Photoshop is tagging my original content as AI Generated and I want answers in how to fix this issue. It tags meta data into the files saying it contains ai content when I use my personally drawn in procreate illustrations that I have then vectored and put into photoshop to give client mockups. Why? The service center is absolutely usless at the moment and don't get back to you. All this AI nonsense is just causing issues left right and center - It is supposed to be industry standard but standards are way less than ideal. With this issue I am trying to export a .jpeg or .png and its saying it has to tag it as ai generated which is absolutely insulting.
I tried to create a video slide show in PhotoShop. What is the best jpg deminsions? My goal is to view the show on a TV. I created at show using 1920 x 1080 resolution, 72 dpi. I was using jpgs created in PhotoShop, approximate file size 5 megs each ( 8x10 inch, 300 dpi), importing 200 images. The initial import was going to be over 2 gigabytes, which exceeds Photoshop capacity, I had to save save the project in large file format. What should be my goal to size down these travel photos to balance final video resolution and file size. Thank you
When I use CTRL and + or - keys it zooms way too much. It goes from 100% straight to 200% when going in. When zooming out from 100% it takes smaller steps, but what if I want to have the same steps when zooming it? I would like it to go from 100% to 125% or 150% at the very least. Sometimes the zoom is too much and I know that I can set the exact value in the lower left corner, but I want to work fast and not having to type when painting. Any help, please?
I have a lot of images consisting primarily of light text, on a dark background, for example:I write programs in Linux. Linux has lots of commands, and most commands have LOTS of options (parameters) -- too much for my old brain to retain, so I copy and print articles from the web, which typically contain images like that shown above. I have tried various filters to clarify the text, plus selection tools on enlarged images then painting the selections and inverses with the paintbrush, but with only limited improvements in the readability of the text. It would be great if an AI tool could recognize and sharpen the text.
I use ACR w/ Photoshop 2026. My workflow is to open RAW files from bridge into ACR. Its hard to get a general feel for some images without opening them in ACR and making a few edits. But for images that are open in ACR, is there any way I can save the rating, even if I don't open the image in Photoshop? I may want to come back to the pics later based on rating without opening them in Photoshop.
MacBook Air 15" M2, Sonoma OS 14.5. Sometimes I am unable to Save or Save As a HEIC or TIFF file and sometimes I'm unable to Save or Save As those files as a JPEG in Photoshop 2024. I can only save as a JPEG 2000 in the types of files available in the drop down list. I have posted screen captures of the dialog box that appears. Even if I make a duplicate of either file and try to save I cannot save. The image file is 8 bit, no layers other than base layer. I have experienced this issue since replacing my old MacBook with the MacBook Air. I did not have this issue with my old laptop. I don't know if it's the computer, the software, or the user. Any explanations for this or suggestions? Thanks for your help

I normally run the Beta version of Photoshop. The last few days I noticed that it was taking a long time to store files. I eventually decided to take a look and after checking the size of the PSD files being saved I was shocked to find that many were more than 800 Mb and a few even over 1 Gb. The files I was editing were NEFs and typically in the range of 50 Mb each. I had been using Topaz AI to remove noise and sometimes sharpening the image. This was done as a Smart Filter applied to a Smart Object version of the image on Layer 0. I was also using a Camera Raw filter on the Smart Object. Other layers were added above, but not more than around 10. Based on my past experience I expected the file size to increase by 50% to 100%. Once I noticed the huge files being generated I tried both the Beta and Production version with a simple edit of a NEF file. No smart objects were created and I did not use Topaz or the Camera Raw filte
When using the automatic Image Assets export through the Automate>Generator Plugins>Image Assets option and using any scaling with custom names on the layers the layer styles break and wont scale properly.Actual result:For instance when creating the assets in double the size and having a layer named "default 50%" to shrink the exported images, then the exports come out in the right size but the layer styles are now double the sizes/distances because Photoshop first shrinks the layer before baking and exporting out the resulting image.Expected result:Layer styles should scale together with the artwork so the resulting image looks the same. The bake and export would have to happen first and then the scaling of the resulting image.
Dear ChatGPT: Tell me how to change the text select behaviour when clicking in fields in Photoshop. Currently, when I click on any field in the Photoshop interface all the text in that field is selected, which makes editing any part of the text in that field difficult because I have to click again to select only the text I want to change.Answer: This is a common annoyance in Photoshop’s interface — by default, clicking into a numeric/text input field (like opacity, font size, tracking, etc.) auto-selects all text in that field. To stop Photoshop from auto-selecting all the text when you click into a field, follow these steps...Needless to say, the steps advised do not work, in fact there seems no way to stop this "common annoyance" at all. Is this another case of Adobe just dropping the ball and removing choice "for simplicity's sake"?Anyone know how to fix this?
Hey, I have been tryin to save for web (legacy) on Photoshop 2025, and I keep getting an error message saying "Could not complete this operation. A write permissions error has occured". I have checked my permissions, and have write permissions for Adobe including Photoshop. I have also resetted my preferences in settings. Is there anything I can do?
Hello! Im working on a large file at the moment in Photoshop and im having a bit of lag and slowdown. The document that im working on now is 7000x7000 pixels 300dpi and around 70 layers so it might not be a surprise that im having issues but at the same time I have a pretty powerful computer ( 32 gig ram and i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz processor and Ge-Force GTX 2060 Graphics Card). So I dont know if my document is simply to big/taxing or if i have a a setting wrong on my computer/photoshop or if I might be in need of a reformat on my computer..Iv'e tried variuos settings on the performance tab in photoshop to some sucess, Iv'e heard that Photoshop has actually become worse in handling large formats compared to the 2015 version? I also had one problem where Photoshop simply would not save, it was stuck at 0 Percent. Any way, any feedback would be most helpful!
The normal behaviour in this drop down is for a checkmark to be next to the name of the CURRENTLY ACTIVE file. In the last year, the checkmark now appears next to ALL FILES WITH UNSAVED CHANGES. Now I cannot use this window the way I had in the past because THE MEANING OF THE CHECKMARK HAS CHANGED. And the new meaning of the checkmark is not useful in my established workflow (I have been using photoshop since I was a high schooler in 1997). Here is how I would use this feature in the past: – I have 10 files open – I am performing a series of manual actions on each file in an assembly-line fashion (check resolution on first pass, convert to grayscale on second pass, adjust levels on third pass) – I go to "Window" in the menu and choose the first file, perform the first pass action – I go to "Window" in the menu and choose the next file, perform the first pass action – Repeat until I am done; the checkmark acts as bookmark in the list so I know which file to choose next.&nb
Hello Adobe Team,I work with satellite images in RGB format, where each channel represents a different spectral band (e.g., Band 3, 2, 1). I use Photoshop's Generative Fill to fix visual distortions in the image. After editing, I need to export the result in a way that ArcMap can read it as a 4-band TIFF file — not just RGB, but with an actual 4th band added (e.g., a cleaned version of Band 4).Is there a way to do this inside Photoshop? Or export a TIFF from Photoshop that supports more than 3 bands? If not, are there recommended workflows that combine Photoshop and GIS software to achieve this?Thank you!
Hi community!First off, thank you for any responses I receive! I appreciate it! PS: I'm using the 26.5.0 release - monthly subscription.Projects: I sublimate onto aluminum panels using an Epson SC-F170. Issues:#1. Blacks that are clearly black on my screen print brown. Browns print green sometimes. #2. I understand I'll never get the colours EXACTLY the same, but I'd like to figure out how to get them as close as possible to what I see on my screen, but there's quite a significant difference in some cases. One of the files you'll see - the game controller is 100% black in the original PNG, I haven't added a gradient or any other effect. The black "caution" prints black wonderfully but the controller goes brown. #3. What profile should I be designing in? I've changed some of my files to Adobe RGB as per other forums and it made it worse. I've even chose "No colour management on this file".
I just updated to the latest photoshop version (26.6). Prior to the update I had about 20 paper profiles that would appear in the Printer Profile list of the Print dialog. After the update the list shows a huge number of profiles, I'd estimate about 100. The ones I normally use are there but so are dozens that I have never used. I'm on Windows 11 Pro, and my C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\color does not have this huge number—just the ones I have been using for years. I've attached a jpg that shows about 60% of the entire list that now appears. Can anyone suggest a way to get rid of the profiles I don't want?
I have two problems with my Epson P900. I have a Mac and am using 15.4.1 (Sequoia)1) In Lightroom I can only print 8.5 x 11 and smaller prints. When I try to print to 17 x 22 it prints as if the image was on a much smaller size paper but proportional. While this was a problem until recently I had a work-around by using Epson Print Layout for larger images. However now I have a new problem after upgrading to 15.4.12) Epson Print Layout no longer recognizes the printer. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers and the same with the Epson Print Layout. The print never loads and I get the attached error notice.
I'm on Photoshop v26.6.0. macos sonoma I updated to Camera Raw 17.3.0.2224 about an hour ago and all my settings, keyboard shortcuts, actions, are gone. When you use your mouse to 'scrub' the text size/leading/tracking/kerning values up/down it is jumping about 40-50 pt at a time - it used to only jump a few pt at a time, so now it's not really usable - you have to manually type changes into the size/leading/tracking/kerning fields Is there a fix for this, or a setting I'm unaware of? This is in Photoshop 26.5.0 and I've only noticed it recently, so assume it's this (or closely previous) version
Where is perspective crop today?

My cursor does strange things when I'm using Photoshop. This only happens intermittently with Photoshop and is never an issue with other applications. I'm running Mac 12.6.2 and Photoshop 26.5.0 on a Macbook Pro. My cursor "jumps" to the lower left corner of my screen. For example, if I open an image from a Finder window, when I toggle back to Photoshop the cursor is down in the extremem lower left corner of the screen. I have this corner set as a "hot corner" to initiate my screen saver -- so the screen saver kicks in and slows down my work flow. I *could* turn off the hot corner.....but I want to know why this is happening and if I can resolve my jumpy cursor. Thanks for any help y'all!
0 down vote favorite I'm working with Photoshop and making a java script file to automate Photoshop. But I cannot find a method to center align the layer according to a document. For example I have a psd file in which five layer are horizontally side by side to each other I remove the third layer now there is a empty space against that layer, now I want that the forth layer come to third place and fifth come to forth place and all these four layers center align according to a document. What is the shortest and easiest solution to this problem?
I believe that this was not true in the past, but in Photoshop 26.5.0, a locked layer can be moved around and selected by auto-select. For me the point of locking layers is to be able to maintain the appearance of the file while moving things around underneath another layer. It works right up until the point when I try to duplicate an item using option click and then it becomes clear auto-select has selected the top locked layer, not the object underneath, because it duplicates and moves that locked layer, as shown in the attached video. Please fix this so that a locked layer is once again ignored by auto-select.
I have a question about an important option being greyed out in PS CS6; I am not sure how to make it an active option. The panel for the Edit: Color Settings has a Color Management Profiles section with the option to Ask When Opening for applying a Color Profile to images with Missig Profiles, but it is greyed out. See the image attached below. The red dot shows what I am refering to. This would be an important option to have available, since it would allow me to add a Color Profile to the many images that I import from another DCC that have no embedded Color Profile. As to why it is greyed out, I do not see options that would change its status, except that the closest option would seem to be changing the Color Management Policies: RGB from Off to one of the other options, but those options are also greyed out. How can the Ask When Opening option be made available?
