Photoshop

I upgraded to Photoshop 2025, and now my swatch library is gone; also, the legacy swatches are not the legacy swatches I'm used to.When I upgraded Photoshop, I clicked the button to restore/keep all previous settings.I need to get my swatch library back. Swatches are labeled and organized with it's own title and name for each swatch.Also, I prefer the old swatch library with the gradients and patterns with a good selection of colors. This new swatch thing is ridiculous. I don't have the time to re-make new unstable swatch libraries for RGB and CYMK. I want the old library back- how?Mac Studio, Sequoia 15.1

A serious problem appeared suddenly yesterday in Photoshop.My long-used workflow with large feathered selections no longer behaves correctly during direct adjustments such as Curves, Levels and Saturation.Reproducible issue:Large image Large selection area Feather values between 250 px and 700 px Direct adjustment via Curves / LevelsExpected result:A very broad and soft tonal transition.Actual result:The transition remains extremely narrow, visually similar to a much smaller feather radius.Important observations:The same workflow functioned correctly until yesterday Feather is actually stored in the selection (verified with Ctrl+J transparency test) The problem specifically affects practical adjustment behavior during Curves / Levels operations Reproduced after complete clean reinstall Adobe Cleaner Tool used Preferences reset GPU disabled and tested Multiple Photoshop versions tested Same behavior on a new Windows user profileThis seriously affects fast local correction workflows base

Hi,after the latest update of the CS suite programs like Photoshop (windows) I am not able to record the executing/opening of a JSX script anymore. I have done this many times before: executing a JSX within an action; as described e.g. in this very old posting:  Screenshots of these steps:  It should look like this: Bug? Feature? Updated my OS and now Adobe Creative Suite doesn’t seem to work. Photoshop will not load at all and says broken. Have tried uninstalling but now cannot re-install.

I see today that the Creative Cloud Desktop app has changed. I use (or I used to use) this app to keep track of the different versions of Ps, Br, ACR installed. I could uninstall a version or reinstall an older version. I could also see whether there were any pending updates for any or all of the different version that I have installed. I currently have three version of Ps and three versions of Br installed. But with the newest version of CC Desktop I cannot see any Br or ACR app, and I only see the latest version of Ps. It did briefly flash that a new version of Ps was available, but then it also said there was a new version of CC Desktop. Now I can’t find the update for Ps.Very, very confusing.Any insight, observations, or suggestions would be appreciated.Peter

Playing around with the gen AI partner models in #Adobe Photoshop beta today to see the difference between that workflow, and doing some old fashioned content creation using stock images. Rather than a lengthy screen share, here is a short timeline showing the process. Adding a diver to the photograph using FLUX.1 Kontext [pro] within seconds (using an M4 Max MacBook Pro) and then the Harmonise function (which is truly amazing) to blend the asset into the scene seamlessly and easily with one click. Then adding a second asset in the same way. It took longer to compile the timeline video and render than to create the scene!For production design work I would use the Adobe Firefly model, or resort to stock imagery (and the lengthy search for the right image), but you can see it is a timesaver using the Generative AI Partner models. #generativeAI  

When using “Save For Web”, the output file size is not updating when actively changing values like “lossy” or “dither”. The user must exit out of the value box in order for the file output size to update. This “bug” occurred after a recent update to the Photoshop app (27.7.0 Release) and is an undesired experience causing workflow issues. Please look into this. Thanks. 

Do you have a dream? I know i do. To one day own a functional adobe product that doesn’t consistently crash. To never again have to experience a crash DURING a save which not only corrupts the working file but wipes the autorecover folder because Photoshop thought the save went well, losing two days of work that now has to be immediately all redone. It’s ok Adobe, I didn’t have any plans for the next 16 hours anyway. I’ve been hurt by you before, it was my fault to trust you not to completely make a mess of the bed.Oh, and the hue/saturation properties bug prevalent in PS 2025 STILL isn’t fixed for 2026.

I want to create Action to access Shadow/Highlight in Photoshop 2026 on my new Mac. I had it on my old Mac, so I know it was possible. When I try to record, it says there are no actions listed. Can someone please explain how to do this?

The function perfectly identifies distractions but, in the elimination phase using the cloud, 9 times out of 10 it reports that the Internet connection is missing, when in fact it is perfectly active.

i know that there is some problem with reflection removal section, but in camera raw, it is not working also, it cant remove anything, do you know guys how to solve this problem, or its a worldwide problem? 

회사에서 PSD를 공유해서 사용 중인데다들 폰트가 잘 뜨는데 (16, 17pt ...)저한테만 아래 이미지처럼 소수점으로 뜹니다.사이즈도 한참 작아지구요...해결방법이 있을까요? 

I didn't renew Photoshop, but I used it to do a revision, even without renewing, and because of that, the Photoshop watermark appears in Canva. I tried merging some layers as I did before, but the command doesn't work and the option to merge layers doesn't appear. I also tried using Camera Raw, and it appears grayed out. Could it be because I haven't renewed the license? Thank you.

I am reviewing selects from a shoot in Bridge and opening in Photoshop. Camera Raw 18.3 opens and has an error reading “operation could not be completed” and when I click Okay. It just opens the error again. The only way to make it go away is by force quitting Photoshop

Trigger a "Quick Export" as PNG to a chosen directory (local or server). Immediately switch to Finder and attempt to view the file preview of the newly saved PNG. Observe macOS Finder freeze and become unresponsive. Finder cannot be successfully force-relaunched. Photoshop enters a "frozen" state, preventing successful backup saves even after a force quit. Result: macOS Finder freezes immediately upon attempting to preview the file, causing a system-level hang that traps both Finder and Photoshop, preventing backup/recovery. No error message is displayed; the system simply stops responding to Finder actions and only way to make it work is force restarting the

Just downgraded Photoshop V27.8 and it fails to open - dreaded spinning colour wheel. Anyone else experiencing this problem.

OS Sequoia 15.7.7, and have isolated this issue down to a problem with the color profile not embedding correctly in a PSD file. This directly affects the ‘Quick Preview’ on Mac.Same files with no changes in workflow, both in Photoshop as ProPhoto RGB color profile, and both saved with box mark checked ‘Embedded Color Profile: ProPhoto RGB’ 

Photoshop stops working when I try to change brush size or brush hardness. When I right click and change the brush size, the window freezes and doesn’t change the size or hardness. It does that if I right click or if I change the size in the box.Tried resetting preferences, tried restarting computer, tried restarting photoshop, tried resetting brush tools, tried removing ‘’smoothing’’ option. Nothing works and it’s very inconvenient as I use this feature every 5 minutes.On Windows 11 with wacom intuos pro, drivers up to date, photoshop up to date, and computer up to date. I tried changing the size with my mouse and it freezes too, so probably not a tablet issue.
