Photoshop

Hello! I’m trying to remove or lessen the glare on this photo and no matter how many tutorials I watch an issue always seems to arise if anyone has any recommendations for me? Thank you! 

I create images for website articles and social media posts and would like some advice from experienced Photoshop users. What canvas size, resolution, color mode, and export settings do you recommend for images that need to look good on both desktop and mobile devices?

The bounding box of the transform tool is in the wrong location and not properly scaled when used on warped text. It does snap back to correct scale and location when a corner of it is selected but reverts once the transform is deselected again.Photoshop version is 27.5Off center and wrong scale bounding box on warped text 

When launching Photoshop the following error appears on screen:“could not apply the saved panel configuration, resetting to default”After the application starts up, workspace can be restored back to the saved preferred layout and everything function correctly. This started with 27.1 and has continued in to 27.3There was also already a thread on here where Adobe said it was being looked in to and myself and others had submitted error logs to show where it appeared to flagging the error. After the community change here, that previous bug report has disappeared from the link resolving there or finding it via search so adding a new till it gets addressed.  

After the latest updates Photoshop is not correctly displaying the brightness values of images in the main window. Depending on the monitor, the image either appears underexposed or overexposed. This is not an issue with my monitor set up as when moving the Photoshop window across monitors the values display correctly, but when I release the mouse drag, the colour values change. This is also only in the main window. The navigator and file preview images display the image at its true values. Both monitors have been colour calibrated. I have tested this on various files including flattened jpegs.Running PS v27.10 on Win 11 off an AMD GPU with up to date drivers.Screenshots below showing preview issues on one of my monitors. Note how the navigator pane still displays image accurately. Windows snippet tool does not capture the underexposure issue on the other monitor and actually fixes the underexposed colours on output.  

Let me be absolutely clear. I have ZERO interest in using generative AI tools in Photoshop or anywhere else. And yet, every time I open Photoshop I am assaulted with pop up windows trying to get me to use these tools that I do not want. The features and buttons are displayed prominently in many different windows, it is virtually impossible to ignore or avoid. It creates a very negative user experience having these things shoved down my throat all the time. Going forward, Adobe should give users a simple checkbox option to indicate whether we want these tools or not. For those who don't, they should be disabled completely. No pop ups, no reminders, no prompts, nothing. I like to use Photoshop to jump back and forth between my Mac desktop and iPad. Despite some bugs and issues, the experience has mostly been good until AI started taking over. I don't want to switch, but at this point, I am already considering alternatives. Please take note of this user feedback and take it seriously. I c

How to get all postScriptName of photoshop api v2?

There are almost daily instances where I need to join two 'open ended' paths in Photoshop, but I need to do it without physically 'drawing' a line segment between the two open anchor points with the pen tool.In other words, I need to join them as I would in Adobe Illustrator, which is to move the open path so that an open 'anchor point' is atop another open path anchor point.... and then simply merge the two points into one.I have been 'dummy-ing' it along for years, drawing between the points; although that is almost never the best solution in my mind....Can Photoshop merge two open ended 'anchor points' together like Illustrator?EXAMPLE:  Say I have a vector path in the shape of a half circle, containing 3 anchor points - open on the right, and the half circle facing the left. I am working with scans of black and white images with black and white profiles (like Gray gamma 2.2.). Since a few days the images started to show horrible gradient noise in the darker areas. When I convert them into Srgb the problem disappear, but I need to use the b/w profiles. I have been working for many years in this way without any problems. Suddenly this problem appeared and I don’t have a clue what has changed.  I attached a detail of one of the images. The problem is visible in many areas of the images also at 50% magnification or less . Thank you for your help. 

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a very specific issue with Photoshop Generative Fill (Firefly Image 5). I have created a path and typed text into it. Along the path is a little circle with an x in it. This little x appears to be hiding my text and i can not move it. How do I get my text to show up???

HelloCan anyone help? Since the update at the end of May 2023, the brush shortcut for size and hardness control no longer works (ctrl + Alt + Right Mouse + drag left/right).I have gone into any tool, preferences to check, tried other keyboard shortcuts and watched tutorials. I even uninstalled and reinstalled PS.I suspect it's a bug, has anyone had the same problem or solved it already? Thanks

downloaded latest Photoshop version o new iMAC  set up writer for Epson Velvet Fie Art paper.  Colors are way way off.  I want to talk with Adobe Support 

Wenn ich wie gewohnt im Firefly Arbeitsbereich von Photoshop ein Bild mit Hilfe von Referenzbild und Quellbild erstellen möchte kommt jedes mal die Meldung “Da hat etwas nicht geklappt.” Habe auch Prompts aus der Vergangenheit ausprobiert mit den entsprechenden Referenzbildern, die schon einmal geklappt hatten. Auch diese funktionieren nicht mehr. Ich habe noch mehr als 3000 generative Credits. Photoshop wurde heute morgen upgegradet. Was kann ich tun, um wieder Bilder generieren zu können?

Filter layer: Like an adjustment layer but it uses a mask to apply a selected filter to any number of layers below the Filter Layer while keeping the filter parameters adjustable. Premiere can do this by making a shape an adjustment layer and applying a filter to it. Good for frosted glass boxes for titles with gaussian or zooming in to an area with transform effect.

I am using AI features and am getting this error message, even after 10 hours 

Changing a layer containing a graphic from Normal to any of the options no longer works. Previously as I scrolled down the list, a preview of each choice would display. That is also no longer functioning.Photoshop 27.8.0Mac OS 26.5.2

Does anyone know why I sometimes have to press a tool shortcut several times for the tool switch to stick?For roughly the last six months (not exactly sure), I’ve noticed this on all four of my computers. In about 50% of cases, I have to press a shortcut key (for example, B) several times to make sure the tool actually switches.If I press it only once or twice, I can literally see the tool switch to the Brush tool and then immediately switch back to the previous tool.Has anyone else experienced this?Please don’t recommend disabling Spring-Loaded Tools, because I don’t want to have to press another shortcut again to switch back after temporarily using Zoom (Z).

Hello, I have a bug on my personal computer. When I use Photoshop, after two or three edits like generative expand, painting, or even just hue and saturation, Photoshop makes my computer crash and restart. I use the license at my office at work with no problem. So it really seems to come from my PC, or maybe a setting that needs to be changed in PS. Does anyone know the solution? I'm using the latest version of Photoshop. I recently discovered that banding has started appearing in smooth color gradients when saving JPEGs in Adobe Photoshop. Naturally, I always save at maximum quality—12 out of 12. If I save as an 8-bit TIFF and then convert to JPEG using FastStone, I can select RGB as the photometric type in the save options; furthermore, I don't necessarily have to choose 100% quality—which would result in a 40 MB file for my example—since 95% is perfectly adequate for me, yielding flawless gradients and a file size of 16 MB, matching what Photoshop produces at its maximum quality setting (12 out of 12). Hey there,Since the introduction of the EU AI Act I need to know precisely which tools in Photoshop will get my work flagged as AI, so I can circumvent their use.I already ditched LRC because of this and for not getting any answers on said questions anywhere. Working with the basic toolset on PS right now, but since selections apparently are also made with AI now, and anything involving AI seems to get flagged, I need to know precisely, please. Why - because some of my clients aren’t very happy about getting their pics flagged upon using them on Meta platforms because I removed a bottle, and because they need to be “clearly marked” as “Made with AI” or whatever else. I can already see this becoming a huge headache. Marking every single file in various sizes for print and Social Media. Thanks.Please someone clarify.
