Hi, been using PS for over 25 years.After upgrading to the latest version of PS (27.4.0) it seems that Adobe is changing the dialog boxes on the Mac to look a bit more ugly and less "Mac like". Things like the dialog box font has changed to whatever smaller and ugly font Adobe is using in PS and not matching the Mac OS font as it has been for many years. It is just not a nice looking interface.Additionally in the new Apply Image dialog box (and others), it no longer remembers the previous values from when you last used that command, which was really useful and constant feature since PS 4.0. This even worked when you quit the program and restarted but now this is broken.Please lets retain useful functionality.

I’m integrating Shopify OAuth into a Photoshop UXP plugin and have a quick question.Is a backend (Node.js/Express or similar) mandatory to handle the authorization code and exchange it for an access token?Since the client secret must stay secure, can this flow be completed without a server?Would appreciate clarification from anyone who has implemented this.

Hello everyoneI  want to change the backround color (black) to CMYK 100% but without changing the shadows,so far I tried making one layer CMYK 100%-placing it to the bottom of layers then I selected the shadows and made a clipping mask and tried using color range but the transition between the shadows and backround gets to rough. In short,how can I make the backrounnd CYMK 100%,keep the shadows as they are and make a smooh transition between them. 

In the latest version of Photoshop, I can't use the canvas generative expand feature. When I try, I get a dialogue box with a message: Error 54: Uncaught JavaScript exception.... See attached image for full message.   Anyone else experiencing this? 

Hi, I’m trying to export a rendering that has transparency showing through a portion of the layers themselves. For clarity, I have no problem exporting to png or tiff without a background, but there’s a portion of the image itself that is translucent. In photoshop, it retains the translucency when i put images underneath it, but if i try to export it and use it on top of something else (I’m a testing this on a layer in InDesign) it no longer has the translucency to the underlying background. Any ideas? FYI, there are no groups to the layers, the portion I want to remain translucent is set to screen without anything behind it, and I’ve tried saving to web, saving a copy, saving as…. png and tif 

This issue is making me nuts! When I save a file I'm working on, if I have documents open in floating tabs, the one I just saved goes to the back of the screen and a random floating tab that I'm not even working on pops to the front of the file I AM working on. It's forcing me to reselect the file I was just working on and this is very frustrating since sometimes I'll accidently do something to the file that just popped up in front wihtout realizing it. This seems to be a bug, it's never happened before and there's nothing in the preferences that addresses this. Video attached.  (I need to work in floating tabs  since I'm often dragging and droppping from one file to another. Consolidating all my windows every time I need to save is not a realistic workflow for me. 

Lasso > around the object on a white background, include the shadow, then quick mask and fill bucket to select the area for the mask, then into  refine mask I brush the shadow, so that the mask allows the shadow to have transparency.So while its similar to select subject, select subject and its cast shadow.Its something I do repetitively and would be great if it could learn from me.

Working in LR -> editing in PS. After finishing processing and saving the work in PS, undeleted files remain in the TEMP space. Only closing PS deletes them. Prolonged work can fill the hard drive. Files should be deleted immediately after closing/saving!Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.2.0 20251213.r.15 e3408e7  x64 (final, Release)

Hi,How can I resize the text box without resizing the texts inside it? I search on Google and find the following article:https://graphicdesign.stackexchange.com/questions/42095/photoshop-how-to-resize-a-text-box-without-distorting-the-actual… However, I check the text layer in my PSD file, and there is only a "Type" -> "Convert to Point Text" menu item for it, which means it is already a "Paragraph text". The bug was acknowledged by the Adobe staff and is, for months, under investigation.Also I was able to select “-0” (negative zero) in the same panel. Both had something to do with the new, modern interface. In the latest version of Photoshop, there's another problem with the panel. This time in brightness.Double clicking the handle doesn't reset it's value to zero. Other panels (and even contrast, in the same panel) does reset the value.See screen recording below (which also show the -0 and “hardly able to select 0” bug). 

Open canon .cr2 raw file as smart object from Lightroom. Double-click on file to open Camera Raw. Light Panel: Make adjustments to Highlights, Shadows, and Whites. Optics Panel:  Remove chromatic aberration. Use Lens profile corrections. Click OK. Add Clarity and dehaze adjustment layer. why would photoshop web stop loading my image? What can i do to stop it? every time i reload the app it happens again

I have a bunch of Transparent PNG images and when I license them, they update as FLAT JPEGs in my PS Panel and in my document and I can't figure out how to keep them as PNGs. But I can go and download them and I get the choice of JPEG or PNG and they download correctly.  But then I have to drag them all in a update individually. I'm not seeing a preference that I can change to make them 'hold' as PNGs. The preview icon shows them as transparent, but says JPEG in the info next to it. Thanks for the help.

I have small photos of Hot wheels cars, I want a script to automatically arrange these Hot wheels photos in a way that they are alphabetically sorted from A to Z (left upper corner to right lower corner) in a square or rectangular shape (number of columns equal 50% of number of rows) and each object is sitting on 60% on the next object. Will add photo of before arrangement and after arrangement (the one I done manually and want is number 2) 

Bonjour ,Je traite mes petits montages vidéos avec photoshop 2026. Mes vidéos étaient prises avec un samsung A40 et je n’avais pas des problèmes. Je viens de changer de téléphone le nouveau étant un samsung S23. Photoshop ne peut plus ouvrir les vidéos prises avec ce nouveau téléphone.  L’erreur est “le fichier n’a pas pu être ouvert” . Lightroom ouvre ces vidéos.Pour le moment je les ouvre sous canva , je les enregistre , puis là, Photoshop les accepte.Toutes mes vidéos sont en format mp4.Merci de m’aider si vous avez une idée

In mac If i click the window below, the active window goes to the back, and the other window comes to the front.I wish it worked like Windows. 

yesterday Photoshop started opening the color settings dialog box every time I open it. Every single time PS launches this dialog box comes up. Any idea why this is happening?

When I launch Photoshop 2024 on Mac Sonoma,  a pop up says "Shift your perspective and hone in on edits by rotating the canvas." If I click "No thank you" the button changes color, but nothing happens to the pupup. If I click "Get started" the button changes color but nothing happens. Quitting Photoshop renders it unresponsive, Force Quit will close the app. Upon re-launching Photoshop, I'm presented with the same popup again, which will not go away. I have a deadline and can't finish my work.

My Photoshop Editing Workflow Question When I’m editing in Photoshop, I retouch the original image and save it. Sometimes I’ll then create a second version — for example, a different crop or a black-and-white edit.To avoid overwriting the first file, I add a suffix to the filename before saving the second version. On my Apple computer, when I go to save the new version, the cursor doesn’t automatically move to the end of the filename. Instead, it highlights the entire filename (everything before the .jpg extension). See attached image. Years ago the cursor would automatically land at the end of the filename, just before .jpg, which made adding a suffix much faster. Does anyone know how I can change this setting or fix the issue?
