With Captivate can I, along with a movie of the desktop movement, record not only my audio but that of all participants of a Skype session, for example.  I can record my voice but I want to record everyone's voice in the audio track.  Possible?  How?  Thanks.

How do you edit a button's text? No matter what I try, the text reverts to say BUTTON. Shouldn't I be able to change it by clicking in the button and changing it?

Hi there,I was wondering if it is possible to change the colour of the line that is drawn between answers in a matching quiz slide (Captivate 2019)?As you can see below we have a dark coloured background, and would like to change these lines to white so they stand out more. Hi,I'm coming back to Captivate for software simulation after a couple of years and initially it made sense to start with the 'All New' version (version 12 or Charm). Except, can't see how to add smart objects, for example a roll over effect or a custom navigation bar. Have I missed something or is this not a feature in the current new version?Thanks!PQ

Captivate v9. Windows 8. Full Admin user permissions.Trying to create projects for mobile devices. 1 slide project with an image and text. Selecting  Publish to My Computer as HTML/SWF with Output Format: HTML5 results in " HTML Publish. Error(s) Internal Error. [OK]Also error when trying to preview any and all slides: "Published failed".

Is there any way to change he name of a PDF in a captivate package exported to HTML? The screenshot below shows what the document was renamed to on export when viewing in browser.Ive found the location of the file and tried renaming it but i have been unable to find where the file is called in the code. 

I currently use Adobe Captivate 2017 where I work. My desktop computer (programs and everything) are being transferred to a new laptop (Windows 10). I have the license number for the Captivate 2017 software my company purchased for me, however, I do not have the software to download the program.I've looked everywhere on the Adobe Captivate sites, but it is no where to be found. Can someone please point me in the direction of the download so that system support where I work can download Captivate 2017 to my new laptop?Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for a tutorial that shows the basic drag and drop functionality. The ones Ive found so far are a bit more advanced for what we ae looking for.We just want a static image of the EMR chart at the top of the screen and 'paperwork' comes in from the bottom left. Our new Medical Records employees will then just drag the 'form' onto the correct tab to file it, and be graded accordingly. Thank you

Hello, I teach Excel at an early college high school and want to make some short simulations for my students to follow. However, one of the things I need to teach is how to make an "Absolute Cell Reference," which is done by clicking the F4 function key. Unfortunately, the new Adobe Captivate doesn't allow me to change the F4 hotkey for Automatic Panning to something that doesn't conflict with the Excel absolute cell reference function key. Is there a workaround for this? Or better, is there a plan for allowing us to customize the new Captivate hotkeys like we could in Classic? This is literally a dealbreaker for me to be able to make Excel tutorials with the new Adobe Captivate. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. Sandra

I am noticing publishing errors with regards to fonts in the new Adobe Captivate. I have a project which contains only Roboto font, however when I publish and learners view the course they often see Times New Roman. This also throws the alignment out for many things within the course. Through testing, I have found that this effects Mac users, and Firefox browsers only.  Before it is suggested, of course I have gone through and checked that fonts. The course displays correct for Windows users. Is this a known error? Does anyone have a fix for this? 

Hey Everyone!   I have been looking over tutorials and posts for a few hours only to find nothing about my subject. Does anyone in the community know if there is a way to have an object on a motion path, resize during that path?

I have a project in Adobe Captivate Classic (11.8) where various actions trigger based on the learner's score. The higher the score, the more hearts display on the screen, etc. Each quiz question has 10 points for correct, and a 10-point penalty for incorrect. We want to start this score at 60, and if it gets down to zero through too many penalties, it triggers a failure slide. However, the only variable I can find that I could use is cpquizinfopointsscored, which starts at zero, since they haven't scored any points yet. I tried creating a click box on the opening slide, set it as "Add to quiz" and "add to total" with the value set to 60, but it doesn't affect the pointsscored variable at all. (See image) I'm toying with leaving it at zero to start, and if the score gets down to -60, it triggers the failure slide, but LMSs won't accommodate negative scores. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,I added looping background music to my project and then deleted it. However, the music won't delete. I have checked every object on every slide, and there is no audio in the project. I have also checked all the timelines, and there is no audio. However, I can't get rid of the music. I'm attaching a screenshot of a slide that plays the music, but the music isn't visible in the audio or on the timeline. It's the same on all the slides.Thanks for your help!

Hello, What is the purpose of the Accessibility Text feature? I'm trying to find what it actually does, or how the screen readers find this accessibility text. Currently, the screen readers just read the slide content.  

Is is possible to disable a 'next' button or disable going to the next slide on the navigation bar until all content has been viewed (ex: all hotspots have been clicked or all cards have been flipped)? Additionally, is it possible to have this disabled navtigation only for the first time a user takes the module? That way, if they have to go back and review the same module, they wouldn't have to click every part of a widget to navigate between slides.

In Captivate 12, is there a way to set a course to complete/passed when the user clicks an Exit button. I can't set completion based on number of slides because there are several branches within the course. There is not a quiz, but I was going to set the Quiz.Pass system variable to true when the button is clicked. This did not work as I can' access that variable from the Trigger pane. Anyone have a suggetion?

 I would like to install Captivate 2019. (with license number 1368-1005-xxxx-xxxx-2532-3668) under WIN 11-64. The License is of Lufthansa - German Airline. It is not in Standard Account, as all others (Premiere, Acrobat, Photoshop etc,) Dont know why.First, the MS Aggregator host must be terminated, otherwise Setup will not work. (Never had this before)Then I install Captivate_2019_x64_LS21. Error 0xc000007b appears at startup. That was it.Had terminated all Adobe SW in Taskmanager, and run Log Collector.Cant get Support from Adobe (shold contact our Admin - they have to Idea of Adobe) 

I'm trying to add accessibility text to buttons in Captivate 12.2, and it intermittently deletes what has been typed in the accessibility textbox once I select another tab in the reading order. I've tried saving before moving to another button or tab and still have issues. Is there a workaround for this? 

Hello. I'm at my wit's end with this one.A slide video in .mp4 format plays fine in captivate timeline preview, but when previewed in browser or scorm cloud, the file is a black rectangle. Video audio continues to play, but there is no video.  A month ago this issue was occuring and after filing a support ticket with Adobe, and not getting any resolution from them on it, somehow it miraculously stopped happening, so I moved on. I have no idea what ultimately fixed the issue. Then after needing to add some new audio, thinking now I was finally ready to release my module, I did one final save and publish to check things in Scorm Cloud before uploading to our LMS. Well, the issue has returned. I've tried: renaming the video file and reinserting (which has been a workround for audio files that do not play after the first instance), I've tried exiting captivate and rebooting my computer, checking for updates. I've tried deleting the video content area from the slide and rebuilding

It would be great, if anyone has an idea for solving that problem.I am using Captivate2019 and Scorm1.2 to HTML5 as a zip-file to upload in moodle.
