There is an announcement here about the release of v29.6:https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/whats-new.html I'm curious to see if this bug was fixed: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/49178864-type-on-path-doesn-t-slide-smoothly-anymore But, I don't see that version available in the Creative Cloud app, nor do I see anyone talking about it online as of today, 6/16/25     

Hello everybody,I am struggeling with following problem.I need to know when a document is closed and in some cases I need to suppress the "Save changes...before closing?" dialogue, an modify the document before closing.Therefor I use the "AI Command Notifier: Before Close" (kAICloseCommandPreNotifierStr) cause this one is sent before the dialogue. Then I set SetDocumentModified(false) and the dialogue is suppressed.BUT:When multiple documents are opened and I close another document than the active one. All actions are applied to the current document (of course), which is not the one going to be closed.So the big question is: Is it possible to get to know which document is closed (were the is clicked in the document tabs) and how?I am also using the kAIDocumentAboutToCloseNotifier and I think here I can get the AIDocumentHandle out of the notifyData - unfortunately this is sent to late for my need.And the kAICloseCommandPreNotifierStr has NULL as notifyData.Any ideas?Thanks in advance,

Hello,I savede pictures on adobe cloud. I can see them when I go to creative cloud desktop app files.But when I am on ilustrator and try to place immages from my files on creative cloud, it says no cloud documents - yet.I already tried logoff, and back onn creative cloud, tried different versions of Ilustrator (2025 and 2025 beta), tried saving pictures in different areas and tried relink and place options but nothing makes it work.

Hi,As far as i can tell blend options in illustrator with specified distance is limited to max. 1000pt (352mm). It would be highly appreciated if this limitation can be removed.My goal is to be able to set markings for washers on a banner with a spacing of +- 500mm.Any tips on how to achieve this with a workaround are appreciated 🙂

When creating a document that needs a canvas that's larger than 227" it results in pathes, objects and even gridlines being offset from their original path without any additional effects?When creating a document that has a 227" canvas averything is correctly aligned to their place.Did not find a way to fix this with any trick ... big canvas just seems bascially broken.(Look at the images, what a mess, isn't it? And you cannot change anything to make it work. It looks like an effect in apperance, but there is none... )

Hallo,ich habe Ebenen und Unterebenen erstellt und möcht die Datei nun als PDF exportieren. Jedoch werden mir immer nur die Ebenen angezeigt. Somit kann ich ich nicht in einem Struckturbau absteiengen und entsprechend die Unterebenen ein bzw ausblenden.  Könnt ihr mir hier weiter helfen?  Grüße Mario 

O Illustrator funciona normalmente, porém quando faço o caminho Efeitos > 3D e Materiais > Rodear, ele fecha instantaneamente. Ao abrir o software de novo, aparece o aviso ''O Adobe Illustrator acabou de se recuperar de uma falha'' e o documento é recuperado, mas não consigo de jeito nenhum completar a operação. How do I get the swatch info to appear in the swatches panel?

Anyone have any idea why is there no keyboard shortcut to cycle through different text cases? There is also no option to add a custom keyboard shortcut for this basic function. Instead it seems the only option is to select Type>Change Case and select from there.This is possible in other Adobe products, but not in Illustrator. It used to be , but is yet another feature that appears to have been removed / broken...

If you scale a text frame in the current Illustrator on Mac (at least), the text in the frame will scale differently compared to the original text frame!I did not find any fix so far ... It does not deal with any unit conversion. Original width of text is 33,537 mm and it get's 87,197,mm, like it should (260% exactly), and text will be scaled from 9,953 pt to exactly 25,878 pt, exactly what it should be.But text will be wrapped in the big size frame and not break until the text frame gets smaller than 81,755 mm! So there is -5 mm(!) buffer. But text will be wrapped in the small text frame completely different. It will break at 36,891 mm, wich is more the +3mm compared to the original width. (and it will be wrapped completely different in Deli-ver with we and the end of the first line versus De-liver in the big frame with we in the second line!) So this issue deals with an unexpected and complete different hyphenation. 

Hi Illustrator team, Can you make a guide layout option, like Guide Layout in Photoshop or Make Guides in Indesign.Illustrator is super powerfull tool and use it all the time for making layouts, but I often find myself spending loads of time fine tuning guides and constructing a layout system, that could be done in seconds uisng a Layout Guide tool.Just litterally copy the Layout Guide tool from Photoshop.Set Page MarginsSet # ColumnsSet # RowsSet margins between columns and grids..... Figma has it....... Indesign has it...... Photoshop has it........ Pretty fundemental to doing layouts if you ask me.

I am doing prepress work where I need to step and repeat deisgns in a grid. However, the designs have objects on different layers (Print, Cut, Clear, White, etc). I need them to stay on these various layers. If I group the obejcts, they all get moved onto a single layer.    Does anyone know of a plugin or workflow that can accomplish this?

I am adding Artboard background color after i have my 3D image on the artboard. when doing do, the 3D image then appears to degrade in quality, meaning it seems more pixulated and lines are not as smooth as when i did not have a background. I tried rendering the image, but it did not help much.  Is this normal? Is their anything I can do to prevent this from happening?

I have noticed that in some .ai documents I have, I can't type a sentence because it writes everythingtogetheterlikethiswithnospaces. When I first write a word and then hit space, you can see how the text bar creates the space, but when i continue writting the bar goes back sticking to the last word ;( it drives me crazy, help!

How to bold text with ctrl+B in Illustrator?  Is it disabled by default or do you have to convert the text to "look" bold manually?

Hi everybody, Got a new conundrum for you. Still working on my book cover file for the printer, Ingram Spark, but running into trouble figuring out how to lower the TAC/TIC values below 240%. Anybody have a suggestion? Doesn't seem like there are any recent recommendations/posts on this. I did find several folks that said to individually adjust the CMYK sliders for every single swatch. A few problems with this: how do you adjust all the sliders to maintain the same color?this doesn't do any good for embedded jpegs (like my red background leather effect)what happens when you have mutiple layers interacting, like a dropshadow over the jpeg background? how do you adjust the CMYK for both without messing up both color renditions? Here are Ingram Spark's specs for the cover submission:300 ppiPDF COMPLIANCE: Files must be PDF/X-1a:2001 or PDF/X-3:2002 compliant. Hi all I am sure this has been asked a million times but i cant find the answer. When i drag my guides across from the ruler in AI, they dont show until i click on something in the document - very hard to place accurately when using. Also the direction selection tool also doesnt show when i have dragged it to select something - please help i am going crazy!

I've opened several files that have the same font, a font I got from Adobe that I've used for years, and suddenly the text is highlighted to indicate that the font is no longer recognized. I've restarted all programs, signed in and out of Adobe, and my account shows that the font is installed. My only option is to "remove" it. But it's not showing up in my list of fonts at all. The font in question is Eds Market Script Regular. Other Eds Market fonts are showing up, but not that one. The client wants this font specifically, and it's been on my ads for years, so why did it suddenly stop working? It's not a third party font, either - as I said, it's Adobe. I have the entire Eds Market family installed and this one isn't showing up. In fact, I think there are several others not showing up as well, but this is the one I need.I'm looking in my Creative CLoud app, and as you can see, only a small portion of the fonts are showing up in that. I created 3 nearly identical bar charts using no linked/embeded/external art. Everything is just text labels and rectangular objects. Two of the charts are under 500kb but, one chart is 18mb, and I don't understand why. I had intended to email the AI files to the client so they could update statistics in the future. But, this one file is really large to email, and doesn't match the others in size. All files are 8.5x11, RGB color space. Each file has about 20 layers, sharing a common naming scheme between them.No Groups or sub-layers.Show All is grayed-out.The Links panel is empty.I have checked each layer and there is nothing other than the text label and rectangular object.Saving As or Save A Copy results in the same file size.Saving with/without PDF compatible makes no difference. If I copy the contents to a new blank document, then the file size is normal. But, I loose all my layer organization in the process. It's a pain to recreate the layer names and organizat
