CC.Will Lightroom CC ever offer this capability? Is it there now but I cannot find it using the trial version?Thank you

After updating Lightroom to the last version i’m no more able to work on my archive of photos.Lightroom says has “found an issue with the local catalogue” and requests to exit or reboot but this does not seem to solve the issue!Screenshot attached:

Im having trouble with my files. I shoot in jpeg + raw, and before on mac lightroom would choose the raw file, but now it chooses the jpeg file, and I can't seem to change that. As I said its weird, because on my mac it didn't use to do that, and on my iPhone lightroom chooses the raw file. How do i fix this? I asked the AI, but it doesn't help. When i open preferences and general or import it doesn't give me the option to choose raw file, only if its the camera or adobe settings. I have encountered this issue twice: when using the Lightroom Cloud-based folder, my folder somehow vanished. I checked my deleted items and my trash bin on my PC, and it did not show up; it is just gone. Also, it does not automatically save my photos. I was using Lightroom last night on my laptop and am now using the folder on my PC, and none of my stuff is saved. I have to redo everything again twice. 

Am I complatly missing something?  I have hundreds of presets and orgainzing them in the most recent version of Lightroom is a nightmare.   1) I have to go each individual preset by preset to move it to a new folder?2) When importing presets I cannot name the folder for them?  They all clump under "user presets"? This seems like a crazy, ineffecient way to organize this information.  What am I missing? 

hi Everybody, I've recently decided to go "all in" with Lightroom CC.  I have started moving many hundred GB of images to CC, and started spotting many duplicates.  After searching around, it seems like there is no way to identify duplicates in Lightroom CC. Is this still true (Feb 2025)? If so, I do see Lightroom Classic has an add-on for finding duplicates... so I'm wondering if people would recommend moving everything from Lighroom CC to Lightroom Classic for de-duplicating, then back to Lightroom CC?  Seems like a lot of work, but I'm not sure other options. Is this an idea people have tried and would recommend? Or is this asking for a headache?

I am not exaggerating whatsoever when I say, quite literally, every single edit I make to anything masked, changes to anything with the lens blur, or any type of remove prompts an AI Settings prompt like this.I understand there are some features I used that use the AI settings, but is there a way to to like... I don't know compound AI Setting updates after like a specific amount of edits? It's really obtrusive. macOS 15.1 (24B2082)Lightroom 8.1

i encounter problems with my lightrom app. after windowns 10 updated. i couldnt be able to launch lightroom.everytime i open the app it kick me, i cant import files and editCan you assist plz.

I went to use the masking tool to select the background of my photo and both the select subject and the select sky tools are missing. It's as if they were never there. I have a premium account and just used both tools a couple weeks ago when I last used the app. 

My Lightroom had taken away my beautiful edits, edited a few pictures about two days ago, but today on going to check it out for more edits, and downloads, all my edits are saying failed to load development version. I can't access them anymore.   This isn't the first time this is happening, please I do need your help if you have any tips or idea it can use to avoid this next and probably get back my edits, thank you so much.

hi. i dont do photography much any more and am paying a lot for the storage of all my originals in adobe CC.id like to move them to my icloud drive storage.can you please let me know the best way of doing this so i dont lose any edits or smart previews, just move the originals and downgrade to a free plan.

Dear all,   I paid for my premium with my Apple ID account but the app still dont allow me to use premium features for more then 7 months now.  in my app store I see that I paid for 1 year.. what to do? Looks like it will not Sync or so...

Hello, I have an issue with the app. I logged in and got the 7-day free trial on my Mac. I edited some 50 pictures, but then I accidentally logged out, and when I tried to log back in, Lightroom app said that my subscription was purchased with a different Adobe ID. I panicked and tried logging in with all the email accounts I have. Nothing worked, as I was receiving the same error message. I could not access the pictures I edited and (of course) I did not save them to my computer. To make it worse, I tried to stop my paid subscription before the end of the 7-day free trial, and yesterday, my credit card was charged... Since there is no customer centre or helpline, I would be grateful for support in these two issues:1. Is it possible to access the photos I edited so far? (I tried logging in to Creative Cloud but they were not there)2. Can I receive a refund for the monthly subscription, if I stopped it before the end of the 7-day trial + I don't even have access to my account or picture

When I press on open innlightroom in the photo app on my iPhone pro max, I get to choose whether I want to open Lightroom now or Later, and when I press open now (it's my way of editing) I always end up back in Lightroom but in the same view as last time, last photo. So I have to go back and pick the new photo. it's not a major thing but going straight to the photo I'm importing would be so neat😉
