Photoshop

Hello,   Granted, I'm an infrequent user of Photoshop, but it's so unintuitive.   So I used to be able to feather edges, but it's not working now. I've tried multiple ways and searched for a solution online but with no success.   What on Earth am I doing wrong? Is there something obvious I'm missing?   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   Many thanks.

Hello,Has anyone encountered the following problem?I open a raw file with Photoshop, the photo appears in the Camera Raw Filter, and if I load an xmp file of a photo similar to the given photo, which was denoised with AI Denoise, the photo becomes ghosted like this in Camera Raw. Moreover, the ghost is the given photo, so it was opened in Camera Raw, and the XMP belongs to the powerful photo.And it has been doing this since the last update (26.8.0)I may have missed a few updates. I was trying out the Photoshop app on my iPhone 14 (iOS 18.5) and experienced this glitch when I added text to my photo. I received an email and was asked to submit proof of evidence. I do not have an Adobe account as I wish to try out the free available functions first, and this happened. 

Hellooo,For past month and a half I believe PS got alzheimer, it keeps forgetting the Open Recent like every 2-3 days, but sometimes it happens 2+ times a day.Absolutely nothing changed hardware wise. It does remember the custom keyboard shortcuts for some reason, but to remember the files? Impossible. Like what can be causing it?d:

I'm using the latest Photoshop update (automatic update) on Windows 11.  Recently, I've encountered a situation where each time I close and then reopen Photoshop, I have to do a Window>Workspace>Reset Essentials maneuver.   Because I use the basic workspace configuration, it's just a minor annoyance.  Still, it would be nice to not have to do that.  Does anyone know why this happens or how to prevent it?

Existe um bug que eu enfrento já há anos, e não sei se há alguma forma de corrigir. Basicamente, quando eu seleciono uma ferramenta qualquer e depois vou selecionar uma nova, o Photoshop fica voltando para a ferramenta anterior. Por exemplo: Uso a ferramenta Remover, e após isso, preciso usar o Zoom pra ajustar a foto. Quando vou arrastar o Zoom, o Photoshop retorna para a ferramenta Remover e faz um traçado de remoção e não o zoom. Isso realmente é irritante e não sei se é um bug conhecido. Gostaria de saber se tem algo que pode corrigir.

I get similar digital hash every time in WIndows but I have seen some passable results in X86 macOS with AMD graphics.The Windows machine has newer and more powerful GPU/CPU than the Apple machine so not sure why the total failures.Hopefully this will get to the level of Generative AI, even in Windows.

I copy image as a LF layer and blur it .  then convert the doc to 32 bit    ( if I have any alpha I apply gamma 0.45454 to any alpha channel )      Then I set subtract blending mode to LF layer  and  get looking almost black  HF image  with most pixels negative .    With add blending mode on top of  same blurred original they do  perfectly frequency separated pair.  But how could I brinng it back to 16 bit integer  mode ?     I need to lift that mostly negative  HiFreq  layer to be around 0,5 right?   So I add 0,5 flat color layer  with add blending  but when I convert the doc back to 16 bit mode the gamma changes  and what was 0,5  is brighter now .  I do gamma 0,454545  to fix it.    Now  I believe   this HiFreq layer should work  on top of blurred original  being blended as LInear Light, right? 

So ages ago, i bought the Creative Suite 5 Master Collection and today my serial number doesnt work because its been used on 2 computers.. [cursing removed] I bought this product to use for myself whenver i want how long i want, and now it refuses me to use it unless i buy a sub? What world do we live in? How can i bypass this? So I know this has been asked before but I have tried all the fixes and none of them has worked. I have tried .csv and .txt tab dilimeated. I have tried removing extra lines or columns. I have 14 columns in my excel file, is this too many? Is there a limit to how many fields you can have? Please help!  

To provide some context, I've been attempting to recreate an action using the new A.I. masking feature inside Camera Raw (ACR). I've reached a point where everything works, except for one issue: the masks don't update based on the specific photo being edited. This is similar to Lightroom, where you can apply a preset across multiple photos and the A.I. adjusts the mask according to each photo. When I apply the action to a new photo (not the one I used to create the action), it works flawlessly, except that the ACR masks still use the A.I. mask from the original image I used to create the action.

Hello to this group.  I think I have backed myself into a corner with the 'help' of the Customer Support line.  The tech support were very nice people but referred me here as they are 'not trained to help' on no longer supported software.  My partner is 76, disabled, and spends his day taking pictures and editting them in Photoshop CS5 (and really enjoys the content aware feature).  He is cognitively impaired, not able to learn new software, and barely hanging on to his knowledge of CS5.  Our XP hard drive crashed recently, was not recoverable, and had a copy of CS5 that was not used.  He used the version on Windows 10 machine.  So bought a Windows 11 machine, had Windows 10 hard drive copied to Windows 11, installed from CS5 .exe and thought all was great.  Then got the activation error messages.  So called Customer Care, who explained CS5 no longer supported, could not help, told to go to Adobe Community, suggested problem was the XP copy

I already have the desktop version on my Macbook Air M2 2022This happened with Safari, then Chrome, most recent versions. I was logged into Adobe account in both.Does someone in the community know of a solution?Thanks

Is there going to be a way to disable this new feature of double clicking to edit text? Sometimes when I'm moving things around I'll accidentally double click and then it will start editing the text versus moving it. I'd rather have a way to turn this off in preferences so it works like it did before.

Can't create a project file. If i do theres nothing i can edit. No background, nothing.

Hello, I have downloaded jpeg files from Stock Adobe for years. Likewise, within Ohotoshop, I have opened those files and saved them to cloud documents for years too, without any issues. Why is Save To Cloud Documents suddenly greyed out?

Hello all,Not sure where to post other than here so hopefully this is the right spot....I asked many months ago how to save a jpeg to make it load but but be an average file size and look sharp, the suggestion I got here was not to use, File...Save As... but to use, File...Export...Export As...I would pick 7 for Quality and save...I am making the pictures I post, 1500 x 750 pixels which has usally made a 1-2 meg file...Now when I do that same process my jpeg pictures are coming out about 500 KB and I don't know why. My pictures are being put on a Microsoft Word Web Page and haven't had any issues till now. Anybody know why or have any ideas ? Thanks--Bill Gass -

Hello! Thank you in advance for help. I can't find the answer for weeks.... I do ''render video'' Actions. Problem -> it always overwrites the file no matter I have ''file name'' included in Actions or not. If the only way out is doing some script (to avoid overrite or create each time a unique name)... please teach me how to do this and how to use it with actions, where to place etc.  instruction for a dummie please. I have Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.5.0 20230512 

Hello,I've been using the Select Subject in Photoshop and also the Select Subject and Select Background in Camera Raw for a long time and they did a great job.With the latest update, I've noticed that it turned out to be inacurate on PS and Camera Raw.It's useless now. Plus, I have lot's of presets that use the "Select Subject" or "Select Background" that now don't work correctelly.For example, if you choose "Select Backgroun" it selects the background and the subject at the same time.Selecting the subject only select parts of the subject in an inacurate maner.I've noticed that Photoshop now have a new online Select Subject feature that Adobe state to be "more accurate", but I tried and I find it to be exactelly as accurate as the old bundled Select Subject. Not more accurate. Plus; it is slower than a slug. It slows down the workflow.Simply the online version work like the old desktop version used to work.I don't want to use the online version. After updating to Photoshop 26.8 (released in June 2025), I’ve noticed that any changes to color settings in Photoshop are being overwritten every time the app becomes active.
