In Photoshop 2026 (ps ver 27.9.1) and Photoshop Beta 27.11 on both Mac and Windows, when you create a Clarity and Dehaze Adjustment layer, painting on any layer masks below that Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer results in the effects of said Clarity and dehaze adjustment Layer turning off until one stops painting on a layer mask, which of course makes it quite difficult to erase or add to a layer mask when one doesn’t see the results “live”. In addition, the same thing happens if one uses the Properties panel to adjust either the Density or Feather of any of the layer masks below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment layer.  Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer added with and adjustment to both the Clarity and Dehaze sliders   Painting on or trying to adjust the properties of any Layer Mask below the Clarity and dehaze Adjustment Layer hides the effects of said layer.

v279.9.1 is extremly broken! undo whatever youve done because it it extremely unusable. wacom interaction is slow, sluggish and unresponcive. Ctrl Z doesnt function AT ALL. I did not stay to find out what else is broken. I rebooted the wacom and computer, tried old and new documents and realised the fault is you and not me. It was especially aparent when i loaded the old version of photoshop and it works perfectly.

Googling has not helped and, while there is one post in the Adobe Community that presents EXACTLY my same issue, there was no assistance provided (link: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/adobe-crash-processor-exe-doesn-t-stop-after-i-exit-photoshop-and-it-locks-up-my-files-and-or-folder/m-p/14306961) Every time I close Photoshop, I am unable to move or delete the file that I just closed. When I run PowerToys' File Locksmith, I can see the file is locked by Adobe Crash Processor.EXE. I end the Adobe Crash Processor.EXE process and my file is unlocked and can be manipulated. This happens EVERY time I close photoshop, even after ensuring I am updated to the most recent version. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Since the latest photoshop update (27.9.1) when I choose Quick Action>View More all the choices are hidden behind my panels. I literally have to move my panels over to be able to see what's behind. it. Is there a fix for this? 

I open several raw files in Camera raw and click through them using the arrow buttons.I use the mouse to zoom in to 100% and back out.Now the arrow buttons don’t work anymore unless I make one extra mouse click into the film stripe area.One extra click sounds like a minor problem, but when you select hundrets of photos, it gets a lot…Version: 18.1.1

a “focus stack” has masks.  There are some errors so I want toedit the masks with paint brush, black or white.  They wont edit.ThanksSteve z

Ok, bear with me please as this is the first time I’m asking a question but I’ve been a photoshop user for over 15 years.  I am having problems in the last month that after editing a bit several things will happen at once- My alt no longer works (I am usually using it before adding layer mask in order to hide all when I notice it).  Any brush type tool (brush, heal, dodge, etc) as well as quick select and lasso, etc will only register the initial place I click and will not drag.  Meaning one pin point whatever size and nothing else.  IT seems to be only in photoshop, although I did notice in Camera raw none of my sliders are working. I can adjust by clicking or manually entering numbers but I cannot grab and drag it across the sliders which I used to be able to do.   That is a constant and doesn’t happen just with the glitch happens.  When the glitch happens, restarting photoshop will fix it temporarily.  I cannot find one thing that sets it off, after MULTIPLE days of testing things. 

What is the difference between super resolution and/or sharpening in Camera Raw, and AI Sharpen in Photoshop? Are they the same but at a different place in the workflow, or do they work differently? I’ve been using Super Resolution for a few years to be able to make larger prints, but the file sizes are then too big to apply the AI sharpen tool in PS. Trying to determine if a Better workflow or use of different tools would assist me. Thanks!

Hi everyone,I tried the gen expand feature on this image, but the expansion(upwards) doesn’t quite match the original image. The water droplets don’t have the starry sparkle, and the water doesn’t have that greenish-blue hue.Is there a fix?Thank you 

J’ai constaté depuis hier que lorsque je fais un réglage du rayon dans Tons foncés, si je souhaite modifier un réglage dans tons clairs, ou plus bas un des autres paramètres disponibles, mon réglage rayon de tons foncés se remet systématiquement à 0.Ce qui n’était pas le cas auparavant.Quelqu’un d’autre a-t’il constaté le même problème? 

This version has so many bugs, I don’t even want to use it any more and am switching back to 2025. Just to name a few, it crashes every time you try to print directly from the program. The last month alone, it has cleared my actions 3 times without an app update. It crashed randomly when our workflow is always the same. I have files that work just fine with older versions, but with 2026 it acts like my files are corrupt. Updates clearly aren’t helping either and I have my workspace and preferences the way I like, but even with syncing the actions continuously get cleared. If this ever gets fixed I’ll consider switching, but in the meantime until 2027 comes out, I will be sticking with 2025.

I am trying to erase an item from a photo which has been working and now all of a sudden it says the operation cannot be completed….I dont understand and I cant figure out how to update or reset it

Hello, I have a question about inpainting with Generative Fill in Adobe Photoshop. Two months ago, I could simply use a rectangular selection tool on a photo, and the AI would inpaint it flawlessly, with seamless continuation of clothing color and skin tone. Now, however, the results are messy the inpainting doesn't match the surrounding image, and sometime generates an entirely new, different-looking person within the selection.

 If Simulate Pressure isn’t working as expected in Photoshop, try this quick setup:Use the Pen Tool (P) to create an open path. Press B to switch to the Brush Tool. Go to Window → Brush Settings. Open Shape Dynamics and enable it. Under Size Jitter, set Control to Pen Pressure. Right-click on the canvas and choose Stroke Path. In the Stroke Path dialog, select Brush and enable Simulate Pressure. Click OK.This should allow Photoshop to create a tapered stroke that simulates pen pressure along the path.If the result still looks uniform, double-check that Shape Dynamics → Size Jitter → Control is actually set to Pen Pressure, and make sure you’re using a brush that supports size variation.

t  Bonjour , j'ai déjà régler tous les paramètre cocher avec ou sans cpu ect... en gros dès que j'utilise un pinceau ou que je met une zone de texte même juste introduire une image dans Photoshop , cela sature complétement mes disque dur ssd de fichier TEMP , j'ai 800 GO de libre mais il se remplisse de manière inexplicable de fichier TEMP au point que je ne peut plus du tout utilisé Photoshop et que tout plante ou ram J'ai un GPU GEFORCE 5060 TI drivers a jours J'ai un CPU AMD RYZEN Z 7700 8CORE j'ai beau utilisé des version antérieur de Photoshop ou des nouvelles cela me le fait quand même. J'ai régler le disque a utiliser sur mon SSD avec 800 GO de libre dans les réglage Photoshop. Quelqu'un a t-il déjà eu ce soucis ? je ne trouve aucune solution depuis 2 jours.

Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 + Photoshop 27.9.0 fails to transfer Develop adjustments from Fuji RAF and Sony ARW files through Edit In → Photoshop. Photoshop Beta 27.10 works correctly with the same Lightroom files and settings.

Mac M4 Max 64GB RAM, 2TB SSD, OS Tahoe 26.5.2, MacBook Pro 4588I regularly use Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Acrobat and Photoshop, occasionally other products.I most often use my MacBook closed with an external wide screen, wireless keyboard and mouse, at home, and it works great.When at home, I have use 2 USB-C ports for everything connected - 1 is for the super wide screen and the other goes to a hub that has various drives connected, ethernet cable from router, external devices like camera, speakers etc.  I always fully power down before unplugging these USB cables, without fail.When I sometimes switch off the machine and disconnect it from all external devices so that I can use the laptop on its own while travelling for work, I always hit a problem when launching Photoshop for the first time in this configuration.I get a message that Photoshop is damaged and cannot run, and I have to re-install it.  This is very tedious, and what is really annoying is that I always loose all of my per
