I found other topic I missed previously before this bug was fixed where spec24 had the same problem:https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2452247It's not about missig post, but that you didn't fix this bug completely. On the occasion of reporting by that guy it happens again in 19.1.6 (not for me though) I'm coming to report that over 3 months ago I found this bug occurs also when 'Options Bar' is relocated, so either it decreases extremaly size of images while opening / creating them or give a message you can read in theme of this topic.https://forums.adobe.com/message/10588557#10588557I hope you're going finally to fix this bug completetly before next release?
The easiest way to reproduce the problem I'm having is to do the following:1. Open Photoshop and create a 1000px x 1000px document @ 300dpi2. Right-click on Layer 1 and choose "Artboard from Layers..." in the dropdown menu.3. In the "New Artboard from Layers" dialog, change the width and height to both be 1000px and click OK.4. Make sure you have the Artboard tool chosen and grab a corner to resize up to 4000px wide, making sure to hold SHIFT to constrain the resize.Expected behavior: Newly resized artboard would be 4000x4000 in size.Actual behavior: Artboard is no longer a square shape- the height dimension is now off a (seemingly) arbitrary amount.Stray observations: - I can do this with 2 documents side by side and the amount the height will be off between the 2 documents is not consistent. (can be higher OR lower!)- The error seems to compound over time if I repeat the resize process- especially if I resize up, then down.- The error seems to get larger if I resize to a very la
1) If I have move tool I can hold ctrl and select layers by mouse draging. I'm adding layers to selection if I am holding shift. (CTRL + SHIFT + DRAG) But if you want to deselect layer you can not select an area by the mouse, but you have to click. Which is pretty annoying if you have a lot 1px lines already selected. 2) Is it necessary that the selection causes disappearing of blue border? Screen cast here: https://youtu.be/wVBvm-meDrI
Hello !Today when I opened my PC I was notified that the Creative Cloud Desktop Application needs to be updated.I clicked on update, waited for it to finish and sadly it ended up with an error and I had to use Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to uninstall it. It has uninstalled successfully..After reinstalling it, Photoshop no longer sees my libraries. I have tried all the help links from adobe help website to fix the sync, delete sync file, sign in, sign out. Nothing works, I cannot see my libraries inside photoshop. I get the message in the title: "To use Creative Cloud Libraries, please update the Creative Cloud Application.
Does Adobe know about bug with Luquify Filter and Fill Layers when they are shown as backdrop. Especially (but not the rule) reproduced on high rez files, e.g. 5000x5000 or higer. When you try to show backdrop the solid color layer often you see transparency, or black, or white instead or real layer color. This can be reproduced on ps cs2, cs3 and cs6 x32 and x64.
In Photoshop CC 2018 the brush selection UI is really unresponsive. Previously Photoshop versions I could open the Brush tool with my Wacom pen button and select a brush without hardly looking at the brush palette and it would select it always. Now, very often it doesnt actually select it. I would say almost half the time I click a brush (I have the small brush tip icon look) it doesn't change. This causes huge issues for a painting workflow and I end up having to paint undo all the time or take a closer look that I actually get the new brush before starting to paint.
Kind of hard to describe but randomly when working in photoshop all of a sudden when Im using the arrow keys to move objects, it won't move by pixel anymore but jumps to moving like 10-20 pixels at a time and then I have to resave the file in order for it to work properly again. I'm using PS2018 on windows. So let's say I'm resizing an image and then I need to move it to the left. So I'll transform it, and then using the arrow keys I'll move it left a few pixels. All of a sudden though, maybe this is after a save, it will stop being able to move pixel by pixel and instead will force me to move by 10-20 pixels at a time. Something happens to photoshop where I have to resave the file again, and when I hit control + s it goes to the save as command, not the regular save. Hopefully this gives enough detail but this happens randomly so not sure how to track it down.
Photoshop crashes in this order:Play video on Windows media player, open photoshop, open image = crash. Error code 3 subcode 2 and / or Open GL failure. If photoshop is already open it will not crash if videos are played second then an image is opened. Once it has crashed it will continue to crash until the system is rebooted.Updated Win10, clean registry install of Nvidia drivers, All Adobe software updated Feb 10, 2018. Problem is now worse.
In Photoshop CC 2017 when I create document and set in Image Size its Resolution to 150 Pixels/Inch and I generate image assets all generated images also have 150 ppi.In Photoshop CC 2018 when I open the same PSD file and generate Image Assets, all newly created files loose source project's ppi, and are saved as 72 ppi.In my everydays work I heavy rely on generated images ppi, and because of that, for me Photoshop CC 2018 is unusable. Some screenshots.Source PSD. Resolution set to to 150 ppi:JPEG generated in Photoshop CC 2017. Still 150 ppi as it should be:JPEG generated in Photoshop CC 2018 from the same source PSD file. Assets generator changed ppi to 72 by itself:Please, change it the way it was in CC 2017 when I can determine what ppi of generated images I want it to be.
I am using LAB and curves to do some color matching with images and have run into a strange problem. It should be noted that I have been working on a ton of images over the last few days using the same method and haven't had this problem before. This is the first time I have tried to do this since updating Photoshop this morning. I'm also using the most recent version. I make my selection that I wish to alter and create a curves adjustment layer. Shift+Ctrl click on the second color selection. With that color point selected in the curves dialogue box, I click on output to change the number but the box disappears. I then click that point again to select it, the box appears again, and when I click the box to type in a number the box disappears again. I have already restarted my computer, reset the preferences, tried another file, and cursed. I'd greatly appreciate some help or ideas. Thanks!
(for Mac) I have lost about 12 hours of work so far because of a bug in Photoshop for video. If you go to Export > Render Frames, then open the options menu (for export settings), this menu can easily be trapped behind the Photoshop-windows. If this happen, Photoshop will stand-by (with the rotating circle icon), and thereby freeze, waiting for me to click OK or Cancel on the options-menu, but this menu is hidden by Photoshop. If I force quit for Photoshop, the Options-menu is accessible as soon as Photoshop shuts down, which is too late.
I don't know how that was in version 19.1.1 (and prior CC releases) which I installed as first one after many years of using CS6 EXTENDED, and didn't use because of one bug I'm waiting to be fixed, but today just testing something I found another one in 19.1.2.When once after launching Photoshop I click 'win' key (that is on left side of keyboard between Ctrl and alt keys) then Windows menu (and down bar) shows just for few milliseconds.Normally that should appear and be present as far as for ex. I won't press 'win' key again. It behaves so each time I press 'win' key, even restarting Photoshop. To make sure anything I changed in Photoshop affects this behaviour (like changed preferences, locations of panels etc) I reseted Preferences and Warning Dialogs. After reopening Photoshop (with default settings) nothing changed.I found that I may press 'win' key and 'd' what as you should know take me to desktop (or change application by 'alt' and 'tab'). When I then go back to Photoshop and use
I notice an issue using the mixer brush with sample all layers on, the performance is worse at certain zoom levels and at times it would appear to gradually decrease for every stroke until reset by changing the zoom level. I think this only happens on some zoom levels for example in my current res document the worst performance is at 50% or less here's what I do say at a zoom level of 50% : - select a brush preset from the the tool presets, -sample a part of the image and do a series of strokes of about the same length, when I zoom in to say 66% there is a noticeable performance increase in doing the same strokes. they finish faster and its more fluid. also it seems if I'm at 50% (slow) if I zoom out and zoom back in, the first few strokes appear to be a bit faster and then it gradually slows down. this is affecting my workflow as I find myself having to zoom to reset the performance of the tool otherwise it grinds down to a crawl. I'm on windows
Since the latest update of Photoshop cc 2018, when i open a picture i can't see it full frame but only a part because the zoom is too important. I didn't have this problem before update (at that time i could see the ALL picture) and it's quite annoying because i have to zoom out each time... and when i have to check 250 pictures after a day of work i turn crazy. Is there somebody to help me and save some time ?
In Windows 10 FCU 10.0.16299 Build 16299 using Wacom driver version 6.3.27-2 and Photoshop CC 2018 (19.0 20171103.r.190) the Select and Mask workspace immediately closes as soon as I use the Wacom Intous Pro tablet to zoom in/out. This happens using both the touch ring and my fingers on the tablet area to pinch/pull for zoom in/out. As soon as I take my fingers off the tablet (either the touch ring or the pen surface doing pinch/pull) the Select and Mask workspace closes and I lose and selection changes I did in the workspace as if I hit the cancel button or the Esc key.The problem also happens in the older Refine Edge tool. Soon as I use the table to zoom in/out the Refine Edge tool closes.I have used the same tablet with the same driver level on a Mac with High Sierra installed and the same version of Photoshop and it works properly there. I have opened a ticket with Wacom and at their suggestion have completely uninstalled the Wacom drivers and Photoshop then
Photoshop CC 2017 is giving this message: "Could not complete your request because of a problem parsing the JPEG data" when I try to open certain JPEG files. Same file shows fine in Bridge CC, Chrome, IE, irfanview, and is recognized as JPEG image. The image is downloaded from my Instagram account, but is seems that there is same issue with all images downloaded from Instagram.
In Windows 7 the WIA Support Destination folder isn't resizable:File - Import - WIA Support ... - (Destination Folder) Browse "Browse for folder" also always opens at My Computer level, instead of the previously selected folder. If it's possible to fix this as well it would be greatly appreciated. The problem also occurred with batch processing but this has now been fixed:https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/in-batch-processing-make-source-folder-window...
Hi There,I just got out of a chat with support and asked me to do a feature request here.I told her it's a bug! Here we go.I do architecture and skyline photography. To be able to do what I want I am stacking a lot of layers and use parts of each picture to create the final image. I am on a very decent Mac Pro 2013 with 64GB of ram and D700 graphics cards. The problem I have lies in the redraw times when enabling or disabling a layer. If it works fast it takes 3 or 4 seconds to update the picture on my screen. (so really slow)However when it really slows down it can take up to a whopping 30 seconds before the picture gets updated. Zooming in can take this long as well.So I have been investigating a lot I even brought my mac in for repair but everything was OK.It should be because 4K movies play without a hiccup.Anyway, a friend of mine with the dame configuration sold his mac after 2 months of trying. That's how frustrated he was. He lost 3000 dollars on the sale. (his cho
After editing or saving large PSB files (16bit, compressed) chunks of the image are missing or have color banded artifacts. Here is an example: I got 64GB of RAM and tested it to be sure that it hasn't any defects and causes the issue. I cannot complete my work anymore with this issue. Please fix this!
There is a bug in photoshop that has been around for a long while where if you save for web on an image it will lock the next open window to the top left of the screen. I can move the window to the center of the screen and everything works as it should as long as I don't save for web. Other files will open and the open dialog box stays where I put it but when I save an image with the legacy save for web command, right after that dialog box closes its locked to the top left again. Really annoying. Can we please get this fixed
Previously, Photoshop would automatically save the state of the "Relative" check box in the Canvas Size dialog across sessions, even after Photoshop was closed. Now, with recent versions (Photoshop 19.1.3) this choice is no longer saved across sessions. Why??Some of us always use the same workflow, i.e. resizing in a "Relative" way. Having to make sure this box is checked is clumsy, and frankly a wasted click. Can Photoshop please remember the state of the checkbox across sessions again, which is the way this dialog used to behave?Thank you. Hello,I use MS Surface Pro and Surface Studio, both with a Surface Pen and both with Windows 10.Since some days there is no more Pen-drawing possible with the brush tool on both devices (with each a single pen) in Photoshop CC. When you zoom in once, the pen works like a hand tool but not like a brush. The pen still works correct in MS Ink, OneNote and even in Illustrator.
Hi,I am having an issue when I press tab to turn my palettes on and off with the tab key. They are re-ordering themselves alphabetically instead of how I left them. For example the layers palette will be visible above other palettes, I will press tab then do some painting/working, then when i press tab to turn the palettes back on I find that it is buried underneath other palettes. Is there any reason that the palettes should not be exactly as I left them vs. re-ordering themselves alphabetically? Thanks
Ever since the last update a rotate doesn't follow the window size.I have attached a video as I believe this to be a bug.https://www.dropbox.com/s/9g4kqdezetxkqpj/PSPhotoRotate_Bug.mov?dl=0
In Photoshop CC 2017 (also CC 2015), renaming a layer or layer group after using the layer filter option causes the programme to crash. It only happens after you've switched the toggle off (so you are no longer in filter mode) and then rename a layer. It doesn't have to be directly after either. You can preform a number of tasks first (edit artwork/text, move/delete a layer etc.) and then rename the layer and it will still crash. The issue seems to clear up after an unspecified amount of time or possibly a certain amount of operations preformed I've been able to recreate this bug every time I've attempted it.
