Hallo,ist es wirklich Adobes ernst das ase Dateien nicht in Bibliotheken gespeichert werden bzw. über die CCC App hochgeladen werden können?Wie soll man den sonst Farben in einem Projekt verwalten respektive system- und projektübergreifend verwalten, wenn nicht per Paletten? Vor allem wenn es sich nicht gerade um ein paar Colorswatches handelt.Hat jemand einen Tip, wie man das hinbekommt?

 Hi everyone,This is one of those things that drives me crazy because it feels so simple, but I can’t figure out the solution.I have a circular path that I want to turn into an arc (I’m referring to a section of the perimeter), but I like the ends of the path to be cut perfectly straight at 90°.I’ve attached an image for reference:In Figure A, you can see what happens when I use the Scissors Tool to create the cutting points on my circle and then delete the segment. The path ends keep the natural tangent angle of the circle.In Figure B, you can see that one way to solve this is by expanding the stroke and intersecting it with a rectangle with straight sides. In this case, the ends are cut vertically, which is exactly what I’m looking for.My challenge is to achieve the result from B while keeping it as a path, without needing to expand the stroke into a filled shape.Any ideas on how to do this?Thanks a lot for your help!

Hello! My Adobe Illustrator was working perfectly fine this morning, then out of nowhere, my pasted objects stopped appearing. When I hit copy something and then hit paste, it says that it has been pasted (for example, if I click "edit", it will offer me the option to "undo paste") but nothing is showing up. It shows up on the layer preview, but not the page. The layer is not locked or hidden, nor are any objects. I have tried adding a new layer on top of the rest and pasting there, but it still does not show up. I updated my Adobe Illustrator app, restarted my computer several times, and still nothing. I tried with several objects and different documents, even documents that were working perfectly fine for me this morning, and still nothing. I'm not sure what else to try to fix this issue, but I can't get anything done without being able to copy and paste.

Hello,my computer lost it's battery during the night yesterday, and when I went back onto Illustrator after recharging my computer to draw, the calligraphy pen tool that I was using did not respond to any pressure from my drawing pen, and it would only create a line of just one thickness, just like in that 5pt. or 15pt. pen default mode. I restarted my Wacom pad, and also tried the calligraphic pen tool in Photoshop, which worked by the way, but still did not work on Illustrator. I have also tried opening and closing the file again. I am working on a time sensitive project, and it's really frustrating that this issue is happening to me now.I'd appreciate any help,thanks.

Hi,I am trying to copy and paste an object which spans multiple layers from one file to another. More generally, I would also like to be able to copy/paste such object within the same file. Let me give an example.-Object A in file F1 has its items on layers L1 and L2. We can assume all objects on L1 and L2 belong to A but that may not be necessarily the case. There may be other items on these layers that don't belong to A.-I want to copy A to file F2 and preserve its structure with layers L1 and L2 in the new file F2.-One issue is that there is already a layer named L1 in F2. I don't want to change its name.-I would be happy to copy object A into a new layer called object_A in file F2, with object_A having sublayers L1 and L2.-Eventually, I would like to work with object A in file F2 and duplicate it, preserving its layers. For instance, the duplicate could be assigned layer object_B with its ownl sublayers L1 and L2.-If all goes well, file F2 might have these layers (no indent) and su

Hello,I am not a illustrator user; indeed I am terrible with softwares. However, i need to use my plotter cutter and i have to convert some pdf vector files to eps format.To do that I tried current trial version AI program. However, current AI CS5 is way too expensive for me. knowing that I am going to use thi program for this particular simple process, can anybody recommend me may be an earlier version of AI(least expensive) to do my job?Thanks

I am using the most recent version of Illustrator, 29.6, and I've had the same problem that I've been having in previous versions. If I use the shortcut command to hide edges, the program hides instead. If I click on the actual command in the menu, it works. I had to create a special shortcut in order for this to work correctly. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello there. Came accross the problem: Illustrator doesn't change fonts, showing the text in default font every time. I can see the list of fonts, the preview of the text in this font, but when I click at the font, happens nothing — the text is in the default font 😕😕It happens with every font, so the problem is most probably not in the particular font.Using the latest version of Illustrator (28.1) on MacOS Sonoma 14.2Please help

Everytime i open this and some specific files - the psotions of linked (embedded) images shift postitions and its honestky quote annoying to have to waste time aligning them back to their places. Anyone have any fix?

HII have an idea for a tool i miss, or if i have missed something.I Would like to use the pencil tool as a lasso selection. So insted of drawing the selection you can creat a shape of lines and when the loop is closed everything inside is selected.I miss this when im sitting with irregular patterns that have lots of similar object and i would like to select a bunch of them.

Mi problema surge porque me apoyaba mucho en la herramienta para organizar mis mesas de trabajo. Sin embargo, no me gusta la nueva actualización, ya que no facilita el orden; al contrario, me estresa. En la versión anterior, podía indicar la cantidad de mesas de trabajo y la separación entre ellas, y el sistema las organizaba automáticamente. Ahora tengo que mover cada mesa manualmente, lo cual me resulta más desordenado y me hace perder tiempo en mi trabajo. Sería genial si pudieran revertir esa opción.

All of my 'print' document presets are measured in points, despite the fact that the default Unit in preferences is set to millimetres, and that I have never and will never use points for document dimensions. How do I change all of these to mm? If there was a way to disable points as an option for document sizes, I'd use it.

Hi, I'm working on a project where I have trees and buildings. There are trees throughout the image but I need them to fall behind the buildings and not sit above them. I would think that this would be a simple inverted clipping mask like I'd make in photoshop. How would I go about doing this by using another path shape as the mask. I'd like it to be made from a shape that I can easily edit so that I can adjust it later if I need to. The Make Clipping Mask function only shows what is within the shape mask, and for my use case, this is rather inconvenient. I need it to be inverted/work the opposite way where it hides what is within the shape and shows the rest. I also need this to only happen within a layer such as I put it at the top of my "Trees" layer and it only clips the trees, not the buildnigs. I've attached some screenshots that hopeful. Any help is great.  

Hi everyone,I'm experiencing a strange issue in Adobe Illustrator 2025. When I zoom in beyond 150%, my mouse starts moving and clicking on its own. It even drags objects around the canvas without any input from me.Additionally, my touchscreen shows touch traces as if it's being used, even though I'm not touching it at all.Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated!Thanks!

How can I create a action or a key which can zoom out the document to a specific percentage (say 20%) whenever I press them?

Now I get the attached message when I open up my AI file. I've been able to open it and preview it fine before. Now this. So I downloaded the latest update, and still the same message.Any ideas? I've tried switching from CPU to GPU and I get the same message.

I'm doing physics, my needs are simple, but several things are driving me to baldness. 1) For no apparent reason I'll hit some random key and suddenly all the tools disappear. Even the list of files open at the top of the screen is gone. I don't remember what all the dozens of tools are called, and so I can either spend my precious time (to me) trying to rememeber them or quit the app and restart. Then there's the precious 3D transparent overlay of the corner of a city block or a bank of servers that appears for some exotic reason with no clue how to get rid of it. It looks like some kind of perspectival creation that I'm sure makes someone in development very proud. But I don't want it, I don't need it, and it's so EXTREMELY INTRUSIVE that when I save my work, shut down Illustrator, and hope to never see it again, to my dismay, it's been saved with my document. IT'S NOW A PART OF MY DOCUMENT. Is there an adult version of Illustrator?

I'm using a template file provided by my manufacturer for a card game box. To build out the artwork, I copied and pasted a large number of graphics from another Illustrator file (these were pre-designed assets from a different box that I’m repurposing).Initially, everything worked as expected—I could open the file and see all the layers. But now, when I open the document, many of the layers just show <image> instead of the actual artwork.When I open the file, I receive this warning:"Illustrator now honors 9-slice scaling of symbols. Any scaling done on symbol instances with 9-slice scaling option in legacy version will look different now. I am trying to build an elipse to be precise to given location in my object. Being Very old school, I could do it witha compass, triangles, and a T-square. Is it possible to create an arc where the center of the arc is on one point (intersection) and draw the arc between to other points? I don't see a compass tool or I would use it. Thanks.
