Photoshop

I have a bunch of Transparent PNG images and when I license them, they update as FLAT JPEGs in my PS Panel and in my document and I can't figure out how to keep them as PNGs. But I can go and download them and I get the choice of JPEG or PNG and they download correctly.  But then I have to drag them all in a update individually. I'm not seeing a preference that I can change to make them 'hold' as PNGs. The preview icon shows them as transparent, but says JPEG in the info next to it. Thanks for the help.

I have small photos of Hot wheels cars, I want a script to automatically arrange these Hot wheels photos in a way that they are alphabetically sorted from A to Z (left upper corner to right lower corner) in a square or rectangular shape (number of columns equal 50% of number of rows) and each object is sitting on 60% on the next object. Will add photo of before arrangement and after arrangement (the one I done manually and want is number 2) 

Bonjour ,Je traite mes petits montages vidéos avec photoshop 2026. Mes vidéos étaient prises avec un samsung A40 et je n’avais pas des problèmes. Je viens de changer de téléphone le nouveau étant un samsung S23. Photoshop ne peut plus ouvrir les vidéos prises avec ce nouveau téléphone.  L’erreur est “le fichier n’a pas pu être ouvert” . Lightroom ouvre ces vidéos.Pour le moment je les ouvre sous canva , je les enregistre , puis là, Photoshop les accepte.Toutes mes vidéos sont en format mp4.Merci de m’aider si vous avez une idée

In mac If i click the window below, the active window goes to the back, and the other window comes to the front.I wish it worked like Windows. 

OS: Windows 11 Versions: All version of PS after 2022 (as far as I cant tell).   While the drawing/painting with the Brushes panel open, it will sometimes flicker to a white image. The brushes disappear, and this image is seen:   Reproduction: Make strokes with various brushes. (I'm using a Wacom tablet.) This seems to occur most when switching to a new brush. However it is somewhat random. You may have to try mulitple brushes for 2-3 minutes before it appears.  Sometimes it happens right away, while sometimes it is less frequent. 

yesterday Photoshop started opening the color settings dialog box every time I open it. Every single time PS launches this dialog box comes up. Any idea why this is happening?

When I launch Photoshop 2024 on Mac Sonoma,  a pop up says "Shift your perspective and hone in on edits by rotating the canvas." If I click "No thank you" the button changes color, but nothing happens to the pupup. If I click "Get started" the button changes color but nothing happens. Quitting Photoshop renders it unresponsive, Force Quit will close the app. Upon re-launching Photoshop, I'm presented with the same popup again, which will not go away. I have a deadline and can't finish my work.

My Photoshop Editing Workflow Question When I’m editing in Photoshop, I retouch the original image and save it. Sometimes I’ll then create a second version — for example, a different crop or a black-and-white edit.To avoid overwriting the first file, I add a suffix to the filename before saving the second version. On my Apple computer, when I go to save the new version, the cursor doesn’t automatically move to the end of the filename. Instead, it highlights the entire filename (everything before the .jpg extension). See attached image. Years ago the cursor would automatically land at the end of the filename, just before .jpg, which made adding a suffix much faster. Does anyone know how I can change this setting or fix the issue?

Hello, When i open Filter>Render I can't find the light effect filter anymore. I had a quick search online but i can't find a recent article about it. Anyone can help me find a way to get it back? Thank you in advance

I’m getting this specific error when using the shape tool and then clicking “Merge shape components”. It doesn’t happen with any other shape layer that I have and I can’t understand why. If I remove 2 shapes (e.g. both eyebrows), I can suddenly merge them. If I remove just 1 eyebrow (no matter which one), then I still get the error, which suggests that this is an “interaction bug”. If remove the hair but leave the eyebrows the problem goes away. I get a similar problem also when right-clicking on the shape layer, then clicking “CopySVG”. I don’t get the problem if I export the shape layer with “Paths To Illustrator”, which generates the “.ai” file, which can then be exported as an SVG from Illustrator. Have you ever encountered this problem? If yes, do you know how to solve? This looks like a bug anyway, maybe a numerical problem. If not, then the error message should be a better one. Here’s my setup Photoshop version: 26.9.0 Scripting version: 26.9 OS: macintosh os 15.6.1/64

I have a layer comp created that I am using for versioning banner ads. My Layer Comp is exporting the name of each layer in the layer comp at the end of a numerical sequence. I would like to eliminate that portion of the automatically created file names. HelloI've been using Generative Fill with Google Nano Banana Pro in Photoshop for photo editing, and it's been extremely unreliable today (February 17, 2026). I'm trying to scale down 32 layers (Smart Objects) down without them all collapsing in on the artboard. I want them to stay where they are in the columns and rows they are in. I know a decade ago, we had the Transform Each tool? Is that gone now?

I am having issues with my pc and might have to take in to where I bought it. If there is a chance that they need to reboot it, do I need to deativate my Photoshop so I can reinstall it back on my pc?

Just updated to latest version of Photoshop, version 27.0.0 on Windows. For some reason generative fill using either Gemini or Flux Kontext Pro is not working.    I make a selection In the contextual task bar I click on Generative Fill I select either Gemini or Flux I type a prompt (can literally be anything)   Photoshop shows the progress bar and it creates the Generative Fill layer. But at like 50/75% of progress the progress bar suddenly disappears and the generative fill layer also is gone. No errors, no crashes, just .. as if it never happened. Firefly generation works just fine. I have tried different images, from scratch, different prompts. It doesn't matter, the 3rd party generative options simply do not work for me. I have also installed the Photoshop beta just in case, and that has the same issue unfortunately.   What can be the cause? Is there some place where I can check logs for any possible errors?

Where is the Magic Wand tool???? Its not beneath my object select, nor in my Essential Workspace. Tool presets states "cannot be found"

Hello! I've updated my Photoshop to the version 27.0 and unfortunately I can't check out the new functions. Both Flux Kontext/Nano Banana or Topaz Sharpening/Noise removal don't seem to function. It's behaving similarly to the day of the huge AWS breakdown - a window with a loading bar pops up, but it disappears halfway or like 75%, not having any effect. I've waited since friday to check it out again, but nothing has changed, I figured that maybe I don't have the necessary generative credits, but I'm not able to check the balance - the whole section in the top-right dropdown menu is not loading at all, the error says this section can't be loaded. Is anyone else experiencing issues like this?

In the past, I’ve been able to apply and edit strokes, color overlays, pattern overlays, drop shadows, etc, and see the changes before exiting the panel. Specifically was trying to move the pattern overlay around on the canvas before committing.Now, even with the checkbox ticked to preview changes, I can’t see anything I’m affecting until I confirm the Layer Style. I’ve printed the descriptor of a text layer and it has 2 “textStyleRange”. In the first one, the color in the “textStyle” is like this "color": {    "objectType": "RGBColor",    "value": {        "red": 242.96399384737,        "grain": 231.608835160732,        "blue": 124.368603229523    }} and in the other it looks like this"color": {    "objectType": "RGBColor",    "value": {        "redFloat": -0.1768099963665,        "greenFloat": 0.65371006727219,        "blueFloat": 0.70756006240845    }} It seems that, if I clamp/clip the values redFloat, greenFloat and blueFloat to the range [0, 1] and then scale them to [0, 255], I get the RGB values I see in the Photoshop UI, but I don’t know if this is the correct and reliable way of converting them to [0, 255]. By clamping, I mean that I set them to zero, if they are less than 0, and set them to 1 if they are greater than 1. Does anyone know if this documented somewhere and if this is the correct/reliable way of doing it? I need all colors

Cropping individual layers as a default option and if I want to crop the whole canvas then we should select all layers.I’m finding it difficult to follow steps for cropping a single image and feel this should be the default option when looking to crop something.
