Photoshop

I followed a tutorial with curves and the curves eyedroppers that made me go into properties and change some settings. Specifically the black eyedropper settings. Ever since then every time I use the black eyedropper in levels or curves or if I use auto color, auto contrast or auto-tone my whole image will turn white.  Is there a way to reset these options in photoshop?If I delete photoshop and reinstall will photoshop reset to its original settings?I'm so frustrated with this. I can't find the tutorial I followed either so as to undo whatever it said I had to do.... 

I have a huge issue with PS, i normally use LR but every now and then i select a photo and use "Open as layer" in PS. 99.999999% when i am done i press save. The photo will now open in LR.But sometimes, like now ! the bloody photo just disapears from the face of earth. If i search for the photo in LR, nope, no photo by that name. Can someone please explain (if you know) why it does like this and if the photo is saved, where is it ? (18sex from trashing computer, camera, keyboard, mouse and god knows what that comes in my way, and i cant afford that so ...)

Is there a way to disable all AI tools in my photoshop? AI is damaging the art industry, destroying jobs, bad for the environment, lacks heart, and I want it gone. I hate these pop-ups telling me to try AI. My art and books (I'm an author too) have both been scraped by AI systems, and I'm about to lose my mind seeing this slop everywhere.And don't call AI art; a judge already decided it lacks human authorship. Can't believe Adobe betrayed artists like this.

Chat GPT  told me so  but I am not sure if it's true .For example  I want to do height map erosion  by slope blur  in sbsar on top of smart object.   Can I have red channel as main  height input , the green as a slope  and blue as intensity ?  My guess SBSAR on top of a layer can't get an access to other layers  but perhaps can split RGBA into 4 grayscale ones inside a SBSAR, right?  Should it work ?      I just want some easy to use and convenient tool  with half decent manual drawing tools  that neither Designer nor Sampler  seems never going to have.    And this not so recent but still a novelty  SBSAR support in Photoshop  + chatGPT scripting  that started to actually work in Photoshop  vs  former two   makes  sort of great hope for  Photoshop again.   

Why don't you bring the Ai (Adobe Illustrator) new doc social media template sizes into Photoshop? Is there a way to bring this file into Photoshop's settings folder (in AppData): "C:\Users\X\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 29 Settings\en_US\x64\New DocumentProfiles\Social.ai"Illy uses an Ai file as a template (for new doc sizes), but Ps uses a single "New Doc Sizes.json" file for it.  

I am using a "dissolve" layer set at say 10% opacity. When I  create a visible stamp layer the dissolve layer effects are no longer visible.  I am using the recent Photoshop Beta version 27.0.1. I tried using the file in a the most recent photoshop version and the same happens.  What do I need to do have the effects saved to the file and visible???

Good day all. Im hoping someone can assist me with this issue and I will be eternally grateful. I recently updated to the latest version of Photoshop(V26.11) and whenever I try to create a new document this is exactly how the screen pops up and I am unable to select anything. If anyone has a solution to this problem I will be so grateful as this is hampering my workflow currently.

whene i opene up photoshop; i cannote adjusted the lighting nor the colors; the tools are all greyd out , as well three filters!

Lightroom to edit in photoshop (replace sky) and then save and close photoshop. Lightroom is then blank. Won't open the edited photo back up in lightroom.    Is it because I am missing some updates?   How can I fix this?

If I can remember correctly [ALT + Mouse Drag one of the corner of the image] will zoom in/out the image from the centre of the image? it does not come any more. What is alternate shortcut key for this in Windows?  

Hey i am looking forward to be accepted Degree in Visual Communication as admission requirements for studies i need to present my Desings.I was wondering what is the recommended size format to use for my works that will be great to see from the phone + pc.heard mix commends like to use A4 or 1500px-2000px, what is ur recomindation? Hi, I have been using photoshop on my laptop for years and it's always been fine. Recently though, it still loads up quickly but when I load an image (It used to load up multiple images in a quick cascade) I get the spinning wheel of death and it sits there with "not responding" for five minutes or more before the image appears. Any ideas? It does the same with older images that used to load instantly.

I had previously canceled my adobe plan and since i've gotten it back, the tool bar on photoshop does not light up and I am unable to use it. I tried turning the tools on and off, and I also tried resetting my workspace.    any ideas?   

My turn to ask for some help.   Regulars will know that I make a a fair few Frame Animations.  To night I am suddenly getting this error message. Google thought it might be a protection thing, so I completely uninstalled NordVPN. I tried the current release, beta and v22.2 I saved the PSD in different locations. I tried exporting other frame animations. I created a new frame animation. I reset Preferences. (not using the manual method)   The fact that it is the same with three versions of Photoshop suggests a possible OS issue.  This is Windows 11.  I can try it on a MacBook Pro which will probably work, but I'd like to get my desktop system working.   I can't think what else to try, so any ideas?

Hello, I am a real estate photo editor, and the software I use includes Adobe Bridge (12.0.4), Camera Raw v17.2, and Adobe Photoshop v26.4.1. Recently, I upgraded to a 4K monitor, the DELL U2723QE, which is known for its color accuracy. However, I am experiencing color inconsistency between Camera Raw and Photoshop. The color discrepancy is quite noticeable, with whites appearing warmer (more yellow) in Camera Raw and cooler (more blue) in Photoshop. Previously, I worked with the DELL U2419, which also had some color discrepancies but were not noticeable to the naked eye. However, with the U2723QE, the color difference is quite apparent. I have compared the colors between Adobe Bridge and Photoshop, and they are consistent, but only Camera Raw shows the color discrepancy. Could you please let me know the cause and how to fix this issue? Hello,After updating my MacBook Pro to macOS Tahoe (26), I’ve frequently noticed that files saved from Photoshop take a long time to appear on the desktop — often more than 10 seconds. I can only see them immediately if I manually relaunch Finder.Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a possible solution?Thanks!

I've been having issues opening files since version 26.10; the same problem persists in 26.11 (Windows 11).At first, I thought I couldn’t open PSDs by double-clicking them. After opening the file manually, making changes, and saving a new version elsewhere, the original file I’d tried to open suddenly appeared—over 10 minutes later. Very odd behavior, and just a little annoying. Next, I tried right-click > Open with > Adobe Photoshop 2025 from Widnows Explorer. It hemmed and hawed for nearly 4 minutes before finally opening. I guess that’s an improvement over 10 minutes, but still not acceptable. Drag-and-drop and opening files from within Photoshop both work fine for all file types I use, so it seems Photoshop might be struggling to communicate with Windows Explorer. I’ve recorded time-compressed screen captures (attached for your entertainment) showing the same methods repeated. I have 2 copies on my PC, 2024 and 2025, and have tried a number of times to delete the 2024 copy.But failed.All the Unistall command seems to do is open Creative Cloud Desktop.  I do not want to create something. I want to destroy Photoshop 2024.How can this be achieved?

I’ve never encountered this issue before, but ever since updating Photoshop to version 26.9.0, I’ve started experiencing frequent “Disk Error” messages whenever I use the Liquify tool.The problem usually occurs after editing around 20 photos. Once the error appears, I have to completely close and restart Photoshop to make it work again.
