Photoshop

I cant drag an image from my open ps file to my open ai file.  I used to be able to drag things no problem.  However, now, when I drop it in ai, it has the green plus sign but nothing happens?  Is this a bug in Ps version 26.3?   {Title updated by moderator}

I'm experiencing severe performance issues when working with artboards in Photoshop (v26.5.0). Hi everyone,I came across this visual (attached) featuring a stacked “R” and “D” with a really striking glow and distortion effect — almost like the letters are lit from within, with a smoky or liquid-like blur in between. The glow seems soft yet intense, and there’s a smooth transition where the two letters almost merge through light and shadow.I’d love to recreate this kind of effect in Adobe Photoshop (or After Effects if that’s better). Could anyone point me in the right direction? I’m especially curious about:The glowing aura around the lettersThe misty/smoky blending between charactersAny distortion or displacement techniques that could help achieve the “melting” transitionThanks in advance for any advice or tutorials you can recommend! 

I have an Adobe Creative Suite subscription for PC, which includes Photoshop. Recently, I installed the Photoshop app on my phone as well, but the app won’t let me log in. Instead, it asks me to purchase a separate subscription to use it on mobile. I don’t think this is fair, so I wanted to ask if this is actually how it’s supposed to work, or if there might be some issue. What confuses me even more is that I can use Lightroom on my phone with the same subscription, but not Photoshop. Why is there a difference?

Hi, when I select a shape and add a gradient to its edge by dragging the cursor through its side, the shape is deselected after the first drag of the cursor. My question is how to keep the shape selected when dragging the cursor a number of times through the other edges of the shape in order to add the gradient to the other edges.

I have seen on the forum and have not found anything about itI would like to configure the mixer brush tool with a script  I wish I could set all these parametersI hope it can be done since I use this tool a lot 

Can someone please help me? Photoshop has been like this for a month and I've been doing everything I can to make it run fast.I've tried adjusting the NVIDIA Control Panel settings to get it to run faster.The Photoshop perferences settingsI tried disabling Windows AntiSever and closing apps on the task manager.I even tried clearing my computers cache.Ive tried adding Photoshop to the NVIDIA app to see if it can get it to run fast.Still nothing.What do I do?I turned off Use Graphics Processor and it moves fast again however I can't use the Rotation View Tool.How can I get Photoshop to run fast again? Computer system:Windows 11 ProSlim Pro 9 16IRP813th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13905H 2.60 GHz

Hey, what happened to the 'place linked', it brings the file in a different scale.I used to use the place linked for psd files and it was fine , I got the image in the correct size. But now, after the new update it brings it in smaller scale. please fix the bug.

I have PS installed on a desktop & laptop. I have many replacemetn skies installed on my desktop. How can I copy those to my laptop & keep the organised folder structure that exists on my desktop. TIA

Is it just me or the typr effects are gone? 

I can create from “New” and set the size for a white background working start, but “Generate Image” is grayed out on both the contextual bar and the drop downs. I’ve used it before successfully. …The only thing I could find in searching is to make sure that under   File >  Preferences > Plugins > Enable Generator checkbox is ticked.But I checked that and, as you can see in the second image, it is ticked.…I’m not sure what more to do and really wanted to generate some images for a newsletter I’m doing. I'm on a Win 11 PC with a current subscription to Adobe Creative Suite.  

I have a folder of Raw files - DNG. What is best or easist way to batch these color images to a folder of black and white   jpegs? Is there an action to upload somewhere?  Or would  the image processeccor do that somehow?  Or ?  Thanks.

Hello all,I am somewhat new here and recently purchased a DTF printer that requires me to use spot or colour channels. I have found some great videos on how to do it but the are for single images. We use what is called a gang sheet that is 15" X 60" that our clients that we print for, can add as many logos or prints they can fit on it for a per sqft price. I got most of it working fine, but the final issue relates to applying a clipping mask to a rectangular flag (to give it rounded corners). Hi im changing colour of images daily. but i noticed some stuff does not look realisitc even when their colour is changed.  i have been reading multiple guides how to change colour. its the most comfortable for me to change colour by right clicking the layer and going to layer style   i like this way because it allows me to copy excatly same colour as in image B.  while using selective colour does not allow me to get every possible colur. i must use a lot of combinations there to get tone i have in image b i simply cannot copy it with one click.  i have been trying to change colour of this gray bumper to white one  but i get very poor result. bumper looks silver and the more i lighten it up the worse and less realistic it looks. it looks like glass lol.  theres no way for me to make it look white without it being too bright  i have asked chat gpt to edit image it does perfectly job can anyone eplain me how

Hi,I realized few days ago that Montserrat in Photoshop looks different than on website, like when I was activating it in Adobe Fonts. It looks like Montserrat Alternative with the rounded capitals and crooked "e". I dont have this problem in any other Adobe app or any other software, just Photoshop. I tried to uninstall and install again the font (from Adobe Fonts as well as downloaded from web) and even tried to uninstall and install again Photoshop but nothing helped. The only right Montserrat is only if I choose "regular", but then I cannot use "thin", "light" etc. versions 😞 Is there a way to repair it?

I created an action to convert Raw 16 bit image files to 8 bit JPEGs and changed the image size at 1000 px on longest side and 72 ppi. When I review the image file in Photoshop, the tab and mode show 16 bit and the image size is 1000 px but 300 ppi instead of 72. Is there and explanation for the 16 bit indication, though it saved as JPEG in the Save dialog box (no Layers either)? Also in the Image Size change, is there a sequence to get the desired settings? In Image Size, I changed the PPI to 72 first then changed the longest side to 1000 px. Thanks

With the latest PS update, whenever I hover over the image I'm working on with the move tool, the layer I am hovering over is highlighted with a blue square. I guess it's supposed to denote what layer I am hovering over?How do I disable this? I didn't ask for this "feature" to be enabled and it's REALLY annoying.See screenshot when hovering over text layer.

Hello Spring Loaded hotkey feature experts . I'm a professional digital painter that works in Animation. I just got a new computer and I use the spring loaded Hockey feature all the time in Windows 10 for the eyedroper tool. I just need a very quick eyedroper selection to get a hue and value of a color then continue to paint in other tools. The issues is it doesn't seem to work very well with the smudge tool or the lasso tool. The spring loded feature springs back only sometimes or just permanently stays on the eyedropper tool. Since I need to move quickly not springing back to smuge or lasso destroys my workflow with only needing a quick sample of a hue and value of a color.  Please help me.
