Hi, i experienced this bug in AE 25.5 and new beta 26.Windows AMD machine with nVidia GPU.I have composition, and it look like it is empty, but it is not.There are plenty of layers which are invisible in timeline, but in viewer those have proper behavior, so if I put this composition to another, I can use it, but I can not make any change (because there are no layers visible)It looks like after shy applied, but shy switch is of and layers did not have it enabled.I experienced this in AE 25.5 where disapeared one layer between bunch of others (the layer numbers was 89. 90, 91, 93, 94  - layer 92 just missing. But their content in viewer was visible..And now in Beta 26.0 there are missing all layers which was imported from another project. It affects just one precomp. The behavior is the same like I described. No layers visible in timeline, but their content is visible in viewer and all comps where this precomp is visible..viz attached screenshot. And! When i move text layers from Premiere Pro to After Effects. And unprecompose all the text layers using the motion tool plugin. after the text is unprecomp, when I hit enter to make 2 lines of the text layers, 2nd layer is not showing.  Could you guys help, please? 

I am trying to motion track a beverage can in a 6 second stock video and I intend to put my 2D label on it, I have tried Mocha AE, geotracker but I have failed.I am getting frustrated in Mocha because I set the spline nicely, manually set the planar surface, export the data, apply it to the intended 2D graphic and for a start the graphic is far off from where it should be (I did make the graphic the same size of the comp before applying mocha data), even if I fiddle around with corner pin position, the outcome is so shaky, I have watched so many tutorials, please help

I feel the Adobe Effects tool is bugged when positioning the text on the blue background to run in the composition.

I was following this Dithering Effect Guide and the effect looks great in my app but it loses the effect once exported. This is what it looks like in the comp preview:  This is what it looks like when exported: I followed the youtube guide and toggled the Quality and Sampling as well as adjusted the Render Settings to "Current Settings" There is some extra layering inside of pre-comps that might be causing complications. The structure is:Dithered Image Pre-comp -> Combined Pre-comp -> Final Render Comp Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated - thank you!

the gradient start and end point edit handle is shown up in shaplayer gradient fillbut there is no edit handle in comp layer style - gradient overlayI had found the workaroud to show it up that was active the target area switch button like below years ago but after the update, this is not available anymoreis that a bug or suppose to be?how can I adjust the gradient start and end point in gradient overlay?

When AE tries to cache frames for previewing mith Multi-Frame Rendering turned on, it will crash and give me the following area: Is this a known issue? I do NOT need any information about the new features.I just wanna know why the bloody hell AE only uses one single core of my computer?It has continuously rendering for over 170 hours.. always ONE CORE.Any idea? Recently had to reinstall Windows 11 due to error when updating most of my CC apps to the latest version. After reinstalling After Effects, I noticed the preview screen is black when paused. It plays fine but, as soon as playback is paused, the entire screen goes blank. This happens in any project with any media. I have updated graphics card to latest driver, updated drivers to monitors, uninstalled and reinstalled AE, uninstalled and reinstalled to previous version, made sure the preview is not set to "Wireframe," turned off "Hardware Accelerate Composition, Layer, and Footage Panels" and set rendering to "Mercury Software Only," cleared cache multiple times, restarted computer and AE multiple times, started in safe-mode, started in safe-mode with plugins disabled and preferences reset, made sure AE is added to graphics list with it set to "High Performance" graphics card, tried different preview resolutions. I used to just copy docakble scripts into the ScriptUI Panel folder manually. But I tried the 'install ScriptUI Panel' menu option today. Restarted Ae and it worked fine. But when I looked in the ScriptUI Panel folder there's no copy of my script there ??? On install a dialog said the script was successfully copied to my preferences folder, but i can't find it anywhere and I can't find any other copy with the same name or any hidden files. what's going on? how do I remove a file I can't even find ?Ae 25.5 on Mac OS 15.5

Hello,I am struggling to get this expression to work. I thought someone might be able to help me. I want a text layer to move y position depending on an if-else statement. If the text field is one or two line heights or not move to y1 or y2 position... Right now, this code works, but instead of moving the y it displays the y position with the text value. Imported my illustrator file in AE and all the vectors have this white block behind them. I did not convert them into shapes in AE neither did I use clipping masks in AI. Previous projects did not have this issue After Effects Version 25.5.0 (Build 4)My Hardware:RTX 4060, 32gig RAM

Hello, I have a Asus TUF 15 with 32gb ram, with a Nvidia RTX 3050, 12th gen i7 12700 and the After Effects 25 wont open. I tried every single version of the after effects 25 and it doesnt open in any circumstances.  Can someone please help? i need to work in a project and I need to use this laptop to work on it 

When doing renders from the command line it seems that I can not get the -reuse flag to work anymore after After Effects version 2021.Is this functionality no longer supported? Or am I doing something wrong? It works when I have an instsance open of After effects 2021 or earlier and use this command:"/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2021/aerender" -project "/Users/macbook/test.aep" -comp "main_comp" -OMtemplate "h264mp4"  -output "/Users/macbook/test.mp4" -reuse But when I try this with After Effects 2022 or the llatest beta version:"/Applications/Adobe After Effects 2022/aerender" -project "/Users/macbook/test.aep" -comp "main_comp" -OMtemplate "h264mp4"  -output "/Users/macbook/test.mp4" -reuse It doesn't render and gives me this error:"aerender SYNTAX ERROR: Illegal argument flag: -reuse" Any help would be greatly appeciated. 

Hi,I need some guidance. How can I have a blurry end in stroke after applying Trim path animation? I have been trying for hours, studying motion blur, trying masking, feathering masks, Echo effect and what not 😠...  but am rowing like a rudderless boat.. am going nowhere. I want a blurry stroke end when the trim path animation stops.. but every time my trim path animation gives me a hard edge and no aesthetic view.. What can I do?? 😥 Please guide me..  

There does not seem to be a way to import any of the Procreate export options into AE. The most likely option (because it has an option for transparent background)  is called Animated PNG, a format I have not seen before. I'm using a new Macbook pro and the Animated PNG does play from the finder by pressing the space bar but not by opening it in Preview even though all the frames (layers) are there.  When I import it into anything and I have tried AE, Premier, Quicktime and VLC player but all you get is the first frame appearing in the timeline. The only way I have found is to export all the layers as a sequenced image file, but I must flatten all the layers and it's a very laborious process. Of course, I have written to Procreate to ask if they can in the future develop other export options, but I also wanted to see if this Animated PNG is one that can be opened as a moving image file at some point?

I'm in an animation class where the teacher showed us a way to create a .PSD file with multiple layers and import it into After-Effects as a sequence so it plays the layers like frames for an animation, but I'm not able to re-create it from home. I have a .PSD with layers named from 001 - 030 that I attempt to import into my After-Effects composition. I checkmarked the Import as Sequence, the Create Composition, and the Force Alphabetical Order boxes and set AE to import the .psd as "Composition - Retain Layer Sizes". I've tried about as many variations of this as I can, but when I import this I end up with a new composition that somehow uses all of the other files on my desktop (where the .psd is located) instead of the frames of the .psd. What am I doing wrong and how can I make this work? Thanks in advance.

I developed a plugin whose functionality requires reading and judging precise RGB values, and ultimately calculating and exporting HEX color data.Therefore, I want all internal computations to be performed strictly in an 8-bit environment.However, when an After Effects project is set to 16-bit or 32-bit color, AE automatically converts the pixel depth for plugins that only support 8-bit input.This conversion introduces unwanted color noise (as shown in the GIF below), which is not the behavior I want.In addition, my plugin contains many functions and processing steps, and I don’t want to duplicate the same logic two more times just to support 16-bit and 32-bit modes.So, my question is:Is there a way to make the plugin compatible with 8-bit, 16-bit, and 32-bit projects while still using a single shared set of functions?For example, could I convert the 16-bit or 32-bit input down to 8-bit inside the plugin itself?Letting After Effects handle the bit-depth conversion automatically causes
