They are costly in terms of money and of the environment and as much as I enjoy using Photoshop, I want no part in that. Allow users to opt out of everything generative AI-related.

When the year generative fill was offered, many content creators offered methods of creating painting and other artistic effects either through quick masking and filling or creating an alpha channel and filling. But in more recent versions this feature doesn’t work for me. I tried generative fill directly, but got very weak effects.Does this feature still work? If so, how? I don’t care for the look of neural filters and found the AI approach more interesting than the legacy artistic filters. Thanks

Updates come out like diarrhea—every release is a pile of bugs. Fix one, crash three; years go by and they still aren’t fixed. And now it’s even worse: bugs are “a thousand users, a thousand bugs”—same version, different users, different ways to die. You even do bespoke crashes now? [abuse removed] No compatibility work, feedback treated like [cursing removed], and “Acknowledged” used as a coffin lid. Your [cursing removed] mountain of code is piled up to Everest, and you’re still taking [cursing removed] at the summit. At work you do exactly two things: write bugs and play dead. Writing code by rolling dice, testing by praying to Buddha, fixing bugs by making wishes? Users are not your free QA, let alone your [cursing removed] paper. Stop calling it Photoshop. Call it Bugshop. Call it [cursing removed].

When decoding Panasonic S1M2 RW2 RAW files in Adobe Camera Raw, the Camera Matching V-Log profile is severely inaccurate. So I cannot apply my Vlog LUTS on it.Additionally, after applying the Camera Matching profile in ACR, it is not possible to apply a LUT on top of it. This is a critical limitation for the RAW → V-Log → color grading workflow.（All Bug and issues above do not exist in Lumix Lab which is offical APP of Panasonic, I think you can fix these issues according to their offical APP）And I think you can improve it by learning the Color Edit Workflow in Davinci Resolve.

Hi everyone,I’m looking for help with a recurring issue when saving scanned PNG images as PDF files in Photoshop (27.3.1). Recently, the PDFs generated are partially corrupted or misread by Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and Photoshop.The Problem: When I open these PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, I get the following error:"The dimensions of this page are out-of-range - Page content might be truncated."The page size appears as 1x1 mm, making the content cropped and pixeled.What I’ve discovered so far: Third-party viewers: If I open the same PDF with PDF-XChange, it displays perfectly with the correct dimensions. Re-opening in Photoshop: If I open the "corrupt" PDF back in Photoshop, it also shows the wrong 1x1mm size. The "Workaround": If I check the box "Preserve Photoshop Editing Capabilities" when saving, Photoshop is able to reopen the file correctly, but Acrobat still struggles with it. Once we have a new working folder on your hard drive, all future "save as..." in Photoshop will need to propose this new path as a priority. This would save us from having to retrace the entire path to make a "save as..." until Photoshop assimilates it.

Photoshop 2023 will not open camera raw filter

I am having issues with the camera RAW filter in Photoshop 2023. When I open a file in Photoshop and try to use the camera RAW filter it does not open the filter adjustment box. It just spins and then stops, and I have to hit "enter" before I can do anything else in Photoshop. iIve tried disabling the GPU, and re-enabling. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled photoshop twice. I am running photoshop 2023 and photoshop Beta on my laptop, which have been running successfully on this laptop for several months. Any suggestions would really help me, Thank you.

Revamp Displace FilterOpen for Voting

The Displace filter is extremely useful, but the methodology and interface feel super clunky and outdated.Having to create and reference an entirely separate PSD for the displacement map feels needlessly tedious and convoluted. There are already several other filters and effects in Photoshop that allow you to reference a layer (or layer mask) within the document, and Displace would greatly benefit from the same. This would help to streamline things and keep everything self-contained.Some kind of live preview would also be extremely useful, so we can avoid the endless trial and error that comes with the current version. Maybe even add a slider to adjust the fidelity of the map, similar to what happens when you blur the map currently.

Problème Adobe photoshop ordi sans Windows 11

Bonjour, j'ai un très vieil ordi qui a 13 ans et qui à l'origine était sous windows 8, maintenant il est sous windows 10 . J'ai installé Adobe cloud sur cet ordi et Adobe photoshop mais Adobe refuse de faire les mises à jours nécessaire et d'ouvrir photoshop car il a besoin de windows 11 pour cela.Or je ne peux pas l'installer sur mon ordi qui n'est plus apte , dont le support n'est plus apte à accueillir windows 11, selon Microsoft .Y a t'il un solution pour avoir accès au option d'Adobe et à Photoshop sans Windows 11… J'en ai besoin pour mes études... Dites moi si jamais il y a une solution miracle et merci .

Currently, the panel forces a choice between a compact grid of icons without text labels, or hiding the tools behind a dropdown list / preset menu.Please allow us to customize the Adjustments panel so we can display both the icon and its title simultaneously, as in previous versions.Having to hover over every icon to find a specific adjustment—or rely on a dropdown list—adds unnecessary friction. how to duplicate a layer with a linked file and link it to something else?

Is there an easier way to duplicate a linked layer and unlink it from the original link so I can re-link that one instance to something else?Right now I’m duplicating the layer, making a smart object, and then double clicking into the smart object and re-linking. So every time my linked file changes, I have to go individually into each smart layer to update the link. Kind of a PITA. Back-story: making mockups of different label interations on the same package rendering (today, a bag of frozen chicken wings, woo hoo!). In this case, I’ve got all my labels in one Ps file and then turning on one layer at a time to export them as PNGs to place into a presentation document (Illustrator). Another way I sometimes do it is to create a separate Ps file for each instance of a link, but then I still have to open each file to update the link… Can I do something like this if I use artboards in Ps instead of just layers? I’d like to be able to open a file, have all the links update, and then export

I would like to report a suspected EXIF metadata-writing issue affecting edited JPEGs from a Canon EOS R8.All affected files identify their editing software as “Elements Organizer 24.0.” The original camera JPEGs do not produce the same warning. The edited images still display and fully decode, but their EXIF directory structure is malformed.Environment- Operating system: Windows- Camera: Canon EOS R8- File format: JPEG- Embedded software/version string: Elements Organizer 24.0- Full installed Elements version/build: [add from About/System Information]- Diagnostic tools: ExifTool 13.59 and Pillow 12.3.0Actual behaviorExifTool reports this exact warning for every affected file:Wrong format (string) for IFD0 0x8769 ExifOffsetAn independent inspection of the JPEG EXIF/TIFF headers confirmed that tag 0x8769 (ExifOffset / ExifIFDPointer) is declared as TIFF type 2 (ASCII/string), rather than the expected type 4 (LONG).This field points to the EXIF subdirectory; it is not a timezone offset.

Update September 2026 has my computer freezing up

I updated PS this morning and when I try to use the bandaid, wet brush or remove tool I get a pop up that says “is still downloading. Download complete “ then PS freezes. I have tried restarting the program several times.

Any Adobe product is the slowest software I use. Just opening it takes 30 seconds or more. This is impossibly slow… what could you be even doing with this time? Fix it. Stop doing whatever it is you think you need to do. I just want to edit my images.

Emoji at start of layer name with truncation causes noticeable performance drop

Steps to reproduce:Any emoji at the start of layer name Long layer name that causes truncation ellipsis (...)If emoji at start AND no truncation, performance remains stable. If no emoji at start AND truncation, performance remains stable. Only when both emoji at start and truncation exists do you run into performance issues. This only affects the active tab and doesn’t seem to spike up CPU, but when you have many of these layers it becomes unusable.Solution for now is to remove the emoji at the start. It would be great to be able to i.e. connect a mask to different layers on an image. I imagine a seperate window that shows all the layers of an image where the user has the ability to connect certain layers to different inputs to a certain layer. This way you could use one mask to connect to multiple layers that don’t need to be stacked or grouped, and you would be able to change just one mask with simply affecting multiple parts of a complex comp.This could obviously work with any type of overlays, noises and so forth like in a material editor of blender/c4d.

In Adobe Illustrator and InDesign, we can double-click the bottom handle (or corner) of an Area/Paragraph Text frame to instantly snap and auto-fit the box height to the last line of text.It would be amazing to bring this exact same behavior and shortcut consistency to Photoshop. Currently, when working with Paragraph Text, we have to click and manually drag the bottom edge up to meet the text, which slows down the layout workflow. Having a quick double-click to auto-shrink the bounding box to fit the content would be a huge time-saver.
