Hello,  after reviewing a quiz it's not possible to "continue" the quiz on the result slide. Am I doing something wrong?  Thank you for your help!

I am creating an ergonomics training for a client, and instead of a quiz at the end, they want a self-assessment where the user answers a few questions about their work tasks and setup. The idea is that we can identify people who need a health and safety professional to follow up with them and do a more in depth analysis of their situation. I am trying to create scoring logic for how this would work. There are three questions in the self-assessment, each provisioned to not show the end user if the answer is right or wrong (I overrode the right/wrong messages with a white background and a generic message). I thought I could assign point values of 30, 30, 40 to the questions... then if someone gets a 100, we know there is no need for a followup. If they get anything below 100, they need followup, with a score of 0 being the most urgent.  My question is - will these scores reflect badly on the learner taking the quiz in the LMS reporting? Can't seem to get an answer for 12.2, but is device capture (M2 MacBook Air to iPad) still possible?

I am using a trial version of Adobe Captivate version 12.1.0.16 on Mac M1 using Ventura.I dont see the option for importing PowerPoint.I am only seeing Import > Project Content & Closed Captions.What am I doing wrong?

With Captivate 2019 I was able to publish to html5 then upload the files that are returned to my webserver then make a link to access the presentation by typing the path to the location on the server then the /index.html to open the presentation.  I can publish to html5 but unable to make link to access the presentation from the website.  We don't use a LMS but manage courses using php and MySQL.Any ideas???

If you know you will never use that click sound ever again, this is for you.  Sure, you can disable click sounds for click boxes and buttons you've made. But you realize question slide buttons don't let you do that. 🫠 What if you're like me and you never, ever, ever want to hear that sound, ever, ever, ever, everrrrr again? Answer: You just need to delete or rename the sound file in your Finder.  In Finder: Do a search for "mouse.mp3" and locate the one in Adobe Captivate 2019 (see image below). This is what Captivate uses for default button sounds.  Delete or rename it.  That's it. No scripts, no fiddling with timeline, advanced actions, etc...  Of course, if you think you'll be wanting to use this sound for question slides in the future, this isn't for you.  

I have used Video Demo option in Captivate 2019 for recording the slides (screen recording). When I publish the video in mp4 format, the slides recorded using Video Demo option are not displayed. I get the loading icon only. Can someone please help?

I used to be able to go to the publish drop down with a responsive project, and I would see the option publish to computer.  Now my only options arePublish for DevicesPublish for Devices (App)Publish to Adobe ConnectPublish to Adobe Captivate Prime It's an incredibly simple microlearning project. Nothing fancy. I used the html tracker and no issues there.  I am not trying to publish to  an lms, I just want a link to put on a webpage. I'm at a loss. I've been making simulations from the same platform for weeks now.  There was never a problem with text entry boxes being created before. As of this morning, however, instead of a text entry box, it just shows a recording of the typing.   I tried clearing my project cache but to no avail. Is there anything else I could try? I really need this to work as my deadline is getting close.   

I am creating a training for a client who is using the content with three learner groups that work in different segments of the business. They wanted a "choose your own adventure" slide where the learner can select the segment in which they work. Based on their selection, all content that comes after is customized to their segment. This is fine - I built it this way, and it all works.  We've begun to discuss edge case scenarios where someone may switch from one segment of the business to another. In their new role, they'd need to retake the training to get the information specific to their segment. My question is... how would this work? The company does not want to reset the user's registration and lose access to their past historical data. Is that possible? If not, should I break the training into three separate trainings for each of the segments, so that if they move from one segment to another, there is a new training they can take without resetting progress? 

Hello. I've just started working with Captivate 12 (a completely new world after 15 years). I'm trying to just start by creating a test project. I've created three slides (two have videos embedded and one is a simple intro slide. I have NOT added any Next buttons or any interactions that would need to be performed by the user to advance to the next slide. Yet, when I preview the project, I have to manually have to click NEXT in the playbar to advance to the next slide. This really makes no sense and does not seem to work at all like Captivate 2019. Please let me know what adjustments I have to make so that certain slides requiring no user interactions will automatically advance. Thank you! 

We have 4 users that have subscriptions for Captivate and all 4 are getting the error above.  I created a ticket with Adobe and they had us try the following-Sign out from Adobe -sign out of captivate -rename the hosts file -rename the OBE File -Restart -log into adobe -log into captivate -run updates for adobe captivateIt got users in for a few days and now the error is appearing again.  Creative cloud is online and signed in and they have Internet connection... we have lots of other users that have full creative cloud subscriptions and they do not get errors when logging in... Just the ones with the Captivate subscriptions.  All 4 subscriptions were purchased at the same time

Hello again. I'm using the lastest version of Captivate 12. My desired behavior on a quiz slide is that the when the learner selects an option the slide audio stops immediately. I cannot seem to make that happen in this version, despite creating an interaction that stops Media if Question.AnswerChoice variable is "not empty". If I can't make that behavior happen, I'd settle for the slide audio stopping when the user clicks the Submit button, but it continues to play until they press Y or click anywhere, which I do not want. Any idea how to make the slide audio stop as soon as an answer is selected, OR when the Submit button is clicked? I could do this easily in Captivate Classic...but I know, preaching to the choir.  Thank you!

I have two fail messages when publishing. The files are copies of the original files before i copy and delete can anyone verify these issues for me:Failed to Create FIle Stream Read and Could not copy folder to my drive.

Hello.  I promise I have read through all previous comments an replies on this but they seem to refer to previous versions of captivate so i want to check what is the correct process.   I have created a course with video demos.  It is not linear and they dont have to watch a video to "Pass".  They can select a vido to watch from a "Library" slide.   I would like the user to be able to rewind and forward the video they are currently on.  The videos have an overlay slide to stop them from running consecutively BUT when the scrubbing option or the playbar is added, the user can end up forwarding too far to the next video accidentally.   How can i have the playbar only control one slide video and not to cover all video slides?   Thank you.   I am pretty new to all this!      

I have a block of Javascript code that I have included on slideEnter on the first slide of my Captivate Classsic project.It works exactly as it should and disables the progress bar (making it read only). I am not sure it will also work if the user returns to the course mid-way though (via a bookmark from the LMS for example)Does anyway have experience running Javascript form the first slide like this?

I am sorry if this may have been answered elsewhere but I am really looking for an advice what to do. I have 4 X .swf files on a 160GB HDD that I removed from a Samsung DVD Player/Recorder. At least one of these is a family video of my children from when they were little. I have searched everywhere on the internet to find a way to convert these SWF file, to no avail. I have downloaded various players which are claimed to be capable of playing, and/or converting them to MP4. They range in size from 1.2GB - 2.6GB. None worked. I am not a medic and my knowledge is very basic in programs and technology. Any advice would be very much appreciated. 

Hello, I've been playing around H5P and making that work without fail and I am  just beginning to invest some time in learning Captivate to see if it meets my needs. I posted my first lesson (a simple drag and drop excercise) to a well know web host provider. Unfortunately, my html page comes up blank on the web. I am able to run it sucessfuly in a variety of browsers from my local drive. I asked my web hosting service if it is a permission issue and they assure me the folders are accessible. In my local version I get the play button and it works great. On the web though, I get a blank white screen. I have not tried loading the SCORM version to an LMS yet. I will test it in Moodle shorlty. I have many opportunities to publish outside an LMS so being able to post non-scoring/reportable lessons or content is important to me. Can anyone help me?  I have found a couple of older threads, but I can't seem to fix this. I appreciate any help I can g

Captivate ClassicI have an issue with a course that uses a custom skin theme. If I try to apply custom Playback Colors the the Progress bar becomes completely invisible (only the thumb remains showing).Has anyone else had this issue and if so what is the solution?

I am posting to the forum because this issue has happened to me enough times that I'm super frustrated about it. A project will randomly not save when I save it. I did hours of work yesterday, saved the file (compusively throughout the time I was working). I open the file this morning and "poof" - hours of work are gone.  I have tried Mac and Windows machines. It happened far more frequently on mac, but the experience yesterday was on windows. I did just update to version 12.2 in hopes that will help whatever issue I'm having. In the past, I was backing up my project on onedrive. This time around, I have the project saved to my desktop to see if the cloud was causing issues (corrupted files, save not working, etc.).  Has anyone else experienced this issue, and do you know what might trigger it? I cannot even begin to count the number of hours I've lost to stuff randomly not saving. 

Can multiple developers work in the same project at the same time? 

Hi there. I never used the Learner Notes Interaction Widget in Classic Captivate, but I'm working on a project now that I think could greatly benefit from having one...Lots of modules within one, and I think it would help learners a bunch to be able to take a few notes on each one, so they have somethign to review/refresh their memories before taking the quiz.  Has anyone figured out a way to do this in the all-new yet? Thank you!Mary

(Or embed it into my normal website) I don`t have a LMS and I don`t see how to do this without FTP.Does anyone know? And could explain it step by step?Thanks a lot!!
