Photoshop

I'm slowly getting used to CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-W instead of S but no matter which option I select in Export Preferences, it neither remembers where I opened the original file from or where the last one I saved one was. Either would acceptable but the first would be better. I have to specify the folder EVERY SINGLE TIME and when I'm editing multiple pictures this is the biggest pain.The Legacy Export as doesn't work consistently either. It was way better overall, but such is life I guess.    

Hi,I have had this problem for a year.It manifests in two ways: 1) Whenever I open the font pulldown menu in Photoshop (any of the font menus) the top third to two thirds of the menu indents at random spots and jerks erratically as I move the cursor and scroll. I have attached some pics so you can see what it looks like mid scroll. Every time I the cursor moves the whole menu sporatically changes its alignment, making it difficult to get the cursor over font names.  All the fonts should be left aligned vertically (and stable aside form scroll), but as you can see they indent at random locations. 2) Lets say Arial, and Times were two fonts I used yesterday and as such, they appear at the top of the Fonts menu as "recent fonts". As I scroll down the page, and if my cursor happens to hit Arial, the menu pops to the very top - teleporting me to the short list of recent fonts. Like it's saying "oh don't use that one use this one at the top instead!" This is incredibly difficu

Problems with the toolbar and generative fill, the toolbar is still there but the tools disappear, and when I use the generative fill it creates black shadows and I have to close and open the program several times because it also fails, I have already deleted and uninstalled everything and now when I have photoshop again the program feels slower and creates the same errors, I tried the "performance" options, removed the graphics card option and those things and it still fails, I have had this problem for almost 1 month, I put old updates and it continues to fail.

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone can help! I bought the SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD (2TB) today and want to use it as a scratch disk in Photoshop on my MacBook Pro, but it’s not being recognized by Photoshop.  Here’s what I’ve tried so far: • System Preferences > Security > Privacy > Full Disk Access, enabled for Photoshop. • Renamed the drive to ensure there are no spaces in the name. • Restarted both my MacBook and Photoshop multiple times. • Ran Disk Utility > First Aid. • The file system is ExFAT. Any ideas on what could be wrong or what else I can try? Thanks in advance!

I have a 20 artboards that I want to save as a multipage PDF...but I need the size to be 5MB Max. How do I reduce the size...there is no option to do so when Exporting my Artboards as a PDF. Also my photoshop file is so large that the "Save As Copy" option doesn't even allow me to save it as a PDF.

i can not open photoshop Some of the aplication componets are missinga from the aplication directory. Pleas renistall teh aplication.  i did, and its the same problem 

Is it available the new AI noise reduction for jpeg images? i see this noise reduction only in camera raw module, but i need edit jpeg images with the same quality...

I'm just about to delve back into making a plugin for PS and while I have a lot of code and boilerplate for CEP plugins I wouldn't mind looking at UXP if it's in an actual usable state now Last I looked at it was a couple years ago and there was issues with even being able to handle saving out images to directories without getting permission beforehand/each time - has this actually been solved now or do I need to stick with CEP...For context, this would be yet another texture exporter for studio use - as we need to export textures and also create other files for our own internal uses.

This is newly published book. My Contextual Task Bar is not same as mentioned in the book. How to fix it? I use latest version of Ps in a desktop.      

Hi! I'm trying to apply the same Levels adjustment to a batch of images. I created a new Action, recorded my steps, brought up the Levels adjustments box and dragged both the left and right sliders in a bit.The changed numbers are even noted on the Action step (68, 223).   But when I repeat the action on another file, the Levels action is basically ignored, there is no change to the subsequent images. What might I be doing wrong? Thanks!

I know this has been asked in the past but my question is a little different.  I know how to do it, but I'm trying to figure out if we're allowed.   On my design PC, I run actions all day on artwork.  These actions are not only mostly single or low-threaded, but they take 2-10 minutes to complete.   Very commonly after waiting, I need to tweak the action because I did not like the result.  So, I run it again.   This is obviously a huge waste of time.  With my CPU barely scratching 10% and having 128 GB of RAM, I am thinking I can just use fast user switching on my PC and run another instance in parallel to cut my time in half. It says 1 copy per device and only 1 person at a time.  These are being satisfied since the other user is still me on the 1 device.  Some grey area in there.   Does this lie outside of Adobe's intention or still within it for licensing, as I am not sharing my license.&n

Is it possible to create a script that opens current layer in a new document? (not as smart object). I know I can handle that using the clipboard, but I want to know there's another possibility.

Hello, I'm kinda new to photoshop and yesterday I spent my whole afternoon unzipping new brushes and loading them in Photoshop. I created several brushes folders to arrange them to my liking (texture, landscape stuff) etc. They got loaded and I was able to try them. Today, as I go again on Photoshop, i'm suprised that any of those brushes or folders are here. Not even one but the "basic/already there" photoshop brushes you have when you first install it. What should I do? I had PLENTY of them and all are gone on PS

When I updated to the newest version of PS, I lost all of my custom actions.I have been able to find some of the originals online, but not all.I have tried using Time Machine to see earlier configurations but the actions aare gone there too.Any suggestions??

Hello,  I'm new to Photoshop so any advice appreciated My dad scanned in about ~1800 pages of photos from my grandmother's albums I’d like to separate for uploading to google photos. Unfortunately he didnt scan them in at super high resolution but it took him a week to do and isn't something I'll be able to redo.The majority look like this with 4-6 photos per page with this textured background. Some of the albums are black background and some are white but nearly all are textured like this. Have tried the Automate > Crop and Straighten feature but I think the background of the photos breaks it and it doesn’t work.. It also doesnt work when I remove the textured background. Interestingly, the object selection tool is able to outline all of these just fine. Using the object selection tool, I'm looking for a way to: a) merge selections (note in the top left it incorrectly made a few selections that should all be apart of the same selction, and  b) save all thes

Some time ago, when viewing an image at 100%, photoshop would display the image the size it was, but after an update a few years ago, it has been showing images about half the size they actually are.  I've ignored it and worked around it, but I'm adding images to a website and I need to size them by eye and I'm tired of sizing an image 3 times, because i have to check how big it actualy is in preview and then guess again at a different size.   I must have a setting wrong somehwhere?    Can anyone help?  Here is a picture of a simple image in photoshop at 100% and the same file opened in preview right next to it, you can see the file in preview is much larger than photoshop is showing it.   Thanks for any help!whitney  

I see a lot of threads about this.Well, the other day I actually had a tech from Adobe on the line, and after much wailing and gnashing of teeth, he admitted, "It's a Photoshop issue".Apparently they are looking into it, just not quick enough. It is unfortunate because it seriously affects our ability to work effectively in Photoshop as you don't get the mostly accurate visual sizing.We can only hope... Come on Adobe, FIX IT!!!

Below is an example of how my selection fill works. Instead of doing a hard black fill, it does a gradient of black to white up to the selection. How do I make it fully black, and stop at the selection? 

No matter what options I select in Contact Sheet II I only get one image per page. I does create a page with one image and then a blue outline dances around the screen. The only way out is to end the process. It's working just fine in version 26.3.0. My version that is not working is 26.7. Any help would be appreciated.

I need help with my brush settings! PLEASE!  I have been running PS 2020 for a while now and have had no issues — but when I updated to PS 2023I cannot get the brush tool to behave in the same way! The problem when I use PS 2023 is that the brush doesn't completely fill in with the color — there is a ring around it that is still unfilled.BUT! In PS 2020 the brush color fills the circle all the way to the edge of the brush outline (the full dimensions aka: 250px).  I am not using a tablet — just a mouse — so it isn't "pen pressure" or something like that.WTH is going on here? There is a setting somewhere but I can't find it! I have opened both versions side-by-side and checked all the brush settings but they are set exactly the same, so it must be some other setting menu that I can't find. I am on an iMac.

I get this error (Could not complete your request because the file was not found.) when I want to open photoshop. I first open photoshop this popup appears and when I press ok button then photoshop will close again.I have searched on the internet and all suggest to reset preference, but how do I reset it while photoshop does not open at all, is there any solution for this error I get? 

I'm familiar with image > transform rotate, scale  etc. So when setting a transform, I can change the reference point by Ctrt T and tehn dragging the centre to wherever I want it. So far so good.If I want to set it numerically, I have to move the reference point and then type in centre X, centre Y and rotation angle. Up until that moment it assumes that those values are it's transform location. The only difference being is that the centre of the grid of 9 squares is left unfilled:So without offsetting the reference point first (which seem counter-intuitive if you are putting in numeric values)ORtoggling the reference point location every and then back on again (v annoying)Is there a keyboard shortcut or button for this?
